UIPageViewController with Images not releasing viewcontrollers in iPad3

In ARC, I have a customised UIPageviewController called MyPageViewController.
To a RootViewcontroller, I am adding this MyPageViewController as childViewController, with Transition Type Curl.
I have a ViewController ImageViewController with 4 UIImageViews on it. These Images will be HD images and I am loading them using
[UIImage imageWithContentsOfFile:]
To MyPageViewController, only 2 viewControllers(ImageViewController) are being added at a time using,
- (UIViewController *)pageViewController:(PMPageViewController *)pageViewController viewControllerBeforeViewController:(UIViewController *)viewController; - (UIViewController *)pageViewController:(PMPageViewController *)pageViewController viewControllerAfterViewController:(UIViewController *)viewController;
In viewDidUnload of ImageViewController, I am setting every views & objects to nil;
But each time I turn a page in pageViewController, I can see 15 MB increased to the memory and it is not going down, unless I pop back this whole RootViewController.
But this happens only in iPad3, whereas memory is not increasing in iPad2.
So I guess that, iPad3 is not releasing the view controllers that are once added to it, whereas iPad2 releases the previous viewControllers and keeps only the current ones.
Is that really the same or there is any other workarounds for this...
Can someone help me on this please.. I have been spending almost one week on this issue..

Q:Lists with images not working for me

I am tryingto create a main page with a anumber of images pointing to different URLs. The main page is basically a list with images tied to it, pretty straightforward.
However, I can't get the images to be displayed at all. Check out the test app here:

The workspace name is ANDYTEST.
The images are loaded and are not associated to any application. If I check the source of the page I get the following:

And the width and height part is something that I have added to the attribute of the list entry.

Hello,
The list template has a generic image so when the end developer (you) first implements a dropdown list you don't see a broken image.
What you need to do is edit the List templat and take the image tag that looks like this
<img src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#themes/generic_list.gif" #IMAGE_ATTR# />and make it this
<img src="#IMAGE#" #IMAGE_ATTR# />I fixed up your example and you can see the images now.

Applet with Image not working in Browser, works fine in Appletviewer

Hi,
I encountered a problem , running my Applet in a browser. (IE and Firefox, ame problem).
When I use an ImageIcon, it doesnot work. in a browser.(When I remove the icon, it's oke)
In Appletviewer it works fine. In the browser I first got a security-exception.
I dealed with that by signing the jar (with the test certificate).
Now the browser's java console is not showin any faults, but the applet is showing no picture at all.
Only the text of the label is shown.
Can someone help me?
I downgraded the class to a very simple form, shown underneath. This runs fine in Appletviewer, but not in a Browser.

I have recently had the same problem, after lots of searching, I found that only Java 1.1 is supported by browsers, leaving out everything else including swing. So if you cant play the applet through your browser you need to download the appropriate patch i think about 5mbs.
You should find one at java.sun.com/getjava/download.html

Help with images not loading

My Flash page is supposed to load images from Photobucket.
However, the images are not loading. I've checked two things to see
if they have an effect:
1) Whether Photobucket has a policy file (crossdomain.xml) to
allow external access. It does.
2) Changing the allowScriptAccess parameter to "always".

MimeURL with images not functions properly on Integrated ITS

I'm new in ITS and I'm working on Integrated ITS (SAP ECC 6.0). I have to substitute some gif images on HTML template of a customer internet service (on SE80).
I have pointing on the folder:
YYWEB
-Topic 99
-IMAGE
A.GIF
and I create new MIME object B.GIF (under IMAGE folder) I save and publish it.
Into HTML template I have found this code (that's work fine):
<TD background="`mimeURL(~name="/image/a.gif")`" height=32 > </TD>
and I changed in:
<TD background="`mimeURL(~name="/image/b.gif")`" height=32 > </TD>
But nothing is appearing on the browser in place of the B.GIF image.
Any clues?

Perhaps try clearing the Browser Cache and the Integrated ITS Template and MIME Cache using transaction: SITSPMON -> "Template & MIME Cache"
If "B.GIF" is still not shown - use a HTTP sniffer like HTTPWatch to see if the template is ref the correct MIME in the View Source of the HTML page.

POP UP menu with image not pull down

I'm new to fireworks. I've looked at tutorials, but it seems
all the pop up menu features are for pull down menus. I want to
press the button and have a blank ( separate window 360x 303 pixals
) pop up with a jpeg image in it. How do I do this?

Images not showing up in project

I have been having problems with image not appearing in projects but they do appear in folders, sometimes. Sometimes they are just no longer visible anywhere in Aperture though they are still in Apertures folder structure. That is, if I view packets content they are still there.
I am sure this is a user error being that just a few months ago switched over from a PC and THEN just jumped into this non-folder-type storing structure with iPhoto and Aperture. To be honest though, iPhoto seems to make more sense to me than Aperture.
So anyway, the question. How to I get these apparently hidden image to reappear in Aperture?

I imported images into a project. I have created albums under that project. All worked as it should. I could see images under both the project and the album views.
Now I view that project, I see no images. I click on an album under the project and I see images. As stated earlier, I do not believe the images have been deleted from the project since they still live in the project folder as viewed in a finder window and in the album under the project.
Basically, what shows in finder does not match what shows in Aperture.
@rwboyer. Let me just say that if you have a problem with how someone posts a question, and by the way why would I post a question if I knew what the heck was going on?, I would suggest two ways of dealing with it: 1) ask kindly to have the question rewritten or 2) don't bother to reply. Especially in such a rude manor.

Issues with Images when used w/ Caption Widget & Book File Size Q

Hi Everyone,
I was having issues with images not showing up and determined it was the caption widget causing the issue. I now have one of two issues happening consistently. Either the image does not show at all or just the caption box with bkgd gray and caption text shows, but without the image.
Anyone else have this issue?
Ay ideas would be greatly appreciated. I wasw just about finished with this project when this started!
Also, the size of the book is considerably larger than I realized.It is 81 mb. . . How does this compare to any of your books?

I can't speak to your main issue, as I cannot recreate the problem over here.
As a guess, have you checked to make sure you're not running out of harddrive space? iBA can consume space quickly, and behaves oddly when it begins to run out of room.
But as far as filesize goes, I can only wish for an 81 MB book. Mine is currently a little over 2 GB and growing. Tonight I had to split it into 2 volumes just so iBooks Author can run at a reasonable pace. I was getting tired of waiting 1-2 minutes after dragging a video around on the page before I could get control of the program again.
You should note that Apple is expecting large filesizes for this new Multi-Touch format. The docs on iTunesConnect say the largest allowed upload size for a book is 16GB 2BG (see link below)

Export your HTML and then Just edit index.html with any text editor look for sentence <link rel="...................................>
Then delete all this sentence and copy this one
<link href="//PATH/favicon.ico" rel="shortcut icon" type="image/x-icon">
PATH = Where you have your favicon.ico
I usually copy the favicon.ico in the folder images so the sentence will be like this
<link href="//mydomain.com/images/favicon.ico" rel="shortcut icon" type="image/x-icon">

Your image history (if I understand you properly) is stored in your catalog file, and nowhere else, and so it is only on a single drive.
Do you mean you have edited photos on multiple drives? This isn't a problem for Lightroom at all, the software doesn't care, and you can leave things just the way they are. But if it bothers you for some reason, you can move the photos to a single drive if you want. In Lightroom select the desired photos or folders (it's easier to do this using Folders) and drag them to the desired drive.

Problem with file descriptors not released by JMF

I have a problem with file descriptors not released by JMF. My application opens a video file, creates a DataSource and a DataProcessor and the video frames generated are transmitted using the RTP protocol. Once video transmission ends up, if we stop and close the DataProcessor associated to the DataSource, the file descriptor identifying the video file is not released (checkable through /proc/pid/fd). If we repeat this processing once and again, the process reaches the maximum number of file descriptors allowed by the operating system.
The same problem has been reproduced with JMF-2.1.1e-Linux in several environments:

Its a bug on H263, if you test it without h263 track or with other video codec, the release will be ok.
You can try to use a not-Sun h263 codec like the one from fobs or jffmpeg projects.

Sounds like it's a problem with the Acrobat settings. Did you set them to the same resolution?

I tried using the Guest Account on my Mac. In the Guest Account, Illustrator works perfect!
Then I started wondering what processes (tools/tweaks) I run by default on my account. Turned out the problem was called by a little background tool called RightZoom. RightZoom let's the green 'zoom' button always maximize your current window.
So thanks! Problem solved!

This does not happen when I open the same PDF links in Windows Explorer so it must be Firefox setting that I need to change. By the way, I have Adobe Creative Suite 4 installed on my computer.
