'Unable to access application'-Error in ACC-installation

Dear Gurus,
I started an adaptive computing controller 1.0 SP8 installation. In phase 5 - Start J2EE Engine for Online deployment- it ran into an error:
Unable to access application $(DIR_EXE_ROOT)/run/startsap. No such file or directory.
I used the AL11- transaction to check the variable, but it seemed to be alright. (I also suppose it was used properly before during the installation). The run- directory with the startsap in it is also at the right place, so I cannot realize the problem.
Any ideas or possible solutions are heartly welcome!
Greets,
Maike

Hi Maike,
what OS are you installing on? This looks like the environment variable is not correctly set ...
Just for your information. The Adaptive Computing Controller 7.1 is planned to go into GA end of July.
Kind regards
Gunther

  • Unable to access applications in workspace, shared services

    Hi ,
I am Unable to access applications in workspace and shared services on EPM 11.1.1.3. It happened after normal shutdown/startup scripts were run.
But when I reconfigure the Weblogic web server and run the services again I can access the applications. This is happening frequently now.
Is this anything related to user profiles on the server as we are migrating these to other server.
Can any one help me with this .

You must first check if you have configured the web server to include the hfm/planning products.
Then you can refer to the thread below:
Not able to see Consolidation Administration
The latter definitely applies to version 9.3.1, but it could be helpful.

  • Unable to access application set in admin console after upgrade to 7.0 M

    Hi Experts
I am unable to access the Application Set through BPC Administration after upgrading our development server to version 7.0 SP3. I followed the instructions as per the Upgrade guide, and there was no issues during the installation. But when trying to access the application set i receive the following error message on step 9  ( 9/10) of during the connection.
Error message: Subquery returned more than 1 value. This is not
    permitted when the subquery follows =, !=, <, <= , >, >= or when the
subquery is used as an expression.
I have done all of the steps outlined as per SAP Note 1242962, but i still receive the error message. I tried to do a SQL Profiler trace, but i have been unable to find the query which returns more than one record.
    Any help is appreciated
    Kind Regards
    Daniel

Interesting that you ask about upgrade vs uninstall/reinstall.
    We were running BPC 5.1
We have also re-installed the Admin client to be the new version.
We have been working with an outside consulting firm to manage our system upgrade/install.
Our dev and qa environments were uninstalled then reinstalled.
When we went to production, our system was intially upgraded.  I do not know why this route was chosen when that was not what was completed on dev/qa.  On our production 'upgrade', we are still working through issues. We then uninstalled iis, sqlserver reporting services, both .net 1.1 and 2.0, and the BPC application. Then reinstall everything and we were getting the same errors.
Our error was at Progress 10/10 Create Database Schema and check Application server collation.
Error Message: Object Reference not set to an instance of an object.
We are able to access the appShell and test copies of the appShell, we were not able to access any custom appSets which were created prior to the upgrade, nor are we able to access any appSets that were created as a copy of the custom appSet after the upgrade.
When logged with SAP, we were directed toward note Note 1331040 - Cannot log into 7M Admin console after restore from version5 noting that we needed to do the following changes:
Note that you will need to change the following:
    INSERT INTO tblDefaults VALUES ('_GLOBAL','Prev_AppSet_Version','','','7.0.112')
    INSERT INTO tblDefaults VALUES ('_GLOBAL','Curr_AppSet_Version','','','7.0.112')
    to
    INSERT INTO tblDefaults VALUES ('_GLOBAL','Prev_AppSet_Version','','','7.0.113')
    INSERT INTO tblDefaults VALUES ('_GLOBAL','Curr_AppSet_Version','','','7.0.113')
The reason is because '7.0.113' means 7 MS SP04 while '7.0.112' means SP03.
There are 8 steps in this note, for us, only the first 2 were needed. I have asked SAP to create new note/update existing accordingly.
With the table entry, we were able to successfully access our app set.
Hope our experiences can help you out.
    Thanks,
    Becky Zick

  • Unable to access endpoints error. What might cause it?

    I got the below error
“Unable to access the following endpoint(s): https://secure-ausomxdsa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration”
I copied and pasted the below url into a browser and I got the “Page Not Found” error
    https://secure-ausomxdsa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration?wsdl
Do you know what might cause this error?
    Thanks

Hi, ok now I see, no you don't if you use bpel, but anyway the ?wsdl url is not reachable in on demand. Url https://secure-ausomxdsa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration is right if you are on pod "dsa". I'm not that familiar with bpel but as far as I know it's simply loading the wsdl into your bpel process and use WS-Security for server side session handling. If you don't send security headers you have to define a login step first but normally this is not necessarry if you add ws security header in your requests.

It appears like something called a shutdown operation. From the last stack:

Was the server in the middle of a shutdown during the deploy?

  • Problem with downloading apps. "Unable to download application" error.Help please!

I'm having a major issue with updating or downloading apps. They won't download! I try to download an app, it's says "waiting", then it looks like it's about to download. Then, suddenly, the "loading"  bar gets halway filled, then it goes back to saying "waiting". This cycles about three or so times and then I get this message: "Unable to download application. Could not be downloaded at this time" with choices to be "done" or "retry".
I have tried EVERYTHING to fix this. I tried pausing the download and restarting, I tried soft and hard resets, I tried signing out and back into the App Store, I tried resetting my settings, I tried restoring the phone as a new iPhone, nothing works! I am at my wits end! I have an appointment at the Genius bar tomorrow, but I'm hoping someone here can help me so I won't have to keep that appointment.  I've tried searching for my problem in the forums but none of the results are like mine. Could someone please help?
EDIT: I also tried checking the iTunes queue. No purchases are stuck in the queue.

Just wanted to update, since I can no longer edit my original post. I tried disabling bluetooth. That didn't do any good, either.

  • Unable to Access Resource Error in AE CS6

    Hello,
I'm running After Effects CS6 11.0 on MAC OSX  and everytime I attempt to apply text, either by creating a new text layer from the drop down menu or dragging open a text box I get
"Unable to Access Resource    P_TextSmallCaps_Sm_N_D (type png)"
Is this a png file missing from the program, a fixable bug or what?
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Run the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, reinstall the program. Something is damaged.

  • How can I fix "unable to download application" error on ipad 2?

When I go to update apps a popup states "unable to download application". Anyone know how to fix this?

I had the same issue. I think it happens when you are synchronising and stop it half way while apps are still being synchronised with iTunes on your computer. Rather than try downloading apps wirelessly just complete the synchronising with the computer by connecting it up with the USB cable and starting the synchronise on iTunes.

  • Unable to access application deployed in OC4J server.

    All,
I have hosted one small application in my local oc4j.
I am able to access the application by giving the following.
    http://localhost:8888/<application>
    http://<hostname>:8888/<application>
    http://<IP address>:8888/<application>
But others( from the same domain) are not able to access this application. They are getting "Connection Timeout" error.
Please let me know is there any setup I am missing ?
    TIA.

There shouldn't be problems for others to access the application. Maybe check the proxy setting?

  • Unable to access/modify wifi after Mavericks installation on MacBook Pro

I've just installed Mavericks OS X on my 2011 MacBook Pro. Although quite slow, everything seemed to go smoothly during the installation process. Once booted up in the new OS, I noticed immediately that I had no wifi connection on the device. I am unable to enable/disable the wifi, and more troubling, any attempt to make changes to Network settings seems to freeze up the System Preferences application. Once this occurs, the machine is basically useless. A series of restarts, shut downs, safe-mode boot ups, etc and eventually I was just getting a blank grey screen after startup (no login screen, mouse visible and working). At this point, I booted via the recovery partition and did a full re-install of the Mavericks OS X. Not surprisingly, it did not fix any of the problems.

Very strange problem (no surprise to you).
I suggest you reset the SMC (and PRAM, if you are able). That cannot hurt and might help.

  • Anyhelp with the "unable to download application error"

This is the second time if have had the issue of applications not being able to download.  Any ideas what causes this and what I can do to fix without needing to do a backp and restore?

Try this ... Go to Settings>Store >Apple ID, tap your ID and sign out. Then reboot the iPad, Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Then go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and sign in again and see if the apps will download.
If you are getting a message to the effect of App Store reports that XXX and XXX other apps cannot be downloaded at this time .... Take a look at this blog and the discussion below.
    http://www.blog.gleff.com/2012/03/app-store-unable-to-purchase-fix/
    This is the discussion.

Bear in mind that a stalled song or podcast download will prevent apps for downloading as well. But typically, when that is the problem, you do not get this error message that you have described. You will get the "waiting" icon and the app just will not download unless you complete the stalled downloads in iTunes.
