UCCX 8.0 SQL 2008 Integration
Hello,
Did anybody successfully configured a Driver to use with SQL 2008 on UCCX 8.0?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Marco,
UCCX 8.0 supports the following driver class for SQL server 2008,
net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver.
The latest JTDS driver can be downloaded from:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/jtds/files/
The instructions to setup the database after installing the driver can be checked from page 441 of the link below
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_8_0/configuration/guide/uccx801ag.pdf
hope this helps

How can install SQL Server 2008 R2 Integration Services without CD?
The PC with Windows 7 32-bits is far away and poor bandwidth . So, I want to install SQL Server 2008 Integration Services without CD.
Does any installer for SSIS only?Copy the install media from a memory stick, portable drive or network.

I have done plenty of connections to SQL from UCCX 8.x using the JTDS sourceforge driver.
The documentation (uccx 9 administration guide) talks about using the "Microsoft SQL Server native Client 10.0 Driver" for SQL 2008. Is there a JAR file that works for this? I don't any reference to anything new in the dropdown for driver class name.Looks like this comes down to documentation that has been wrong since version 8.0(1). I found it in the 9.0(2) admin guide.
Bug: CSCto12196 states that the MS SQL Server Native Client 10 Driver SHOULD read JDTS 1.2.5
Doens't help with my problem ultimatley, but for those who were confused as me about that little gem in the docs... -
Sharepoint 2010 SQl 2008 r2 Reporting Services Integrated with Claims
i have a 4 server sharepoint 2010 farm all servers are windows 2008 r2 x64
two severs are sharepoint app/wfe servers
one server is SQL sharepoint content db server sql 2008 r2 enterprise
one server is SQL Claims Provider DB and reporting services on SQL 2008 r2
the site is behind a forefront tmg proxy firewall for both internal and external users and both locations are producing the same results.
the web application i am having an issue with consists of a primary web app claims enabled web app that only has NTLM enabled, with an extended extranet webapp that supports claims and NTLM.
there is surrently a site collection that has been configured for reporting services when i log into the site as a SQL Claims user i am able to run the reportbuilder as a content type using the New Report builder report content type from a library on
this site. Reportbuilder launches and i am once gain prompted to login i login with the same credentials i used to log into the site and reportbuilder opens up and then i am able to open datasourceas and reports.
When i log in to the same site collection as a domain user i am able to log in to the site and launch reportbuilder. When reportbuilder opens up i am prompted to log in, i insert my domain\username and password and nothing happens the login prompt appears again
blank on the back end it throws the following exceptions
1. Password check on 'username' generated exception: 'System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[Microsoft.IdentityModel.Tokens.FailedAuthenticationException]: The security token username and password could not be validated. (Fault Detail is equal to Microsoft.IdentityModel.Tokens.FailedAuthenticationException:
The security token username and password could not be validated.).'.
2.An exception occurred when trying to issue security token: The security token username and password could not be validated.
any thoughts on where i should begin troubleshooting this.I think i am getting close i am now seeing a new error it seems that the sp farm account is unable my domain account when launching reportbuilder.

Hi Experts,
We have a way to add the Windows Authentication-logins /OS users in SSIS
Component Services -> Computers -> My Computer -> DCOM Config -> MSDTSServer
Right click on MSDTSServer
Click properties
Click on the Security tab
Select Customize and add the users/groups to the Launch/Activation and Access tabs accordingly
Add the user to the local Distributed COM Users group
Restart the SSIS service
+++But do we have a way to add SQL Server Authetication logins to SSIS, Please clarify me
Prem GokullHi PREM,
If I understand correctly, you want to use SQL Server Authentication log to SQL Server Integration Services.
Based on my research, only Microsoft Windows Authentication is available for SSIS. So we cannot use SQL Server Authentication log to SQL Server Integration Services. Besides, we can only add OS users in the DCOM Config permission area.

Question:
There is a scenario that users want to send multiple rows returned by Execute SQL Task as Email content to send to someone. With Execute SQL Task, the Full result set is used when the query returns multiple rows, it must map to a variable of the Object data
type, then the return result is a rowset object, so we cannot directly send the result variable as Email content. Is there a way that we can extract the table row values that are stored in the Object variable as Email content to send to someone?
Answer:
To achieve this requirement, we can use a Foreach Loop container to extract the table row values that are stored in the Object variable into package variables, then use a Script Task to write the data stored in packages variables to a variable, and then set
the variable as MessageSource in the Send Mail Task.
Add four variables in the package as below:
Double-click the Execute SQL Task to open the Execute SQL Task Editor, then change the ResultSet property to “Full result set”. Assuming that the SQL Statement like below:
SELECT Category, CntRecords
FROM [table_name]
In the Result Set pane, add a result like below (please note that we must use 0 as the result set name when the result set type is Full result set):
Drag a Foreach Loop Container connects to the Execute SQL Task.
Double-click the Foreach Loop Container to open the Foreach Loop Editor, in the Collection tab, change the Enumerator to Foreach ADO Enumerator, then select User:result as ADO object source variable.
Click the Variable Mappings pane, add two Variables as below:
Drag a Script Task within the Foreach Loop Container.
The C# code that can be used only in SSIS 2008 and above in Script Task as below:
public void Main()
// TODO: Add your code here
Variables varCollection = null;
string message = string.Empty;
Dts.VariableDispenser.LockForWrite("User::Message");
Dts.VariableDispenser.LockForWrite("User::Category");
Dts.VariableDispenser.LockForWrite("User::CntRecords");
Dts.VariableDispenser.GetVariables(ref varCollection);
//Format the query result with tab delimiters
message = string.Format("{0}\t{1}\n",
varCollection["User::Category"].Value,
varCollection["User::CntRecords"].Value
varCollection["User::Message"].Value = varCollection["User::Message"].Value + message;
Dts.TaskResult = (int)ScriptResults.Success;
The VB code that can be used only in SSIS 2005 and above in Script Task as below, please note that in SSIS 2005, we should
change PrecompileScriptIntoBinaryCode property to False and Run64BitRuntime property to False
Public Sub Main()
' Add your code here
Dim varCollection As Variables = Nothing
Dim message As String = String.Empty
Dts.VariableDispenser.LockForWrite("User::Message")
Dts.VariableDispenser.LockForWrite("User::Category")
Dts.VariableDispenser.LockForWrite("User::CntRecords")
Dts.VariableDispenser.GetVariables(varCollection)
'Format the query result with tab delimiters
message = String.Format("{0}" & vbTab & "{1}" & vbLf, varCollection("User::Category").Value, varCollection("User::CntRecords").Value)
varCollection("User::Message").Value = DirectCast(varCollection("User::Message").Value,String) + message
Dts.TaskResult = ScriptResults.Success
End Sub
Drag Send Mail Task to Control Flow pane and connect it to Foreach Loop Container.
Double-click the Send Mail Task to specify the appropriate settings, then in the Expressions tab, use the Message variable as the MessageSource Property as below:
The final design surface like below:

Is this a supported scenario, or does it use unsupported features?
For example, can we call exec [ReportServer].dbo.AddEvent @EventType='TimedSubscription', @EventData='b64ce7ec-d598-45cd-bbc2-ea202e0c129d'
in a supported way?

Access a view on a 32 bit Oracle 9i from a MS SQL 2008 R2 64 bit
NOt sure if this is the right forum for this.
We need to access a view on a 32 bit Oracle 9i - Release 9.2.0.8.0 database running on Windows 2003 Server, from a MS SQL 2008 R2 64 bit system running on Windows Server 2008 64 bit.
Edited by: 854859 on Apr 26, 2011 3:21 PMWhen yu want to access a view hosted in Oracle and retrieve data from this view in a MS SQl Server, then you need to use MS SQL Server Linked Server mechanism based on OLEDB/ODBC.
Since MS SQL Server this feature is integrated in MS Integration Services and more details can be found at the MS knowledge base. -
Server0 starts very slowly in PI 7.11 in Win 2008 / SQL 2008 MSCS config
Hi all.
I have a problem in our newly installed PI 7.11 system on Windows Server 2008 and MS SQL 2008 MSCS setup. The J2EE application server on the node where the SCS is running, takes about 1 hour to start. About 20 minutes after starting, it goes from starting framework to starting apps, and then remains in that status for another 40-50 minutes. I am unable to find anything in the log files that can explain this behaviour. The J2EE app server on the second cluster nodes starts within 5-6 minutes. If I fail over the SAP Cluster Group to the second node, the situation is reversed.
We are using the latest 7.11 kernel and the latest available SPS.
Has anyone experiences something similar?
Regards,
ThomasHi.
Thanks for your input!
I found this document [Process Integration (PI) Performance Check - Analyzing Performance Problems and Possible Solution Strategies|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f0b96675-87cf-2c10-b489-dee0ac03f782?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true].
I also remembered having read somewhere that the VMC should be turned off for PI. So I set the parameter vmcj/enable = off. If this really did the trick or not, I cannot guarantee, but now my server0 processes starts normally.

Why same query takes different execution time in sql 2008
Hi!
With below query in SQL Server 2008 R2 when I change Book_ID to another value like '99000349' it takes very long time to execute while both result sets have same number of records!?
select Card_Serial,Asset_ID, Field_Name,Field_Value,Asset_Number,Field_ID,Book_ID from dbo.vw_InspectionReport where Book_ID='99000347'
I've test it more and more,A time I ran quickest one, or longest one first, restart Windows, but for some specific Book_ID values (although with same number of result set rows) it take multiple time slower than rest of Book_IDs.
Also showing state of the result set is different for these diffrent Book_IDs:
for fast ones it looks like below picture:
for slow ones it looks like below picture:
if you note, order of returned records are different!?
I'm waiting for your kindly reply!...Do you see any changes if you add a hint to the query?
select Card_Serial,Asset_ID, Field_Name,Field_Value,Asset_Number,Field_ID,Book_ID from dbo.vw_InspectionReport where Book_ID='99000347OPTION(RECOMPILE)

OK... I am stumped. I am trying to set the variable "User::TicketDB_Get_SQL" from a Script Task since it is dynamic... and well it isn't working :(

So that is my code... when I run it, line # 217 shows what the new Variable should be... However when I hit line # 220 it isn't set and if I let it continue I am watching the variables and it isn't getting set. I am confused... anyone??

Update SharePoint list programatically twice a day with SQL 2008 r2
How complicate is to sustain the update SharePoint list programatically twice a day by using SQL job?
the data need to be update twice a day and it is going o be use to feed a share point form...where the user(S) will be choosing by lookup in infopath form.

SharePoint 2010 list to SQL 2008 table
I would like export the data from SharePoint 2010 list to SQL 2008 table.
At work we don't have SQL integration Services.
What is the best way to export the data without copying and paste into the table?
Any help will be appreciated.

SQL Server Integration Services 11.0 not showing
To whom it may concern,
I have been using SSIS 2008 R2 without a problem. I then installed VS 2012 and migrated my SSIS packages from VS 2010 to VS 2012. I also installed the BI Components (SSDTBI_VS2012_x86_ENU) in VS 2012,
All the SSIS packages runs fine within VS 2012. As soon as I run the packages from the command line (i.e. "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\DTS\Binn\dtexec.exe") the packages referencing any lookup objects provides the following
error:
Error: 2014-04-21 13:20:15.85

End Error
I checked my services on my Local machine and the following integration service is the only one available:
SQL Server Integration Service 10.0 (i.e. SQL Server Integration Service 11.0 is missing)
I presume this is the problem.
I will appreciate it if someone can assist with this problem. I have also tried to repair MS-SQL 2012 (Express Version) to no avail (Shared Features).
Kind Regards,Hi, I am running SSIS on a Local Dev Machine and I am trying to execute the packages via the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\DTS\Binn\dtexec.exe" Command Line It look as though I need to remove my previous version of SSIS and then install the
2012 SSIS.
I have also downloaded the extend MS SQL 2012 Express Version (1.9 GB), but still no no avail. It therefore seems to be related to the previous version of SSIS that I possibly need to remove and then try to reinstall SSIS for 2012.
I will revert back as soon as I have done these tests.
As I said before, the Express version doesn't have SSIS.

Sql 2012 integration services settings grayed out
Our DBAs are trying to change some settings for integration services by following this article:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa337083.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
however everything on the properties window is grayed out. I have the same issue despite being a local admin on this server.
Are there any other settings I need to change to gain access to this? I can change all other settings under dcom configHi vanquish12,
Please make sure that you right click on “Component Services” and select "Run as Administrator" to start up “Component Services”.
However, if the integration services settings are still grayed out, the issue could be due to permission restrictions on your system. Please perform the following steps to solve this issue.
1. Right-click on SQL Server Integration Services 11.0 and select Properties in Component Services/Computers/My computer/DCOM Config. In the General tab, record the Application ID of SQL Server Integration Services 11.0.
2. Start the registry editor (regedit), find the following key, then right click it and select Permissions, add your account in the Permissions dialog and grant full control rights to your account.
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\{ Application ID of step 1}
3. Check that if integration services settings are enabled in Component Services.

Good day all.
About a month ago I cloned a virtual server "2008 R2 Ent" as our new SQL server. Upon installation of the "Microsoft SQL 2008 Ent
R2" using "run as administrator. I receive the following install error:
The following error has occurred:
Updating permission setting for folder 'E:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\' failed. The folder permission setting were supposed to be set to 'D:(A;OICI;FA;;;BA)(A;OICI;FA;;;SY)(A;OICI;FA;;;CO)(A;OICI;0x1200a9;;;BU)'.
Click 'Retry' to retry the failed action, or click 'Cancel' to cancel this action and continue setup.

I have performed the following troubleshooting steps:
-Researched all forums with related issues. Attempted all findings.
-Attempted limited install.
-Attempted install to new directory.
-Downloaded another copy of SQL image.
-Tried install from CMD line.
-Cloned another server and attempted a fresh install.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
