TS4124 "This item is not eligible for iCloud" - but it's a song I bought from iTunes. What do I have to do to get it to be 'eligible'?

Any ideas? If it's a matter of something that was bought with an old apple ID, how to tell apple the two IDs belong to the same person?

When I try to add a song ti iTunes match it said (This item is not eligible for iCloud.)Why??

Sorry, Maybe I didn't explain that correctly.
The song has to be available to purchase in the iTunes Store in order for it to be used in Match.
So if you purchased a song from another source or imported it from a CD it  sould show up in Match!
however if say you purchased or imported a rare mix CD, that would not show up.
that is the first step to check anyway.

Sorry, I meant the letters look "faded" not faed.

  • My ipod touch now skips songs I bought from itunes (only the ones from 2013 to now) and won't play them. How do I fix this?

Hey folks! My iPod Touch now skips songs I bought from iTunes (but only the songs I have purchased since 2013) and won't play them. What do I do?

First try deleting the songs and redownloading them
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    Next
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • This item was not added to iCloud because an error occurred.

Ok. So I received this error on a song in my iTunes library.. Hmm. I was able to solve this by running "update"  iTunes Match.

I've just run into this problem after finally completing the looooooong upload of all of my "unknown" tracks. I have 70 such '!' tracks, very annoying.
I'm not onboard with the proposed "convert MP3 to MP3" solution for two reasons:
    1. If I'm not mistaken, doing this will reduce the quality of those tracks. After all, you're converting a lossy file to another lossy file, so even if your new file is 320 kbps, you're inherently losing *some* degree of sound quality.
    2. Many of these tracks are already in various playlists, so unless I want to remove all of them from those lists, I have to individually re-add the newly converted tracks to every list. There's an hour of my life that I'll never get back.
I'm all for a seamless work-around, but this ain't it. Fingers crossed that an iTunes update with more inclusive importing is on the way.

  • Device not supported your apple id is valid but this iphone is not qualified for icloud

I keep getting this message when I try to connect to i-cloud on my iPhone4

I just bought my iPhone from the apple store and I seen the iOS 6 Beta 4 was available and I got that using my dev udid but when it updated I couldn't sign into iCloud "Your apple id is valid but your device is not supported" why does this happen!!

  • This item was not added to icloud because an error occured

I started seeing an error cloud next to many of my songs in iTunes just today. Of several thousand songs, this now affects about two-thirds my library. Funny that this appeared the same day that I paid to have my iTunes Match account renewed for year three.
I've seen some fixes where you convert all of these to mp3 files, then back to ACC and throw away the duplicates. That might take weeks.

Try posting in the iTunes Match forum, you'll probably find more knowledgeable folks there.

What should I do ? also if it does come on I slide the lock bar and it freezes, eventually turning off.

Did you read this part at the very end of the article about restoring the iPad?
    Additional Information
If your device is continually restarting, not responding, or showing the Apple logo with no progress bar or a stopped progress bar, place the device into recovery mode and try restoring again.
Click on the link, read that article and see if that will work for you.

  • I just upgraded to os 10.9.5. When I try to open iPhoto, I am told that the version I have(9.3), is not compatible with the os. But it came with it when I upgraded. What do I have to do to get an iPhoto that works with 10.9.5? TIA

I just upgraded to os 10.9.5 on my 15 " macbook pro from os 10.7.5. When I try to open iPhoto, I get the message that it is not compatible with the os. How can that be??? It came with the upgrade. It says the version of iPhoto is 9.3. How do I get an iPhoto that works with os 10.9.5? TIA

This screenshot shows which previous versions of iPhoto are compatible with Mavericks.  It also indicates which versions qualify for a free upgradeto iPhoto 9.5.1 and which require a purchase:
Note 1:  every day more users are reporting problems with iPhoto 8.1.2 so I've included it in the non compatible category.
Note 2:  If your previous version of iPhoto was iPhoto 7 (08) or earlier you'll need to download and run the iPhoto Library Upgrader 1.1 application on the library before opening it with iPhoto 9.5.1

  • No accessory = "This accessory is not optimized for this iPhone..."

Anyone else having the same message pop up repeatedly?
Immediately after activating my phone and restoring my data, this message starts popping up for no reason I can identify.
No audio from iTunes, video files, or applications coming from the bottom speakers (only available via headphones).
Ringtone, alarms, and regular speakerphone work without any problem.
Never plugged into an accessory device and bluetooth has remained off since delivery...
It's madness...or perhaps a spooky ghost device haunting my new iPhone 4...

I am getting the message with my 2009 Honda CR-V when I plug it in to the usb. So annoying. I upgraded my iPhone 3g two days ago.
Yesterday I called Honda USA and was told that the firmware will need to be updated in my car. They, however, could not tell me when that would be happening, only that it might take some months. I am supposed to harass my local Honda dealer regularly (meaning, call them every week or so) because they will know when they'll get it in.
So I guess my old iPod is going to be put back into service. It plays nice with my Honda...

  • When I try to set up my phone it says this device is not eligible for free iCloud account

When I try to set up my phone it says this device is not eligible for free iCloud account

Import them to your computer as discussed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083, then either delete them from your phone or exclude the camera roll from your iCloud backup by going to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your phone under Backups, then turn Camera Roll to Off under Backup Options.
Also check Settings>General>Usage to see how much availble space is on your phone.  If you have to delete apps in order to take photos, you may be out of space on your phone.  If so, you need to delete something in order to create more space.

  • Problem updating to iphoto 9.6 after upgrading to Yoesmite  I am getting the following message when I try top date iPhoto This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or canc

problem updating to iphoto 9.6 after upgrading to Yoesmite  I am getting the following message when I try top date iPhoto This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or canc

"This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled." ?
This error message will appear erraneously, if you skipped the update to Mavericks and iPhoto 9.5.1 and went straight from an earlier MacOS X version to Yosemite, without first updating to iPhoto 9.5.1 and associating iPhoto to your AppleID.
Try first to buy iPhoto with your AppleID instead of updating. Delete iPhoto from Applications, but don't empty the Trash, then go to the main page of the App Store and search for iPhoto. If you are lucky, it will show as free and you can buy it directly.
If iPhoto  is not showing as free, there is no help but contacting the App Store Support: Ask for a redemption code. You will need to provide a prove of purchase for your mac with iPhoto preinstalled.

    Hello, osbybass.
Thank you for the question.  This alert can mean that iTunes is recognizing applications on the iPad purchased by another Apple ID.  If anyone in your household has an Apple ID, try authorizing the computer with their Apple ID and attempt to sync.  If you are still experiencing issues, go through the troubleshooting steps in the attached article.
