UDF to compare two values and Pull another value if equals

Hi all,
I am looking for UDF to perform the following logic, please help me
I will have 3 inputs, say field1, fields2, field3. If field1 = field2 then return field3.
You may say that this can be implemented by message mapping with IF condition itself. But here field1 & field2 are from different segments.Field1 & field3 are from same segment.
When i use message mapping because of this context problems, i am able to get this validation for the first set only.
If i have the multiple values means, i am not able to get it.
all these field1, field2 & field3 are multiple times

I set the all 3 input's context to parent level and now error is not there.which is fine
But i am not getting output even though field1 & field2 are equal/
The logic should be in this way.
Record1:
ABC(segment)
   <Field2>01</field2>
<Field1>20101110</field3>
XYZ(segment)
     <Field1>10</field1>
Record2:
ABC(segment)
   <Field2>10</field2>
   <Field1>20090909</field3>
XYZ(segment)
   <Field1>01</field1>
In the above case Record1-field1 should check whether Record1-field1==Record1-field2 ?? NO
Record1-field1==Record2-field2?? YES the return 20090909
And
Record2-field1 should check whether Record2-field1==Record2-field2 ???? NO
Record2-field1==Record1-field2 ??? YES then return 20101110.
Please let me know, i am not able to achieve this using graphical Mapping, thats why i am thinking about UDF.

Not sure if i understand correctly. But you are trying to compare one field with multiple occurrences of another field.
You can make use of the node function "Use One as Many" and repeat the first value as many times as the second value.

industryName and recCount are from the dataset ds_MedimOrLowImpactEntities. whats wrong in this expression

After testing the issue in my local environment, I can reproduce it. Just the error message said, “Aggregate function can be used only on report items contained in page headers and footers”. So the sum function that contains report items should be stayed
at page headers or footers. Besides, you said the hpapra_name textbox contain a field from another dataset, not the ds_MedimOrLowImpactEntities dataset. While in Reporting Services, Report item expressions can only refer to other report items within the same
grouping scope or a containing grouping scope. So consider the two issues, we should use some other expression to instead the “reportItems!hpapra_name.Value” expression.

The missing thing. You have to keep in mind that what you see is not the same as the camera sees.
So when using IMAQ Substract it gives you the difference of the value of every single pixel!
In order to find the mouse as only difference you have to manage that every other pixel value stays the same, e.g. with a proper lightening.
At the other hand you can combine different filters or alogorithms to get the object, e.g. if the object is darker or brighter then everything else in the image you could use a threshold and then use morphologic operations to get the objects size and position.

How can i compare to values ,one of them is picked up from a database and the second is passes to this page from html form as a parameter.

I am assuming by "greater" you mean the string length.
Use the string length function from the strings palette, with shift-registers on a while loop. Write to the shift-register the "greater" string.
I am attaching a diagram screenshot for this. NOTE: depending on how you want this VI to run, you can move the input and output string control and indicator inside our outside the while loop.

Compare two columns and match ALL recurring values, not just the first instance

Hi everybody...
I was looking for a way to compare values in two columns, identifying every duplicate value instance on a third column.
Searching around the forums, I found a solution, albeit a partial one; I am using this formula: =IFERROR("Duplicate in row "&MATCH($A,$B,0),"") along column C, to compare values between columns A and B. When applied, the formula will render the first instance where there is a duplicate; unfortunately MATCH will only register the first instance of the duplicated values.
For example:
The first value on column A is 'Apple'. On column B there are three instances for the value 'Apple', the formula identifies the first of these values, but not the remaining two.
I am not an advanced Numbers or Excel user, and the answer to this problem eludes me. I am attempting to compare columns that have no less than 1000 rows each, so you can imagine how, finding a solution to my problem would be really great.

Unfortunately I can't see your screenshot, but supposing you have a table like this:

Then here is one way to flag the duplicates.
The formula in C2, copied down, is:
=IF(COUNTIF($A,$B2)≥1,"Dupe","")
Then filter on column C for 'Dupe', and copy the values in column B to wherever you need them.

Wouldn't it be easier to use a Set which does not allow duplicates? That would nip the problem at the source rather than bringing it all the way to the jsp and not displaying it.
However if you have to have it this way, there is no easy way to break out of a loop in logic tags. Maybe some murky servlet code with a break command in scriptlets would do the trick, but you really have to scour the source code to confirm that.

What id like to do is create a report in apex that compares the to tables and would have columns in the report to shows the USER_ID , ASSESSED , Completed   so it would look something like
USER_ID                      ASSESSSED                    COMPLETE
USER1@MAIL               1                                         yes
USER2@MAIL               1                                         yes
USER3@MAIL               2                                         no
USER4@MAIL               7                                         no
So why it shows no for user3@mail and user4@mail is because there Assessments 2do is not he same as Assessed

I'm sure there is a clever way to cascade functions to avoid adding an auxiliary column in your practice table, but to me it wouldn't be worth the aggravation. I would add a column that concatenates Columns A & B, AWG & mils. This column can be anywhere and would be Hidden. Let's say your new column is Column N.
In Column N, fill the body rows with:
=A&"-"&B
As good Numbers programming form would indicate, let's name the Practice Table Practices and only put the practices in that table. In another table where you do the lookup, let's call it Program, we will have the calculation/lookup.
Based on your example, I'd guess that AWG may be in Column D and mils in Column E of your Program table, and the Soak lookup in Column F. If I'm wrong, adjust the column id.
In Column F, write:
=OFFSET(Practices::I$1,MATCH(D&"-"&E, Practices::N,0)−1, 0)
The hyphen in the concatenated representation of the combination of AWG and mils is just tp make it more readable.
As I'm sure you know, you could use other approaches, but since I had you put your aux column at the end of your Practices table, OFFSET with MATCH is a clean approach. INDEX could be used too.
