Unable to create network users in Server App

Hello.
When trying to create a new user in Server Application I've come across this message:
"existing connection is not authenticated: password change denied".
Tried resolving it using the suggestions in the thread http://support.apple.com/kb/HT20001
   1. Quit Server.app.
   2. On the Open Directory Server, execute these Terminal commands:
      sudo touch /var/db/openldap/migration/.rekerberize
      sudo killall PasswordService
   3. Open Server.app.
but the message I'm given in the terminal is No such file or directory.
Does somebody know why I don't have the folder structure needed for this?

Do this first, then try again:
sudo mkdir /var/db/openldap/migration

Hi,
I'm having problems getting our Nexus 7000 to authenticate users from our Windows domain. If I set up a user within the ACS server and use the CiscoSecure database for password authentication it works fine.
In the logs on the nexus I receive the following messages when logging on using my windows account.
%AUTHPRIV-3-SYSTEM_MSG: Unable to create temporary user 16894. Error 0x404a0036 - login[20923]
%AUTHPRIV-3-SYSTEM_MSG: pam_aaa:Authentication failed for user 16894 from 10.128.45.44 - login[20923]
We can log on to all other Cisco OS devices using windows domain accounts, its just the Nexus.

No errors the autnetication on the ACS is showing as passed. The problem is I get an access denied message from the nexus switch,

Unable to create a User in Planning (Very Urgent)

Hi All,
I am Using Planning 4.0 version. When I am trying to create a user from Planning Web it is throwing me the below Error:
User Name is Invalid: test
I tried giving different usernames but no luck.
Is this a bug??? Are there any log files which I can look at for more information.

But I have this user access couple of weeks back. I do not know where to check for the log files.
This user is available in Active directory and can access production database. But I am unable to create the same user in developement environment. Even I tried to create couple of users who are in the Actice directory. I am unable to create any users.
Where should I check to get more information in order to resolve this issue.
Please let me know your inputs

SolMan 4.0 Solaris / Oracle install: Unable to create account user

Am I getting this error during step 2 (Create users for SAP System) of the Solution Manager 4.0 installation. This error occurs when SAPinst is trying to create account "orasol" for system "SOL".

Hello Thomas,
It looks like a Solaris issue. Check if the home directory
/home is reserved in the Solaris configuration.
Check if this fix the problem please perform the following steps:
1. modify /etc/auto_master file to change the entry for '/home' to say
'/autohome' instead
2. reboot
3. rmdir /home
4. ln -s /export/home /home (make sure /export/home exists)
Also you could create soladm manually in advance.

Unable to create connection to Application Server Control from JDev

Hi All,
I am unable to create connection to Application Server Control of SOA Suite from JDeveloper and getting following error:
Error getting OC4J Process for: opmn-home+oc4j-<hostname>-<OPMN Port>-default:
Error connecting to OPMN (is it running?): Connection refused: connect
I restarted all OPMN processes...still getting the same error.

Hi.
I got a similar error sometime ago.
It was related to OPMN not getting bound to the correct server IP. It happened because my SOA Suite was installed in one machine that does not have a fixed IP (or uses loopback adapter) and then I tried to connect to this SOA Suite from another machine, using JDev.
I checked this by running "opmnctl debug". then you can see on what IP the opmn is listening on.
Didn't know how to solve this.

Unable to login network user from login windom. SSH login ok.

I have a MacOS 10.6 client and ldap network users server by MacOS 10.4 Server. Trying to login via the login window I get "Logging in..." which tries forever (or until I reboot).
* SSH login works fine with network users.
* Local users can login.
* Network access is allowed by all users (Preferences->Login)
* Removing ~/Library/ from the network user doesn't work.
Logging in via SSH while the login screen is hanging I get:

I cannot create the mobile account (real username replaced here with '<username>'). This is true whether I run the command as root or as the user in question (via ssh):

Creating Network User

I'm having difficulty figuring out how to create a network user account in the Server App. I'm in the "Users" pane, and I don't see an option to create a new network user. Upon choosing "create new user", there isn't an option to make anything other than a local account for the server.
I have Open Directory turned on, and I have the server bound to the open directory server that I have set up.
What am I missing?

I have something very similar. Runiing a mini server on 10.9.2 and Server 3.0.
I have a small network: server has 2 local accounts and there are about 10 network users. Not sure when, but all my network users are now showing their Home Folder location as "Custom". Clicking on the drop down menu shows only 2 additional choices, "Local only" and the name of an external disk connected to the server.Trying to create a new user gives the following choices for home folder: Local only, the external hard drive and None, Services only. Network user is not part of the choices given.
The Mini startup disk has all the accounts I had created before, the 2 local accounts and home folders for each of my network users. Would very much like to get a few hints as to how this can be fixed.

Unable to create new user thru Portal

I am unable to create user from the oracle portal web page under the Administer tab.
I have logged in as user PORTAL30 which has DBA rights.
When I click the Create new user link, it generates an error page WWC-00000.
Would appreciate if any can help me out urgently.

Thanks for the solution. It worked fine after changing servername to lowercase.
The servername was set in in httpd.conf by the 9iAS installer itself. I would like to express that Oracle should have checked before launching or should have listed it in the release notes.

Firstly, I tried creating a user("newUserName") with Windows AD authentication, Failed. Below is the Error Message
Update Error:
There was an error while writing data back to the server: Creation of the user newUserName cannot complete because the user is not a member in any of the mapped groups.
Secondly, I created a user with Enterprise Authentication. Then I tried assigning a new alias.
Below is the error message that was thrown:

if you want to allow a Windows AD user to login into the BOBJ system using her/histials then you have to assign her/him to a Windows AD group (on the WIndows AD server) that has been added to the BOBJ system. You can add a group in the CMC under Authentication->Windows AD->Mapped AD Member Groups

Adobe Acrobat 9.41 Pro+ on Snow Leopard 10.6.5 + Network users (Windows server 2008) = CRASH!

Adobe Acrobat 9.41 Pro will work “great” on the admin account, however through the active directory log on of network users, every user gets the long crash report upon opening the application.
Permissions are set so “everyone” can gain access, however the crash issue is not a decent setting on the Mac environment.
Will welcome any thoughts..comments… and suggestions.

Unable to create service user Installation

Hi am unable to create PIAPPLUSER service user.Am installing NW2004s on AIX.
Its using the BAPI_USER_CREATE1 to create the user, everything is successful but at last it gets a message RFC connection closed.Is this some thing to do with SLD? I have installed ABAP+JAVA system as per standard ABAP will take care of java datasourse.
But we can create the user in identity management, I could not create the user in identity management.
In R3 for j2ee_admin user i have given the role SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION and SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO
I am phasing the issue when i create the user in identity management :
Current user has user creation permissions in the UME, but cannot create users in the back-end system (data source). The original and possibly untranslated message was: "No active writeable datasource found for user creation, check your Persistence Configuration.".

Ess error & unable to create new user

hi gurus...
i new to portal and i m facing problem in ess and user creation ...
1 .) my ess is showing the following error
Service cannot be reached
What has happened?

Unable to create new user on Win 8.1

I have a new laptop running Win 8.1 pro. Using my 'main' account everything is good and the laptop is connected to the internet.
I try to create a new user for my daughter by selecting "change pc settings" from the charms bar, then new account. I enter the email address for my daughter's existing microsoft account - one that works fine when used to login on a different win8.1
laptop.
When I try to login on the new laptop using the new account I get the message "The user profile service failed the sign-in" On checking the event log I can see the following sequence of warnings / errors:
*Windows cannot copy file \\?\C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VSCommon\12.0\SQM\sqmdata-7204-039-00000.sqm to location \\?\C:\Users\georg_000\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VSCommon\12.0\SQM\sqmdata-7204-039-00000.sqm. This error may be caused by network
problems or insufficient security rights.

I shall suggest you to go through a System Restore.
Select any restore point when there was no such issue.

Unable to create a User on LDAP instance

Hi,
I'm trying to add a user on LDAP resource. But every time when i try to assign this resource, i recieve the below error:
"*Missing attribute nmid required by identity template for resource "XXXXLDAP*"
The Identity Template is *uid=$nmid$,ou=Users,ou=ItemWorkFlow,ou=Application,o=auth*
The user's "nmid" is properly updated.
One more thing is, when we try creating users on this LDAP server with the help of Flat File Active Sync process by inputting a CSV file on IdM, the users are properly getting created!
But assigning the resource directly from IdM is not working fine, which is something strange!!
Can anyone help us on this
