Trying to create rollover, creates extra image

I sliced up my images in PhotoShop and saved as HTML and images.  I've imported them into Dreamweaver, everything looks great. When I go to create a rollover(image object/rollover), it's like I'm adding another image to the layout.   What am I doing wrong?

Here's one example of your code:
<td><a href="http://www.brookstropicals.com/tropicalrecipes/papayarecipes" onmouseout="MM_swapImgRestore()" onmouseover="MM_swapImage('crpapayas','','/nutrition/nutritionnews/introduction/images/rollCRpap.jpg',1 )"><img src="/nutrition/nutritionnews/introduction/images/Caribbean-Red-Recipes.jpg" alt="Caribbean Red Papayas Recipes" name="crpapayas" width="344" height="54" border="0" id="crpapayas" /></a></td>
You're going to remove the section in red.  Instead, you'll be adding the mouseover code under the <img> tags.  Like this:
<img src="/nutrition/nutritionnews/introduction/images/Caribbean-Red-Recipes.jpg" alt="Caribbean Red Papayas Recipes" name="crpapayas"width="344" height="54" border="0" id="crpapayas" onmouseover="this.src='ADDRESS OF YOUR MOUSEOVER IMAGE'" onmouseout="this.src='nutrition/nutritionnews/introduction/images/Caribbean-Red-Recipes.jpg'" /></a></td>
Find similar sections of code and do the same thing, with the appropriate image addresses inserted and you should be golden.

              bufferedImage.flush();
    try {

         } catch (IOException e) {

THE PROBLEM : It creates C:/MyImage.bmp on my file system, but the file is empty (size 0).
    Am I missing something ?
    Thanks

Try changing ".bmp" to "bmp". If that fails, try posting an SSCCE.

  • Getting -61 error when trying to create an image

I am trying to create a new image .. and my hard drive is not listed on the left hand panel .. the other night it worked fine except it would keep locking up so i did a disc repair and then restarted when i did a restart to prepare for a fresh install i noticed my hard drive was no longer in the disc utlitity not sure why that is.. Now the Snow leopard disc is stuck in the drive and I am unable to eject the disc tried almost every ejection command there is nothing .. isnt there a way to mount the hard drive through the terminal?

This is from a reply to your other thread:

Hmmm... I have a hunch:  attempting to read through the imprecise Mac terminology of your previous posts, my intuition tells me that when you were referencing "installing on a new image" and "creating an image" that then "defaulted to 17 MB", you were misusing the term "image" to mean "partition".
If that's the case and you went and tried to create a partition on your hard drive , then you obviously destroyed all your data and even the drive's formatting.
That would most certainly explain a non-working hard drive.

  • Restore Failure when trying to create bootable image of OS X 10.6

I am trying to create a bootable drive containing the data from a OS X Snow Leopard Family Pack disk (Family Pack is possibly the source of my problem??).
I have already partitioned an external HDD to accommodate the data and have created a disk image of the OS X install DVD (filetype is .cdr) using Disk Utility. In Disk Utility, when I try to use the Restore tab to put the .cdr onto the desired partition, it gives me this:
Naturally, my next step is to scan the image. So (in Disk Utility) I click on the .cdr, go up to Images and click Scan Image for Restore. Which eventually gives me this:
I have tried deleting the .cdr and remaking it, but it gave me the same result. Any advice/suggestions are appreciated.

    Wrong approach.
Insert the install DVD into your Mac, and set the external partition as the target for installation.
Alternatively, use the Resore function (or better still CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper) to clone the entire Macintosh HD. Not via a disc image.

    Hi,
There will be a .vhdx file for each hard disk that was included in the system image backup when it was created in Windows 8.1. According to this, I suspect this is related to this kind of reason: The failure happens while the .VHD file created by Windows
    Backup is mounted during backup.

  • Disk utility is crashing when trying to create a new image

Seriously need some help if anyone has an idea of why disk utility is crashing while trying to create a disk image. I'm not finding any other info on this issue.
My HD is failing and being replaced tomorrow and I'm desperately trying to create disk images of both my mac HD and of bootcamp for the new drive being installed.
Any recommendations or suggestions would be truly appreciated.

Thank you for responding so quickly. I do have Carbon Copy Cloner, but if disk utility isn't working, getting it to restore is going to be an issue, though haven't attempted a restore since the HD has to be replaced.
CCC also doesn't clone bootcamp either unfortunately.
Currently running "verify permissions" using Disk Utility and so far so good, it hasn't crashed, it seems to be an issue related to imaging with disk utility.
Then I am going to attempt using the install disk to see if I can get disk utility again and try imaging Bootcamp again too.

The 901 number is additional space added in the scripts. This indicates that the source image size was 0.
Since you are making a NetBoot from Install media, under the covers the installer process is being run to create a NetBoot volume. The media shipped with the 27" iMac is most likely CPU specific and thus the installation fails because you are trying to create the image (i.e. install the system) on an unsupported CPU.
In order to produce a NetBoot from the install media, you'll have to create it on the 27" iMac.
    Hi Brian,
Thanks for the response. This makes perfect sense. I'll give this a try and shout back!

  • Trouble Creating System Image in Windows 8.1

My system: Satellite P55-A5312 with 750GB HDD, Windows 8.1 (upgraded from pre-installed 8.0), BIOS fw 1.90 (just updated)
Tried to create System Image: Start ==> Search ==> File History ==> System Image Backup ( in lower left corner of the screen).  Successfully finds the 1TB backup drive (newly formatted at NTFS) attached via USB.  Message says 204GB of space will be needed to store the image. (Note: 1TB is almost 5 times what is needed).
Start Backup ==> "The Backup Failed", "There is not enough disk space to create the volume shadow copy on the storage location, etc.).
I found the following thread in this forum: http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/System-Recovery-and-Recovery/System-Image-Fails-on-Windows-8-1-Pro/m-p/...
and am curious what the following recommendation means: "To work around this problem, increase the size of the OEM partition on the backup drive."
What OEM partition?  My backup drive has a single NTFS partition consuming the entire capacity of the HDD.  What am I doing wrong?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

After increasing the size of 1 partition, the System Image utility completed without error.  To fully confirm, I need to try an image restore.
The long answer is noteworthy (refer to the attached).  I used 3 different methods to query partition size and usage.
    1. Disk Management shows that 4 of the 5 partiions are 100% free space.  What I don't understand is how the System Image utility of Windows 8.1 understands the partition sizes/usage but Disk Management does not.
    2.  Macrium Reflect gives what appears to be an accurate representation of the partitions and their size/usage.  It also includes a (hidden?) partition not shown in Disk Management, thus 6 instead of 5 partitions.
    3. MiniTool Partition Wizard agrees for the most part with Macrium Reflect with two notable exceptions.  It shows the 128MB partition has zero free space (vs 113.7MB = 89% free space using Macrium Reflect).  This is a BIG difference.  Also, the C partition showed slightly different usage than Macrium Reflect.
In the end, I used MiniTool Partition Wizard to modify 1 partition only (increase the 350MB partition to 414MB, resulting in a little more than the mandatory 50MB free space).  The System Image operation then completed without error.
What baffles me is why 3 different utilities give different results of partition usage (I think they all agree on partition size).  I would have never thought that determining partition usage was akin to rocket science, but perhaps it is...

    Hi
    It means that your layout value is not legal. Also, try using this instead: currentImage = Image.createImage(message,0,message.length);
imageItem = new ImageItem("Default", currentImage, 0, "image");Also, you might want to try using ImageItem.LAYOUT_CENTER instead of imageItem.LAYOUT_CENTERMihai

  • Create an image scroller with swipe&drag in Edge Animate

    Hi folks!
I'm trying to create a image scroller like this one http://www.awwwards.com/demo/touchSwipe-gallery-demo.html.
For the Swipe, I use the wonderful JQuery Plugin TouchSwipe http://labs.rampinteractive.co.uk/touchSwipe/demos/, but for the image sliding I would use the Adobe Edge Animate Timeline.
I know that I can use the Swipe events in Edge Animate to make start or reverse the timeline with pictures, but I would also make working an intermediate "dragging".
My problem, in fact, is: how can I make that - if I've only begun to swipe  and I move the finger to left or right without releasing it - my timeline "drag" (or scrubs) frame by frame - like in the example above - until I release the finger?
    Many thanks in advance!
    Davide

    Hi Elaine!
First, thanks for your prompt answer!
I read the link you gave me: in fact, I was aware - also thanks to Old Tim's posts - about how to create a "scrubber" in Edge Animate, starting from formulas like:
    Translation = (positionOfScrubber/WidthOfScrubbing)*timeline;
My problem now is - I fear - more subtle: I can swipe left-right a set of pictures, I can "scrub" a timeline (using for example JqueryUI for the dragging), but I don't know how to put together the swiping and the dragging.
I would that - like in the example from my first post - if, e.g., I completed the swipe left, my timeline would play the animation that shows the pic moving to the left but, if I didn't complete the swiping and I begun dragging to the left, the animation would move with my dragging-finger (the "scrubbing")...
I know is very subtle, but it's how the gallery scrollers works on web and app in mobile devices...
    Many thanks for your attention!

  • How to create an image of an audio CD

    Hi everyone,
I just recorded my new DJ set, and I would like to share it over my website. But this time I would like to share it, not only in MP3 format, but also as an actual CD, that people could download and burn as if it were an original.
I have one burned copy, all nicelly tracked and all that, and I tryed to create an image with Disk Utility, which doesn't seem to work at all.
Also, I want to share that CD image, both for Mac and PC, so how do I do that? Because probably I'll need different formats for different platforms, right? Am I confusing stuff here?
Can any of your bright minds guide me on this one?
    Thanks a lot.

    dhort,
You are confusing me as well.
What do you think a PC-user could do with a .CDR-image in HFS+ format?
And what a Macuser should do with this file too?
    I think anamorphis wanted to offer a format what can be used to burn it directly as Audio-CD;
PC-user could burn bin/cue-files for example with Nero directly as Audio-CDs.
For Macusers are also a lot of applications like Toast or maybe LiquidCD for burning this image as Audio-CD.
Sure, as Macuser you could copy the Audio-files from .CDR-image into iTunes or burn-apps, but thats not the smart way.

  • IDVD 5 will not create an image,- why??? help please, i'm gettin' crazy!!!

    hi everybody,
since 3 days i'm trying to create an image data from an idvd 5.0.1 project. i've choose "save as image" and everything is working fine: all menu's, all imageshows, all video's and audio-files are rendered as well. when it comes at the end to the point "burn" there comes the colored ball and NOTHING happens any more!!! it is a very complex project with 2 videofiles included (one of them is sended directly from imovie with (send item to idvd, the other one is saved as an qt-dv-file from imove and imported to idvd) and 4 image slideshows from iphoto.
doe's anyone of you have an answer to that problem??? i'm really getting crazy because i'm trying it since friday morning :-(((
thankful for all answers and greetungs from germany,
    marcus.

    Marcus,
I had the exact same problem a couple of weeks ago, when trying to create a disc image. Everything rendered, but when it reached the "burn" stage, it just stopped and I had to force quit in order to get out of iDVD. The problem was in how I had "named" my disc image. I had included a slash (/) in its name. I renamed it, taking out the slash and was then able to successfully create a disc image.

  • Failsafe method to create NetInstall image of pre-configured MacOSX

    Hi All
I am trying to create NetInstall image of a pre-configured MacOSX install(mid-2011 mac mini) in this case.  Here is my workflow:
    1.  Setup base OSX Mountain lion
    2.  Do all updates and configure System Preferences and Finder Preferences as desired
    3.  Install all desired software to be packaged with the system
    4.  Boot into target mode and then use a second mac mini running Casper Composer to create a .dmg of the OS.
    5.  Copy the finished .dmg to ML Server
    6.  Try to use System Image utility to create a NetInstall image that other mac minis can then use as base install
I havent had any success so far creating a valid .nbi folder I can use(and that works) for re-deployment unless I use Casper Admin and Casper Imaging to manage this.  The reason I am trying to get away from using them is that the differnece between buying a $70 Casper Composer(or using the free Disk Utility) and buying the full Casper Suite is considerable.  Also, my understanding of System Image Utility is that:
    1. It should be possible to build a customised image of OSX from base with packages and coonfiguration added but it doesnt seem to work
    2. NetInstall is the only viable option for what we want to do as NetBoot presumes you will boot off the image each time you start up(which is not what we want - we want the ability to clone systems and from bare metal if necessary) and NetRestore flatly doesnt seem to work from .dmgs.
Here is what I have found:
    a) I can create NetInstall images from a mounted downloaded Apple-provided OSX Installer that work but as soon as I put customisations in them, the customisations fail.
    b) By default NetInstall is greyed out when you mount the dmg and use it as a source in System image utility.  Suggestions online are to change the Source to use a New variable and then point it back at the same location.  NetInstall is then available.  If you try to create a .nbi from this, you get an error saying that there isnt enough space on the target drive - the uncompressed dmg is about 7GB max and there is a spare 60-70Gb free on the drive I am trying to create the image on.
    c) I have tried manually creating the .nbi folder but the instructions I found at http://support.apple.com/kb/TA21133 for doing this are outdated as they apply to ppc firmware and although I suspect the technique will still work, I cant work out which elements of the i386 folder I need to retain/move.  Copying the i386 folder from another working Netinstall folder doesnt help.
    d) I found some links suggesting that NetInstall only worked when the OSX versions were identical so I tried to run the System Image Utility on the Mac where the dmg was created.  Here I get two errors:
         i) If I just run the NetInstall using the default source, it errors saying an unknown error has occurred and get the following in the log:
    Workflow Started (2013-08-21 11:39:45 +0100)

ii) If I change the source to the .dmg file and unmount it quickly to avoid any file locks, the installer goes further and seems to almost finish but then gives the following error(just appending the final bits):

Anyone have any idea how I can get around these issues?

First, let's define the various image types...
    NetInstall:
A network based image which, when booted into, presents the user with a Mac OS installer. Functionality is effectively the same as running the Install Mac OS X application locally on a machine.
    NetRestore:
A network based image which, when booted into, uses Apple Software Restore to replace the contents of a volume with a previously imaged volume.
    NetBoot:
A network based image which, when booted into, acts just like a locally booted hard drive, except no changes are written to the disk. Each time the client boots into the NetBoot volume, the system is "reset" to the original state.
As defined by your workflow, you are trying to create NetRestore images.
As piperspace has noted, you need to start with the latest OS Install application. Starting with an older OS which has been updated to the latest will not work.
Creating NetRestore images from other disk images doesn't work because you need to have the Recovery Partition available. As both chicster and piperspace have noted, the way to do this is to image the volume directly.
Many preferences are "ByHost", which means that they are keyed to the UUID of the machine they are set on. To make those settings transfer to the new machines, you may need to use the "Apply System Configuration Settings" action and check the "Change ByHost preferences to match..." option.

  • [SOLVED] How to Create an Image from UTF8 Text via Command-line

As the title points out, I'm trying to create an image from unicode text via command line. I tried...
    convert -pointsize 48 -size 400 caption:测试用 text.png
But that results in question marks for the Chinese characters. So searching around online I discovered that I needed to specify a font which could display the characters. The characters show up just fine in Firefox, KDE, Kate, Terminal, etc so I know I have a font which can render them. I thought it might be DejaVu but this also resulted in question marks...
    convert -font /usr/share/fonts/TTF/DejaVuSerif.ttf -pointsize 48 -size 400 caption:测试用 text.png
    Any ideas?
    Last edited by tony5429 (2011-01-31 23:17:41)

DejaVu doesn't contain those Chinese glyphs at all, so please don't blame ImageMagick for not rendering them.
So, Firefox, Kate, Terminal and the others you stated to use DejaVu, if encounter these characters, fall back to some other fonts to render them. These fonts are, however, not vector, but bitmap fonts. (This can be seen if you increase text size (Ctrl++ in Firefox): the Chinese characters don't change, they remain of their inherent size.)
Actually, e.g. /usr/share/fonts/misc/18x18ko.pcf.gz definitely contains the three example characters, so the mentioned apps may use this font as fall back.
Apparently ImageMagick doesn't handle bitmap fonts (I'm not sure), so you won't be able to hit your original target. Anyway, since you tried to parse "-pointsize 48", you wouldn't be satisfied with the font size.
Your only choice seems to be using the above mentioned CJK-approved TTFs.
