UDO form generator will generate for you a B1 form in XML format starting from a UDO definition in your DB. It is included also in the VS.NET wizards for C# and VB.NET projects for B1 addons as part of the B1DE package.
You can download the B1DE package directly from SDN under "Business One SDK tools" section in the B1 SDN home page.

Problem Connecting B1DE UDO Form Generator in SAP 8.8
Hello All,
I have installed the B1DE Tool for SAP 8.8 Patch - 17 machine but while running the UDO Form Generator
when i am ginving the User Name & Password of the selected company then system throws an error
"ERROR - Connection to Company Failed ; Resource Error "
and i am not able to use the UDO Form Generator .
Please suggest how to resolve this problem,

Error when open UDO form generator
when i try to open udo form gen .the following error arises.
ERROR The Type initializer for 'B1 Wizard.Globals' threw an exception
Pls tell me how to resolve itHave you searched the forum?

Hi There,
Need help on modifying my UDO xml form. I need to have the data in Matrix or Grid, But the UDO form that i create from B1 UDO Form Generator gives it field wise.
I tried to create a new form in screen painter but it doesn't load the form from my code (Surprising).
My UDO form is loding though and im able to add data, etc. but i want it in a Grid or Matrix style.
Here is my XML of my UDO form.

Have you tried the Screen painter add-on? Use it has a RAD tool to create your UDO Forms.
Looking at your xml, I can see that haven't defined any columns.
I provide you with the XML for one of my document forms, so you can use has template.

For your second requirement of including a combo in the UDO form:
While declaring field in the UDT, set some valid values and then register the UDO.
When you generate the form using the UDO Form Generator, the combo box comes automatically.
If the values in the combo are dynamic, you can open the srf / xml form in screen painter, replace the edit box with a combo box. and populate it thru the code.

Help in adding UDO Form to Project
Hi all,
I need some help with calling a UDO form in VB.Net
I have created a new project in VB.NET
I have created a UDo through Object Registration wizead.
I also create a form through UDO form generator.
Since I am new to SAp I want to know how do i call this form into my project.
I have already created a menu event and on its click I write the folwing code

You should change the last line of your code from

to
SBO_Application.LoadBatchActions(oXmlDoc.XML)
There should not be quotation marks around the variable with the XML values in it as the SDK then interprets it as a string.

I want to know about form generators for UDO.
The default forms generated when we create our UDO contains only a grid, this forms are very simple and not very useful for big applications.
My question is there is any form generator that allow us to generate complex forms with textfields, lablels and tabs from an UDO and his childs.
i hear about a file "XmlFormGenerator.cs", i don't know if it's that i'm searching for, but i cant find it in sdn.

I had Generated an UDO Form and on the form Load Event.
i had created a Combobox(RunTime) and Filled some values from the database;
now i want to act with the select event of that combobox.
<b>where can i write the code for the Events of this runtime generated ComboBox(i.e ComboBox.Selected Event) in UDO Forms.</b>
More over i am also facing the problem as

View Crystal Report Layout for my UDO Form
Hi all,
I try to view a report created for my UDO form. I set all settings in Administration -> Setup -> General -> Report and Layout Manager. Now I wonder what should be assigned to eventInfo.LayoutKey. I tried assigned report's DocCode from RDOC, DocEntry of my UDO object or UDO Code but nothing works. Always get an error: Incorrect format of argument or something like that - I didn't get an error in English so I tried to translate it.
How to show a report layout for my UDO form?

Migrating from 6i to 9i for form generating starting with designer
I try to migrating our forms generating 5-6 years start with designer, but they are finished through form builder.
When I tried to use migrating assistant wizard, I get
LMDMANA.CG$WHEN_NEW_FORM_INSTANCE: The String CALL was found. If it is an occurence of the Forms Built-In, It should be replaced with CALL_FORM.

I posted it through metalink and I was told it must be regenerated through designer, and there is no way to do migration.Hi,
actually you would upgrade the application sources from Forms 6i to Forms9i and then run teh Forms Migration Assistant for the clean up /this at least is my understanding after asking one of our Designer Product Managers).

Copy data from a UDO form to Goods Receipt PO using UI API
Hi, all
I tried to copy data from a UDO form to Goods Receipt PO using UI API through following codes.
It works fine while copying to a Item-type Goods Receipt PO.
But when the doctype is set to service, I got errors.
I use for-loop to copy two items, Description and LineTotal, into the matrix of Goods Receipt PO form, but both failed.
any suggestion?

Need Information about IMS QTI 1.01 Assessment Generator Tool
Hi All,
Does anyone know about any tool to generate IMS QTI 1.01 Assessments from an excel sheet. I have only come across those tools that generate assessments in a later/newer version of IMS QTI standard which is non compliant of OLM. Any information will be highly appreciated in this regard.

Yes I have checked these docs, they only discuss what kinds of content standards are compliant with OLM. I am actually looking for a tool/software/product that generate IMS QTI 1.01 compliant assessments from a excel sheet.
I have found many assessment generator tools but they all generate assessments in later/newer versions of IMS QTI standard.

saiThere is a batch generate option inside the menu of the Design Editor. You can't batch generate by selecting all your forms and choose generate, this will only generate one of the selected forms.

Form field tool tips & Read Out Loud
I know that having tool tips for form fields in a PDF is a requirement for accessibility. When I use View > Read This Page in Acrobat, the reader does not read the tool tips for the form fields, even though I've turned on Read form fields in Preferences > Reading. I have a both check boxes and text fields on the form.
What do I need to do to have the Read This Page feature read the form field tool tips?
And, if the Read This Page features does actually read the form field tool tips, wouldn't it be rather redundant that it reads the tool tip and then it also reads the text label printed on the form?
Are certain types of form fields considered 'not accessible?'

Sorry, to the best of my knowledge the Acrobat Read Out Loud feature cannot be coaxed into reading form field tips. But you have other options like the PAC 1.3 preview feature and the Callas pdfGoHTML plug in - that let you see the form fields and tips in the context that an assistive technology user would hear them. Or you could use the excellent free screen reader NVDA. Or pay for JAWS.

Yes, form field tips can be repetitive. Accessibility rules can be dogmatic. If a form field is labeled and tagged properly and it would be annoyingly repetitive to include a tip, and if you are not constrained by a must-pass-the-dogmatic-accessibility-checker rule, feel free to use your good judgment regarding when it makes sense to leave out the tip.

My understanding is that XFA-based PDF forms are problematic from an accessibility standpoint. Standard PDF forms should always be made accessible.
