Two iterators browsing the same data (a table and a tree) problem

I have an ADF UIX application with a navigation tree and a central page with a table of the records of a Works view object.
There is a hierarchical relationship of Works ->Subworks-> Tasks which is shown in the tree. In the central part of the page, there is a table of Works.
I want
1) the tree to show all the data, but only about 10 works at a time (using small arrows for scrolling up and down)
2) the table to show only 10 or 20 records each time. Not the same with the tree.
3) Both clicking on a link on the tree and selecting a work on the table will open the appropriate page.
4) Opening the children of a node in the tree and clicking on the links being able to send me directly in the correct subwork or task page EVEN if I haven't visited the parent node (work) first.
I cannot seem to be able to succed in the "even if" part of 4 and I can succeed in only any 2 of the first three.
If the tree iterator and table iterator point to the same view object (work1 for example), it is impossible to show a different set of works in the tree and the table
If I use different view objects, then, if the tree part is working, the table selection doesn't work. I imagined that's a problem with "SetCurrentRowWithIndex" and I tried to set up correctly a "SetCurrentRowWithKey" event, but I didn't know how to write the handler. (I use JHS event handling, by the way)
I suppose the following has errors:
<event name="setCurrentRowWithKey" source="GetaeergView1">
<set target="${bindings.GetaeergView1Iterator}" property="currentRowKeyInRange" value="${ui:tableSelectedKey(uix, 'GetaeergView1')}"/>
</event>
Any suggestions?

Noone has tried this again?

  • Two Iterators on the Same Collection

I posted this one on the Java Collections Framework forum but there don't seem to be many people there so let me post this here, too.
I want to use two iterators at the same time on a single collection. They are like two trains going one after another. If I use the iterator supplied by Java, however, if one iterator structurally modifies the underlying collection, the other throws ConcurrentModificationException.I want to avoid this. I want both iterators to modify the underlying collection freely, and when the collection was modified by one, I want the other to know what happened and what to do, rather than throwing an exception. How can I do this? Can I just manipulate somewhat on the Java iterator, or must I make an iterator implementation that does what I want from the scratch?

I'm writing a flow analysis module of a compiler. I'm not totally sure what optimizer does, but it needs to manipulate the list of instructions, which involves removing and adding instructions into the list. Some time we may need two iterators that cooperate together to find out when we can remove an instruction, for example. Or, one iterator does the analysis and removal, while the other may do some cleanup work. (I say again I'm not totally sure what optimizer does.) Some guy suggested using visitor pattern, but after some investigation (of the visitor pattern stuff) I thought iterator that behaved more smartly was more relevant. Or maybe not.

  • Two groups with the same name in File and LDAP realms

    Hi,
I configured WLS 6.0 SP1 to use an LDAP caching realm
as default one. In the LDAP server (Netscape Directory)
I have a group called Administrators. There is a group
with the same name in WLS own File Realm. When I click
on the Groups menu item in the administration console
I only get the Administrators group from the File Realm
listed. Is that expected? What will happen if I protect
a resource ti the Administrators group? Which one will
prevail - the one from the LDAP or the one from File
Realm? Or maybe the two will be merged?

    Hi
First of all I want to know that where you created your class, In SE24 or in any programm.
if in SE24, then go to se24 open that class go to methods tab and check if that method name accurs at two places, if not, then
click on that method and check the code.
    or if in a program.
then you must have defined like
    class <class name> definition.
    public section
    method <method name>
    endclass.
    class <class name> implementation.
    method <method name>
      code for that method.
    endclass.
It might be possible you have set the implementation part twice for that particular method, So please check and delete one implementation for that method.
    Thanks

  • Two LVO link to the same not base table field

I would like to know if it possible to relate two LOV to the same not base table field. If it possible, how to do it.
    Thanks,
    Julia

You can set the LOV with set_item_property(<item>,LOV_NAME,<lov>). This way you can associate 2 or more different LOV's with an item. Of course only one LOV can be active at any given time.

  • How to check wwheter two files are the same?

    Hi,
I need to check wheter two files are the same. Their names and paths may be different. How to do that? Do u have any links / examples?
Important notice: Files used in the application will be big (ie 1, 2gb)

Comparing a hash, if you have to calculate it each
time, is bound to be slower than a byte by byte, or
    character by character compare.
This kind of comparison is used mostly in things like
content management systems, when a new file of data
is checked to see if it's identical to a file already
entered, hash values being stored for each file
    already in the system.
And comparing the hashes can only prove the files are
different, if the hashes are equal that doesn't
absolutely guarantee that the files are the same.
Normally you'd confirm a matching hash by actually
comparing file content.Depends on how good your hash is..but in general...yes. I was only saying that it's faster if you're always maintaining a has of the file.

  • Is it possible to have two files with the same name on my Zen To

    Hia,
Is it possible to have two mp3 files with the same name?; I.e if I'm ripping a Bach CD, there are several tracks that have the name preludium, and I hate to do the rename.
Also, will I be able to sync my Zen so that It will only recieve new files that have been added since I last connected my Zen to my computer?
    regards,
    Fredrik

I believe same filename is OK because the Zen Player does not really care about filename. As far as I know, the Zen database of the tracks in the player is based on the track information such as Title, Artist, Album and Genre. This means you cannot have two tracks of the same Title, Artist, Album and Genre in the Zen Player.

  • SUM two ROWS in the SAME Table

    Hi,
I have a problem with this issue. I want to sum two rows from the same table, but I don´t know how to do that. I tried to do it with CTE, but always I get the same error "Ambiguous". I would like to ask you, if there is other manner to get that
data (sum two rows) and if it is possible to see examples about it.
    Thank you  in advance

  • Print data in two line in the same column

    Hi,
In a tabular Report I want to print a column (eg:Description,) in two lines in the same cell.
Since the description is too long. Is it possible in report 6i. Or any other solution for this?
    Please reply.

    Hello,
For the Description field set the Vertical Elasticity to EXPAND. Then it will adjust automatically based on data.

  • Sharing the same data on two macs

Hello, I have two Macs and would like to keep the same data on each laptop. I don't think iSync is the tool for the job. Can anybody out there advise of an easy affordable method of ensuring both my machines are sharing the same data; itunes, photo's, files, etc.
    Many thanks.

Get FoldersSynchronizer You can set up a selection of folders and sync them between two Macs.

  • I currently have one input but need to run two loops. I cannot get the two while loops to run so that they both pick up the same data, they are both picking up alternate samples. How can I get them to both pick up all of the values?

The system I am trying to create calculates a number of values based on an input. I need to make the calculations and display the values for an entire production run and for each hour. The only way I know to do this is to create two while loops, one looking at all the values that are received and one looking only at the values for hour long periods.
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks
    RossH

Why do you think that you have to have two loops to accomplish this task? Why not use one loop and accumulate the same data into two data sets based on the two sets of criteria?

  • Trigger problem -- can't insert the same data into audit table

    Sir/Madam,
I'm trying to use insert trigger with a 'long raw' datatype data for my audit purpose. Each time, the data of original table can be inserted correctly. While the trigger for audit table in which it contains almost the same data as original would failed. The error messages are some thing like following:
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01461: can bind a LONG value only for insert into a LONG column
    ORA-06512: at "CORPSEC.TI_ARCHIVE_PDF", line 9
ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger 'CORPSEC.TI_ARCHIVE_PDF'
If the column with 'long raw' datatype is taken out, then there is no error at all. I'm using Oracle 8i 8.1.6 for Windows NT and suspect there is bug in PL/SQL execution.
The following are SQL text for the trigger:
CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER "CORPSEC"."TI_ARCHIVE_PDF" AFTER INSERT ON "ARCHIVE_PDF" FOR EACH ROW DECLARE
    LOG_SEQ_NO NUMBER;
    BEGIN

  • Two triggers in the same table and event

If I created two triggers on the same table and event (before insert), which of them will be triggered first ?...
The problem from the beginning is that I created the second one as after insert and in the body of the trigger I wrote (:new.xxx:= value) ... then an error (that it should be before insert trigger or update trigger), so I created it as before update ,,, but I have already before update trigger (for primary key)..... and the problem -I think- which of them start first...
Can make the second one as after insert and make update statement instead of assigning (:new.xxx:= value).....
    Regards

If I created two triggers on the same table and event
(before insert), which of them will be triggered
first ?...As already mentioned, prior to 11g the order of firing is undetermined.
The problem from the beginning is that I created the
second one as after insert and in the body of the
trigger I wrote (:new.xxx:= value) ... then an error
(that it should be before insert trigger or update
trigger), so I created it as before update ,,, but I
have already before update trigger (for primary
key)..... and the problem -I think- which of them
start first...If there is a conflict of interest inside the code then you will have to alter your design principle around this to cater for it. Also consider combining the code into a single before insert trigger to prevent any confusion.
Can make the second one as after insert and make
update statement instead of assigning (:new.xxx:=
value).....Attempting to update or query the same table as is causing the trigger to fire will result in a mutating table error. You can't do this.

  • Compare two results from the same table

i have two results from the same table that i would like to compare. below is my query and the results i want to compare
    SELECT tblItemRoutingBOM.ItemRevID, tblItem.ItemID, tblItem.PartNum, tblItem.ItemName, tblItem.ManufacturerPartNum AS [Mfg Part#], tblItemRoutingBOM.Quantity
    FROM tblItemRouting
    INNER JOIN tblItemRoutingBOM ON tblItemRouting.ItemRoutingID = tblItemRoutingBOM.ItemRoutingID
    INNER JOIN tblItem ON tblItemRoutingBOM.ItemID = tblItem.ItemID
    WHERE tblItemRoutingBOM.ItemRevID in (61,70)
as you can see i am returning two records using the where clause
ItemRevID, ItemID, PartNum, ItemName, Manufacturer, Mfg Part#, Quantity
    61,121,331503,.233 Aluminum Sheet,,1
    70,121,331503,.233 Aluminum Sheet,,3
now what i am looking for is to combine these two together into one row with the following added.  two columns for each QTY, QTY1 = 1 and QTY2 = 3 with a third column added that is the difference between the two QTY Diff = 2
    Any thoughts?

Here are the two statements that i want to combine, results for each are attached
    SELECT tblItem.ItemID, Sum(tblItemRoutingBOM.Quantity) AS SumOfQuantity, tblItem.PartNum AS [Part #],
    tblItem.ItemName, tblManufacturer.ManufacturerName AS Manufacturer, tblItem.ManufacturerPartNum AS [Mfg Part#]
    FROM tblItemRouting
    INNER JOIN tblItemRoutingBOM ON tblItemRouting.ItemRoutingID = tblItemRoutingBOM.ItemRoutingID
    INNER JOIN tblItem ON tblItemRoutingBOM.ItemID = tblItem.ItemID
    INNER JOIN tblUnits ON tblItem.UnitID = tblUnits.UnitID
    LEFT JOIN tblManufacturer ON tblItem.ManufacturerID = tblManufacturer.ManufacturerID
    WHERE tblItemRoutingBOM.ItemRevID=61
    GROUP BY tblItem.ItemID,tblItem.PartNum,tblItem.ItemName,tblManufacturer.ManufacturerName,tblItem.ManufacturerPartNum
    SELECT tblItem.ItemID, Sum(tblItemRoutingBOM.Quantity) AS Quantity, tblItem.PartNum AS [Part #],
    tblItem.ItemName, tblManufacturer.ManufacturerName AS Manufacturer, tblItem.ManufacturerPartNum AS [Mfg Part#]
    FROM tblItemRouting
    INNER JOIN tblItemRoutingBOM ON tblItemRouting.ItemRoutingID = tblItemRoutingBOM.ItemRoutingID
    INNER JOIN tblItem ON tblItemRoutingBOM.ItemID = tblItem.ItemID
    INNER JOIN tblUnits ON tblItem.UnitID = tblUnits.UnitID
    LEFT JOIN tblManufacturer ON tblItem.ManufacturerID = tblManufacturer.ManufacturerID
    WHERE tblItemRoutingBOM.ItemRevID=70
    GROUP BY tblItem.ItemID,tblItem.PartNum,tblItem.ItemName,tblManufacturer.ManufacturerName,tblItem.ManufacturerPartNum
    114,11,55002,Pepsi Blue Cap,NULL,
    117,5,331501,Marigold Yellow For ABS,NULL,
    121,1,331503,.233 Aluminum Sheet,NULL,

    121,3,331503,.233 Aluminum Sheet,NULL,
    125,6,331504,Velvet Vinyl .008,NULL,
my returned result should combine above with two extra columns (two extra columns because i have two results to combine)
    114, 11, 33, 22, 55002, Pepsi Blue Cap, NULL,
    117, 5, 15, 10, 331501, Marigold Yellow For ABS, NULL
    121,1, 3, 2, 331503, .233 Aluminum Sheet, NULL
    125, 2, 6, 4, 331504, Velvet Vinyl .008, NULL
Columns go as such, ID, QTY1 (for 61), QTY2 (for 70), Diff (QTY1-QTY2), PartNum, ItemName, Mfg, Mfg Part#
IF the results from one of those two are empty then i would see something like this
    114, 11, 0, 11, 55002, Pepsi Blue Cap, NULL,
    117, 5, 0, 5, 331501, Marigold Yellow For ABS, NULL
    121,1, 0, 1, 331503, .233 Aluminum Sheet, NULL
    125, 2, 0, 2, 331504, Velvet Vinyl .008, NULL

  • Sub Report in Table, always showing the same data

I created a main report with data from a dataset. The DataSet has a column: @Region_ID. The Main Report is Page-Grouped by this @Region_ID and shows a tablix with some datarows foreach region.
I now want to include a subreport into the table and pass the parameter @region_ID to the subreport, which also calls a procedure including the passed @region_ID. I set the @region_ID-Parameter to "always refresh"
I added a textbox on the subreport to display the values which has been passed to the subreport.
I now have a multipage report, with a page for every region. The subreport displays various @region_ids in the textbox, but the data for the subreport itsself, shows the same data on every page. It seems like it has called the procedure only once, with the
first @region_id, and now displays this data on every page, allthough it does not match.
Any suggestions what I did wrong?

    Hi tkrasinger,
According to your description, you have the issues on displaying the parameter in subreport. It only shows the first value of the parameters. Right?
In Reporting Services, when we execute a procedure with parameter, this procedure will only be executed one time. This is the reason why it shows the same value in your subreport.
In this scenario, we can just right click on the textbox of region_id, go to
Texobox Properties -> Action -> Go to report. Select the subreport, add the region_id as parameter in
Use these parameters to run the Report. When you click on the textbox, the region_id will be passed to the subreport. So that the value will be displayed dynamically in the subreport.
