Problem Connecting B1DE UDO Form Generator in SAP 8.8
Hello All,
I have installed the B1DE Tool for SAP 8.8 Patch - 17 machine but while running the UDO Form Generator
when i am ginving the User Name & Password of the selected company then system throws an error
"ERROR - Connection to Company Failed ; Resource Error "
and i am not able to use the UDO Form Generator .
Please suggest how to resolve this problem,

1.change name server (server database)
2.user name and password must have lincence.

You can download the B1DE package directly from SDN under "Business One SDK tools" section in the B1 SDN home page. -
Error when open UDO form generator
when i try to open udo form gen .the following error arises.
ERROR The Type initializer for 'B1 Wizard.Globals' threw an exception
Pls tell me how to resolve itHave you searched the forum?

How to output PDF file through XI from PDF form generated in SAP
Hi, All,
I need to generate and send out PDF file to other system through XI. The PDF file source come from SAP PDF form which type is XSTRING. I see there is a similar thread posted here /message/527877#527877 [original link is broken]
but it seems does not have good solution there. Can anybody give a hand?

Please check the links below to know about conversion agent tool,it is a third party tool which helps to convert the PDF,word doc,HL7 doc......etc into xml format.
This s/w u have to buy from SAP and do the convertion in the convertion agent tool and deploy it in the xi server.

Problem connection in OIM 9.1 with SAP user managment

When I want to provision a sap user management resource to an user, it appeared this problem.

It is strange because it was working all right since 3 months ago and in these 2 last weeks, it is frequently this problem. Sometimes it works sometimes it does not.
Of course, I tried the connection between OIM and SAP, with the SAP login, and the connection is all OK.
My oim vertion is 9.1 and the SAP User Management connector is 9.0.4.1.
Did anybody have this problem before?
Bye!Oh I forget, when I restart the application server, in my case the jboss, the problem is fixed. Strange...

Problems connecting curve 9380 to mercedes bluetooth sap v2
Hi everyone, i have just got this phone in the hope that as it has SAP on it that it would connect to my Mercedes Bluetooth cradle.
I have managed to get it to connect but it then disconnects then keeps connecting and disconnecting again but not actually working in the car as it doesn't stay connected for long enough. Anyone know why it would keep doing this and how to get it to connect and stay connected?I have the same phone, and exactly the same problem! Keeps dropping the connection. My service provider suggested reloading the phone software. But no luck... I am at wit's end. Any luck that side yet?

Problem Connecting Developer Suite Form 9 with Oracle 9i Database

I have a problem to connect Developer Suite Release 2 forms 9 with Oracle 9i database release 1. I have done net8 easy configuration but no success. The error is ORA-12514 TNS: Listener could not resolve SERVICE_NAME given in connect descriptor. I am not using any application server. Can any one help me to solve this problem.

Help in adding UDO Form to Project
Hi all,
I need some help with calling a UDO form in VB.Net
I have created a new project in VB.NET
I have created a UDo through Object Registration wizead.
I also create a form through UDO form generator.
Since I am new to SAp I want to know how do i call this form into my project.
I have already created a menu event and on its click I write the folwing code

Dim oXmlDoc As Xml.XmlDocument
oXmlDoc = New Xml.XmlDocument

However the above line throws error

You should change the last line of your code from
SBO_Application.LoadBatchActions("oXmlDoc.XML")
to
SBO_Application.LoadBatchActions(oXmlDoc.XML)
There should not be quotation marks around the variable with the XML values in it as the SDK then interprets it as a string.

Hi There,
Need help on modifying my UDO xml form. I need to have the data in Matrix or Grid, But the UDO form that i create from B1 UDO Form Generator gives it field wise.
I tried to create a new form in screen painter but it doesn't load the form from my code (Surprising).
My UDO form is loding though and im able to add data, etc. but i want it in a Grid or Matrix style.

Have you tried the Screen painter add-on? Use it has a RAD tool to create your UDO Forms.
Looking at your xml, I can see that haven't defined any columns.

For your second requirement of including a combo in the UDO form:
While declaring field in the UDT, set some valid values and then register the UDO.
When you generate the form using the UDO Form Generator, the combo box comes automatically.
If the values in the combo are dynamic, you can open the srf / xml form in screen painter, replace the edit box with a combo box. and populate it thru the code.

I want to know about form generators for UDO.
The default forms generated when we create our UDO contains only a grid, this forms are very simple and not very useful for big applications.
My question is there is any form generator that allow us to generate complex forms with textfields, lablels and tabs from an UDO and his childs.
i hear about a file "XmlFormGenerator.cs", i don't know if it's that i'm searching for, but i cant find it in sdn.
Thanks.I found the tool i'm searching for, it's in the Development Environment Tools v1.4 for Business One 2007, and it's work perfectly, you have just to specify the UDO and it's creates an XML Form for the UDO and his childs, in the Form all operations are supportes : Add, Update and delete.

Facing problem while removing XML tags which has been generated from SAP

I am facing problem in MII, while i trying to remove 1st 2 XML tags of XML as generated from SAP.

Are you trying to make the xml into a string? I think if you remove the first tag, it will either automagically reappear or it will throw and error as being poorly formed xml.
In general, you can remove the nodes by the use of indexes. Since you are operating at the root level, I am not sure how well it will work, but if your xml is in a property, you can reference the specific nodes by something like this: myXML.Output{/*[1]} which if you put it in a tracer will display the contents of the first node (or blank if there are child nodes). The node index can be dynamically set, but start with the simple hard coded one. I would also start at the lowest child level to verify that it is working properly (a tracer will display the contents specified by the index). You can also google xml indices (or indexes) and it will point to some other useful xml operators.
I suggest that you play around with it and also work with the Link Types (hint: removeXML).

According to "tnsnames.ora", the paramater of connection is as follows;

Unfortunately, when I use Oracle Net8 Easy Config to test the connection, an error message is prompted as follows:
Connecting....
The test did not succeed.
ORA-03106: fatal two-task communication protocol error
There may be an error in the fields entered
or the server may not be ready for a connection.
You can check the server and retry, or continue.
After I google it, I still have no idea how to solve the problem. I would like to ask, could anyone mind providing some hints or solution to address the issues.
Thanks for your assistance in advance.I don't believe the Net8 Easy Config (NEC) will create a compatible entry in the tnsnames.ora. I have Forms 6i running successfully against a 10g Express database, but I did not use the NEC - I created the entry myself. Here is the entry I use:

I'm trying to use form generator from Designer 6i rel 2.
I found big problems regenerating a migrated application.
Layout of most of my blocks is completely changed and I can't reproduce the previous behaviour.
I found some solutions using relative tabs but may problems are still there.
The biggest problems I've are on tab canvases :
1 - I use the same font as before (6.0) but the generated canvases are smaller and fields don't fit in it.
2 - The height of the tab canvases is smaller then before and form developer tries to reduce it every time I run it giging me a CDG-3484 "error"
3 - the stacked footer disappeared (sometime totaly somtime partialy).
Please give me any suggestion or idea.

TullioWe noticed the same thing when we started creating Headstart for Designer 6i. Some things we found:
- We used to always leave page width/height blank to get optimal layout. Now it seems to work better if you specify a value.
- We found that we get better results when we explicitly specify height and width on all displayed items as well. (We didn't used to ever specify a width on a date column, nor height on any column that we wanted to default to 1.)
- Designer used to widen the page when an individual item was too wide. Now it narrows the item.
- Designer has changed its algorithm for determining item width.
- Designer has added new objects in its object library for Display Only (_DO) objects which affects the layout of these objects particularly.
Of course, using Headstart we had the luxury of knowning that our object library, template form and preference settings had not changed. If you are using the Designer default object library, template and preferences, I recommend you carefully compare the old versus the new. There may be changes to these underlying objects which would of course affect your generated modules.
