I have objects tables TObjTable and TRefTable
create type TParent as object (c_name varchar2(30)) not final
create table TObjTable of TParent
create type TRef as object (c_code varchar2(30)) not final
create table TRefTable of TRef
constraint Pk_Ref primary key (c_code)
object identifier is primary key
Then, I create type TChild under TParent
create type TChild under TParent (c_ref ref TRef)
The attribure "c_ref" should refer to the object table TRefTable.
How I can specify foreign key for new column "c_ref" on table
TObjTable?

Assume, that you have new column "c_new" on type t2.
I think, you can treat values of table t as type t2:
create index Idx on t p (treat(value(p) as t2).c_new)

Types of tables for databases

I'm making a table for a recordset which is ultimately for a
Log In User behavior. What do i need to do with my table values to
properly create a website that users can log into and have
information that they can alter to make their profiles personal.
(think like a forum or like youtube). and also work so that users
can upload images and that a moderator (me) can monitor them.
My knowledge of how databases work is extremely limited, so
any help is appreciated but don't be surprised if I dont fully
understand what you are saying. I have, however had experience with
Dreamweaver and am running a website through my school.

You are embarking on a somewhat complex journey. One of the
most common problems we see here are from developers that are
building dynamic websites without a solid understanding of database
design. The result is usually a flawed design and they then have
the perpetual job of creating kludges to make it run.
So it's good that you asked the question but it can't really
be answered here in a single post. The best thing I can suggest is
that before you start building you get a good book on database
design fundamentals and study it for at least a few months. Then
make sure you start with a reasonable technical requirements and
design document. The extra work you put up front will pay off in
the long run.

Which order type gets collected and is used for forecast consumption

Hi all,
I would like to know which Order Types (transaction types) get collected into ASCP (appear as demand) and which Order Types are used for forecast consumption.
I tried to find something in the user guides, but had not yet success :(
What I want to do:
1. decide which order types are collected or not
2. decide which order types consume forecast or not

Hi,
Rather speaking like Order types, we may use word Sales Order. ASCP will collect all the Sales Orders for which we need to intiate action for Supplies. How it is determined?. It is determined from SO lines where in we have So lines are scheduled(it is prt of Workflow action too) and It is flaged 'Yes' for "Visible Demand Flag" . This is what designed functionality. We do not care what type of order type it is.

You can get that in R/3, T-Code: BW07 & BW09 and generate heirarchy datasource in /nBW10.

Multivalued Hierarchy Tables

Is it logical to use Multivalued Hierarchy tables for assignment expression?
I am able to execute assignment expressions for Hierarchy table(normal),but not able to use Hierarchy table multivalued.
If possible, can anybody give me some examples.

Its an interesting issue, i have experimented a lot but found nothing on it.
as per my knowledge assignment on multivalued hierarchies does not mean anything.
Lets hope something from SAP MDM experts.

SEM-BPS: Variables of type hierarchy node user exit

Hi,
I read the "How to.." document "Variables of Type Exit".
This document has example for variable type caracteristic.
I need to use this kind of solution for global variables:
I have the same variables in several planning areas. I have defined one leading area containing the variable that should automatically set/adjust the corresponding variables in the other planning areas.
I've created a SEM variable of type hierarchy node and with the replacement type user exit. There is a standard function module API_SEMBPS_VARIABLE_GETDETAIL which has to provide the selected hierarchy node in leading area to other areas.
The function works ideally in test mode, but it doesn't work as the SEM user exit.
Does anyone have experience in this problem?

Your function module shall follow the expected interface (required for exit type). Function API_SEMBPS_VARIABLE_GETDETAIL is not for such usage.
To see an example FM that is fit for a 'user exit' processing for hierarchy node, have a look at FM UPF_VARIABLE_USER_EXIT_HIER. There is inline documentation in the source code that shall help you create your own FM if required.

Content type, list definition and List instance - query

Dear all,
I created a list content type, list definition and list instance for a SessionsList.
I did mistake when created a event receiver file where field name is RegistrationsInfo - did typo error as RegistrationInfo. This field I want to make it as false in the ShowInNewForm= false
When I deploy it with event receiver file - I am getting stack trace error stating that the RegistrationsInfo field is missing.
Without event receiver file - when I deploy the solution and checked the field name - it is showing rightly as RegistrationsInfo.

Can somebody help me - how to overcome the RegistrationsInfo missing field - error(in the stack trace) when activating the feature in the training site?

Hi Sathya,
Seems the field “RegistrationsInfo” is not been found when deploying with Event Receiver, a possible reason is that it might be damaged.
As a workaround, I suggest you retract the solution from your farm, make sure the “RegistrationsInfo” field is deleted using PowerShell, then create another project with the same
content and perform the deployment again.

For batch class the class type value is '023' . This you can find from KLAH table and the fileld for class type is KLART..
And also all the data related to batch class are found in tables INOB, KLAH,KKSK and for the characeteristics of batch materials you can refer AUSP table.
In INOB table, for batch class, you need to give 023 in KLART field and value MCH1 in OBTAB filed.
Please check this and let me know if this you need any more details?

SAP Report Painter - SAP tables for report items and hierarchy

We have to show the batch data after GR is done with respect to different movement types. I got a table CHVW which gives the data for batch , movement type ,material and quantity.But data for 302 and 541 movement types is not updating in this table.Is there any other table for these two movements?Please suggest.

Partitioned IOT of Object Type - mapping table not allowed for bitmap index

looks like a feature available for standard Partitioned IOTs is not supported for object based tables, namely the MAPPING TABLE construct to support secondary local bitmap indexes.
Can you confirm behaviour is as expected/documented?
If so, is a fix/enhancement to support mapping table for object-based Partitioned IOTs in the pipeline?
Results for partition-wise load using pipelined table function are very good, look-ups across tens of millions of rows are excellent.

6) Re-running the create table statement in step 5 without the MAPPING TABLE clause works fine. Not surprisingly an attempt to create a secondary local bitmap index on this table fails as there's no mapping table, like so...

the intention is to range partition based on the initial character, so A* -> Text_Part_A, B* -> Text_Part_B, and so on.
Here's an example, using an empty IOTObj_Table as created previously.
1) Set up & confirm some test data (two 'D's, one 'N', and two 'Z's)
SQL> INSERT INTO IOTObj_Table VALUES (IOT_Type('DEF456',500));
SQL> INSERT INTO IOTObj_Table VALUES (IOT_Type('DDD111',510));
SQL> INSERT INTO IOTObj_Table VALUES (IOT_Type('N3000',515));
SQL> INSERT INTO IOTObj_Table VALUES (IOT_Type('ZZ1212',520));
SQL> INSERT INTO IOTObj_Table VALUES (IOT_Type('Z111X',530));
SQL> COMMIT;
SQL> SELECT * FROM IOTObj_Table;

2) Just to prove our IOT is enforcing the Primary Key based on the TextData attribute, try to insert a duplicate
