Two Submits - One Form - OK FF not IE

I thought this would be simple
I am submitting a form and on it are these two buttons and this works fine in Firefox:

However this does not work in IE and pressing the Back button simply refreshes the page as though submitted.
any ideas.

When you wrap a link around a button, IE and FF behaves differently. FF prioritize the link (<a href... tag), But IE prioritize the button, which does nothing unless you put some javasctipt on it.
You can tie the button to Javascript, so both FF and IE will be happy:

I'm sorry, but I don't want to give you bad advice at this point. I don't use Numbers and I would not know how to extract a sheet from the file - which it sounds like you need to do - based on my very, very limited experience with spreadsheet files.

Two Macs, one external boot drive (not at same time)

I'm in a weird situation where I travel b/t two cities during the week and am looking to have a computer in each. Have been doing the laptop thing, but it's too heavy to drag everyday and too slow for the video editing (I'm a filmmaker) I need to do now. So, I have a 1TB SSD and am looking to make it a boot drive (via USB 3 or Thunderbolt) for two different Macs. Right now I'm looking at two iMacs, but I might want to make one of them something else, possibly a new or older Mac Pro.
So, would I be able to run both Macs with one external drive? Also, would I have any issues if I go with two different kinds of Macs? Thought maybe there would be an advantage to having the same with connection issues of some sort.

Let me ask: how are you getting your two OS's on the external drive?
For one thing, if I understand you correctly, you want one OS on the external and use it on both Macs? That, according to the licensing agreement, is not allowed (see excerpt below); you're allowed one backup copy officially. And, secondly, you cannot boot a Mac with an OS version earlier than what it came with, so it would depend on the build of your Macs (and the exact build version it came with). My initial thought was that you clone your internal hard drives to the two partitions on the external and run them separately.
For now, just a guess on your Q #1 - not sure, depends on where it originated (see above for not booting with an earlier version) and, I prefer cloning FROM the internal system TO the external (again, because of build versions/firmware).
Q #2: see above re. software licensing agreement.
Q #3: not sure at this point

Deatails for number 1:
Firefox will not sign me in and remember my passwords at all. It first started on this site, New Jersey Online (NJ.com). I created an account there and Firefox will not log me in. That happened, January 3rd, 2012.
About NJ.com problem
I created an account there. Then I signed into my new account. I did get correct username and password. But the browser does not log me into the acount. I looked all around NJ.com for answer and my problem was not in the forums/blogs.
On Jan 4, 2012 - On the City Data forum I logged into my account there.

Firefox asked me if I want to remember this passwod, i said Yes. The box in city data forum has a remember be box I checked it.
The result means- I did not get signed in at all.
I tried multiple times, none worked.
I allowed firefox to do these things -
1. Remember browsing history for at lease one day
2. Remember download histroy.
3. Accept cookies from sites, including third party cookies, until their expiration
4. Clear the folowing when firefox closes: browsing history, download history, and form/search history.
I feel afraid this problem is gonna hsppen forever (and maybe even on this site!), and it will not sign me in to any site on the internet.
Number 2 Question
Any way to disable the loading animation in Firefox 3.6.15? it makes me forget what I was going to do. it's also shown in the addon update information. PLease help me disable the loading animation Everywhere in the Firefox browser.
For other sites with loading animations, I can use the Adblock plus element hiding helper . Just need to remove the animations by firefox
Please help me ASAP (as soon as possible), thank you!

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Two computers - One BB 8310 - sync not accurate

I have the BB 8310 (4.5.0.110), and use the Desktop Manager (4.6.0.13) on both my home computer (Vista, Outlook 2007) and my work computer (XP, Outlook 2003). I've had this same issue with previous versions of the BB and Desktop Manager.
Most of the time, although the sync process appears to have completed normally even identifying changes which are accepted, other changes do not get made. It is not unusual to have three versions of my calendar and tasks (one on BB, one on work comp and the other on home comp). I find that most of the time I have to modify the configuration of the Desktop Manager to replace all from the device to the computer, and then sync other in order to resync. This is a time consuming process.
I've attempted patches and following instructions in other threads including deleting intellisync folders and updates. None of these actions have had any impact.
Is their a solution? I look forward to your assistance.

If you want all the contents of your calendar to show up in your wife's calendar (and the reverse) then MobileMe would be a built in solution. Visit www.me.com to sign up for a trial account. You would put the same MobileMe member name into both computers by going to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Mobile Me. Once you are signed in Click on Sync, and check off "Calendars".
Before turning on Syncing I would suggest you make a backup of both your calendars by going into each computer's iCal and going to File > Export > iCal archive.

Forms 6i do not compile on Oracle 10.2.0.4

We are currently using Oracle Forms 6i (patch 18) and have recently upgraded from 10.2.0.3 to 10.2.0.4. This was done on a test environment since we are doing testing regarding the upgrade. The issue is there is just this one form that does not compile. When I hit ctrl-t, it disconnects (from oracle forms builder). I have deduced that there is this record group that is causing the disconnects. It is select from a base table (please see query below). When I remove the record group, the form compiles fine. Everything was fine on 10.2.0.3.
Since this version has been desupported for a long long time, metalink won't help. I'm hoping that someone has an idea regarding this matter. Please don't ask me why we're still using this version. Of course, it's a management thing. :)

First thing to do is get rid of the "Select *" by changing the * to the actual column list.
That may be the only problem. However, I do recall someplace we had trouble with the order-by clause in record groups as well. Try removing it to see what happens. Try using 'Order By 1" (changing the 1 to whatever column number the display_order column is in).
And don't apologize for using Forms 6i. Many of us still use it.
By the way, using "Select *" anywhere in Forms is dangerous, since Forms runs from a compiled module, and Oracle does not automatically recompile it if the underlying objects change. So if your table on which you have written a Select * gets changed, the form will fail when it tries to do the select. Instead, ALWAYS specify the exact columns you need to select from the table.
By the way #2: If you enclose your code within [code]....[/code] tags, your indentation will be preserved.

Two forms on same page..save state of one form while submitting other.

I have 2 form on same page....
first is form on table....
nd another is tabular form.....
now if I make an entry in both table ,,,,and after entering data in tabular form if click on submit button of tabular for the data of tabular form get submitted,,but the data I have been enter in first form get erased.....
now my question is how can I save state of my first form even after clicking on submit button...........
pls,help.

in your scenario you can write manual process for one form in your both forms, using this way you can achieve you functionality.
do the above and for that manual process keep the button name as your second form button means, for two forms saving with only one button.
i am not sure in this, but you can try something.

How to use one form to update two tables

How can I do that? HTMLDB wizard or form on table doesn't give me an option to use more than one table in a form or I don't know about it. I created new process which redirects the form to another page after submitting the form. On the second page I created new process which uses the same variables from the previous form page. This process runs on page load before header but it is just not working right.
So, what is the proper way to update two tables with the same form fields?

Are you sure about that? I have a page, which populate some of the items from TableA, using manual select statement, and after the user input, save some of it in TableB, using Automatic DML. No ARF in this process and it seems to work just fine. Come to think of it, what about a simple form, populated entirely by the user input, and then being saved to the db, using Automatic DML? No ARF here also.
For the problem in hand, if you can't have more then one Automatic DML per page, I think that the simplest solution will be to define a pl/sql process, with two INSERT statement to the two different tables.

Data not transfering from one form to another

I have designed two forms in which i want to transfer data from one form to another which contains lot of fields.Process starts wid filling the first form(form1) from the workspace and all the data from dat form will be transfered to next level user who is having form2.Both forms contains two pages each.I tried with the SETVALUE ACTIVITY after designing two forms but its showing error.

No am not using any xml schema .i have designed the two forms with the same fileds and field names.what cpould be the problem.After submitting the task from the start process it is going to the next user level but the form is getting added twice in the to do list of that user and data is not getting bound.If u want i can sned u my lca files or forms.

Hello all, I have been reading posts all day and have not come across the right solution. We have about 2,200 users in our site collection. I need to design a workflow that sends every one an email with a link to my blank form, then, once a week I
need the workflow to notify only those users who have not submitted the form. The part I am having trouble with is querying the users who have not submitted??? is there a way to use the form library data as a data connection and compare it to the data
in the UPS DB? that's really what I need to do, compare users who have submitted to all users.

I will suggest to create a timer job (which will run every week) and read library for all submitted form item's created by field and compare with data set which will come from UPS DB. Once these two set is ready,
use not in clause using LINQ to send email.

I have generated two square wave forms using NI-9221. These two Square waveforms are suppose to be 90 degrees electrical from one another.

I have two square wave forms from an encoder wheel. I can not seem to generate or calculate the phase of the waveforms. I have tried to extract the data but it is not accurate? I can not use a true false statement with the extracted data either. I have to have the one waveform 90 degrees electrical from the other waveform. Any Suggestions?

Fist thank you both for responding so quickly. I am using a half encoder wheel and the waveforms are certainly show the phases correctly. The operator of this program will not have access to the graph only the data and measurements collected. The reason I am trying to get the phase is because that is going to be a major factor in if the board passes or fails. I extracted the phases from the waveforms but it’s not accurate at all. I think I may try to trigger when to measure the wave and when to stop measuring. Is that Possible?

Hi Lena,
a very important thing to understand when working with Oracle APEX is that it is a Webbrowser-Application and behaves exactly like this. APEX just generates a HTML Page and lets the Browser deal with it.
When you press a submit button the whole page (all form input elements) are sent from the browser to the server where APEX processes them.
You can't really influence this behaviour.
But you can work with REQUEST-Keywords and conditional processes, so that only those processes are executed (and therefor save data) you want to.
Btw. the REQUEST Keyword is set by the button, there it is defined which REQUEST is set when submitting the page.

I have one requirement. I have created a form for Medruck and assigned it in nace tcode for purchase order. My requirement is if version number is ' 0 ' one page should be called and if version number is not zero another page layout should be called. I have created 2 different page layouts in my SAP Script i.e. one page named first layout and second named other layout. if version number is 0 first layout should be called and version number ne 0 other layout page should be called. Is it possible to do it? if so, how shall i do this...
