Try to catch the 'long' operation ...

Hello,
With the following SQL statement, I try to catch the remaining time of a long operation :
select sid,totalwork, sofar, time_remaining, ELAPSED_SECONDS
from v$session_longops
where totalwork > sofar;
The aim is to use it to warn the user when he does a long search.
But i can't find a way to isolate one long operation concerning one user/action.
The problem is that multiple person login into the same user (not really good, I know but ...) and with a user, I can't get his SID ...
Any help willbe gladly appreciated.

How can i catch the jsp checking event ?

As we know, there are three parameters which is about checking in the weblogic.xml, pageCheckSeconds,*servlet-reload-check-secs*,*resource-reload-check-secs*, but how can i catch the checking event when the webapp is active.
The fellowing is my simple test, i deployed a webapp on a weblogic server instance, and it was actived. I wrote a simple bash shell to try to catch the event, but fail. i througnt it may be dependent on the webapp's stage mode. but i change the mode, and try again, it was fail too.

I tested on WLS 11g ps2(10.3.3) which is running in Development Mode also, but it was the same as WLS 9.2 MP4.
During the weblogic server running, it don't check the application resources , but it will check the $Domain_Home/autodeploy directory every three seconds in Development Mode , the following is the result.

I set the frequency to every one seconds this time by using sleep method in my Bash Shell script.

What is wrong with the new operating system download?

When I try to download the new operating system it fails every time. I get all the way to the end of the download and a screen pops up that says my internet connection failed. It's connected 100% though

no error code is given, it gets to the very end of downloading it (so obviously the internet is connected and working perfectly). then when it tries to process the file it says, "Network Connection Timed Out"... every single time!!!!!!

Long Operation - OEM

I ran a query on a table with 2 million records. When i looked in OEM the session in which the query is running is on Long operation. Selected the Long Operations tab, in which i can see three sections Active Operations, Past Operations and Details.
My Question is in Detail section the progress bar starts with 0 and ends with a Calculated number (say 2442013). What is the Logic/calculation that oracle uses to arrive at this number (Blocks). My advance thanks for your responses

When you run the query, it is optimizer who check optimal path to access data, it also know how many block need to scan.
Same info you will get from v$session_longops.

Since I downloaded the new operating system to my iPod touch I can no longer update my Apps or download new ones. My password is recognized but the download process is immediately interrupted when I touch update (all) or download.

Contact Rhapsody to see if they have or plan to release an update for the app. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears?

When I try to zoom the text of an e-mail I received or sent , I can no longer use the keys Command + to enlarge the text, although I can reduce it with Command -.
As I have a problem with my eyes, This is a serious matter for me.
When I write an e-mail, if I select text and press Command +, it just displaces the text to the right.
Now, my husband has a USB keyboard. If he connects it to my computer, his regular Command + does not work either, but he uses the extended keyboard, then it works. Unfortunately, he needs it for a musical application which does not work with a wireless keyboard.

Firefox 3.6.4 and 3.6.6 use a process called, "plugin-container.exe" which was using up most of my CPU when I opened up multiple tabs that contained Adobe Flash files, and caused Firefox to lock up.
My solution was to use Firefox 3.5.10 which you can get from the Mozilla website at [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html]
I am using Adobe Flash 10.1.53.64 without any problem in this version of Firefox. Check the release notes, I believe it contains all the latest security fixes in "Firefox 3.6.4".
Hopefully, they will fix Firefox 3.6 in the next version (e.g. Firefox 3.6.7), until then you should probably use "Firefox 3.5.10".

I have been using Word for my writing and I receive most of my emails with Word attachments. I have been using Apple products for years, always touting their reliability and customer service. I am not a techie, I just want to be able to do what I do on the computer and Apple always fulfilled my needs. Now I am told because of some operating system gobbledygook, I have to go out and purchase new software to use Word. This is despicable. I see no particular benefit to using Lion, but I do see a lot of detriments. Apple now seems to have turned into Microsoft, making software obsolete so they can make more money and to **** with the customer. You can be sure that my next computer will be a PC. I have completely lost confidence in Apple.

I seem to never tire of saying this. It was for Apple when they first announced 10.7 to disclose this. Yes, it was widely reported -- or rather, rumored -- but not by Apple. And many people who have gotten caught by this assumed that Apple itself would have told them beforehand about the loss of this very important feature which they had come to rely on. As far as I know, not even in fine print, does this appear anywhere on the Lion announcement or any of its links.
I am not saying Apple had to continue Rosetta in Lion, or forever, just that if it was going to be dropped, it should have been made known.
As relative "insiders" we should not forget that many people don't have the time, habit or interest to do this kind of research. I think it is a breach of trust that Apple has never directly made this announcement or given people the opportunity to decide beforehand if giving up their PPC apps for a new OS is a worthwhile tradeoff.

The phone has been restored from settings from an old iPod Touch. The Apple ID username there worked well then, but I have since updated that. The email is no longer useable (university) and the passwords I have tried do not work - nor should they since I have updated my Apple account. That crash appears to be casued by the Facebook plug-in.
Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts or Users & Groups on 10.7 and 10.8), make a new Library in that account, import some shots and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.

As expected, cdm-git also works fine since DMs only work in the root mode as of now.
Just for the record, both type commands output "/usr/bin/startx" and pacman -Q gives "systemd 215-4".
