The following message appears when I try to turn on the iPad..."Not enough storage..this iPad cannot be backed up because there is not enough iCloud storage available. You can manage your storage in settings." When I tap Close or Settings nothing happens
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Hold Sleep and Home buttons until the iPad restarts, so the message won't appear after restarting it -
We are novice users of an Ipad. Have recently taken many video clips at a wedding. Ipad now displays message "Not enough storage this Ipad cannot be backed up because there is not enough Icloud storage available etc" Neither option "close" or "settings" will respond and the screen quickly goes blank. Any help would be welcome. Bob.
A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off button at the same time for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. Release both buttons and await restart.

i have a message that says "not enough storage space this ipad cannot be backed up because there is not enough cloud storage. The message will not close so I cannot use the ipad.
Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I keep getting an error message that reads: Not enough storage This iphone cannot be backed up because there is not enough icloud storage available. What does this mean? How do I fix it?
Try doing a hard reset:
Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
After that: go to Settings - iCloud - Storage and backup - turn off the iCloud backup
and backup with iTunes from now on

Not enough Storage This iPad cannot be backed up because there is no enough iCloud
Hi, guys, I have 5 iPads are under the same Apple ID. One of 5 iPads freezes, it says "Not Enough Storage, this iPad cannot be backed up because there is not enough iCloud storage availabe. You can manage your storage in Settings." But acutually, nothing works, I even cannot turn off the iPad. I connect the iPad with the iTunese in my MacBook. But it doesn't help except asking me to restore the iPad. There are some students' work in the iPad and I don't want to earse any these work. Anyone can have some idea about how to solve the prolem, I'll appreciate it. Thanks ,Ming

I do get the "This iPhone cannot be backed up because there is not enough iCloud storage available" message since a couple of days. I do have 3 backups for iOS devices totaling 3 GB + Mail w/ 2 GB - now what? I vaguely remember having reserved part of the 50 GB for backups under the old .me account - could that still be in place? Thx for any help

You have to delete things from your iCloud account. Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage and Backup > Manage Storage, select the app from what you want to delete data, and delete the things you want. Another possibility you have is to purchase more storage.
As you are referring to "the old .me account", it looks like you had that storage with an older Apple ID, so you can't use this storage with the new Apple ID you are using with iCloud
