Trying to use if statement !

Question

I am trying to set an if statement that restricts a customers PhoneNumber to either 8 or 10 digits.
I keep getting this error: ')'
This is my code
if (aPhoneNumberTemp()length()==8||aPhoneNumberTemp()length()==10)
return true;
return false;
Can anyone help me?

I try to never write code after a return. In this case it probably doesn't matter, but in general, expressions that follow return are not debuggable, whether you use a debugger or just System.out.println().
Foo foo = big + long - expression / here;
// breakpoint or System.out.println() here
return foo;
