Type pool program??

Hi all,
I want to write a type pool program.. but i could not see type pool in the pull down menu when you create a program from se38.. there was program types: 1, f, i, j, k, m, s but nothing for type pool. Please give me steps for creating one and also one example of such program by sap.

u can create type pool in se11 not se38....
but use it in se38....
in se11 u find 'type group'......give a name and create...
for reference...u check SLIS type group....which we generally use in ALV...
type pool or group and is nothing more than a collection of TYPE statements. When you use the TYPE-POOLS: statement in your program, and name the type group , this gives you access to these TYPES so that you can use them in your DATA statements.

I have created a z-table which is used in Module Pool Program in which i have to save the information saved by the endusers in z-table. But the problem comming is that the amount of information saved by the endusers is so havey & our table is just limited for the 50 characters which is not sufficiet. So I urge you to please tell me what & which type of data type should I have to use to store maximum amount of information in our zt-able which is available in SAP ECC6.0.

u can resolve ur problem in following ways,
1. You can declare the field in a table without an Data element.
i.e. In the length field . using F4 help in length field how many characters u want u enter.
2. In the same u can search for an standard data element and use the same.
3. Creating an custom data element .

I want to delete the row after the display of table control. I have created push button as delete row. If I click on this push button, the selected row should get deleted.
I have written this code,

How to call a "Z"module pool program in a "z"report

Hi Guys,
I have two reports .
1. Report : uploads a tab delimited " .Txt1" file and update the "z1" table
 ".TXT1" : File contains 4 fields
2. Module pool. :Uploads a a tab delimited " .Txt2" file and update another "z2" table
 ".TXT2" file contains the 4 fileds of ".TXT1" and also 2 extra fields.
I want to merge (call) the module pool program in the Report and perform the upload function using only one ".TXT" file.Please do guide me precisely .

 Use SUBMIT statement in your first Report zrswbgcs009 at the end, to call the Modulepool program zrswbp004.
do a search in SDN you will get lot of threads on SUBMIT statement with selection screen.

Need help in module Pool programming.

I'm stuck in a step of Module Pool program
Steps i used for enhancement in XK01.
1) i appended a structure in table LFA1 having two fields A and B.
2) then i went to IMG-> Logistic -> Business Partner-> Vendor -> Adoption of Customer's Own Master Data Fields -> Prepare     Modification-Free Enhancement of Vendor Master Record ( Here i created my screen group Z1 without Function Code.
3) then i created below module pool program. of screen 9999 and in layout i added to fields to display A and B which i appended.
PROGRAM ZSNAK_XK01.

'Subscreen' determines the use of the screen. If a normal screen is used
   as subscreen or vice versa, an error occurs.
The screen "ZSNAK_XK01" 9999 has, in this respect, an inappropriate screen
   type.

Use addition STARTING AT to open a new popup level and to display all screens of the called dynpro sequence in a modal dialog window. The upper left corner of the dialog window is determined by the values col1 and lin1 for column and line. The values refer to the window with popup level 0. The lower right corner is set automatically or you can use col2 and lin2 to specify it after ENDING AT. For col1, lin1, col2 and lin2, data objects of type i are expected. The values of col1, lin1 should be smaller than those of col2, lin2, because otherwise the behavior is undefined. The maximum popup level is 9.

in module pool program after enabling a field if the user enters an invalid value iam giving a error message.
message 'something' type 's' display like 'E'.
then again it should go to the previous screen where the user enters the value for that enabled filed.

I have created 1 module pool program with screen no. 0100. But the statement CALL SCREEN 0100 is not getting executing its showing error i.e ' statement cannot be accessable' even i have created and activated the sceen 0100.

Hi kiran,
Open you program in se38 menu bar -> GOTO -> ATTRIBUTES and check wheather it is executable program or module pool program.
if it is exeutable program then u can call the screen 0100 as ur intial screen. if not ur given type as module pool then u have to create a transaction in SE93 and give the screen name in that and prgoram name then it will display the screen which u hv created .
if you want to show the screen 0100 as ur initial sceen in module pool program without using transaction it is not possible so use either executable program and use the stament call screen 0100.

I have an Input/Output field for that i need to give f4 help, based on that field the related data should sit in to my table control. The thing is there is no relation between the input/output field and the table control fields.

How can we define Selection screen in type m program?

Hi Anil ,
Type M are module pool programs.
For these you have to create you screen and then determine their flow in your program.
These are executed by transactions.
Search tutorials on module pool program .

Creating module pool programming in abap objects

I just wanted to know how u create a give modulepool programming in classes and objects.Could anyone tell me the procedure how to do so.And i knew that module pool programming has become obsolete and now everyone are using object oriented concept in module pool programming.soo i want why r they using soo and what is the drawback in using the module pool programming instead of oops concepts.Could anyone give me the clear explanation..

You can create module pool program for both ABAP and ABAP OO(Object Oriented).
The thing is in OO u have to declare classes,objects and methods.
Procedure oriented approach
1. Emphasis on tasks
2. Large programs are divided into smaller programs known as functions
3. Most of the functions share global data
4. Data move openly around the system from function to function
Object oriented approach
Emphasis on things that does those tasks
Programs are divided into objects
3. Data structures are designed such that they characterized the objects
4. Functions that operate on the data of an object are tied together in the data structure
5. Data can be hidden and cannot be accessed by external functions
6. New data and functions can be easily added whenever necessary
Go to SE80 ---> Select Program ---> Give ur program name and type this code below :-
REPORT YSUBDEL LINE-SIZE 120.
