TS3274 I recently lost all my notes and my ipad will no longer allow me to connect to my yahoo email via the Mail app. Is there anything i can do?

I also think it may have to do with the fact that i dropped it...
When i try to connect to my yahoo email via the Mail thingy, it will say "user name or password for apple.imap.mail.yahoo.com is incorrect even though my yahoo password and user name is correct. I know because if i were to het my username or password wrong, it would tell me "user name or password for *insert my email* is incorrect".

This is copied from your first post. Am I reading this wrong? Aren't you saying that you are getting a message that the username and password are incorrect? That's why I asked another the word apple in the name. I don't use Yahoo mail that may in fact be correct but I'm just checking,
IF you are getting a message that the username and password are incorrect.....
Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

Since Monday 3/16/2015 I have been unable to access my Yahoo email from the Mail Center. I have deleted, powered the phone down, re-added the account. I have read numerous past post/questions from other users. HELP! When I was trying to delete the emails in my inbox for the Mail app - I followed THESE directions. It did in fact clear my inbox for the Mail app. But then I went to log on to my Outlook account and EVERY SINGLE EMAIL was gone. And not in the Deleted box. Just gone. Here are the directions I followed that screwed everything up. Please help.
Top menu bar, Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Mailbox Behaviors.
Uncheck "Store deleted messages on the server".
At the drop list for "Permanently erase deleted messages when", choose "Quitting Mail".
Next...
Top menu bar, Mail > Preferences > General.
At "When searching all mailboxes, include results from", uncheck "Trash".
Select All = command A

i found out my prob!
here is what you do.
go to the "system preferences" on your dock.
click "software updates".
click "installed software"
if it shows something about a recent update about "EFI UPDATE, FIRMWARE, THUNDERBOLT" or anything like that, exit out of it.
go to mail.
click "mail" at the top.
click "preferences...".
find the account you are having trouble with, once you do, make sure its highlighted, then click the "-" at the bottom of the window (this will only effect that mail account, it will not effect your ical weather or not its synced thought that email account)
hit the "+" (right next to the "-") and add your accout back!

The Pages password protects the contents of the document. If there were a Finder password, it would protect what you might think of as the "file wrapper" ... the stuff around the file content.
Glad it's not vital. I have to say I only pasword protect those Pages documents that are, in fact, vital.

I tried downloading “Awesome camera”. Seems like a nice App. The front/back switch does not work within that App.
Switching to back camera in the normal Camera App brings up a blurred picture of what the back camera is seeing and freezes the app. Force quitting Camera App does not bring it back to live until after a long time. Problem still persists.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

3rd party email addresses have to be deleted on every synmced mac product, although I have 1and1.co.uk and my imac updatetes the mails in that account from mac mail.
Yahoo etc is a 2 step deleting process but good to get your emails pushed when on the go.

Like lllaass said, bring it back to them. But, never ever, bring an iOS device to anyone for repairs except Apple. That voids your warrenty.

I deleted my old Email account because I wanted to create a new one, and I did. However, when ever I send an Email from the Mail app on my laptop it says the Email was sent from my old Email and I just can not get rid of it.

I deleted my old Email and only used my new Email to set up the Mail app on my laptop. And the old Email is completely dead, hotmail.com says the Email no longer excists when I try to sign back in to it however my Emails remain saying 'Sent from Jordan [*old Email*].

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact AppleCare(or Apple ID Support), upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.

I'll guess that you're upgrading from Snow Leopard? You should be able to start using your original install dvd by inserting the disc and restarting while holding the C key. Run Disk Utility from your install disc and try to repair the drive. Then try the upgrade again.

My 3 kids have itouches, i have an iphone 4 and an ipad. i just lost all my notes on my ipad and iphone. i synced both to my mac but i can't find them anywhere...advice?

i synced both to my mac to see if they would come back and they do not. i looked at other forums and most of the people that had success getting them back used gmail. I do not. My email is verizon. The only notes that were on there before the sync were 2 short notes that look like they could have been from one of my kids (although they all deny they belong to them of course). now after the sync there are 4 notes all from december or this past sunday but the other 20 or so notes are nowhere to be seen. I suppose part of the problem could be that i really don't understand the icloud. I am really struggling to figure out how to use it. the other day i synced my ipad (because i usually enter all my calendar dates on there and they were not syncing to my iphone via the icloud and now i have duplicates of a bunch of calendar events. i am getting so frustrated. Any advice welcome. Thanks.

True by my description it would seem I sent them nowhere, but ten minutes later after turning on and off Contacts in the Cloud I got most of them.
I have the most recent one I added about 4 days ago but I'm missing some here and there.
I logged in with my Apple ID and it's the only one I've ever used.
Still a little weird.
I have synced my contacts with iTunes but not very recently.
I now have learned to do it often!
As far as I can tell there's no rhyme or reason for my missing contacts.
It's odd I would have most, but not all. So I must have uploaded something since I have some of my recent adds that were after my last sync with iTunes.

The complaints I've heard most are due to the fact that the iPhone will not let you use the sync system to read and compose text messages, etc. I vaguely recall somthing about address books not syncing properly, but I've never heard of the sync system wiping the address book on the phone. It shouldn't be possible as the iPhone only supports PBAP for contact syncing, which is one way.
In any event, if the contacts were not synced to something and have been lost, there is no way to recover them, no matter what it was that wiped them.

Yes, there are two utilities that I use to perform this task, SuperCrazyAwesome’s iPhone Backup Extractor which is a free utility, and addPod’s Juice Phone, also free. Neither solution will work if you have encrypted your backup files. Both allow you to access the backed up data as if the iPhone was connected to your Mac.
