The "device may need service" means a hardware problem. In that case make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

My problem, in part, is that I have 2 iphones. I transferred one to another computer that now syncs with iCloud. The other phone I was updating today on my old computer. Ever since the 6.0.2 update - every single day there's been something new going horribly wrong. Many apps, particularly games, are free for the base game but charge for additional features such as levels, "coins" and other such add-ons. I tried every obvious solution to this problem with different types of disc (-R; +R; -RW and +RW) and the problem persisted. Then I read about removing a hyphen in picture filenames. I renamed all the images and bingo there were no further problems. Apple should have solved this by now. This error code has been reported for several years and my MacBook Pro is quite new. Anyway, I hope this helps. It does work.

This has been fixed. Answer is that I needed to go to "Apple Software Update" and repair it. (From my Control Panel).

Every time that I try to use Firefox 4, Firefox 3 pops up on the Dock and tries to start up. I get the error message "A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time." I click OK and the message goes away. Then it happens again. And again. It doesn't stop until I quit Firefox 4. I've tried creating a new profile (and deleting my old one) and deleting the .parentlock and the profile.ini file, but nothing works. Help me please!
