Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Audiobooks are not part of icloud.
They will only be where you put them. They should be on your computer. Sync them to the new device.

There's a bug in iPhoto 9.5.1 and Mavericks that affects slideshows played directly from an album. The slideshow will not play correctly if the photos have been sorted manually. Any other type of sort, date, rating, keyword or title, will play correctly.
If you need that manual sort of pictures for your slideshow create the slideshow in iPhoto's slideshow mode.

Just purchased a new IPAD 2 Retina, first MAC computer and have an old IPOD Touch. Trying to sync all the accounts (2 different accounts) to one account.

I have 2 accounts in Itunes. My old one and new one. I just purchased my first MAC book pro and my 2nd Ipad (Retina). I have an old IPOD Touch and have different stuff on each device. I am trying to sync without having to ERASE and REPLACE to sync. Any ideas?

If you were syncing your iPod touch to the old computer, use Migration Assistant to get all your user data to the new computer.
Then it will sync fine (since you will be using the same library).

I Just purchased a NOS ipod 5.5 brand new in factory sealed packaging from an apple dealer. I charged the unit overnight but the battery will not hold a charge. I read the Apple warranty and expect Apple to honor the warranty to the original end user purchaser (me). however I do not want to give up this iPod for a newer model because I love the sound from the Wolfson board. I feel your angst, especially, knowing that Apple has become the most profitable company in the world, by selling us products that breaks down when the warranty run out, and crap service staff, who doesn't know anything about the iPod Classic, except offer to sell us refurbished iPod classic.
You can get the Battery replaced at 3rd Party store for less.
BTW, (most contributors might not agree with me) if you recharged your iPod everyday, it will be dead just 2 months after the warranty expires. My logic, the iPod battery will last for about 400 recharge cycles according to Apple Specs listed below
Charge Cycles
A properly maintained iPod battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 400 full charge and discharge cycles
So if your lifestyle is plugin in to car Audio dock, while driving, and plug in to home stereo while home, then it is 2-3 charge cycles per day.
But then you cant do anything about it, just switch to another media player.

We just added a new iPad Air to our family of 4 apple devices and I can not get it to join the automatic Photo Share with the other 3 devices. What have I overlooked in set up?

I added an iPad Air to our family of Apple devices a few weeks back and can not get it to participate in the auto Photo Share with the other 3 devices. My Mac, iPhone and first generation iPad share but the new device does not. ITunes sees all 4 devices but I can not get the new iPad and other 3 to share.

Settings > iCloud > Photos > On. Photo stream isn't anything to do wither iTunes.
