Typed words in pdf doc don't print

I have a paper copy of a form that needed to be filled out so
I scanned the document to a pdf file, typed in the file (I have
adobe writer) and when I printed it, the typed words don't print.
Does anybody know why that would happen? I entered the words by
using "FreeTextTool" just like I always do. Thanks in
advance.

  • Why am I having conversion errors from Word to PDF using the CreatePDF printer?

I just subscribed to PDF Pack. I downloaded and installed the Adobe CreatePDF printer under Administrator. When I print a Word document, I select the CreatePDF Printer and it appears to work. However, when I open the CreatePDF queue, the document is in the queue flagged with an Error but no error message. The document never appears in my file list at the PDF Pack service site when I login. What's going on?

    HI,
Please restart your Windows then try to print your file to CreatePDF Desktop printer.  If you still see the same error in Status please let me know what OS you are using with the printer.
If your system is Win 7 SP1 then please see about a hotfix to update inetpp.dll file.
    For the hotfix :http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat-com/kb/createpdf-desktop-printer-windows-7.html.
If Adobe PS pringer driver is not yet installed on your system then see below:
    1. Open Start menu > Devices and Printer ( or from control panel) and select "Add a printer"
    2. Select "Add a local printer"
    3. Select "Use an existing port: LPT1: (Printer port)
    4. Select any company and any PS printer with Adobe PS printer driver(not clone) such as Xerox and Xerox Phasor 6120PS
Note:If you have Win 7 on 64 bit PC, Adobe PS printer drivers(PSCRIPT5.DLL and a few other files) are installed at C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3 folder

  • Some Adobe PDF documents don't print from Adobe Reader; with other software it works correctly

    Dear community,
I'm facing the problem that some Adobe PDF documents with lots of colors and lines (size less than 3 MB) don't print on our printers from Adobe Reader XI.
The same files when opened with PDF XChange or PDF Architect are printed out without problems.
How can I provide an Adobe Reader that is able to do so? Any recommendations about solving the issue are very appreciated.
    Best regards
    Christian

Word document problem fixed at the moment by deleting and adding the Lexmark printer again.

  • Editing typing on online pdf doc

which adobe product will allow editing a pdf doc online

    Hi Jon,
You can use Adobe Reader to fill in a PDF form (that's been properly enabled with form fields) or with the typewriter tool.
To actually edit a PDF file, you'll need Adobe Acrobat: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html
There is no service that allows you to 'edit a pdf doc online'.
    Thanks,

  • Inserting excel doc into word or pdf doc

I'm putting together a business proposal. I'm writing it in word and will then save it as a pdf so that I can email it and not lose changes.
I have two excel documents that fall in the middle of the master document.
Any suggestions on how to make these excel docs a part of the master pdf document so that readers can look at the content seemlessly? I want to be able to include them in my table of contents and have them be found in the correct order instead of emailing separate attachments that the reader would have to put together.
I've tried turning the excel doc into a pdf and inserting that, but the excel doc has multiple pages and needs to be oriented in a landscape way (vs. the rest of the doc which is portrait). Also, when I insert the excel doc as an object (following the help from Microsoft office) I can't properly rotate or size the object.
I hope others have had the same challenge and have a quick solution.
    Thanks for the help!

I was trying to find the appropriate place and these had the closest subjects I could find. Can you tell me where I SHOULD be posting this?
Usually the best place to start is the web site of the company that makes the software. Most will have forums like Microsoft's newgroups.
There are also forums not tied to any specific company such as MacRumors forums.

  • Print transparent object in Word to pdf and then to printer ugly.

    Dear All,
I have a Word document in which I have a bitmap figure. Over this bitmap I have drawn a green 50% transparent rectangle. When printing this directly from Word to the printer everything is fine, if I print it first to a pdf using Acrobat I get a pdf that looks allright (the transparency is simulated by a very fine checker board pattern) but when I then print this pdf to my printer I get interference in the transparent region, which makes this unusable. My guess is that the printer is trying to print this fine pattern and fails. The solution would be that when printing to a pdf the pdf should contain a transparent rectange instead of a checker board pattern.
Is there anybody with the same problem or someone who knows how to solve this? Any help is appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Vincent

    Problem solved!!
Besides the large bitmap I also had an Excel graph pasted into my Word document. This also gave problems. The solution was to shrink the size of the bitmap by first croping it and that pasting it into the Word document, and the graph from Excel has the be pasted as Windows metafile picture. Then using the PDF button in Word creates a pdf with the correct transparency objects. I cannot print the pdf right now because my printer is down but I have no doubt it will work.
    Thanks a lot!!

  • Black box or line appears in New Message when forwarding MS Word or PDF doc

    Strange thing...
Ever since I formatted and rebuilt my iMac and MacBook Pro last week with Snow Leopard, Mac Mail is acting funny. When I forward a document from MS Word or Acrobat Reader, I get a large black box or black line in the New Message line which wipes out my signature. I have a screen shot but I don't see a way to post it with my inquiry.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.
    Darin

I am experiencing the same problem. It does not happen when I drag a PDF from Finder into a new Mail message. It does happen, though, when I try to "Mail Selected PDF Document" from Preview. The problem didn't start until I installed Safari 5.
My workaround for right now when I see the black box in Mail is to: select all, cut, hit delete (this gets rid of the last strip of black), then paste. This re-places the PDF without any kind of black box.
Fingers are crossed that this gets fixed sooner rather than later....

    Hi beldon,
If you used the ExportPDF service to convert your PDF file to a Word doc, you can find it in your online account. Log in to https://cloud.acrobat.com using your Adobe ID and password, and click the Files tab. If you'd like to download the converted file, select it and click the download icon.
Please let us know how to goes.

  • Printing of Excel graph in Word to pdf file gives scrambled graph.

    Dear All,
This question is related to my other (solved) question of today: "Print transparent object in Word to pdf and then to printer ugly.". I didn't know how to reopen a question.
The problem I have is that I pasted a graph from excel into word. When printing to a printer of pdf file all is ok, but when I use the PDF button in word I have get a scrambled graph with the graph line zigzagging all over the place of the graph. When pasting the graph as bitmap it have very poor resolution. Any ideas on how to solve this?
    Thanks,
    Vincent

There may also be an issue with OFFICE 2007. I have been very disappointed in OFFICE 2007 and really prefer OFFICE 2003, not that I really use OFFICE much anyway. I know that WORD 2007 caused a lot of problems with graphics in conversion to PDF. The add-on from MS solves that problem, but creates other problems. In WORD I have seen a beautiful sunset be split into parts when WORD sent it to Acrobat and when viewed closely there were small lines at the segment boundaries. This did not happen with OFFICE 2003. As I have mentioned in other posts, it is almost as though MS purposely screwed up the output when it sees an Adobe product. I suspect if you try Excel 2003 (if available), the problem will not occur, even with the same version of Acrobat. That suggests WORD is doing something strange.
I have also found difference in printing to the Adobe PDF printer and using PDF Maker with AA9 and OFFICE 2007. With AA9, Adobe changed the process and PDF Maker no longer uses the printer as I have been told. Thus trying both methods may indicate differences. Too bad that the attachments feature was deactivated for security reasons. Maybe it will come back some day.
I have the same Excel version as you, but AA9.3.3. It may be the AA version that is part of the problem, but I also suspect a problem with MS. Bill

  • Best solutions for storing text, Word and pdf documents on iPad

I just switched from using a powerbook to an iPad + microkeyboard for my work computer (I'm freelance and need to bring my own device wherever I go), and I love the size and weight of it compared to a laptop.
What I am glitching on is the fact that I cannot save documents to my ipad. Clients email Word and PDF docs to me, and I have (very few of) my own docs, such as resumes, which I need to update slightly and send out to them as well. It's not ideal when I need to send out a resume to dig through my Sent folder on Mail and forward it, creating a new email but just saving the attachment. I also need to access certain received documents repeatedly as reference. I'm surprised iOS for iPad doesn't have a "Documents" folder as OS X does.
How are users working around this problem currently? Please give me suggestions for solutions. I'm hopeful that future iterations of iOS will provide a way to store and access a personal library of documents as it does photos and videos, so I will commit to working through this in the short term. What are your work arounds?
    T

I doubt iOS will ever change. iOS does not have a file manager system like you're used to on a laptop or desktop, so it lacks the ability to access files like you're used to. So whatever workarounds you find will likely become your regular work flow. If Apple hasn't added a file manager to iOS in the past 5 (give or take) years it's doubtful they'll do so in the future...the lack of a file manager is why the iOS operating system is so secure, viruses can't infect and use a file manager system to spread if they don't have one.)
iOS ties the access to files to the apps that access them. As you said, photos with the photos app, music with the music app. With your purchase of a new iOS device you are eligible for free Apple apps, amongst them Pages and Numbers, Apple's word processing and version of excel.. You can store your documents in that app and access them that way. Or there are tons of other word processing apps. I use Documents to Go (although it's not free so you may wish to  experiment with the free apps first before  you start paying)
File transfer....well Apple's work flow is that everyone has access to always on and always available internet, thus their workflow being built around the cloud and using the internet for file transfer, as well as e-mailing stuff to yourself. There are some flash drives out there that have their own wifi transmitter that may help you. You'd plug them into another computer, put the file on it, turn on the wifi transmitter and use a small localized hotspot to connect your ipad to and download the files to your iPad via an app that will come with the flash drive.

  • Storing MS-Word and PDF documents in database uploaded through APEX

I want to allow users to upload MS-Word and PDF documents they have created / edited outside of the APEX app for storage in the database along with the other app data.
I know that I should use a file browse item in a region for this purpose.
    I have a some questions:
    1. What database datatype is best for storing MS-Word and PDF docs? CLOB?
    2. How can the user see that the file has been uploaded? In other words, how can they see that the filename has been uploaded? I want to show this on the page for later viewing. I have uploaded a document, but later, I have no way to see that the document has in fact been uploaded. From the APEX page, the file browse item does not indicate whether or not a file has previously been uploaded.
    3. How can the user download the previously uploaded document?
    4. Is there a way to give users the capability to edit a document in an APEX app where they can do MS-Word-like editing (font size, font type, bold, italics, etc.)?
I know I've asked a lot here and I appreciate your input.

GRANT EXECUTE ON DISPLAY_IMAGE TO PUBLICThis doesn't create an editor inside the browser, it just creates a simple upload/display process. For a WYSIWYG editor that handles PDF or Docs, you'll need something far more sophisticated, and I can't suggest anything there.

Check to see that the file has the .PDF extension. Also, check that the filename does not have any special characters such as an ampersand (“&”).
Regarding your measurements set to centimeters rather than inches; is it just in MS Word?
Or does it occur in all other applications.
    Check your Work preferences first:
