Trouble with Switcher
Hello,
I'm making a tree that uses Frank's technique for the selection:

I made a bit of a modification to it though by maintaining the selection link on the first level node, and just using his version for the second level. The first level just uses a regular setCurrentRowWithKey action.
Now I need the detail to show in a form. The tricky part is that if the user clicks the first level node I need the detail to show for that (all values from that view object that aren't listed on the tree) but if the user clicks the second level node I need the details from that to show.
So, my problem here is trying to get the switcher to know which to render when.
I've tried setting the facetname on the switcher to correspond to the depth of the tree but that doesn't work.
The only thing I can think of is somehow to create a global variable that changes when the user clicks on the selection, which the switcher is then bound to. I can't figure out how to get a variable that I can bind to though. I've tried making methods in my backing bean but for some reason I can't bind to them.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am having trouble with switching trough tabs
Hello there,
Recently I've been having trouble switching trough tabs in both Safari and Chrome. It's a second or two delay, and it happens only with the tabs. Now, I suspect my mouse to be the issue, but I am not really sure.
Is there anything I can try?Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

I'm having trouble with my Apple ID. I changed my email account, and recently (a month ago) and since I switched is requested every time I open any app to Apple ID password to the old email. How can I solve this? Could it be that my iPhone 4S is in sync with my Ipod???
If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPhone by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPhone. If you created a new account then any content that you purchased/downloaded via the old account will remain tied to that old account, and only that old account can download updates to its apps.

if i made an appt. with Apple, and i asked them if i could switch my black Iphone 5 to a white Iphone 5, because i always have trouble with black Iphones, would they let me?
i've had black iphones in the past, and the same thing always gets messed up, the network, i will not have service what-so ever, and when my mother's iphone will be right next to me and she will have full service. Also the lock screen button/power button broke on both of my black iphones as well. i was just wondering if they would consider. Does apple have an email i could contact?

You may want to try resetting and, if necessary, restoring your iPhone.

If there is no image on the screen, press the Home button to attempt to wake the device.

hi i am having trouble with games on my ipad as i have been playing them the screen goes white and i can't play the game i go back to the game centre on the ipad and click on the icon for the game and come up to play i push play buton and the screen come up again white so any body had the same problem could they let me no thanks
Quit the game and restart the iPad.
To quit the game - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that doesn't work try this.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -
X-Fi Xtereme Music mode switching and troubles with channels redirection
Good Day.
I have bought a X-Fi sound card and now I have troubles with my speaker system. I have analog stereo system and headphones, I connect them using my amplifier. All cables are connected properly.
When I use entertainment mode there are no problems with speaker system if 2.0/2.1 is set. But if I set headphones channels become redirected: left becomes right and right becomes left.
When i use game mode channels are redirected both in 2.0/2.1 and headphones modes.
If I connect my headphones to sound card directly there are no problems excepting entertainment mode 2.0/2.1 when channels are redirected.
Please halp me to resolve the problem.

Searching on the web, most results I found lead to this page, where it is said that the problem is due to badly tuned overcurrent protection, and advocated that unplugging and switching off the computer for a little while gets things back into normal. This does not really work for me; the problem seems to occur more randomly, unfortunately with high probability (my camera is available after less than one boot out of ten).
I tried to ensure that the ehci-hcd module is loaded at boot with the ignore-oc option (with a file in /etc/module-load.d/), to no avail.
I also wrote a script which alternatively removes and reloads the ehci-pci driver until my device is found in lsusb. It is sometimes helpful, but usually not. And even when my device is found that way, it can only be used for a while before disappearing again.
Anyway, such a hack is unacceptable... So, my questions are:
is it indeed related to overcurrent protection ?
is there anything else I can try ?
should I file somewhere an other of the numerous bug reports about "unable to enumerate USB device" already existing ?
If of any importance, I am running linux 3.15.7, because at the time I installed my system, I couldn't get the hybrid graphic card Intel/AMD working under 3.16.

I have a Macbook Pro and am having difficulty printing documents from ‘Pages' from my Hp Deskjet 1510. I have installed the necessary software for the printer and it is connected via USB. Every time I try to print the printer icon comes up as it should, 'printing' and then 'job completed' and then the icon disappears. (Nothing is printed.) I thought it might be something to do with Pages compatibility with the printer but exporting the document to Word or making it a PDF doesn’t change anything. I don’t have Microsoft Word on my computer. The scanner does work and when I printed a ‘Test Page’ that worked too.
Let me know if you know why this is happening.With these settings the network now works flawlessly, however, when i have my ethernet cable plugged in, my internet access via my airport card(on the macbook pro) is no longer available. Hoping you can tell me why this would be with this info i've provided.
Educated guess. The networking devices have priorities as to which are used. The standard order is that Ethernet has a higher priority than Airport.
While your Ethernet is unplugged it is inactive and the Mac ignores it. Once you plug it in, the Mac sees that it is active and switches traffic to that interface.
I actually take advantage of this feature at home, but configuring my Airport and Ethernet with identical fixed IP addresses. Normally I'll use Airport, but if I'm copying a huge file and I want faster performance, I'll just walk my MacBook (previously iBook, previously Powerbook) over to my Ethernet switch and plug in my MacBook. Magically, the Mac detects that the Ethernet is active and continues the file transfer uninterrupted over the faster 100baseT Ethernet connection. When the transfer is finished, or if I really need to move back to the Comfy Chair, I unplug the Ethernet cable, and all activity reverts back to the Airport, all without disrupting any existing networking connections.
You on the other hand have totally different settings for your Ethernet and your Airport, so when you switch to Ethernet, you basically loose your Airport connections.
Something you can try:
System Preferences -> Network
Gear icon on the bottom left, next to the [+] [-] icons.
Select *Set Service Order...*
Now Drag the network interfaces into the perfer priority order you want. In this case put Airport above Ethernet.
NOTE: You may want to create a new Network Location for this, instead of messing with your normal home Location (which is most likely the default Automatic. That way you have your original you can always fall back to. -

Ok... my DNS has a trouble... but i don't know how to fix it ! Is there anybody in this world who can help me?
I don't want to have a real DNS for my little server... but i understand that my config is not good. I can understand that having a caching DNS can improve the quality of my config, and, in other hand that it is necessary for having the services of OSX server in an effeciant way, but i don't know the way and the parameters i've to put in my config to fix it.
Now, just some words on my config...
First, i've got an adress provided by my FAI (the frenchy workd for ISP, i think) is "193.252.209.135". This adress is set on a d-link modem router via PPOE. The DNS of my provider (wanadoo.fr) are 80.10.246.1 and 80.10.246.132.
After this there is my G4 With mac osX server.
• en0, the "extenal gate" and the internal ethernet on the computer is plug on the modem with the adress "192.168.0.109". the router is set on "192.168.0.1". the dns are 80.10.246.1 and 80.10.246.132.
• en1, the "internal gate" for the network, an PCI card in the computer, has the parameters : adress "192.168.3.1", subnet "255.255.255.0", router "192.168.3.1". no dns records. (no VPN service for the moment). After this, i've a switch for the macs behind the server. (without any link agregation)
All those parameters have been set by the gateaway assistant.
And now the parameters inside the admin server :
DHCP : en1 - adress from 192.168.3.2 to 192.168.3.254, name 192.168.3. no static card. Router 192.168.3.1. No name for domaine by defaut, name servers 80.10.246.1 and 80.10.246.132 No LDAP, no WINS.
DNS : No zone transfert, recursivity is ON. No zone records.
NAT : set on full, Transfert and Network Address Translation.
When i've been on the terminal, i had those information:

All my "main" services are working fine (AFP, Firewall, DHCP, DNS, Update) Open Directory is running without Kerberos. By the way, all the macs after the G4server can have a corect access to internet, and share information via LDAP of Open Directory, but i've to say that, a couple of days later, a friend of mine, who has a PC computer, can't have a DHCP dynamic address when he plug on my little network. I think that it is an other trouble, and i've decided to have e look to this later... but if someone knows how to resolve it...
So here begins the nightmare for me... so if anybody can help me... i realy need some help to fix this mystery!!!

If you want to use OpenDirectory and other services you should/need to set up the DNS correctly using the server's private IP (and others in the same range the server is setup with). The domainname used internally can be different than your public one.
And then use the server as the only DNS for you LAN clients and the server itself. Forwarders (your ISP DNSes) in /etc/named.conf usually speeds up lookups of external addresses (also turning off IPv6 can help that too). -

I haven't got any more replies to my post "I'm having big trouble with my new mainboard" by Krelian 2003.09.13 at 05:25. Please help! I've been struggling with this for a LONG time. And now my computer won't boot at all! Sometimes the LED's in front of the computer lights up for half a second, and nothing more happens. The only sign of life is the green light in the LAN jack. It happened after I took the ide cable for my harddrive in and out of the mainboard. This is insane, how can that suddeny happen :O ?! I was asked by wonkanoby to post max amps for my PSU, I did, and I really need to know if I maybe need a new PSU, since he asked that. Can a new PSU solve all the problems mentioned in my previous posts? Everything was fine except that I couldn't get into Windows, before i tried another harddrive on my computer. How can that complicate things so much? I have tried going barebone, and taking out the cmos battery and setting the jumpers JBAT1, J10 and J11. I have also tried every suggestion I got. Please help! I really need to get this fixed!
-KrelianSome power supplies or designed so that if there is a short or overload they shut them selfs off and some will not turn back on. Some have a relay that will click back on and work, some you have to cycle the power switch. Those that won't come back on will have to be replaced. I'm not saying that yours is that type as I have no way of telling. But if you have a friend who will loan you a good power supply you might try it. As someone else said just turning off the power will not darn all the power from some motherboards. To test this turn off your power supply than turn on the computer with the start botton. Mine will flash the lights and fans will start to spin than die. So every time you turn off computer to work on it. After turning off PSU hit the start botton to drian any power left in it before working on it. Also do this after unplugging it just to make sure.

I am feeling so ripped off right now. I have wanted a Mac for years and believed the hype about it's stability and I have had more trouble with this Imac 2011 than I have ever had with a pc. It locks up with several software products from APP store. I have already had to have a technician to look at it and really couldn't figure out what the deal was. I was told that the APP store software should give me no problems but the truth is that it locks up on the software. This machine is only 4 weeks old and I am using 37 g on a 1 T hard drive. There is no reason for it to be locking up. Also, when I try to use the help program, it always tells me that I am not connected to the internet even though I have used both the mail program and the browser with no problem just before that. I successfully used the help program on my pc lots of times. I did not need a $2000. plus machine to just get email. I just wanted to unload on somebody that might understand my pain and after checking out this site...I think there is a few of you out there.
I was told that the APP store software should give me no problems but the truth is that it locks up on the software.
The apps downloaded from the Mac App Store are written by third party developers, not Apple. If you have problems with those apps you need to visit the support area for their websites. Launch the App Store, locate the app name. You should see a support link.

Go to ~/Library/Preferences. Move the com.apple.helpviewer.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash. Restart your Mac, try the Help menu.
If you need help finding that file, hold down the Finder icon in the Dock then click: New Finder Window. From the menu bar top of your screen click: Go > Go to Folder. Type this in exactly as you see it here: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.helpviewer.plist That will take you right to that file.
(.plist) files stores information about a particular app or in this case, the Help viewer. Often times deleting the .plist file resolves the issue.
It's fine to "unload"... we understand that you expect your iMac to be stable but there are times when things go awry. That's why we have these forums so that you can you get help.

Update of photoshop CC - trouble with NVIDIA Quadro 1000M display driver. PS freezes

Since today I've got trouble with my PS CC.
I've updated PS CC yesterday 2014-12-12.
I was doing some drawings today and two times PS freezes during switching layers of or selecting a mask.
A message appeared that there was trouble with the display driver an PS switched off the GPU support because of that issue.
Ok, I thought let's update the display driver and so I've done today. I switched to actual NVIDIA display driver version 314.21
I'm working with an NVIDIA Quadro 1000M on a DELL mobile Workstation Precision M4600 with 8 GB RAM.
Now when I start up PS and press alt+k, my 2 displays showing a black screen for 1-2 seconds.
After closing the general setup window again black screen for 1-2 sec and the top menu bar is showing no entries.
When I move the mouse pointer over the bar, the menus appear again. But the bar is like transparent at the parts where no menues are.
When I unlock the window from the screen an put it back fitting to the screen everything looks like normal.
Till today I hadn't any problem with my notebook in that kind of way.
Maybe someone has or had similar problems.
Would be nice if someone can help me.
thanksOh, that sounds very bad. It's not that bad for me. It's not crashing that often at the moment, only black screens at start up or if setting dialog is opened. But I will see tomorrow how often it will crash, during today it crashed 2 times when doing some ridiculous simple actions like switchid to another layer and the other time when trying to edit an mask layer. I will contact the support chat on monday regarding this issue. Maybe there is a solution or an update soon... I keep may fingers crossed for you.

trouble with Safari - it keeps shutting down - all because I tried to get rid of MacKeeper ad - after I install what I thought was an update since I already had MacKeeper, it would not allow me to continue without buying the new one. Make a long story short I switch to Firefox and deleted as much as I could of Safari (files, preferences etc) Now I'm at OS Yosemite X 10.10.2 and would like to get Safari up and running again - I've searched for Adware in applications etc but could not find it. Found what to do from the community, but before I go that route...Do I have to know where or if I actually have this spyware? And if I were to reinstall Maveric - would my files and such be undisturbed? so that only Safari would be replaced? I"M LOST .... (as if you couldn't tell)

You may have installed one or more of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. Can't find the map Digital Editions
I installed Adobe Digital Editions on mijn computer but I can't use it. When I open the program it says "Can't find the map Digital Editions". Can someone help me? I need this program for my epubs and my e-reader.
