Unable to boot bankapp application

I am unable to start bankapp application. tuxconfig got created succesfully and "make -f bankapp.mk" command also executed suucessfully.
[oracle@SJP2VM0140 bankapp]$ make -f bankapp.mk
bankapp.mk processing complete
[oracle@SJP2VM0140 bankapp]$
Hence all servers ( BAL, BTADD, XFER ,ACCT etc..) got created properly.
But "tmboot -y" command gives following error :

Looking at the ubbshm file, i think there are 3 applications clients ( BANKB1, BANKB2,BANKB3) in the single processor machine. Any special configuration changes required for this ?

  • Hello.  Since accepting the upgrade to the current version of I Tunes (11.4) I have been unable to get the application to boot.  I receive the message that I Tunes was not installed correctly and Error 7 (Windows Error 193).

Hello.  Since accepting the upgrade to the current version of I Tunes (11.4) I have been unable to get the application to boot.  I receive the message that I Tunes was not installed correctly and Error 7 (Windows Error 193).  I have uninstalled/reinstalled I Tunes several times and this has not resolved the issue.  I also uninstalled/reinstalled Microsoft.net Framework 4 since this was suggested by Apple support.  This also has not resolved the issue.
When I reinstall I Tunes, I get a message that the “Service ‘apple mobile device’ failed to start.”  Verify you have sufficient privileges to start system services.  I attempted to manually start the Apple Mobile Device service but get a pop up stating, “Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.”Unsure what I should try next.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if one component, such as Apple Mobile Device Support, won't install normally.
In your case I suggest you start with a clean download of the setup file using the direct link. If reinstalling AMDS alone doesn't work try tearing everything down again.

  • Unable to open any applications in administrator account

My OS is 10.6.2. Just tonight, I was unable to open any applications in my administrator account (Safari, iCal, iTunes, calculator, system preferences, etc.). In other words, I can't do anything while logged into my administrator account. However, everything works fine if I log into the guest account. Any suggestions? I have restarted my computer and that did not help.

What happens when you try to launch applications? Do you see error messages?
Check the behavior in Safe Mode by restarting the computer with the Shift key held down. Booting will take a while longer--this is normal, so just be patient.

  • Unable to Boot - Stoping at Blue Screen

    Help Please.
I am unable to boot. I get to the blue screen but will not go to login page.
I can boot in safe mode and from install disk.
I have run disk utility and repaired disk & permissions.
I have also reset PRAM. Also removed login items from my account.
I have even done a archive and restore.
The only thing i havent done is removed any third-party items out of the /Library/StartupItems as I am not sure what items to remove.
I am at a loss as what to do next and would really appreciate any help I can get. Thanks in advance.

    Darren:
It seems like your OS is not quite right. If you decide to re-install, first be sure that you make a good backup of everything you cannot afford to lose, then do a complete reformat, zero or erase, re-install and restore from backup. Here are some step-by-step directions you might find helpful:
Formatting, Partitioning Zeroing a Hard Disk Drive
Warning! This procedure will destroy all data on your Hard Disk Drive. Be sure you have an up-to-date, tested backup of at least your Users folder and any third party applications you do not want to re-install before attempting this procedure.
Boot from the install CD holding down the "C" key.
    Select language
Go to the Utilities menu (Tiger) Installer menu (Panther & earlier) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in left side bar.
Select Partition tab in main panel. (You are about to create a single partition volume.)
Select number of partition in pull-down menu above Volume diagram.
(Note: 1 partition is normally better for an internal HDD. External HDDs usually have more than one. See Dr. Smoke’s FAQ Backup and Recovery for tips on partitioning external HDD.)
Type in name in Name field (usually Macintosh HD)
Select Volume Format as Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
Click Partition button at bottom of panel.
    Select Erase tab
Select the sub-volume under Manufacturer ID (usually Macintosh HD).
Check to be sure your Volume Name and Volume Format are correct.
Optional:Select on Security Options button (Tiger) Options button (Panther & earlier).
Select Zero all data. (This step take several hours.)
    Click OK.
    Click Erase button
    Quit Disk Utility.
Open installer and begin installation process.
Please post back with further questions or comments.
    Good luck.

  • [Solved] Unable to boot (startup job is running)

    Hi there!
Today I went home and tried to boot my laptop there, but was unable to boot Arch.
Before I went home I did a system update using  ' sudo pacman -Syu '  and shut the laptop off normally. Right now I get the following message whilst booting:
" A startup job is running for dev-disk...25EFDCE0.device"
It fails after 1 min. 30s and shows a time out error for dependency /mnt/6776F38425EFDCE0, and refuses to boot. I waited for 5 min. but the only thing working at that stage is the shut down button (which appears to enter a normal shutdown mode).
Grub 2 is functioning; Windows 8 boots up fine (same HDD); though all options to boot arch fail because of the 'startup job error message'.
Do any of you know how I can fix this, or how to boot/fix arch such that I can attempt to fix it? Based on a search trough this forum it might be an error in FSTAB,  although all cases reported on this forum appear to boot normally after the 'a startup job is running 'error message'.
    Many thanks.

    Thank you for your response.
Changing the UUID's to /dev/sdaX did not do it's magic, unfortunately. The ' a start job'  message is gone, the boot however gets stuck at
/dev/sda2 clean .... (beginning of boot)
Unfortunately I did not properly save the back-up of my fstab file, so the initial set up is lost. Was able to acces arch using alt+f2 and have restored it manually with
    lsblk -f
It currently looks like this. I did have a line to automount my data partition (/dev/sda4, label: Data), but didn' t know how to restore that one as that line got deleted too.  My gut says this automount was causing the initial error, but it should boot up normally with the current fstab file, right?

Hi, I've missed three weeks of classes because of the same error listed above.  Everything was fine and Blackboard Collaborate Elluminate worked almost effortlessly for 5 or 6 weeks.  Suddenly I tried to log in for a live lecture and this error occurred.  Other students were having trouble and still are.  Tech support at the school couldn't fix it, so they referred me to Blackboard Collaborate tech support (level 2).  They haven't been able to fix it either.  They recommended the same steps listed at the top of this email.  I executed all of them but still receive the same error.  Additionally, at one point, I was unable to install Java.  Funny things seem to happen when I get on the line with tech support to solve this problem, although funny things don't happen during the other work I do on this computer.  Technical language, I know.  :-)
In an effort to pass the class, I am doing research on own to try to fix this and get into the lectures.
I am getting the same error listed above but am not a developer and don't understand how to get to JNLP to enter the fix listed above (if someone has a hint, I'd love to try that fix).
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Here are steps taken so far:
    1. Clear Java Installed Apps and Applets (Control Panel - Java 32-bit - SEttings - Delete files - Installed apps and applets - ok - ok - ok)
    2.  Delete all files in Downloads folder (from all browsers)
    3.  Allow Java in Windows firewall (Start screen - hold down Windows key and W - Search for "firewall" - Navigate to Java program name - click all boxes and save)
    4.  Ran CCleaner to remove all temporary internet files, cookies, etc. that could be interfering
    5.  When nothing else worked, uninstalled and reinstalled Java twice (on the second time, it took over a dozen tries to reinstall Java - suddenly it just worked) and both times I deleted the Sun folder (C:/Users/Me/appdata/LocalLow/Sun) at the direction of tech support
    6.  Removed old registry entries both times using CCleaner
    7.  Rebooted (something done all along the way to see if it helped)
    8.  Tried to access live classes and recordings from multiple lectures through Blackboard Collaborate Elluminate and received the same error (details included below)
    9.  Tried to access Blackboard Collaborate Elluminate with Windows firewall on, then Windows firewall off, then ZoneAlarm Extreme firewall on, then ZoneAlarm Extreme firewall off (and entire associated software package); when on, ZoneAlarm gives "super" trusted status to all parts of Java listed and gives green checkmarks for all parts of Java listed and all levels of security
    10.  End results so far:  receiving same error - nothing works
Here's the error followed by a copy of all text from the details section.

  • 2009 Macbook unable to boot in any fashion

I was recently given a broken Macbook from a friend who didn't want it anymore, and had no interest in fixing it. It's a 13.3" Macbook from 2009 with a 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of 1066MHz RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce 9400M. Since I can't get it to boot, and am not super familiar with Apple OS's (I'm more of a linux guy to be honest), I'm not entirely sure which version of OS X it's running, but from the production date my best guess would be Snow Leopard.
So now to the problem. The first time I turned it on it booted to the login screen with no problem. Unfortunately that was the only time it worked. Now when I press the power button, it goes to the gray screen with the Apple logo, and the progresses to a blank blue screen. After approximately 5 seconds the screen goes black, and flickers in a somewhat periodic manner until I manually turn off the computer. In an attempt to fix it I tried to boot it in safe mode, but experienced the same problem. Next I tried to boot it off of an Ubuntu Live USB, but was unable to access the boot menu, and was therefore unable to boot off the flash drive.
After doing a bit more research, I tried resetting the PRAM and NVRAM. I started the computer, pressing and continuing to hold the "option-command-p-r" key combination before the gray screen as per the instructions given at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379, but encountered the same progression of screens as I previously had, thus the only reasonable assumption is that it did not successfully reset. Next I tried resetting the SMC. I removed the battery, disconnected the the power adapter, and depressed the power button for 10 seconds, but this as well had no effect.
Next I tried to run fsck by booting into single-user mode. Though it booted to what appeared to be the functional single-user mode command line prompt, after the line ":/ root#" I was unable to type any commands, and once again had to manually shut down the computer. On another attempt to boot is single user mode the message
    :/ root# AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement: initialization complete
Broadcom2045FamilyUSBBluetoothHCIController::start booting in single user ... will wait for later
[HCICcontroller][configurePM] power parent ready after 1 tries
and another try yielded a last line identical to the first line of the above message, with the lower two lines appearing above it.
I then, tested the RAM by trying all 6 permutations of the two 1GB sticks. With each configuration I tried to boot the computer normally, in safe mode, and in single-user mode, but in all 6 configurations the computer behaved exactly like (with the exception of it spending more time on the gray screen with Apple logo during the normal boot procedure when it was being run in the 4 positions that had only 1GB of RAM rather than the standard 2GB, but that was to be expected) it had been.
    Five notes of interest.
    1) The power adapter she gave me with it is an 85 watt model, whereas the stock power adapter appears to have been a 45 watt version, but this should neither have contributed to my current problem, nor caused any damage to the computer whatsoever
    2) The computer is unable to be turned on without being unplugged and removing the battery first. That is to say, after an unsuccessful boot attempt I must remove then replace the battery in order to try again.
    3) The battery is not defective, and is capable of holding a charge
    4) The screen was replaced at some point in the last 2 - 3 months
    5) I have read of a similar problem occurring with Macbooks that have had a new hard drive installed, but as far as I can tell the hard drive in it is the stock 160GB one that came stock with the computer
Thank you for taking the time to read this post, and for any advice or help you can provide.

Despite nobody having answered, I'll keep updating.
I noticed today that as well as having to remove the battery each time before trying to start the computer, it also will not start if the power adapter is plugged in.

  • Satellite P100-347: Blue screen appears on start up - unable to boot volume

Recently I left my 2 younger brothers playing NFS Carbon on my satellite P100-347, preinstalled with media centre 2005 edition, and now it fails to startup.
During the startup process eventually a blue screen is displayed for about a second and then it shutsdown (I manged to make out the words "unable to boot volume" from the blue screen).
I tried booting with an XP media centre DVD but it only gives me an option of reinstalling the OS with a price of losing all my very important data. Normally I would have recovered the system but I don't want to lose my data.
Is there anything i can do other than taking it to a technician?

    Hi
Well, mostly the BSOD appears due to a hardware problem or serious software issue.
In your case the software problem is possible
Unfortunately, I think the new OS installation is the best way to get the notebook running correctly.
Now you want to know how to save the data and files well, I think you should remove the HDD from notebook and should try to connect the 2.5 HDD via external USB controller to another computer. Then you could save the files on the other HDD
I think, now you know that the regular backups are important and necessary!!!!

  • Unable to boot from cloned MacOS 10.6.8 server

    Hi there,
we've successfully restored a MacOS 10.6.8 server image to an Intel Xserve. However, there seems to be a boot cache issue. Sometimes I am unable to boot and MacOS Server won't restart. The Xserve restarts twice on the gray Apple screen. Than it's hanging on the gray Apple screen. no disk activity for minutes. I've waited 30 minutes. I had to power down the server. After that the  server boots normally. no errors in verbose mode during startup.
I am using 3 volumes (all 3 using the same system clone). All Bay drives using the original Apple Disks. They are brand new. <29 hours.
Resetting the NVRAM a couple of times didn't solve the issue. The booting error is reproducible. This system runs fine and it's really clean. I just installed the latest MacOS 10.6.8 combo Update
I don't know what else I can I do? I really appreciate any help on this.

Sorry for the delay in responding.
Thank you, Peter. The Xserve running fine so far. We've had any boot issue.
