TS5168 Upgraded to OS X 10.9.1 and that has stopped me using iphoto 'yopu can't use this version ofv the application with this version of OS X Yet there was no warning when selecting the upgrade and no guidance offered apple?
No warning when downloading OS X 10.9.1 re the operating system disabling the iphoto programme! Result I now cannot access the photo's has any one else had this and found a solution. eg how to upgrade i photo?
Seem remiss of apple not to warn/ offer a solutio.
I have a time vault from Mac but reluctant to open in case I destroy records!

If you are the original owner of the phone and know the Apple ID and password that were used to activate it originally, and if you have an existing backup to restore from, you can force it into recovery mode (which will completely erase it) and restore it as explained here: If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. This I have seen before...
It can be that the SMTP relay server is configured to only allow certain IP ranges or addresses.
It can be that the firewall on the SP server does not allow for SMTP traffic (normally 25, for example for Exchange).
It can be that there is an Antivirus on the SP server(Client AV) that prohobits the Timer service to send email from this server. I have seen MacAfee do this. Needed an policy change.
If, its the builtin SMTP service you are using, check this link:

We get this error when we try to check the properties of an analysis server using SQL Server Management studio(right click the instance name
and check properties). We have resolved this issue twice by Stopping the SQL Server analysis service,removing db folders from Analysis Server Data folder and starting the services back on. The db folder that we removed was advised by the BI team.
The SQL Server Analysis Server is 2012 SP1Hi RB_ORIPW,

If I understanding correctly, you encounter the error randomly, now what you want it that avoid this issue completely, other than stop the services, detele the db filder and restart the services, right?
The error might be caused by that the data file is corrupted. However, we cannot give you the exact reason that cause this issue. You can troubleshoot this issue by using the Windows Event logs and msmdsrv.log.
You can access Windows Event logs via "Administrative Tools" --> "Event Viewer". SSAS error messages will appear in the application log.
The msmdsrv.log file for the SSAS instance that can be found in \log folder of the instance. (C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSAS10.MSSQLSERVER\OLAP\Log)

I attached a USB external hard drive to my MacBook Air to do a Time Machine Backup. I then disconnected the drive. I now get a popup saying

The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name of IP address, check your network connection, and then try again.

Sounds more like you have a problem with your apple id. For starters go to that page click manage my apple id and singn in. If you can't sign in reset password.

I am trying to upgrade one of our SQL Server Enterprise (2008 (SP2)) to 2012. I am using the upgrade option but it gives me the following error:

This appears to be the root problem. It seems that the regional settings on this machine is messed up. 0x0C00 is an unusual LCID, they do not normally not end in two zeroes.
is there a custom culture installed on this machine?
Review the regional settings and also check the System locale. If it looks spooky, set it to Arabic - U.A.E. if this is where you are located.

Lost all photos on my iPhoto and get the ERROR WRITING TO DISK when trying to reload from Time Machine. iPhoto cannot import your photos because there was a problem writing to the volume containing your iPHOTO LIBRARY . Looking for solution.
Problems such as yours are sometimes caused by files that should belong to you but are locked or have wrong permissions. This procedure will check for such files. It makes no changes and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.
First, empty the Trash, if possible.
