Trying to install new font using Pages w/my IPad. The program IDo keeps trying to open it. Any suggestions?
Am pretty new at this, any suggestions would be most appreciated..
You cannot install any fonts in any app on the iPad.

My iPhone 4 microphone that handles standard voice/sound cannot pick-up sound unless the speakerphone, or a headset is used to make/receive calls the other end caller cannot hear me. Any Suggestions? This seems to be common on forums. Thank You
Same issue on my wife's iPhone 4S. I suspect it is related to the recent 6.1.2 iOS update (Note: I have a 3S and the update did not cause any issues).
I've tested both bottom and top mics on the 4S using video recorder and both mics work fine. Speakerphone and headset during calls also work fine. The issue is only related to the bottom mic while making calls. I can hear the caller but the caller cannot hear me. If I hold the mic very close to my mouth, the caller can hear a very low level signal.
The problem appears to be software related, not hardware. -

How to install font in a system using java, provided i know the font file's address. Is there any specific class/method available for this purpose? Copying the file to windows/font directory will work for windows, but I think it wont be generic to all operating system. So is there anyway to install a font using code?
I also want to know how to make the font available only until my application window is open, It must be available to all other external applications like photoshop, word etc., When I close my window it must un-install automatically or be made not available to other applications. Any suggestions? Please do help! Thanks in advance...I have already tried the above, But the font created using input stream is available only to my application* and is not viewable in photoshop.*. I realize this. Like I said, I know of no method that will register/deregister the font with the system. You'll have to create your own method that takes the operating system into account.

Windows XPYou'll need the standard font directory for each system. I think all the window ones are C:\Windows\Font\ . Each OS probably has its own little quark (like having several font directories or throwing different security exceptions). Undoubtly it's going to require some research and a bit of trial and error. You can probably work some magic with Runtime.exec(...) as well.
The alternative would be to google for some libraries that offer similar functionality, or promt the user for the system's font directory and save the location of the directory in a file somewhere for future use (so the user dosen't have to specify the font directory everytime he/she starts up the application). -

I have installed a new font in my computer, which I am able to see from word or from my old version of pages, but not from the new pages that comes with OS X mavericks. Anybody knows anything about it? Now that I've opened my document in pages 5.0 I cannot open it again with the old one 4.3, so I am stucked with no option to use the font I need... Any ideas?

Is there anyway to find a new font on Pages for iPad? The letters are hard like a rock when you use foreign languages like Thai. The fonts on device do not support foreign language.

I want to add a new font to page. How do I do that?
Download new fonts from the Internet (e.g. 1001fonts.com), and then open the file once downloaded. This will launch the application FontBook. It will ask "Install the font?" Click "OK", and you will be able to use the new font in Pages, TextEdit or other word processors. (You may have to re-start the application for it to recognize it.)
Bonus info: pressing command–t in many applications opens you computer's font control panel. -

I realized that it was unavailable because I cound not see "Install New Font" in "Window".
Is there a good way to solve this problem?In Mac OS X, double-clicking on a font file (i.e PostScript, Font Suitcase etc.) should launch the Font Book application, that window will have a Install Font button. You may have to Quit PrP and re-open for font to be available.

Tried to remove Symantec End Point software by dropping it in the trash and then emptied trash, of course now when I try and install newer version it tells me to uninstall the older version I can not access now. Any solutions?
You usually have to use the program's uninstaller utility for such things as Symantec. Read this:

Ive looked over the wiki page regarding installing new fonts and am finding it a bit confusing. The wiki suggests creating a package and lists provides and example but I am still unsure how exactly to use it.

Tried to check on updates for CS6 64 bit - Received message saying application manager may be damaged - download and install new copy - when I try this I receive message ERROR 404 I have a PC - any help would be gratefully received - thanks - William

.sit is an stuffit archive. You need to unpack that before you actually have a font file to put anywhere.
