I can't believe it's taken me eight years to realize that a script can work with two simultaneous text selections into the same document.

I have 10 indd files and each file has one page and a table is only item present on page. So few files has table present in one table and few files has two text boxes because table has many rows so spiltted in two linked text boxes.
I somehow able to select both text boxes but while exporting them only one text box table get exported as png because of improper code.

Why when I downloaded two text alert /tones they do not show up in my text section

HI I downloaded form the store two text alerts, but on trying to find them under text alert section on my phone, I could not see them, it trurned out that they have been put into my music folder, and I cannot seem to be able to find them, to use them on the phone, I paid good money fore them, and at the minute they are useless.
I have an Iphone 3gs with software 5.01, and never done the text alert I used to the computer to down load them, expecting the itunes to put them in the correct place, on my phone.
I I have dropped a clange then I will know next time, but can anyone help me use the said downloads.

Select 'tones' under library on iTunes left Pane, do you see your text tones on the right Pane now?
If they are there, connect your iPhone to your computer, select your iPhone under 'Devices' on iTunes left Pane, then on the right Pane, select the TONES tab, check the text tones you want to transfer to your phone and click the SYNC button on the lower right window.

"resolving alias to" message using aliases on 10.6.8 plus slow text-selection behavior

Recently after no particular change to my Mac Pro3,2 running 10.6.8 other than some routine software updates, whenever I open an alias on my desktop to standard folders or files, a message shows up "Resolving alias to" whatever the alias name and there's a 2-3 second delay before the folder/file opens. I've found discussion of this issue in some archived discussions but never found a comfirmed solution described, so I'm raising this again. As in others' encounter with this behavior, the slow opening of aliases happens (1) only in my own user account, not in a guest account I set up for test purposes [I have no other user accounts than these], and (2) only happens the FIRST time I open an alias. Subsequent uses of the alias work normally.
Another strange but possibly related behavior that began at the same time as this alias delay is harder to describe but involves a problem when selecting text using mouse clicks or even highlighting with the mouse for editing. For example, to edit the name of a file or folder on my desktop, I would normally click on the file/folder name, pause a moment and click again: this puts me in edit mode with the current file/folder name highlighted/selected. Now when I attempt this procedure, the second time I click immediately opens the file/folder, as though I had double-clicked rather than clicked+paused+clicked. The only way I can select the name of the file/folder to edit it is to click+long pause (like 3 seconds)+click. Then the text is selected as desired. It's as though the clicks are being recognized (by whatever in the OS recognizes clicks) as much faster than actually made. There is a similar problem in any program I use that permits text editing, whether Word (Office 2011 for Mac), TextEdit, etc. I have to consciously slow down my cursor/click behavior when selecting text. If not, my actions are misinterpreted as double clicks. This text selection behavior also disappears when using a "Guest" user account, only appearing in my own user account. I Using a different mouse has no effect.
Steps taken so far. I've Repaired Disk Permissions and Verified Disk using Disk Utility, have Safe Booted, and have turned off all login items in my user account,and recently installed the 10.6.8 supplemental update, all to no avail. Any suggestions or has anyone had and solved this/these problems?

I think my problem has been that in Sytem Preferences>Mouse, my "Double-Click Speed" was set to the SLOWEST setting. After some experimentation, I now have the that setting two notches from the "Fast" end of the scale. In case it's important, the "Primary mouse button" in my Preferences is set to "Left".
This not only solves the text selection issues described, but also seems to eliminate the strange "resolving alias to" problem.
[For the curious, I have a Logitech Performance MX wireless mouse which can be configured with "Logitech Control Center". But the LCC software doesn't control double-click speed; this setting can only be made in the Mouse System Preference pane.]

How to focus two text boxes at a time?

The documentation is pretty clear on this: There can be only one
element on the whole desktop that has keyboard focus:

There is logical focus and there is keyboard focus. There can be multiple elements that have logical focus in an application but only a single element can have keyboard focus. Please refer to the link above for details.
If you want to highlight text in two different TextBoxes at the same time, you could replace the TextBox elements with RichTextBox elements, and set the background of a text range. Please refer to the following thread for more information about how you could
do this:

There is no way to achieve this by simply selecting text in two different TextBoxes and there is no way to set the background of a text range in a ordinary TextBox so you must use a RichTextBox here.

Text Selection Hangs Since iOS 5.1.1 Update

I have an iPhone 4 32GB on the AT&T network.
Updated it to iOS 5.1.1 about two weeks ago.
Since the update multiple applications (Apple and 3rd Party) have been showing this behavior:
1) Click in a text entry or text area form field,
2) Begin typing text,
3) Touch anywhere in the field to bring up the monicle selection caret,
4) The monical selection caret is shown and I can move the monical/caret around the screen,
5) Un-touch the screen,
6) ERROR - The monicle and the selection caret don't respond to user touch input and the app/OS hang for anywhere from 5 to 15 seconds,
7) The standard "Select | Select All | ..." context pop-up window is shown, after that the app/system are responsive again.
Regarding the ERROR at step 6) above: Clicking Home does nothing, turning on/off with top-button does nothing, force shutdown responds only after the monicle/caret selector un-hangs.
Once this has happened in a given text field/text area, it doesn't happen again on a subsequent text selection touch event... UNLESS I sleep the device, wake the device on the same app/field and try to select again... then it hangs again.
To note, while it's hanging the loading-spinner is displayed in the title bar next to the AT&T 3G/Wifi Antenna icons, suggesting something in the background is doing a network search that's locking then entire foreground process.
I've attempted to:
1) hard reset the device,
2) restore from a backup of 5.1 (doesn't have the aforementioned problem) and reinstall the 5.1.1 update (has the problem)
3) swear at it and curse Steve Job's mock-turtleneck for allowing such a peice of **** bug to exist (even if it's not his fault ex post homine)
Any further help would be great... I may end up downgrading to 5.1 just to not have to deal with this perpetual headache.

I'm having the same issue. Phone started to degrade after update to 5.1.1 I have restarted, reset and restored from backup. I haven't tried to restore as new, as I'm not sure what the impact will be in my need to reset my corporate exchange e-mail, etc.
I see from many posts on other boards this is not isolated and is impacting many users. I'm using verizon as a the cell carrier.
My phone is warm and eating battery at a rate of 10% per half an hour in standby mode. No new apps or anything else of that nature.

I have two seperate bits of text in a particular section of video. If I select the two text objects and drag the end left or right it only moves one. I I want to be able to drag the end of multiple things at the same time.

Merge two text overlay layers without losing effect?

I'm using PS CS4 and I have two text layers on top of each other (they same the same thing) and the layer style for both is set for "overlay". I want to merge (and rasterize) the two layers but keep the look of the doubled up overlay effect.
Can this be done??

So if both are set to overlay, then that means they both depend on the pixels below them for the effect. So you have a choice to make.
1) You can leave them as is (which would be preferable in my mind). Why do you need to merge them?
2) You can select the transparency of one of the type layers (command-click on the layer icon in the layer panel), and then copy merged and paste. This should give you the layer you desire. I'd save the old layers for later, just in case.
3) Something I haven't thought of.

I have sent two texts from abroad and all since have failed. Why?

The first two texts I sent from corfu went ok. All subsequent have failed. Why ? The numbers are in international format

Have you tried doing a manual network selection in settings and choosing a different network?
It may be there is an issue with the network your connected to.
Or sometimes just a simple reboot of your device can help!

How to link two text boxes so that text flows from one to the other.

In Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, I have managed to link two text boxes with JavaScript.
I have deselected the "scroll long text" and selected auto text size.
I have entered the script into the "custom keystroke script"

Now my problem is this works for IE but I can't get it to work with adobe reader or pdf expert on iPad.
I need my forms to work with both, windows & ios.

iOS and android devices are not a powerful as your desktop of laptop computer and have limited support for JavaScript within PDF forms. This limitation for specific apps ranges from none to quite a bit but not all JavaScript.

Problems when I have tried execute two consecutive selects

Hi,
I am trying to execute two consecutive selects, when the second sql has been executed, it response "Operation failure of ado2xfa. Imposible find the element in the colection that corresponds with the name" (I have translated the message).
The error happens when I execute the second DB.open
In the data conection I have selected "text" in the commandType with "select * from t1"
First I tried to execute both sqls but, if I try to execute just the "select * from t2" in the first sql command I obtain the same error.
In the data view I have just one db connection linked with table T1, do I need to create one db connection per table?
For example if I want to connect with 6 different tables I will need 6 different DB connection objects.
Somebody know what is the problem?

It's because the data connection has been set up to expect the fields returned from T1. When you query T2 different fields are returned and it doesn't know what to do with them so it throws an error. You would need to 2 data connections, 1 for T1 and 1 for T2.

CSS coders: Safari text selection

Hi,
Safari seems to handle Text selection differently then every other browser. Every other browser just selects the text. By that, I mean that the highlighting only covers the text, and nothing else.
In Safari, however, often the text is highlighted and everything to the left and right of it as well! But this does not happen in all pages though.
Here are two examples:

Notice that in the first page, if you select and highlight text, it gets highlighted "correctly". However in the second page, the highlighting covers ALL THE horizontal area!
Can someone tell me the difference in these pages? What is the difference between the HTML/CSS code in (1) and (2)?
Let's say I had a page like (2), and I wanted to fix it to make it highlight correctly, what exactly would I need to do?
I've tried reading the code, but I've not found what does the trick. Any CSS/HTML coder out there who knows?

Less-mouse and text selection

I needed to scroll man pages with a mouse so I compiled the less-mouse from the AUR .
Unfortunately the ability to use mouse for text selection is now lost (comparing to regular 'less'). In regular less left-button-drag selects stream of text and ctrl-left-button-drag selects a block of text.
I tried to look closely at the patch to try to filter back in the text selection but my knowledge of C just isn't up to it.
Mouse clicks in less-mouse are putting escape sequences in the status line. To get rid of those I managed to add two lines in decode.c, so that the program now processes only wheel events:

Vimpager allows scrolling man pages with the mouse (its in the repos ( community/vimpager )). Install it and add this to your .zshrc (or .bashrc if you use bash):

Need your help with merging two text source files into single table. Each text file is single column containing names. Let's say that file one is list of members in DEPARTMENT A and second file members of DEPARTMENT B. Text files look

I think the solution involves derived columns, pivot, coalesce, but can't figure out how to put them together. What do you recommend? Thanks.

You need a data flow task
Inside that have two flat file sources connecting to both files. Following that have a derived column task to add department information (A,B). use a union all transform to merge both the inputs and finally use OLEDB destination to dump the result into table
with two columns Name and Department.
Then add a execute sql task to do update as below
UPDATE t
SET Department = Department + ', B'
FROM Table t
WHERE Department = 'A'
AND EXISTS (SELECT 1
FROM Table
WHERE Name = t.Name
AND Department = 'B'
DELETE t
FROM Table t
WHERE Department = 'B'
AND EXISTS (SELECT 1
FROM Table
WHERE Name = t.Name
AND Department = 'A, B'
