Trying to set up my sons Ipad and it keeps telling me that we do not meet min age requirements, I used my birthday

Just got my son an Ipad mini for Christmas and I am setting it up. I wanted him to have his own apple account so I tried to set it up that way. When it asked for the Birthday I used my year as he would not be old enough. It is telling me that I do not meet age requirements. Trust me I am over 13 for a long time!!! Can someone please help!!!!

Either wait it out or contact Asurion and complain. They sent you a used phone as JB said above. There is nothing anyone here or at Apple can do about it.

I guess it has been a year since I last purchased something on I-tunes and my account is saying that they couldn't authorize my card for some of my purchases. I have also added an I-tunes gift card and that isn't clearing up the money that I owe. It is showing that I have a $25 credit for that. How do I fix this, I have been trying for days and all I have got from the e-mail tech support is that its my credit card issuer that is causing the problem. Thats not correct because one of the credit cards that I am trying to use, is a prepaid Visa gift card. I know that these work on I-tunes because I have used them before in the past. I am getting very frustrated with this whole process, I just want to clear up my account and buy some new music!! HELP!!

Did you try to rename the file cert8.db (cert8.db.sav) in the profile folder and maybe secmode.db as well?

If those email addresses are already in use somewhere else, you can get new email addresses for your kids. You can do this via your ISP, or by one of the free email services such as hotmail, yahoo, or gmail.

If your son is under 13, then you will need to set up an account for yourself and allow him to use it.

In order to use your Apple ID to create an iCloud account, the primary email address associated with the ID must first be verified. To do this, Apple will send a verification email to your account and you must respond to the email by clicking the Verify Now link. Make sure you are check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox. If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

Thanks, but I've done that several times & it still says I need administraive privileges. I had itunes installed with no problems until I did the latest update. After that it just disappeared, so I tried reinstalling. Now I can't sync my phone. This is so frustrating!
