TUTORIAL UPDATE : STREAMCLIP SETTING (Somewhat more precise)

For the recommended fast (vs. H264) MPEG-4 recording here are two tips:
1. Leave the quality slider at 100%
2. Go to the Limit Bitrate to box set at 256 KB/sec ( NOT MB/sec) which is just a hair under the 2.5 mbps limit.
Then you get as close to the MPEG-4 limit as possible vs. guessing if 40-50% is right or not.
BONUS TIP: you can save as a preset, all the settings - let's recap what those are:
1. Video - MPEG-4 compressor @100% quality
1 A. Limit bitrate to 256 KB/sec
2. Audio - AAC at 128 kbps
3. Size - 320 X 240 in the little pull down menu under the preset size buttons
4. Deinterlace if you like
5. Use the batch list to do a bunch at once, with the preset which you can use again and again.
BONUS TIP: (#2) - If you want to save about 20% of the file size change the frame rate from no setting, to 24 FPS. In the frame rate box. You won't see a difference.

I'm from the United States, I own CS2, I know dangerously close to nothing about what I'm doing, and I have a few stupid questions for you.
First, thanks very much for the tutorial. These kinds of step by step explanations do a world of good.
As it happens I own a PAL dvd I'm passionate about converting to an NTSC dvd. From what I've read, a first step is using Slipstream to create a quicktime movie to import to either FCP or Compressor depending on the technique employed. I did this before reading your tutorial.
First, instead of using file>open files I used file>open dvd Was this a huge mistake?
Since I was dealing with a PAL dvd, I used settings identical to the ones in your screen capture. But now I'm having regrets because I see no evidence of interlacing on the original dvd in freezeframes, which makes me wonder if I should have unchecked "interlaced scaling and reinterlace chroma"? How can I be sure whether my PAL dvd was interlaced or progressive?
Third, the resulting Quicktime movie is squashed into a 4:3 aspect ratio instead of letterboxed. Is this ok at this stage of the process, or should I have a panic attack?
Lastly, and perhaps this is beyond the scope of this discussion, where did all of the subtitles and audiotracks go? Are they in the Quicktime movie somewhere? After I do the NTSC conversion how can I rebuild the dvd as it was in all other respects?

    06474 is a MM-PUR error . It will also have effection to MM prochase order process.
    Error message 06 474 with item category W and M contracts occurs if the
    material on the PO has the same short description (text) as a non-stock
    item from the referring contract.
    If you change the description of your short text on the PO item (ex.
    text1) or you insert a material master with a description the error
    message will not appear.
    The error message that is generated is part of standard functionality.
    It is designed to prevent you from having a duplicate material.

    In the new transactions for the purchase order, the system displays the message for a material group contract with reference, which is correct, if there is an assigned material without a material number and the short text, which was copied to the purchase order from the contract to help you, was not changed to the actual material text. In this case, the short text of the material should be more specific in the purchase order than that for the material group in the contract.
    For situations in which the specification of the purchase order text does not need to be checked, the message could be made adjustable in Customizing.
    In Transaction ME21 and ME22, the text is not copied and must be entered manually. However the system then no longer carries out a check.

  • Windows 8.1 Update always sets Bing as Search Provider (IEAK doesn´t tell it to)

    I´m building a Windows 8.1 (with Update 1)-Image for my Company and want to customize IE11. Everything works fine, beside two things:
    1. In my IEAK-Package I add Google as search provider and set it to default. The IE-branding-package is applied during the building of the image. But when I log in the first time, IE comes up with Bing as default and Google as additional search provider.
    First I thought this has anything to do with SCCM installing the branding pack as LocalSystem during the task sequence, but with some testing, I found out, that Win 8.1 Update 1 (KB2919355) was my Problem! If I install my branding package to Windows 8.1 (without
    Update 1), Google is set as default search provider for accounts that already exist and for new accounts. When Update 1 is applied and my Branding pack runs after that, Google is set as default search provider for existing accounts only, but not for new accounts,
    they get Bing! It doesn´t matter if I do that as LocalSystem within a task sequence or as local admin, with Update 1 - Bing, without - Google! I also tried to set the HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes\DefaultScope-value in the "Default
    User" and imported the {xxxx...xxxxx}-Search Provider-Value for Google, but this seems to be overwritten by some first logon command. Is there any Win 8.1 or IEAK-Hotfix to correct this behaviour?
    2. This one is AFAIK in every IEAK since IE8, but it´s annoying anyway: you select that no MS Defaults should be added, and that only items created by the Administrator should be deleted, in the "Browsing Options" of IEAK but (in

    So it did.  The settings are being customized by "ie4uinit.exe -UserConfig" during Active Setup for each new user.  I could not find where it was picking up its orders, otherwise I would have edited the ieuinit.inf or registry or xml
    file rather than attempt to undo the damage using the below method.  Documentation on ie4uinit.exe was nonexistent or hidden, and I didn't have the patience to keep filtering and trawling through 7000 reg entries to find the source of the problem.
    As a test, disabling / renaming / removing the "stubpath" fixed the problem, but also vanished the Metro IE icon.  I didn't pursue this further to see if this was a simple fix, choosing instead to make things a little more complicated:
    During the deployment task sequence, I create another registry key under "Installed Components" in Active Setup.  I don't know if there's a way to control the order of execution, but I think I got lucky enough that my stuff executes after
    the other commands per user.

    hklm_scope and hkcu_scope_current are exports of searchscopes that I'm reasonably happy with.  Except after
    KB2988414, my users are prompted to approve my change away from the default of Bing, only once.  So MS wins again, unless I go uninstall that update and block it - except it was part of a cumulative rollup!
    Anyway, I don't even care that much about which search engine goes, but search suggestions were ON by default, which is a big nono when dealing with sensitive work.  Search suggestions mean that all text in a browser address bar is logged and stored
    by the search company.
    A creative workaround I hadn't thought of was to keep the Bing GUID and change all the values underneath to your search engine of choice:

    I was considering this, but it still feels a bit hacky, and I'm sure it would only be a matter of time before something breaks it.
    Oh, well.  Not the ideal solution, and I resent beyond words the inability to set something from an administrator's task and then have the OS second-guess me and undo my changes via an update meant to give more control to users who could not care less
    about these "enable" or "approve" prompts.

    Hello everyone, I just installed Windows 7 - 64 bit. Supposedly the driver for the HP Officejet 5510 will install automatically in Windows 7 when connected via a USB, which is not happening.

    I have the same problem. I spent all this money to get more features, not less so Windows 7 should run all of my XP stuff. Now I see that my HP Officejet 5510 all-in-one won't scan and I can't save in pdf format. C'mon HP....give us a driver! If I wind up having to buy another printer, I swear it won't be an HP if I get abandoned on this one. And I'll also switch vendors for all of the printers I'm responsible for replacing at work too.

    Some things to look at ...
    1. Are you sure you posted the right SQL? I could not "balance" the parenthesis - 4 "(" and 3 ")"
    2. Unnecessary "(" ")" in the subquery "(sum" are confusing
    3. Updates with subqueries can be slow. The tqtr5 value seems to evaluate to a constant. You might improve performance by computing the value beforehand and using a variable instead of the subquery
    4. Subquery appears to be correlated - good! Make sure the subquery is properly indexed if it reads < 20% of the rows in the table (this figure depends on the version of Oracle)
    5. Is tqtr5 part of an index? It is a bad idea to update indexed columns

  • Install updates on set date

    Hi All,
    I am trying to get some non critical servers to automatically install windows updates from WSUS and then reboot. I know in Group Policy I can set it to install updates on a particular day of the week, but I would like to install updates and reboot on the
    last weekend of the month.
    I have tried creating a simple batch file with the following lines in it, attached to a scheduled task
    wuauclt.exe /updatenow
    shutdown /r /f /t 0
    This works ok when logged in as a user but will not work when not logged in. I did set option "run whether user is logged on or not" The reboot command works ok, but it would appear that wuauclt.exe /updatenow will not work on the login screen
    even with the task set to use the local administrator account.
    Can someone either tell me how I can set updates to install on a specific date, or tell me how to get the wuauclt.exe command to work under the login screen. This is for Windows 2008 R2 and above.

    This technique has been discussed dozens of times in the forum. With the native WSUS/WUA environment this is done by [1] scheduling a
    weekly update installation event on the day of your choosing, and [2] approving the updates for installation no more than =168= hours in advance of the scheduled installation time, but at least =24= hours in advance. If you want the client systems
    to download the updates before the actual installation event, then set approve the updates at least =48= hours in advance. I would also configure these systems with 12 hour detection frequencies.

    You cannot. The Wuauclt.exe is a CLI interactive utility used to allow a logged on user to access the WUA API. In Vista and later systems it was functionally replaced by the Control Panel Windows Update applet, but retained in the WUA distribution since
    the WUA applies to ALL operating system versions.
    If you want to run something as a non-interactive task, you'll need to write code against the WUA API to do this. There are scripts already written that do this.

    Do not install SQL Server to the root directory of a mount point, setup fails when the root of a mounted volume is chosen for the data file directory, we must always specify
    a subdirectory for all files. This has to do with how permissions are granted. If you must put files in the root of the mount point you must manually manage the ACLs/permissions. We need to create a subfolder under the root of the mount point, and install
    there.

    Without seeing the full code like, for example, the definition of v_sql_stmt, and without knowing you tables and data, my guess would be that, based on the code provided, the update process is extremely inefficient and is likely updating the same row multiple times in this procedure, and even more likely in the entire set of provedures.
    Based on the erro message, it appears that you are running a package called batch_upd_dfuprojdraftstatic. Based on the name of the procedure you show, I also suspect that there are several other procedures that update single columns of dfuprojdraftstatic one after the other.
    I know that the table dfuprojdraftstatic is at least part of the base for a materialized view (mlog$_dfuprojdraftstatic is the materialized view log attached to the table to track changes for refreshing the materialized view). For each update you issue, Oracle creates a record in the materialized view log tracking what changed. If you do update col1, that creates a record in the log for each row , if you subsequently do update col2 that creates a second record for each row. However, if you do update col1, col2, that only creates a single record for each row. So, updating all of the columns requiring updates at the same time will reduce the number of the materialized view log entries, which should reduce the space required.
    You may alos want to loko at purging some of the data form the log using the dbms_mview package.

                            where ID = (select id from table where tipo='B')but it do not work!!! give me the error ORA-00936, my be it is not possible!!

    Hi,
    your statement; -
    UPDATE table SET ID_COLL = (select id from table where tipo='B')will only work if the result of the select statement returns only 1 row, otherwise in the statement you need a join to the table being updated to correlate the update on a row by row basis.
    Make sense?
    Also, your where clause cannot make sense the equals clause will only work against a single value being selected, IN or exists would work, but not "=".
    The logic of what you have written resolves to; -
    where id = (2, 4), which I hope you would not write?!
    Similarly your set resolves to; -
    set id_col = (2,4) which again is nonsense.
    Please note there is no ''magic join" that exists between your SQL queries "where SQL" and your "update SQL" - there is no way what you have written could work.
    Though you may want to look at dynamic SQL and bulk binding for a similar concept.

    Here's the crux of my frustration:
    (1) Customer Service is NOT contact-able, to receive LIVE help.

    Given that a significant number of subscribers are having the above referenced issue with attempting to download the current update for InDesign, WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO, in order to get our contractually paid-for updates to our legally and contractually paid-for Adobe software, specifically in my case, InDesgin's current update?
    Please, NO TECHNICAL mumbo-jumbo which most likely will cause the overwhelming majority of users, like me, to seriously corrupt their computer files, but rather an honest, straightforward "what to do" from real CS/Engineers working for Adobe, as to how to FIX this issue, period.

    (5) a Pop-Up window should open, and display:
      Launch Application
      This link needs to be opened with an application.
    with the first option to select being the CreativeCloud(URIHandler)
    (5) Select this application and click OK.
    What happened when I followed steps (1) thorugh (5) is that:
    (a) InDesign CC(2014) was installed,
    (b) InDesign CC, updated, and then
    (c) InDesign CC(2014), also updated.
    Why this all worked, is a mystery to me.
    Looks like a separate, "new" version of InDesign, InDesign CC(2014), was installed, the existing "old" InDesign was updated, and then the newly installed Indesign CC(2014) was further updated.
    A BIT MORE, when I launched my InDesign CC app, and checked to see if there were Updates Available, there in fact was an Adobe InDesign CC 64 bit (9.2.2) update.
    I clicked on UPDATE and my "old" InDesign CC app was "successfully updated."
    FURTHER INFO:  I may have neglected to list some important info ... OS:  Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center, 64-bit
    Confused, I am able to launch BOTH of these apps, and hopefully I may use one of these versions of the InDesign CC app, to do some InDesign work.

    My iPod touch 4th gen 32gb verson 4.3.1 is downloading and updating apps very slow more than an hour. I just got it a day ago and I backed up all my apps music and pictures and videos from iTunes. Few months ago I had an iPod touch but I lost it and it was working fine. Luckily before I lost it i backed up everything to iTunes so now everything that was in my old iPod is now in my new iPod. Anyways, When I first bought it I straight away backed up everything and saw that i had many updates on my apps. I started updating it all at once but even the first one was not loading at all and mty ipod was hanging many times during the updates so i cancelled all the updates. i even tried it on my computer and it was taking forever but my laptop does updating and downloading apps slower than my ipod so that doesnt matter. Even when I download an app on my iPod now its take more that an hour. So i was wondering, is my iPod slow cause I backed up too many things when i just got it . I have about 120 apps 150 plus photos and 70 videos and I backed it up all in one night on the day i got my ipod. So now I'm restoring my iPod and updating it to IOS 5 and see what happens. Hopefully it will be faster then but I still need to know what is main problem of m iPod hanging and slow updating/downloading. Need a reply ASAP. Thanks

    Still you can switch it off while syncing.
    You can also do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears)

    Honestly, I have never had a customer ask me 'how' do I identify which Items go together in a specific category.  I am thinking I start with the Functional Area (Inv, PO, OM, WM, etc..) attributes, and start the grouping there.  The customer is asking for "best practices" - any input would be appreciated.
    I have a fresh install of Oracle Inventory, Purchasing, Order Management, Service - We have 2,000,000 part numbers.
    How have you instructed your customers/clients (both Internal and External) in the PROCESS of categorizing all of their Items?
    What is the Step-by-step process of grouping those 2MM items into accurate Category Sets and more accurately into the most correct Category.
    I would 'assume' it would start with some analysis with all the Items listed with all the item attributes, and start with ECCN (for example) or Item Type grouping. Then...(?)
