ADF Faces 10.1.3.0.4 - two-digit-year-start has no effect?
Hi all,
I have problem with entering date with an af:selectInputDate control:
the user enters the date and on an onblur event, the adf field
automatically reformats it:
10.10.10 ->10.10.2010
10.10.60 ->10.10.1960
The user (customer) wants 2 things to change:
1. if the given two digit year <= actual year (06):
10.10.06 ->10.10.2006
otherwise
10.10.07 ->10.10.1907
2. by entering a date, adf have to be accept the date without dots too:
101006 ->10.10.2006
1.: I tried to set theconfig param: <two-digit-year-start>2006</two-digit-year-start> (or with an EL expression) in the adf-faces-config.xml but it has no effect.
Is it a totally wrong idea or is it a bug?
Any other idea?
2.: Is it possible to solve this problem with a built in control or converter? Or do i have to write my own converter?
Thanks for any help!The exception is gone - I must have had something wrong in my classpath. However, I still see the warnings. Are those warnings expected when using ADF in conjunction with myfaces?

How to capture the data if i am using two Fiscal year variant
Hi
My client is required need two type financial statement one is as per company act and calender year. Other one is company act and fiscal year.
regarding we have maintain two fiscal year variant one is assigned to company code as per calender yr other one is assigned to Spl.Pr G/L. but how to capture the financial data from company code in case we are using two fiscal yr variant.
RekhaHi
U cannot maintain two two fiscal year varaint for a company code in GL. As said by u maintain one fiscal year varaint for GL and the other one for FI SL. When u post FI document in GL automatically the same will flow into FI SL for the corressponding period.
For example ur Fiscal year varant is April to March in GL
and Callendar year in FI SL and u do a posting in April 1 (period 1) in GL then it post it to 4th period in FI SL automatically since April is the 4th period in FI SL since it uses K4 as the fiscal year variant. -
hi gurus,
plz tell me how can we generate reports for two fiscal year, i think it can possible through special purpose ledger. am i right or wrong plz correct me
regards,
manoj
Moderator: Please, don't use SMS language and search before postingHI,
are you using NewGL? If yes, create a ledaing-ledger with FY-variant for the parent company (UK) and one local ledger with the 2nd fiscal year (for IN).
If you use old GL, you need a special purpose ledger with the different FY-variant for IN.

SQL*Loader - two-digit year
Hello,
Oracle 9
I'm loading data into a table using sql*loader. Included is a date field with a two-digit
year. When the data is loaded, the century for the date defaults to 20. Is there a way to
change the ctl file to set the century based on a pivot year. For example if the year
is greater than 50 then change the date so that the century is 19, otherwise the century would
be 20.
Here's data:
12345678901234567890123456789 <-- postion
0000000 <--- record 1
0010000062603DUNNING PATRI <--- record 2
0000000 <--- record 3 0010000073002BARRIS THEOD <--- record 4
0000000 <--- etc 0000000 0000000 0000000000000BANK PEOPL
Here's the ctl file:
LOAD DATA
INFILE 'S4_MST01.TST'
REPLACE
INTO TABLE mreadm.SBX_ACCOUNT_INFO
LAST_PAYMENT_AMOUNT POSITION(01:07) DECIMAL EXTERNAL ":LAST_PAYMENT_AMOUNT/100",
LAST_PAYMENT_DATE POSITION(08:13) DATE "MMDDYY" NULLIF (77:78) = '00',
CUSTOMER_SHORT_NAME POSITION(14:29) CHAR
Thanks.
PaulThere probably is a way to do it at the instant you load the data. I suggest you use a different approach.
Load the data into the table. Then execute a simple statement like:
select case when(to_number(to_char(sysdate,'YY'),99)) > 50 THEN '20' ELSE '00' END from dual;
replace the sysdate above by the name of your column and issue a simple update statement. Let me know if I confused you, I can give a more specific exmaple on updating. -

How to perform continous acq after two seperate AI config?
if i Configure for two set of channels say, channel 0 to 4 as group 1 and channel 5 to 15 as group 2 using AI group config, how do i perfrom continous acquisition?
Hi,
Before I get into your question, what version of LabVIEW are you running? What DAQ device do you have? From your question, it appears that you are programming in Traditional DAQ. If you have LV 7.x you may be able to program your device in DAQmx. DAQmx is the new driver and we are trying to get all of our customers to move away from Traditional DAQ and program their devices in DAQmx. DAQmx is substantially easier to program in than Traditional DAQ. In addition to this, all new devices will support DAQmx as Traditional DAQ is phased out.

We want to setup a Data Center Network for core banking with all the application and Database servers.For the same we are planning to design a Two-Tier firewall network architecture. First Tier firewall (Cisco PIX in failover mode) will have Web servers in DMZ as front end application server. Second Tier firewall (PIX firewall Failover mode) will have the Application and database servers in DMZ as back end servers.
Flow of data will be such that any user logging from internet will access web servers at the first level, get authenticated and web servers will in turn talk to the internal application servers for any data request.
Is the above design OK .
Pls find attached topology diagram .
Also provide me with the sample PIX config for the above Two-Tier firewall architecture implementaion of application and database servers.
Hi,
IP Scheme is as listed below.
Lan IP = 192.168.1.0/24 - 192.168.24.0/24
Internet Firewall DMZ Network (Tier-1) = 192.168.252.0/28
Internet Firewall Internal Network (Tier-1) = 192.168.252.16/28
Intranet Firewall External Network (Tier-2) = 192.168.252.16/28
Intranet Firewall DMZ Network (Tier-2) = 192.168.252.32.0/28
PiX Firewall Internal Network (Tier-2) = 192.168.252.48.0/28
RegardsHi Collin,
This server is lync edge server. My idea is one network card for to NAT with public IP adddress ( 172.16.2.x NAT with Public IP ). One is for the Internal Firewall To NAT with internal network. (20.20.0.x NAT with internal IP 10.10.0.x).
Your suggestion is want to use one NIC with one IP address for DMZ server going to both firewall, is it ?
Please advise me, thanks.

How to get total amount between two fiscal years
i Have a report requirement. I have created a crosstab report where I need to get amount of current year current month(10/2010), current year last month(09/2010),last year last month(10/2009). Here I'm comparing 10/2010 amount with 09/2010 and 10/2009. But now my manager asking to me create report that compare amount between 2008 and 2009 periods.
How to get that?
I have a prompts and I entered 1)fiscal year=2009
2)fiscal period= 9;10
3) account numbers=x;y;z;p;q;r;s
I entered fiscal year:2009 in the prompt but I need to compare fiscal year 2009(i.e 10/2009) amount with fiscal year 2008(10/2008).
2009/09 2009/10 2008/10
Account number account name amount amount amount
In advance,Thanks for your responseIs your universe based on a BEx query? If so, create the offset variables in the BEx query.
If the universe is not based on a BEx query, you will need to create these variables in your universe. I do not believe you can do this directly in Webi. -
Formula to calculate two fiscal year/period difference for non null quantit
We'd like to have a query result like the following:
Person -- Jan_2007 -- Feb_2007 -- Mar_2007 -- No. of Months
Tom --- 21 --- 54 --- 10 --- 2
John --- 0 --- 3 --- 15 --- 1
In the above query, the row is sales persons, the 1st three columns list the sales quantity by each sales person restricted by fiscal year/period and we would like to create 4th column "No. of Months" to calculate (will use formula) the month span (difference) for each sales person from his last sale activity (the last month he performed sales) and the 1st sale activity (the first month he performed sales) as listed in the above query result, e.g., Tom performed his first sales (sales quantity: 21) in the month of January of year 2007, and he performed his last sales (sales quantity of 10) in the month of March, 2007, then the "No. of Months" column value for Tom is 2. The calculation formula will be performed based on the last quantity value (> 0) to trace it's corresponding column fiscal year/period value (max of the fiscal year/period value with quantity value >0) and on the 1st quantity value (>0) to trace it's corresonding column fiscal year/period value (min of the fiscal year/period value with quantity value >0) and then do the subtraction between the max of the fiscal year/period value and the min one.
Would be appreciated if BEx experts here give the detailed steps on how to build up this formula to calculate the number of month difference and we will give you reward points!
Edited by: Kevin Smith on Mar 18, 2008 1:47 PMhi Danny,
I only gave an example of 3 columns, but actually, yes, the report can have more than 12 months, e.g. from Jan_1999, Feb_1999, ..., Mar_2011, Apr_2011.
In our simple example of 3 columns for the three consecutive months, if John had (3)(0)(15), then the No. of Months is 2, or the last month value he performed sales and 1st month he performed sales.
You said macro in Excel sheet? Not sure if macro will work on web since we will eventually run the reports on web browser, therefore we still prefer using Formula.
Any idea/solution?
Thanks! -
Two digit year cutoff in SQL Server 2008 R2
Hi All,
We have a 2008R2 setup here and have SSIS jobs importing data from flat files into our database. Some sources only give us 2 digit years unfortunately.
Looking at some data, the default 2 digit year cutoff is not really appropriate to our setup, a value of 2080 would be better. However, when checking the official documentation here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms191004(v=sql.105).aspx
there is a warning to leave the value alone to maintain backwards compatibility. This warning is NOT present for the newer versions of SQL Server. Is this just a generic warning about the general application landscape, or is there some Microsoft code somewhere
within SQL Server/SSIS/SSRS which assumes this default is locked to 2049? In other words, if I understand the application landscape at my office - am I safe to change this? Or is there some underlying code which will break?
Also, am I right in the assumption that once a 2 digit year is imported into a database table, it's then converted to a 4 digit year, so any existing data is "safe" from this setting being changed? In other words, the DB loses all memory of whether
an imported date was originally imported as a 2 digit year?
ThanksImport the string dates into DATE/DATETIME format.
DATE/DATETIME has 4 digit year.
You can convert it differently than the automatic 2049 flip year.
DATE/TIME functions & string conversions:
http://www.sqlusa.com/bestpractices/datetimeconversion/
Here is an automatic conversion example.
DECLARE @StringDate char(8) = '10/23/80';
DECLARE @Date DATE;
SELECT @Date=CONVERT(date, @StringDate, 1);
SELECT @Date;
-- 1980-10-23
