Unable to connect to iSCSI target from PC

We have just installed Storage Server 2012 R2 on a disk array box with 4TB of storage. We installed and configured the iSCSI server software and created a LUN. In Server Manager > File ans Storage Services > iSCSI I see the VM-Store.fhdx file in the
iSCSI VIRTUAL DISKS pane. Below, in the iSCSI TARGETS pane i see the listing for the target.
Both show "Connected" in the Target Status column. From outside the server (on the LAN) I launched the iSCSI Initiator applet in the control panel/administrator tools. I clicked on the "Discovery" tab in the iSCSI Initiator Properties
dialog box and typed in the IP address of the Windows 2012 server. On the Targets tab it's all blank. If I manually enter the IP address in the Quick Connect box at the top and click the Quick Connect button I get a dialog that shows "No targets available
for using Quick Connect" in the status box at the bottom.
CHAP is NOT being used yet so it's not a CHAP issue. What else can I try to make this work? It's holding up a project we desperately need to get online.

Hi,
Do you mean that you get the error "No Targets available for Login using Quick Connect"? I did a test on my pc, and have the same error with you. A workaround for the issue is to enter the server name in the Quick Connect box to connect the iSCSI target.

Unable to connect to Forms 6i from Oracle 9i

Hi,
I have Oracle 9.2.0 (Personal edition) and Forms 6i installed on a Win2K PC.
I am able to connect to the DB from SQLPLUS. But, I am unable to connect to the DB from Forms 6i. I was getting a ORA-12203 error. Then I configured the DB connection through the Net Easy Config. Also I tried to copy the network/admin/tnsnames.ora file from my database ORACLE_HOME to the Developer Suite ORACLE_HOME. Now I am getting the ORA-12222 TNS: No such protocol adapter error.
Can anyone suggest where I am going wrong and what is that I need to do to resolve the problem.

Normaly forms6i uses Tnsnames.ora file to connect to the database. You need to setup your Tnsnames.ora file correctly by clicking Start---Programs---Directory for Oracle--Oracle net8 easy config, and configure your database connection.

Unable to Connect to Oracle VMs from network

Hi,
I have problem connectivity problem in my virtual machines.I am unable to connect to XEN VMs from my network. But my domU is visible in my route in the network as an attached device with the correct mac address. But I am unable to connect to other computers from my domU and vise versa. Please help.

I have a Dell Power Edge Server with 1 network card. I have installed VMWare ESXi 5 on it. Created several Windows 2003 Servers Virtual Machines. Networking is working fine all these windows machines. On one of the virtual machines I have installed Oracel VM Server 2.2.2 (Dom0) and on top of it I am trying to install Oracle VM Template for Oracle 11g provided by Oracle. I am having connectivity issues on the Oracle 11gDB (DomU). I can ping and ssh from Dom0 to DomU and vice versa. But I cannot connect the Oracle DB machine from any other machine. I can connect the Oracle VM Server (Dom0) from other computers in my network.
Any clue what the issue is ?

Hi,
Few things to note:
1. Are you using Java Admin launchpad or the .NET one and if its Java then is it deployed on the same machine as this custom java application?
2. Looks like this app is running off JBOSS and JBOSS is unsupported for Enterprise Web application Deployments.
3. You can trace on the CMS and see if its actually getting the request from the application.

I am new to setting up oracle server so pls bear with me...
I setup a db server (11g on top of 64bit Oracle Linux) at home (static 192.168.1.90). I verified that db, listener are up and running. However, I tried to connect to the server from a different client machine (192.168.1.108) within my home network but the server cannot be reached. I was able to ping both client and server using the IP addresses and hostnames. I followed the following steps to perform troubleshooting but was unable to move on beyond step 3, telnet-ing the server on port 1521. Can someone help me out what I should do make the port # (1521) is reachable by the client?
1. Check with "ping" using the IP address ("ping 198.11.34.43"
2. Check with "ping" using DNS name (e.g. "tnsping uranus")
3. Try telnet to the IP on port 1521 (telnet 1.2.3.4 1521)
4. Check with "tnsping" using TNS service name
5. Invoke SQL*Plus from the OS command line "sqlplus fred@flintstone". If this fails, check to ensure that your listener is the flintstone service defined.
6. Sign-on to SQL*Plus and connect with the TNS name ("connect fred/flintstome@service_name"
7. Within SQL*Plus, try a select from table@remote_db_link

Unable to connect to my wifi from Time capsule

Hello am trying to conect mi iphone 4s to my wifi account from time capsule, my macbook connect perfectly also my ipad, but my iphone aways copme with teh unable to connect, i did the reset network, and doesnt work

Put the TC in bridge before you plug it in.. ie do the setup in isolation to the rest of the network..
I would also start a new wireless name on the TC so it is different to the cable router..
If you want to be exacting also set wireless channels so the cable router is set to say channel 1 and the TC set to 11 for 2.4ghz. Then plug it in.. you will have no trouble as the TC will get an ip address as part of the existing networking.. then extend the wireless using the extreme.

BIA 7.9.6.1 Unable to connect to Informatica services from DAC

As a learning exercise, I have installed the following on a single Windows XP machine (Am aware that Windows XP is not supported for Informatica Service install - but currently have access to only this machine)
- OBIA 7.9.6.1
- Informatica 8.6.1 client & services with hotfix 6
- DAC client & server
I have created the Repository and Integration services in Informatica PowerCenter and are running in normal mode
I have configured the DAC as per installation document. I am now trying to configure the DAC Integration Settings for informatica.
I am unable to register an Integration service or a repository service and get the following errors,
On testing the Integration Service registration
Failure connecting to "INFORMATICA_DW_SERVER"!
And in the log file I find

HI All,
I fixed the first part of the issue. Now I am able to connect top the Integration Service. I created system environment variable INFA_DOMAINS_FILE and included the BIN path in PATH variable.
However unable to connect to the Informatica Repository service. I am getting the follwoing error

Unable to connect to 10g database from developer suite 10g

I have loaded oracle 10g on my server with OS windows 2003 and it is working fine.Now I have installed Oracle developer suite 10g on windows XP client . we have configured local listener also and its entry is found in tnsnames.ora
My database name is mbxdata .
I have defined my host name as
MBXDATA.mbxnet.com in tnsnames but I am unable to connect to the database since I get error as ORA-12154 : TNS :could not resolve the connect identifier specified.
Please suggest matter urgent.

We are having the same issue now. Was this ever resolved? We created 2 new databases and added those entries in both tnsnames on the local pc, and the tnsnames on the application server. Able to connect via sqlplus, toad, etc. but not through forms developer. We are running 10g app server, 10g developer suite, 10g databases. Any ideas?
