Turn off dialing tones on pearl 8130

I can't seem to figure out how to turn off the tones when I'm dialing.  They come out through the speakerphone.  I tried turning the dial tone option off, but that didn't seem to do anything.  Guys at the Verizon store shrugged their shoulders.  Thanks

There is not a way to disable the tone when dialing a number. Sorry. The only workaround that I think works is to plug in a wired headset before you dial.

  • Can you turn off the tone on keypad when dialing

Is there anyway to turn off the tone when dialing on my keypad?  It must have malfunctioned for awhile and was silent, it recently came back on and it's driving me nuts.

No, other than flipping the ring/silent switch on the side of the phone to silent (red showing).  You have to remember to flip it back to hear rings and alerts.

  • Can't turn off "dial from home screen"

I want to allocate shortcut keys to apps. All of the info I've seen says that you have to turn off "dial from home screen" by clicking on the "phone" icon, then clicking on the "menu" icon, then selecting the "General options" item. Trouble is, I don't have a "General options" item - can anyone help me?

I'm in the same boat. I miss my old bb. 9310 does not have this option....

  • Bridge CS6 How to turn off auto tone adjustment for the loupe?

Adobe Bridge CS6. 'Apply auto tone adjustments' is unchecked in Camera Raw Preferences. Yet every time I click on an image in the preview panel it does a tonal adjustment before it magnifies the image detail. I am viewing bracketed images and do not want any auto tone applied at any time while previewing images. How can I turn off all auto tone adjustment for the program - including the loupe. I never had this issue in a previous version. I'm on PC. Thanks for any help!

All 4 Default Image Settings are unchecked. Checking this further I have found this is only a visual issue in Bridge Preview. I have opened the same raw file before any adjustment had taken place (w/o using the loupe magnifier) in PS CS6 - and then again opened it after using the magnifier which did an auto contrast adjust on the image. Both files are the same in PS CS6. This is only a visual issue within Bridge (Master Collection CS6) on my Win7 64 bit machine. No issue with a standalone PS CS6 version on my XP 64 bit system.
There is no auto adjustment of the image until I use the loupe (magnifier tool).
Note my previous comment as to what happens when I use it. Thanks!
I have a feeling this is a bug. I have a Photography help group on fb and posed this question to them. I had mostly no issue responses but got this from another person. I checked after reading this and it is the same issue with me - this only happens with raw files, not jpeg. Here is his comment line.
Carl, I see what you mean, I have tried several adjustments to the preferences and none seem to work. The image automatically adjusts after a brief time. There does not seem to be any way to turn off the adjustment. I'm using Bridge CS 6 on a Mac. I don't think it has anything to do with camera calibration, but it only happens when using RAW files. I tried it on JPGs and TIFFs and it did not adjust the loupe image. Wonder what Adobe has to say
So - tThanks for any thoughts! So at least it's not going to be an editing issue - but it's a pain here. I use Bridge to edit my shoots and I often shoot bracketed images. While I cull images according to the histogram, I also do visual assessment and I can't have Bridge doing it's own thing on tonal adjustment.

  • How do I turn off notification tone in SoundBooth CS5

Each time I return focus to the Soundbooth screen a very loud chord sounds, apparently built in to the program.  It makes it very annoying to work with since it is blasting loud in the earphones.
Is this some kind of error tone I'm getting or something that can be disabled?

When trying to rotate something the object tries to align with every single available element who InDesign conciders could be interesting aligning with. THATS NOT HOW WE PROS DO IT!!! We hold SHIFT when rotating stuff, and if we want to rotate stuff outside the 45° scope we use the input palette so we get exact figures.
And why (again) would InDesign have anything to do where I put my elements, let me put them where I want please dont bother. No InDesign is kind of wild here since it's trying to aligns stuff even if I disable snapping and all such stuff. It's like Gollum, "Myyy precious alignement, let me heeelp you with that"...
Turn off smart guides, View > Grids & Guides > Smart Guides or Cmd / Ctrl + U, or....  learn how to use them and make your layout faster instead of blindly continuing to do it "THE WAY WE PROS DO"!!!!

Why o why is everything so slow again? Even on a brand new i7 MBP the projects become incredibly slow when adding some stuff, if I open the same project in CS4 everything is blazin again. This especially occurs when running stuff from a network location, which by the way is a VERY common wey to work in the advertizing agency world.
For general speed issues in CS5 you could try turning off live screen display (Edit > Preferences > Interface > Option > Live Screen Drawing > Delayed), turning off live preflight and keeping the pages and links panels closed when you're not using them.

  • How do I turn off the Ipod Charging Tone?

Firstly please don't say by turning down the sound slider because if I do I can't play the music on my ipod whilst it's charging.
Right the situation is that my iPod touch is connected via usb in my car so I can play music on the move, also as a bonus my iPod is charging at the same time, but here's the problem because it is charging not only do I get the music from the iPod I also get the annoying charging tone through the speakers. I can't find a setting for this specific tone in the settings, and searches would suggest that it can't be turned off. I do hope this is not the case becasue if it is it's madness. Also if I connect via aux cable if the usb is connecting ie the iPod is charging I still get the charging tone trilling it's merry way.
How can I turn off this tone. I know I can disconnect the usb ie stop the charging but that defeats to object as I then gradually use up the power meaning on long journeys I have to either dispense with the iPod or put up with the tone. Also when I get to my destination instead of having a fully charged iPod I am already down on power.
    HELP?

Okay, well I'm still not aware of any iPod which repeats the charging tone. Have you checked in the Connector recess of your iPod to make sure there is no muck in there, or that there is no damage to the connector pins? This is because I still think that the connection between the cable, dock or whatever and the iPod is not staying "made". In other words, the connection is disconnecting and reconnecting and every time it reconnects, the beep sounds.
Can you watch the iPod's display? When charging, the battery symbol shows the lightning bolt or, when full, the plug in the battery. Does that change to the battery only just before the charging beep? If so, that suggests that the connection is being repeatedly broken and re-made. Also check the cable (just in case).
If you cannot solve this I think there are two options available to you.
    Ask any of your friends (who have an iPod Touch with the same iOS version on it) if their iPod does the same as yours; if they are aware of a setting for this and if so, how to turn it off, or;
Make an appointment at the Genius bar of your local Apple store and see if they can sort this out.
Like you, I do not see the "change with buttons" option mentioned by kartabyaa, although I only have iOS 4.2.1 on my Touch. (I don't believe the iOS version is different to mine in this respect, but if you ask someone with the same iOS version as you, that should help confirm or refute what the iPod can and should do.)

Is there a way to turn off ring tones, on shared lines on the UC520?

The only way I have found to do it is through the GUI or command line.  CCA does not support silent ringing.

  • How can I turn off the dial tone on my iPhone5?

I want to turn off the dial tone of my iPhone 5. How does this work?

    Hi,
You may not have a wireless network adapter.
If it is not in Network Adapters and you have no Device Manager errors or disabled devices under Network Adapters then that would be the case.
