UC520 behind an SA540

I recently installed a SA540 in front of my UC520. The SA540 is handling the internet facing traffic. The SA is using two interfaces WAN (public IP) and LAN (192.168.75.0/24)
I was able to get the UC520 working and clients are able to connect through to the internet, etc. Clients on the UC are either data (192.168.10.0/24) or voice 10.x.x.x
One of the reasons I choose to install an SA540 was for the firewall rules. When I create a rule I can enter an IP from the UC range but the SA540 does not seem to apply the rules to the traffic. The firewall rule creation only allows FROM: SECURE LAN to WAN or the other way around.
I am assuming the traffic is not being seen properly as the SA540 facing interface from the UC has a 192.168.75.10 address. If I setup a rule to block the MAC on this interface it blocks all traffic.
My question is how do I add the 192.168.10.0 range into the SA54's secure LAN zone so that traffic is affected by rules I create.

I am trying to create scheduled based internet access rules based on source IP and or MAC address.
FW disabled on UC
Nat disabled on UC
static IP assigned to UC WAN interface (192.168.75.10) - that IP is part of the SA540 LAN range (192.168.75.0)
Latest version of SA540 firmware 1.0.39
The SA540 interface for creating rules seems very straight forward. I created a schedule and then created a rule based on that schedule. I also just tried BLOCK without using schedule but any users on the UC LAN range (192.168.10.0) do not seem to be affected by the rules I create on the SA540 even though I specifically define their IP. I also tried MAC filtering but that only works if I filter the MAC address of the UC which effectively blocks everyone on the UC side.
I do have static routes defined on the SA to LAN IP addresses on the UC. Without doing that traffic would not flow. I would prefer to define the network instead of the individual IP addresses but I do not see how that can be done.

SA540, two ISPs, not stable. Help required

Hello everyone, I'm having serious issues with this device. We count with two units, one of them is meant to replace an RV016 router in our main building...
The problem is: The Internet access (web browsing, ICMP, etc) is intermittent or not working at all when using SA540 devices.
- One ISP provides a dynamically assigned IP address, the other one provides quite a few static IP Addresses.
- For early minutes after a power cycle, the Internet access seems to work fine. Slow, with hiccups (random packet loss); but it works.
- After ~3 minutes, ping start showing timeouts and the web browsing stop working.
Once this state was reached, the next tests were performed:
- Disconnect one ISP and check behavior. Repeat with the other ISP.
- One ISP was connected to an intermediate 10/100/1000 switch before reaching the WAN port (Check this post:

Thanks for laying out the sketch. That helped to understand what you've done to date. Based on it working behind the RV016, this leads me to believe that there is configuration in the RV that isn't present in the SA. Is it possible that one or both of your ISPs do MAC Address filtering and the MAC of the RV is currently configured in their system(s). Obviously you could call them to find out. Alternatively, you can use the MAC Address Source drop down under Networking -> WAN -> IPv4 Config. You can change it to "Use the following MAC Address" and input the appropriate RV MAC Addresses in the appropriate WAN interfaces and then test. If that doesn't fix it, I would recommend checking all your settings again to ensure you have everything set correctly compared to the RV.

Uc520 - outbound calls take a long time

hi,
got my uc520 working, inbound calls work rigth away but outbound calls take a long time...
so when I run any sort of debug on my uc520, I dial a number let's say 9 555 555 5555 it will take about 15 seconds before anything shows up in my debugs.
so it does work but calling out not sure what happens takes a long time.
this is all with a sip provider.
I know it,s not the sip provider because as I said before any debug information is showed on my console between me dialing the number and hitting DIAL and the time anything shows up it takes about 15 seconds.
ideas?

so here is the test I did today,
my UC520 at home is behind my isp's (linksys type device) so my uc520 gets a 192.168.x.x
so behind my own isp it takes a good 20 seconds before the phone I'm calling rings.
I took my device and put it in my dad's house where my uc520 gets the public ip, dhcp but still I get the public ip.
it takes about 5 seconds which is normal.
any idea why in my house before any debug starts showing up in my terminal why it takes about 15...20 seconds and when the uc has the public ip it takes about 3 to 5 seconds?
I just run
debug ccsip messages.
my dad,s internet I get the public ip it after 3 seconds debug information shows up.
on my internet it takes about 20 seconds before any debug information shows up and my uc gets a 192.168.x.x from the providers modem/router device.

ASA5505 and SA540

kindly find the attached file . i have many question about figure
1- first , can i configure ASA5505 ans SA540 as shown in figure ?
2- if question 1 yes , HOW ?
3 - can each firewall make PAT for local network to real ip and in the same time just make routing for voice server with real ip to access internet ?
4 - can i make VPN tunnel between two firewall without any conflict happen to server Voice ?
if first question no , is there any other way to asign real ip to sever voice behind firewall ?

Suggestion: Make sure you reboot your RV when you think it should be working and everything matches.
Wasted an hour on my RV320 the other night because it had hung up somehow. Changes were not taking effect and a reboot fixed it.

Hub and Spoke between SA540 and RV120

Hello.
I want to build a "hub and spoke" topology for one of my clients.
For the "HUB" , I'm planning to use an SA540, with a static public IP provided by a 4Mb SDSL.
For the "spokes" (21 at the moment), I'm planning to use RV120. They will be behind a NAT, provided by a "SAGEM LIVEBOX", and a static public IP.
The boss will connect to the HUB using Cisco VPN client, or quickVPN, and get access to all the spokes.
Some spokes will have to connect to each other, via the HUB.
I searched a long time on this forum and reading documentation, but I didn't find at the moment the answer to my question : is this topology suitable with the choosen hardwares ?

I would contact someone with the enterprise group with the questions on which enterprise router to use with your topology; I would expect a Cisco ASA5505 or ASA5510 with proper licensing would accomplish this at main office and cisco 800 series at remote offices. For your spokes(remote offices) the RV120 or RVS4000 should work fine if you are trying to route traffic from remote office to main office only. If you are looking to route traffic from remote office to main office then to another remote office. You would need to go all enterprise small business devices. In our small business routers we can’t specify to route traffic to another subnet across the IPSec tunnel. When we make the IPSec tunnel it creates the routes in routing table to the remote host. So we can only route traffic to directly connect IPSec tunnel host. If you need further clarification you can give us a call.

Use of QuickVPN to access network behind a RV042

Hello,
I have a RV042, and all incoming WAN requests are forwarded to a network located behind the RV042.
Internal IP range of the RV042 is 192.168.0.x (RV042 IP is 192.168.0.1, and everything is forwarded to SG300 L3 with IP 192.168.0.2), and some networks 10.0.x.x can be reached via the SG300 L3.
This works fine.
And from the "Diagnostic tool" of the RV042, I can ping all devices in network 10.0.x.x.
I can connect to the RV042 using QuickVPN.
I can ping the 192.168.0.2 interface of the SG300, but... I cannot reach the networks located behind the SG300.
How can I reach the servers located behind the RV042, in network 10.0.x.x ?

that depends on the actual application you entered. the application is also an open entry and you could create your own application and then enter additional parameters if needed

Images Behind Text in RTF Template

While creating a few rtf templates, I noticed that if an image is to be shown behind text then the image will not render to back to .rtf by bi pub.
If I put the image inline with text, it renders just fine.
Am I missing a step that would allow me to render the image behind text or is it just working as intended?

How to change Script path for Reserved.ReportViewerWebControl.axd when working behind reverse proxy?

Hi,
My application works behind a reverse proxy which has polices for secure and unsecure areas of the application. Architecture and Infra team is not willing to allow any root level policies in any case
When report viewer control is rendered on the page, it is adding a reference to the http handler Reserved.ReportViewerWebControl.axd in the script tag and the URL is at the root level. Unfortunately like other AjaxControlToolkit web resources I cannot modify
the URL to refer to the local script using ScriptManager.
Do we have any other property / means by which I can get this altered.
It is so unfortunate that the Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms assembly resources like scripts etc are not exposed as webresource at the assembly level and there is no way to modify this.
Does anyone has any solution to this?

Connection Problem while client is behind proxy and server out side proxy

i implemented ChatApplication in JAVA, for that i used socket connection when client and server both are in same network then it's working fine.
but when my server is on internate and client is behind proxy and try to connect with server
it not able to connect i get exception.

How do I add an image next to a hyperlink in code behind?

I am trying to dynamically display hyperlinks in a div, and I am also trying to add an image to appear right next to each hyperlink. My code is able to add the hyperlinks to the div's but I can't figure out how to add an image to appear next to each hyperlink.
I am not pretty good at doing this in the code behind, which is what the requirements demand. Can anyone please point me in the right direction? I am basically trying to add an image right next to each hyperlink as they are dynamically created. Here is what

Remote App, Printer properties opens behind redirect dialog box

We noticed an issue in July 2013 with all redirect printers using RemoteApps on Server 2008R2.
When you clicl on File>Print and sleclt properties, the dialog box is opening behind the Windows windows telling you the printer has been redirectd by RDC. You can see the Printer Preferences and the only way to bring the window the front is
to click on the Window Title bar of the window.
I've seen others posting the same issue, but I haven't seen a resolution.

I had the same problem in both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.
I downloaded the fix KB3036965
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3036965
and installed it on 2 test pc who had the problem. After I Installed the hotfix I worked.
But as Shimon Adimor say’s it is very annoying with the dialog box that appears, that informs you that the printer has been redirected. The KB3036965
does not fix this dialog. So if there is some solution to disable this dialog box it would be nice.

N95 USB id not recognized if behind two levels usb...

Hi,
I spent a lot of hour, to reconnect my N95 via USB, because, explanation at the end, it seems impossible to connect the phone is there is a HUB between the N95 and the computer (else than the native buitin-the-computer).
Before everything was installed since two years. By accident equipement bluetooth have been destroyed and Windowd XP SP3 installation should have to be redone.
Even I many people that I am a professionnal in informatics, expert in some subjects, I have been lost. I pass on erratics ways, and lost hours to go to the diagnostic : mine :
The USB driver is unable to recognize a N95 (always set to the right USB connection PC-Suite or OBVI) if it is connected on a second level USB Hub.
as I have only three USB main ports I use two USB (USB2 and USB ... ) on my portable (DELL Latitude D800 and XP SP3)
During installation of PC-Suite or OVI, the soft see the "new usb device", sometimes says 'N95 master...." but never reaches to end the installation : what happends :
- the windows USB detection sees too at the same time (behind the HUB) the new USB device and propose to install it automatically, while PC-suite says "installing" (what ?).
then :
If you don't make anything this can spend as long siecles you want.
If you say OK to windows : it answers "impossible to install" and later PC-suite say "you have problems with your connection". If you disconnect you N95 you can have the "blue screen on <ousbehci.sys at address F76BE41D based at F76B7000 datestamp 433c099a>
If on windows you answer "cancel" it immediately detects "a new device" and so on... eternally. But it will create for each try an undefined device into the device manager (stopped at 32).
Some times the main N95 is detected and some others are seen but never all the link devices are detected and soft installed you are reconducted to the previous situation.
This as been repeated on clean installations (unistalling part of drivers installed)
If you connect your N95 directly on the first level of HUB it is perfectly installed.
But as my Hub are well alimented and Ucc controlled (7 disks, camera, Micro-cards reader etc...) ir is not a current alimentation problem.
Later when you reconnect your N95 is not detected if it his not connected on the first HUB level (integrated to computer)
So after this bad experience I have one advice to the others users (by security) :
- never install threw a second level HUB
- if after a good installation at a reconnect via an HUB, the 'new USB device found' main USB installer panel appears (if you change of connection this can be normal) but fails, which is not normal, connect directly your phone only on a main USB connection of your computer (and clean your device manager - XP SP3)

im having the same problem i think. When I plug my bionic into my computer nothing happens on my computer or my phone. I can't access any files from my computer. I think I may be stuck in charge only mode but I don't know how to get out of it. I have tried this on multiple computers. Anyone know how to fix this?

My computer has been a lemon. They refuse to properly diagnose, fix, and document my complaints regarding the multiple failures I have had with this computer. Also, I was told that upon my logic board being replaced back in April or May that the topic of replacing the computer altogether with one of equal equipment would be appropriate. Insofar, I have been to the store at least three times in the past month to discuss my issues with the computer that were not resolved when the hard drive was replaced in May. I was also told that the repairs on my system would be good for up to 90 days after the repair work was done and that I could buy AppleCare at the end of the 90 days in lieu of insuring a product that still had defects. I have been on the phone for what feels like hours with Apple trying to work this issue out but they are not wanting to stand behind their product nor are they willing to stand behind their warranty. The warranty expressly states that a computer can be replaced entirely if the defect is considered hardware malfunction and at the representative’s discretion. Every time I brought it in for repair it was due to hardware malfunction; however, they also said once that it was an accessory that I bought that was causing the problem which ended up not being the case after all. This is totally unacceptable. I also asked Mark from AppleCare to let me know what was repaired the second time the computer was put through a diagnostic at the Apple Store. Beachballs, Gears, excessive heat, not being taken seriously at the Apple Store, being insulted by a Mac Genius at the Apple Store, being misinformed by a Mac Genius, dealing with a misinformed Mac Genius. They replaced my iPod touch without much ado. I was also accused by an Apple Genius of being "hyperbolic." He said this in response to my complaint of the computer melting--literally--items on my computer desk. I am either wanting a refund of my money or a replacement of my laptop. Also, I have lost an incredible amount of data on my computer due to the hard drive being replaced x 2. Not acceptable. Also, the Apple store is 1 hour from where I live. I am currently looking for employment and additionally have a legal case pending where I am the plaintiff. I have lost VERY important documents in both matters which has caused an extreme amount of stress. I do not need the added stress of an unreliable and unsafe computer. I also have been waiting for a call back from Kelly (left two voice messages with Kelly) and Mark (wrote an e-mail for which he has not responded to insofar) at Apple but have heard nothing from either one of them regarding the status of my computer. The only thing I received which was automated by the Apple Store was a confirmation that my computer was ready. I have requested documentation of what was done (basically, I am asking for the receipt) before I drive an hour to pick it up. Haven't heard anything. I brought this computer in on July 24, 2011. We are now upon August 2nd. When do I get to know what was even done on my computer? Do they really think that I am going to take back a computer into my possession only to have to bring it back shortly thereafter to address one of the many issues causing it to malfunction in the first place? I have owned 5 computers since 1988. All of them PCs. This is my first Mac. Will it be my last?

The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ...

Audio begins lagging behind video in iTunes; other video works fine

Something that appears to have started after iTunes 10.x as I don't normally play too many videos on the PC from iTunes is regarding video playback in iTunes. The longer a video plays the longer the lag between what's showing up on the screen and the audio portion. If I stop and start the video it starts off synced again and then begins lagging. If I go outside of iTunes I can play other video formats such as wmv, avi, with no trouble, DVD and BluRay playback are not affected. The video files from iTunes play fine on my iPad. I can see no obvious cause for this, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have a decent high end PC running Windows 7 64 bit, with a quad core i7 processor, 6 GB of RAM, a terabyte of disk space, and an ATI 4870 HD video card.

I'm having the same problem. As I play ted podcast, the video starts lagging behind audio, and the longer I play, the more pronounced the effect. As I pause, video and audio re-synchronize.

MAC Voice Over: Why does the screen view lag behind the voice over audio?

When using voice over on a MAC with DE 1.8 - most times when paging thru a pdf file/book the voice and the view are inconsistent. When using VO - moving to the next page with the right arrow key - the audio starts to read the next page (correct), but the display is one page behind (not correct). For readers - especially those that have significant visual impairment - this will not work for them. Is this a defect - and if so - I would be very happy to re-test this feature if a new revision of DE 1.8 is provided.
I am unsure this is the correct forum to raise issues such as this one. I am in the process of evaluating Adobe DE 1.8 - my sister is blind and I am trying to move her to a MAC with VO. I really appreciate Adobe's effort in supporting JAWS and MAC VO - thank you on behalf of all disabled folks out there.
Below is a detailed list of steps to re-produce this audio/screen inconsistency issue.
- Install DE 1.8 and add to the dock
- Add a pdf file/book to DE 1.8. For my issue, I am adding the "Voice Over Getting Started" guide.
- Turn on Voice Over - Cmd+F5
- Using VO - Go to the dock and select DE and start it. The "Last Read Book" typically is the focus for the VO cursor. Then using VO next item (VO+right arrow) - move the VO cursor to "Library Content Table". This is the list of books that are displayed in DE.
- Using the up/down keyboard arrows - move up and down thru the books in the content list. At this point - you should already see that the VO audio announcing the title of a book is not synchronized with the row in the table that is displayed. The voice is announcing a book that you selected, but the display is showing the previous book.
- Once you hear (not see) the book you want to test with, hit <enter>. DE will open the book and start to read using VO. At this point the screen and audio for the first page in the book are the same.
- Once the book has been opened by DE - Using the right arrow key navigate to the next page in the pdf/book. Normally the right arrow key is the short cut to allow a user to move forward or backwards thru a book, one page at a time.
- With DE and VO - what happens is that VO responds to the right arrow key and starts to read the next page. But the screen is still showing the previous page. Hence the screen and the VO audio are out of sync.
- For anyone that uses MAC VO - this will prevent them from using Adobe DE 1.8.

Thanks for your information. We have tested several Mac machines, iMac and MBP (use the same version as yours). But we can't reproduce the issue. Actually working with VoiceOver is a fundamental request for our application, we did test them before releasing the build.
