TV Series Pages cause iTunes 10.4.1 to crash
Whenever I connect to a TV Series page with more than 18 episodes in the iTunes store, iTunes 10.4.1 crashes without any error messages. Anyone seen this issue?
I can duplicate the issue repeated using the any season of the TV Series "Bones", as well as with any season of "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse". The magic number seems to be 18 episodes or so because I can get season 4 of "Eureka" to load, and it has 17 episodes on it. I can slo hit a variety of series with less than 18 episodes and not have any issues. I haven't seen any issues with Movie or music pages either (yet), it only seems to happen on TV Series pages.
I am running an iMac core duo @ 2.66Ghz, with 4G of RAM, Mac OS X 10.5.8 and iTunes 10.4.1.

ITunes started opening automatically about every 30 seconds on my P.C. - I realised that the last thing I did when I connected my iPad to my PC (last time using my USB cable connection) was to put a "X" in the box that said "Sync using wifi". I re-connceted my iPad by the cable and I unchecked this box, iTunes stopped opening automatically every 30 seconds.
My PC was obviously looking for my iPad by wifi every 30 seconds,

New iPhone 3G handset causing iTunes 10.1.1, to crash while syncing.
My old handset broke and I have recently been sorted out a new one from Apple as mine was under warranty. These were both iPhone 3Gs operating OS 4.2.1. After getting the new phone, I was told to simply plug it in to my PC (running Windows Vista), and click 'Restore from Backup' in iTunes (I have iTunes 10.1.1) and it would sync my apps/music/photos etc so that my new handset would be back to how my original handset was. However, after pressing sync, my phone did half of the sync and then iTunes froze to say 'Not Responding'. This happens time and time again, and the only way I am able to restore anything is by syncing 5 apps at a time, or 20 songs at a time. It cannot complete the full backup -> sync complete without iTunes freezing. This NEVER happened before with my old handset as well. Is this something anyone else has had problems with when they have swapped handsets? Are there any solutions at all? Any help would be great as this is really frustrating!!

IPod causing iTunes 7.3.2 to crash
I am getting the "iTunes has unexpectedly quit" message when I attampt to manage my 5th Gen iPod.
I have repaired all premissions on my iMac
Everything is the latest version.
I have performed the 5 Rs on the iPod
I have temporarily sync'd my iTunes library (or a much as the iPod will take)
Normally like most people. I have created playlists which I sync.
This all seems odd as I can mount and eject the iPod when I want providing I don't use any of the tabs in on the iPod when mounted in iTunes such as podcasts, playlists etc.
Is this an issue with 7.3.2?

IPod mini cause iTunes to crash
my iPod causes iTunes to crash. This means I can't repair it/reset it via iTunes. It also has caused my computer to crash. I've tried resetting it etc already... and iTunes works fine when the iPod is not connected.

- the restart ipod services section, useful! Managed to get iTunes working for long enough without crashing to reboot the ipod. Took quite a lot of time but got there in the end... and nice and satisfying. Think my iPod has had too many years of abuse from me.

Recent ITunes update has caused ITunes not to work. Tried uninstalling all Apple products and reinstalling fresh. Still doesn't work. Tried reinstalling from an old install.exe. Install went nicely but program won't start as it says it can't open the library file.
Now that I have no way of accessing any of the products I have purchased from ITunes, I will most certainly never use ITunes again for any reason. Why throw good money after bad? I will use another MP3 player that is not as cumbersome or proprietary.
Lesson learned. -
Did the update to OS 5...synched all my apps..then only 11 pages of apps are visible..the others are invisible..If I move an appfrom the 12 plus pages in itunes to a lower page...It becomes visible....WHY?..How can I get all 20 plus pages visible?
OK....First,you are right, OS 5 has the 11 page limit....you must create folders of Apps until you get below 11 pages of combined folders and apps...NOTE.....the upgrade to OS 5 killed all of my old folders and folder organizations...this may be an issue for all????.....I have over 300 apps so when the old folders went away...I was left with 20 plus pages....only 11 visible....It took me awhile to find out what happened....Since I have 64G it seems that 11 visible pages is a silly limit since the apps are on the machine...

I have downloaded audiobooks from the library using Overdrive for years. I have a new computer with Windows 8 and now it's been difficult. I have a book ready to transfer to ITunes to download to my Ipod but in order to transfer it a message came up saying go to the summary page in ITunes and check Manually Mange Music. I can't find the summary page anywhere on itUNES
The Summary screen is what you see in the main part of the iTunes window, when you select the iPod in iTunes.
To select the iPod in iTunes when the iTunes sidebar is NOT visible, there is a "device button" near the upper right corner of the iTunes window. If your iPod is the only connected device, it should say "iPod." Click it to select your iPod in iTunes.
If the iTunes sidebar IS visible (along left side of window), the iPod appears in the sidebar, under DEVICES. Click it there to select it.
When the iPod is selected, there is a row of buttons that starts with Summary. Summary should be the initially displayed screen. That setting (a checkbox) is actually Manually manage music and videos for an iPod touch. -
What kind of programs causes itunes symbols to replace most of my other symbols on my desktop?
i dont know how to fix this but i think its cause there is a program on my computer that is causing itunes to appear all glitchy. yes i downloaded the right itunes, yes i have the newest version. what happens is that itunes just opens up all of a sudden and when i have a different program running the itunes window just jumps to the front and causes me to mess up whatever i am doing. then the next day when i open up any other program itunes opens instead of the program i clicked. so i have to completely uninstall itunes nd thn reinstall it nd it works fine for a day or two. now its gotten to the point where everytime i install it 90% of the programs on my desktop, the actual symbols turns into the symbol for itunes.

First I'd set up a System Restore point. Then try applying the LNK registry fix from the following document:

Recently, I plugged in my ipod (30GB Photo) to my computer (running windows XP with SP2) and it caused itunes to crash. I rebooted the machine and tried again and the same thing has happened. I've spent the past day trying to fix it. I have done the following things and nothing has worked:
-reset my IPOD
-formated my IPOD (erased all the songs)
-uninstalled and reinstalled ITUNES & QUICKTIME
-tried to reinstall the ipod on the computer using the original cd.
-disabled startup items to check if anything has been conflicting
-tried all the usb ports on my computer and 2 different wires
I don't know what else to do! I don't think the ipod is formatted for windows anymore (is that possible?) and whenever I try plugging it in, iTunes freezes up until I unplug the ipod. As well, Explorer recognizes it as a "Removable Disk" not IPOD.

You're pretty much describing a problem I had yesterday.
I've got the 2gb model and initially it was working fine. I run off a 4 port usb hub with other equipment running as well.
Everything was okay but I kept getting a balloon telling me that usb 2.0 would be faster, so I routed my extension cable directly to a usb 2.0 port on my computer and all of what you describe started.
The PC showed my nano as a removeable drive but could not be acesssed. If I managed to get it recognised in itunes (took forever) then it just said it was corrupted and was unable to restore.
After much cursing and trawling the internet for answers, I gave up and put the cable back to the hub.
And.....everything worked again !!
I can only conclude that my hub (quite old) does not work on usb 2.0, or putting the extension cable (5m) straight into my PC causes a power drop / signal loss ??
Are you using an extension cable or a hub? something to try.

Like I said... I'm having all these problems. I have the updates, my computer isn't firewalled against iTunes.. I don't get it! I've been having trouble with the previewing thing for a while now.. the little 'play' icons never show up--even on music that has already been released. The front/main page of iTunes (when you first open it) shows only the side bars, not the new releases and What's Hot and all that that's usually in the center of the page. Now, on top of that (this is a very recent development) I can't even buy music! I'm signed in, I have a valid payment method, and the Buy button shows up... but when I click on it, nothing happens. I am getting really tired of this; can anyone tell me what is going on?

You may want to try resetting Winsock as a temporary fix.
1. To do so, please do the following in an administrator user:
Windows Vista and Windows 7: Right click All Programs and choose Accessories > Command Prompt. Choose to open as an administrator.
Windows XP: Click Start > Run and type in cmd.
2. Enter the following command:
netsh winsock reset
3. Restart the computer and test the issue.
Note: If the issue returns, third-party software may be reinserting the LSP. -

Movies/videos causing iTunes to shut down
My laptop recently crashed and the hard drive replaced. Fortunately all my music; movies; videos; and tv shows were on my Ipod classic. I reloaded itunes. Now the movies cause itunes to stop stating it cannot find the movie. The icon is there but no movie. The movies are still on my ipod and work great! I bought a new movie and it works fine no issues. Any ideas as to how to get my movies back onto the laptop so I can watch them Like I want to? The only thing I can think to do is to erase iTunes and start from scratch again. I can back up the ipod to another computer. ( I did that last time)
Now downloading my CD"s is creating the same problem. I now cannot even bring up the itunes on my laptop is has shut down due to movies/videos and CD downloads! What can I do? Please I need major help and calling itunes was useless they wanted to charge me for iTunes help!

You're speaking of 21 instances of 'image' tags while there are only 20 items available in this feed - maybe the 21st might be the <itunes:image... />-tag (for the podcast art) which is not in need of a closing tag?
We know that iTunes doesn't like our image tag on item level. However, we do need this tags for other usage of this video-article-feed (f.ex. normal RSS feed subscribing) which is why we cannot remove it. But: do you know of any «trick» of specifically blocking that element for iTunes store since its troubling the latter so much?

The issue is that your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside in order to purchase iTunes content.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location. You can use the iTunes Store in all countries of which you’re a resident, but you’ll either need a separate iTunes Store account for each one, or you’ll need to continually be switching the billing information on your single account.
