Tween with path animation

hi,
I am Flash Action 2 Beginner.
can some one help me out for creating the animation with
Tween and path
I have created path as circle and I want to move the my
movie clip alogn with the path in circular maner countinously.
It is to be done by frame animation but it wnat to do it by
tween class.
Thanks in Advance.

i don't think you will be able to do this with the tween
class since you can only use a single property at a time, moving
from point A to B, although you can use multiple tweens (ie. x and
y) it still is a matter of the calculation being linear.
however if you wish to move an object using code, you can
make the position calculation and move the instance continuously
using a onEnterFrame event, as in:

  • Path palette: What's wrong with "path share" and "path exclude"?

Hi everybody. First of all: Sorry for my english, but I hope someone can understanding me.
Well, I want to work with Fireworks in the future because I think that this programm keep in some situation more efficience as Photoshop... So I was trying to learn how this programm is working.
Since some days I make some experiments with Path's, because I like to work with Illustrator as well. But now, I am still going crazy because I don't understanding 2 options. I don't know the english names but In the path palette does they have this Icons:
The first option (Pfade teilen) is "path share" and the second one (Pfade ausschließen) is free translate "path exclude"
My question is: When I can use this 2 Options? I really did everything but nothing was working

Thanks for posting about this issue! I've taken a look at the "Combine Paths" operations in the Paths panel in both Fireworks CS6 and CS5 on my Mac, and noticed several bugs. Between you and I, here's a summary of what we've found:
    Fireworks CS6, Version 12.0.0.236, WIN, 7, 64 Bit, SP 1
Exclude Paths - Does not work.
Fireworks CS6, Version 12.0.0.236, Mac OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)
Divide Paths - No effect on rectangles.
Exclude Paths - Requires 2 clicks for rectangles - one to ungroup rectangles and another to apply path operation.
Fireworks CS5, Version 11.1.0.205, Mac OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)
Divide Paths - Works like Exclude Paths.
Undo - Deletes previous unrelated non-path operation. For example:
    Draw two ellipses.
    Draw a rectangle.
Select two ellipses and apply Combine Paths operation.
    Undo (Command-Z).
    The rectangle disappears!
You can submit a bug report to Adobe about the "Exclude Paths" issue, and include the URL for this discussion within your report:
    https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform
In the meantime, I'm going to send an e-mail to the developer about these issues. I know that he's working on a fix for another problem with this panel and planning on releasing a fix at some point, so hopefully these issues can get fixed as well.
Again, thanks for being so persistent. It is challenging to understand your writing at times; however, the animated GIF was very helpful—and very well done. Have you tried composing your posts in your native language and then using something like Google Translate to convert it to English? I don't know if the results would be better; it's just an idea.

  • How can I create responsive motion path animation

I have an animate file that contains many amimations and one motion path animation.  All animation elements of the animate file are responsive with the exception of the motion path animation which is not for some reason.  Why does the motion path animation not repsonsive even though it is L, T, W, H coordinates are set as percentages?
    Thanks

    Hi, evetsrelfel-
There's no way to make motion paths responsive at the moment - we limit them to pixel-based animations.
    Thanks,

  • I have a problem with an animated gif.

I have a problem with an animated gif. When I use text in the
flash file the gifs text is all messed up. The text was white in
the flash file but in the gif all the white is splodged all over
where the text was supposed to be and is totally inelegable.

OK I found a way around this problem... I delete all the text
that I had created within Flash and recreated it in Photoshop. I
rasterized the type in Photoshop the I saved the files as PSD. I
then went in to Flash and imported them to the library. I place the
images of the text where they had originally been in my Flash file.
When I published it as an animated GIF the file was perfect... No
    Black or White blocks...
SO you might try that... I'm not sure what Flash changed, but
I used to create text for animiated gif before without any
    problems...

  • [bash] How to uniq files in a file list with paths?

    Hi folks,
I know I can get rid of duplicate entries in a list by sorting and uniqing:
    sort file | uniq
But how can I uniq filenames in a file list with paths?
    /foo/abc.bar
    /foo/def.bar
    /foo/bar/def.bar
    /foo/ghi.bar
Is it necessary to write my own comparison routine like “output thisline if basename(thisline) != basename(lastline)” (would require a basename-sorted input list)?

  • Help with flash animation!

Hi there! My name is Dean and I've bought Adobe Flash CS4 4 months ago. I'm very new to flash and I've already made my first animation -
    http://www.swfcabin.com/open/1267200676
but I'm here to ask a question.
Well, I've been riding this cartoon -
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbUqEPUZ-ds
and I was wondering, how did they do the hands and legs animation? It looks like the bone tool, but whenever I use the bone tool, I can't get it right! I always get wrong edges! Here are some pictures of my failures -
    http://img202.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=fail5.jpg
anyway, I just couldn't get it right and I think it's because I draw it wrong.
Please, any help will be awesome!

Oh and by the way, about the lipsync, I think its a little jumpy, How can i make it better? (Like the Cartoon on top^)
    Thanks!

Best to do it all in Flash or not Flash at all.

  • Binding a sequence of nodes  to path animation

    I have a set of image nodes as shown below(I have five images but have just shown two here)def walk = ImageView {

I have a path for which as shown below

        node: walk
        path: AnimationPath.createFromPath(straightline)

straightlinePathAnimaiton.play();Is there a way to dynamically change the nodes like walk walk1,walk2,walk3,walk4 (Each being images)
and for a duration of 150ms walk has to be displayed then after 150ms walk1 has to be displayed and after another
150s walk2 has to be done.Further on appearance of walk2(Image),walk1 has to disappear
Thanks for your help in advance and expecting a reply...

Thanks for your reply PhiLho but i would be really grateful if I could know how he had added the images.I could just see one image declaration(for the background) there.Further
i could not understand what "standRight" means in that blog.I would really appreciate if you could explain how each image is added and/or declared and how the author adds images and moves around in the above mentioned blog post would be helpful.
I have a basic understanding of Animation and other stuff and could understand the code. But I could not understand the Player class in detail as the "standRight" and standRight is quite unknown and i could not understand what type it is.There was no declaration of and how the images are added etc....
Thanks a lot for your reply
    Expecting an answer

  • Problems with captured animation

    Goodmorning,
We have a problem with captured animations.
We have created a few movies which have some captured animations.
When we play the movies, they do work. After saving and reopening most of them don't work anymore,
and only the part with the captured animation. The screens goes fully white while playing the animation.
Only the text balloons are visable...
We work on a group directory with captivate 3. Recently the flash player is updated to version 10.
We both are opening the files, not at the same time.
    Questions:
Anybody aware of the problem ?
    Anybody with any solution ?
Does anybody knows where captivate stores captured animations ?
For example. When I look in the library, i can see four captured animations, when i want to update them, i dont see any of them.
    Brdgs Marc

    Hi there
I believe you are talking about a Full Motion Recording (FMR). If this is Captivate 3, likely you are seeing an issue whereby Flash Player 10 is causing a problem.
If you revert to Flash Player 9 you should see the preview within Captivate again. Or, if you choose not to downgrade the Flash Player, you may elect to avoid previewing in Captivate and instead preview in the Web Browser.
    Cheers... Rick

  • [CS6] How can I move shapes (created with paths)?

    [CS6]
I created shapes with the pen tool.
Then I selected the path selection tool and selected a path.
Clicked right mouse key, choosed "Fill Path..." or "Fill Subpath"
(don't know what it means). After filling with a color I get an object in
the form of the path and I can move the path to another place.
But I can't move the object in the shape of the path.
I can't move it with "Path selection tool" because it's no path.
Then I tried the "Move Tool" but I also can't select the object with it
instead the whole canvas is moving.
How can I select and move shapes which were
    created with the pen tool?

You've drawn a Path then filled a region of a pixel layer.
To make Shape layers, use the Pen Tool in "Shape" mode set in the Options bar.
If you really do want to draw a Path and use it to create moveable pixel shape then do the fill with an empty layer targeted.

  • Hyperlink buttons with click-animation

    Hi there!
Is there a way to create buttons with "click-animations". I use images as buttons, which have transparent hyperlinks above so when the user taps on it he gets to next page or wherever.
Unfortunately, this solution is not very nice if there isn´t any feedback from the button...
I hope someone has a solution.

    Hello again - I've a solution.
The Pop-Over widget has exactly the kind of bottonfeedback I´m looking for so I tried to take advantage of this.
    This is what I did:
    1.     First I used the Pop-Over widget as usual, with the image of the button I want.
    2.     Then I put the hyperlink on top of it and change the hyperlink opacity to 0%.
    3.     The scrolling region of the Pop-Over widget remains empty.
    4.     Now I set the opacity of the scrolling region to 0%.
If I tap the Button now on the iPad I get to the desired page AND there is the wonderful tapping feedback from the button caused by the Pop-Over widget.
    5.     The final little Problem to solve: The Pop-Over widgets scrolling region is highlighted with a shadow, wich is just visible if you tap the widget. If the opacity of the scrolling region is set to 0% the shadow unfortunately remains visible. You can´t see it here in the picture - it´s only if you tap the button.
But as you can see - there is an option to turn off this shadow and it is disabled. I tried for hours but I didn´t find any possibility to enable the option that disables the shadow.
At the moment it disturbs only a little, because I get linked quickly to another page. Further you almost don´t see the shadow if the background is dark but you see it if there´s a bright background. But in an eBook you perhaps pay for, nobody wants to see a shadowbug.
So, anybody has an idea now how to disable the shadow of the Pop-Over widgets srolling region?

  • Change menue & Save with Bkg animation

    1. I downloaded & installed Content/Funtional Libarary.
    2. I selected the "Fantasy Sky Menue" (Entertainment) because it has an animated background.
    3. Exported to Photoshop... Modified Menue Button Names.
    4. Did a "Save As" to "Dance" so it would show up in the Menue so I could select it in the future.
Here's the problem... "How do I also save the .M2V animation file that is attached to the origional "Fantasy Sky Menue" to my newly named "Dance" Menue... and have it connected so that when I select "Dance"... the .m2v file also shows up in the "Project" tab with the "Dance" menue?
    BTW...
Some of the Content/Funtional Libarary have an Icon with the top right edge folded over... I assume this is to tell us this Menue has an animated BKG.   The "Fantasy Sky Menue" is of these... it's why I like it & modified it for future use.
What does the "Star" symble signify in the Bottom Right Corner on some Menues?
    Thanks.

One of us is missing something. lets try again.
    1. I exported as you said.
    2. I did a "save" and that worked for my existing project.
    3. I also did a "Save as" and renamed it & put it in my Library for future
use. and that's where the Animation file no longer is attached.  Or in
another words. The renamed "Dance" shows up in my Library. but not with the
    Animation file.

  • Assorted frustrations with paths

Please, if anyone has some suggestions, I'm about to throw my computer out the window.  Before we begin, I'm in CS2 (can't upgrade at the moment)
    1.  Having great difficulty working with paths...particularly cutting and joining.  The cutting tool cursor is as close to being "on the path line" as I can get it (zoomed in at 2400 even), yet I keep getting the message that I must use the cutting tool "on a path segemnt or anchor point."  Last count was 32 attempts to cut a single path line.  Pulling my hair our.
    2.  Similar issue grabbing the direction points.  I have the correct anchor point selected, the direction guides are visible and ready, but it takes multiple attempts to "grab" the direction point in order to move it.
(With both, is there a sensitivity or tolerance threshold setting for the tool cursors that I can adjust?)
    3. Is there a better way to cut a serties of lines (no shape or fill, just lines)?  I'm trying to cut a complex "shape" into a series of lines, without turing the lines into shapes or outlining the stroke...as I need to do more with them.  I can't use any of the Pathfinder tools, and using the knife tool causins Illustrator to automatically join and close up the lines into shapes.  Very frustrating not to be able to do this seemingly simple task.
    Thanks again for any hints.
    G

    1. ...The cutting tool cursor is as close to being "on the path line" as I can get it (zoomed in at 2400 even), yet I keep getting the message that I must use the cutting tool "on a path segemnt or anchor point."
Which cutting tool are you talking about? Always try to use the terms of the program you're discussing. Ilustrator CS2 has a Scissor tool and a Knife tool. Both are sub-standard. In other drawing programs, a single cutting tool is more capable than all of Illustrator's put together. (This is also true of other multi-tool interfaces in Illustrator.)
To use the Scissor tool, you have to click right on the path you want to cut. It can only make one cut at a time.
To use the Knife tool, you drag across one or multiple paths. To make a straight cut, press and hold Alt as you drag.
The use of the tools is explained in the online Help.
Stupidly, Illustrator's Knife tool cannot cut open unfilled paths. (Similar problems in handling open unfilled paths permeate Illustrator's feature set. Always have.)
    2. ...it takes multiple attempts to "grab" the direction point in order to move it.... is there a sensitivity or tolerance threshold setting...?)
I don't recall exactly when Illustrator finally gained its very long overdue pick-distance "sensitivity" setting. CS3, as I recall. See if you have a Selection and AnchorPoint Display pane in the Preferences dialog. Failing that, see if you have a SmartGuides dialog. As I recall, SmartGuides appeared one version prior to Selection and AnchorPoint Display, and SmartGuides has a Snapping Tolerance setting. (You would have to have SmartGuides on to use it.)
    3. Is there a better way to cut a serties of lines (no shape or fill, just lines)? ...Very frustrating not to be able to do this seemingly simple task.
It's just one of many bedrock basic tasks that Illustrator has been decades late in providing. Such is the entire history of this program. Newcommers to this program are continually frustrated and astonished at the omission and/or difficulty of capabilities they have long taken for granted in other programs. Those without proficiency in competing programs often dogmatically defend its sub-standard features. Truth is, Illustrator's predominance in the market segment is due to marketing success and recognition of the Adobe brand, not to its feature set or its useability. This has always been the case with this program.
CS3 added yet another cutting tool, the Eraser. The behavior of this feature is also sub-standard in that it cannot make zero-width cuts, and it unpredictably disturbs the shapes of the remaining portions. CS5 added a Shape Builder tool, which can be used much like Corel Draw's Virtual Segment tool to sense path intersections and delete path portions on one side or the other of the intersection.
These new features, combined with the anemic pre-existing features have improved the overall path-cutting capabilities; but add to one of Illustrator's most problematic and pandemic problems: basic functionality being scattered across multiple unintuitive and poorly-integrated tools and commands.
Overall, it's the worst-of-class vector drawing interface. It's just the way it is, and always has been.
One of the best features that could be added to this program would be the ability to draw a path and then use it as either an accurate cutting path or as a selection marquee (with a contact-sensitive option). That would actually be competitively innovative. But don't hold your breath.

  • Help with Reverse Animation On Button

The buttons are animated with a movie clip inside each button
and the movie clip plays on rollover, however I need this same
movie clip inside the buttons to play reversed, when the cursor is
    moved away from the button.
I know how to do this with an instance but I already made
each button and fooled around a thousand times with the animation
and I do not wish to start over again!
I have only experimented with this type of action script
before and I must say I am a little lost =(
Can anyone help me as to how I would go about doing this ?
    Any coding would help.
I know there is a simple way of doing it with action script,
but I have no more time to fool around and I need your assistance
    =P
If you could supply the code it would help me out.
(I can modify it to work with my page and my buttons)
Just need something to work off of.
Maybe a code I can put on the button, or whatever you can
    come up with.
    For future reference,
    thanks

Without knowing the details of what you have created, or the
code you have attempted to use, the best I can offer at the moment
is to say you need to have the reverse playing code of the
movieclip get triggered by the mouse out event and not stop
stepping back down the timeline until the _currentframe value
reaches 1. If another mouse over should occur, then it's your
decision as to whether it picks up from where it has stepped back
to or starts from frame 1.
Starting over again is often the better approach, since what
you may have created may not be able to facilitate directing things
    to play in reverse.

  • Synchronizing Voice Over with Flash animations

Is there a way to time voice-over that has been imported via
the Adobe Presenter menu with specific events or visual cues within
an imported Flash file? For instance, having a visual in the Flash
file pop up when the narrator says something.
I saw some functionality in Presenter that alludes to what
I'm trying to do ... where you can sync the audio with PowerPoint
text transitions by dragging a marker to the appropriate spot on
    the sound wave bar.
    Thanks.

there are two ways to achieve synching with PPT animations,
through the "Synchronize Audio" tool or through the "Audio Editor"
which you eluded to. They are both menu options in the Presenter
