Did you copy your actual iTunes content from your computer before reinstalling iTunes, or did you just copy your iTunes library which only contains the pointers to your songs / books locations ?
You might, depending upon your country and if they are still in your country's store, be able to redownload your music purchases and your ibooks via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage - you will need to delete the entries from your library (where you are getting the 'unable to locate' messages) before they will potentially show with the cloud icon against them in Purchased for redownloading.
Or copy them from your backup of your downloads/library and add them to your iTunes library via File > Add To Library

  • I bought a movie off of iTunes, but it will not play.  I click on it and the movie's menu shows up, but it will not allow me to select the "play" option.

After purchasing a movie from iTunes, I clicked on the film and it brought me to the movie's DVD menu.  However, it will not allow me to select it to play.  I can select the "chapters" option, but I cannot select any of the chapters.  Essentially, it is stuck on the menu.

  • Hello, I have a Dutch bought iMac but live in Sweden my ID will not allow me to shop in Itunes  and this confuses me, my iTunes is in Dutch, but my Swedish Itunes ID and Apple ID does not work in the Dutch store...only thing I wnat to do is to be able to

    Hello everybody,
I bought my iMac in Holland in 2009 but I live in Sweden, I made an Apple id here and it works for the Apple Store, but it doesn't work with Itunes as I have my itunes in Dutch of course and am right away transferred to the Swedish iTunes and am told I can't buy music because I live in Sweden and am directed to itunes sweden on top of that I am not such a Swedish speaking or reading person and now I am stuck:(, I can't do anything with music and such, does anyone of you out there know how to solve this problem?
It's a worldwide problem because as soon as a site knows your ipaddress it right away transfers you to the site in the country you live in, idiotic to my view, we have open borders, many people living in countries that they were not born in, many prefering to have their computers in their native language and then meet problems!
    Have a nice day/evening all:)
    greetings from

"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store. You can use the iTunes Store in all countries of which you’re a resident, but you’ll either need a separate iTunes Store account for each one, or you’ll need to continually be switching your billing information on your single account. Generally, it’s simpler just to set up an alternative account for these situations."

  • I just bought some TV shows on iTunes and it will not transfer to my iPod. It says it's not authorized, I followed the directions to authorize my computer (it was already authorized) and still can't get them onto my iPod. Help?

I have a 160 G iPod classic and there is plenty of room on it, I double checked that it is set to sync TV shows and movies, everything I can think of. These shows will not sync and will not drag and drop into my iPod. I just bought the shows, so I don't see how it could be an issue with it being old content or DRM or anything. Any help is most appreciated!

Hi, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Which exact iBook model is it?
You can choose from this list:
    http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/ibook/index-ibook.html
Which version of the operating system is it running now? (It is impossible for an iBook G4 to run Mac OS X 10.0.)
    How much RAM is installed?
What kind of optical drive does it have? (CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD, Combo, or SuperDrive?)

My iPad is disabled and I can not input my passcode.  what do i need to do?  I tried to connect to iTunes, but it will not allow me to connect via compute USB as I cannot input my passcode for the iPad.

You may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 - you should then be able to reset the iPad and restore/re-sync your content to it

  • Itunes will not allow me to change the installation drive...

I have a PC with a hard drive that previously was partitioned into C: and D: segments. I have since removed the D: partition. itunes thinks it is still installed on the D: segment and keeps trying to perform downloaded updates there. My current D: drive is now a DVD ROM. When trying to install itunes updates, it will not allow me to change the destination. When I try to change it, I get the message "The volume D: is currently unavailable. Please select another." Then it gives me the "Finish" screen and doesn't allow me the option of changing the drive. SO... I tried uninstalling itunes. itunes will not allow me to uninstall it either. Please help.

Even though you're getting a slightly different error message, I'd try the following user tip:
    "Invalid drive X:\" install errors

When you buy an iPhone in the U.S. it's locked to that country with the carrier you bought it for.
If you bought the device unlocked in the U.S. it's unlocked, you can use it on any carrier. Even one's outside the country.
If you want to do a repair on a device you bought in the U.S. and your using it in another country, you must send it back to the U.S. Why? That's where you bought it from.
AppleCare Protection Plans and AppleCare Limited Warranties are registered to your hardware.
    Your hardware is your iPhone.
Wherever hardware that was bought then that's the country it was designed to be used in and that's where it was manufactured.
Apple is very localized - if you call U.S. tech support, you'll speak to somone in your country.
So, what does all this mean?
In order to do a repair, you need to send it back to the country you got it from.
And we're all customers like you. We understand that you're upset, but Apple isn't gonna bend the rules to one individual.
Policy is policy. Get over it.

Might have luck with that here >  Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Previous purchases may be unavailable if they have been refunded or are no longer on the iTunes Store.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID that was used for the original purchases.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can only wipe your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely.

  • Retrieving bought music from the apple store to iTunes

Does anybody know how to retrieve bought music from the apple store into your iTunes? I reinstalled iTunes and I can't seem to retrieve my music I bought from the store. Can anyone help?

When you reinstalled, did you erase the entire drive? If not, your music should still be in the iTunes folder in your Documents -> Music folder. Take a look there. If it's there, you can get it back into the iTunes library listing by using the Add to Library command and selecting the iTunes Music folder.
    Hope this helps.
