TS3992 Why am I getting a message on my Ipad 3 that tells me to back it up to icloud but then freezes so I can't even turn it off?

Having trouble with my ipad 3 and backing it up to icloud. It has frozen with the screen saying icloud Backup hasn't happened in 6 weeks. But, it's frozen now and can't even shut it down!

Reset it by holding the Power and Home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then releasing.

Force iPad into Recovery Mode Step by Step
1. Hold Sleep/Wake button down and slide to turn off iPad

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer

IPad started acting up, so I reset and now all I get is the apple icon and I can't even turn it off screen frozen and has been for about 18 hours

iPad started acting up, would not open books, screens come up that I never touched etc. so I did a reset, the apple icon showed up and has been on now for about 18 hours I can't even turn it off I plugged in in over night but still screen frozen? Any suggestions?

There are no carrier supported texting plans for Ipads.
Imessage uses Apple servers and only supports ios devices.

HT6114 Why has the 10.9.2 update killed my mac it loads up but then freezes trying to do anything!!!!!

Well after doing the 10.9.2 update last night my mac is now a piece of scrap. I can't get anything off it. It loads then freezes on trying to do anything can't even turn it off properly and was fine before!!!!

That's what I wanted to know. If it works in safe mode, which is what I asked, you have third-party software that is causing your problems. However, it doesn't look like it is fully defeated in safe mode, or something is damaged in the OS.
Uninstall everything you have the installs a startup item, launch daemon, or launch agent, or extension. If all works ok, install them one at a time. When it crashes, you've found the culprit.
EDIT: You may need to erase the drive and reinstall. You could likely restore your user data from your backup, but don't reinstall any utilities until you are ready to troubleshoot each one. Don't ever install anything that purports to clean, optimize, speed up, protect, or otherwise maintain your Mac. Those are the things that tend to cause the most problems.

Before trying the update again, use Microsoft's Fix it solution at http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall. Use it to uninstall iTunes and Quicktime. It bypasses this not uncommon problem. When the solution finishes, the selected program will be uninstalled. It can take several minutes and I have seen as much as half an hour.
After iTunes & Quicktime are uninstalled, try the update again.
