Unable to deploy BPM projects with human tasks from BPC

I’m trying to edit and deploy a BPM process from Business Process Composer (web based tool). To do it, I followed the steps below:
1.     I created I project in JDeveloper
2.     I created the Human task from using the “Auto-generate task form” option
3.     I converted it to a template
4.     I published it to BPM MDS
5.     On Business Process Composer I created I new project based on my published template
6.     And I finally I deployed it with no errors.
When I ran the BPM it creates I human task but I’m not able to access its form on Business Process Workspace.
On Business Process Workspace I can see the task created by my BPM process, but when I click on it to access its form I get a 404 message (message below).
Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.4.5 404 Not Found
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
I think this error occur because my Task form project was not deployed. To fix it I undeployed all the applications and then I deployed the BPM application with all its tasks forms from JDeveloper. It worked fine (I can actually access the task form on Business Process Workspace), but now I’m not able to edit the BPM process on Business Process Composer anymore.
Then I finally repeated the steps 3 to 6 on top of this post in order to make the BMP process editable on Business Process Workspace but this time I receive the error at the end of this post taken from server log.
No matters if I publish the project on MDS BMP repository as a template project or as non template project. I always have the same problem.
So, how can I use a BPM project that contains Human Tasks forms on Business Process Composer?
I’m using:

I came across the same issue, and now resolved it like this.
Firstly, you shouldn't deploy QuoteProcessLab with other UILabs like ApproveDealUILab and so on. So, if you already did it, then go to Weblogic EM and undeploy it.
Secondly, you should deploy each of UILab separately as standalone application. So, deploy EnterQuiteUILab, BUsinessPracticesUILab, and so on each. These will run independently behind and when your project created based on template in the Composer runs, it will link each of these on human task.
Thirdly, publish you QuoteProcessLab. And follow the book about how to create a project based on template in the Composer.
Just one thing you should be careful with is, when you do auto-generation for human task, it sometimes doesn't work fully, unfinished halfway through. So, make sure that the icon 'go to existing business form taskflow' in .task file takes you to the human taskflow.
If it fails, do another auto-generation. Sometimes DataBindings.cpx can get corrupted by JDev, but let's not go too far for now.
Mostly, it will work.

  • Working with Human Task Service

    Hello everybody,
    I'm trying to do some exercises with Human Task Service and ADF, but I have no clue how to do it. Ok here is what I'm trying to do. I've got a small BPMN process, which calls a WebService and gets a list of locations. Afterwards the locations are passed to the user task. A location is composed of the following elements: street (string), city (string) and a zipcode (integer).
    The user should be able to select a startLocation, an endLocation and a startDate when he wants to do his trip. The result should be passed to the process.
    So far I've created an Human Task with the following parameters: a list of locations, a start location, an end location and a date. I used the autocreation tool to create an adf form. The tool always creates a single table for the locationList and uses input fields for all the elements of startLocation and endLocation. But I want to use 2 selectOneChoice lists, one for startLocation and one for endLocation. An item in the selectOneChoice list should be a single String containing street, city and zipcode.
    Could somebody tell me the basic steps to do so? Where and how can I do the transformation of a 'location' into a single string and vice versa? How to bind a selectOneChoice to locationList and startLocation?
    Thank you in advance, Chris

    You should be able to drag the parameter of the method over to the page and choose to drop it as a selectOneChoice component - you'll then need to bind it to a data control that will provide the possible list of values.
    Here is how you would do this conversion of a parameter to a dropdown list in an ADF BC case:

  • Can I build an user Interface using a proccess with Human Task?

    Hi,
    I'm building an application, web application, with a several screens. The application just will be used for entering some data and depending on the data entered, some bpel process will be launched.
    I'm thinking about implementing a MVC using a BPEL Process with Human Task. I mean: I'll make everything with bpel process (*including the application*). I would make a bpel process with some human task. This process would be like a Spring Webflow file or similar. Each screen wouldl be a human task but with synchronus nature. Will it be possible? Will it be so complicated? Is it usual?
    Other way would be making a web application to enter data and then launch a proccess that will record the information in the database. That would be the normal way.
    Thank you so much.

    Hello,
    There's a more powerfull solution you may use.
    You can create a View. Some Views can be updatable (it means that it's possible to update
    the Table from the View) and, you can add constraints (Primay Key) on a View.
    For instance:
    CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW {color:red}User2.view_name{color}
    ({color:red}col1{color}, {color:red}col2{color}
    UNIQUE RELY DISABLE NOVALIDATE,
    CONSTRAINT {color:red}pk_view{color}
    PRIMARY KEY {color:red}col1{color}) RELY DISABLE NOVALIDATE
    ) AS
    SELECT {color:red}col1{color},{color:red}col2{color} FROM {color:red}User1.Table1{color};This example is from the link bellow:
    [http://www.psoug.org/reference/views.html]
    Hope it can help.
    Best regards,

    In our environment problem with remove task from schedule by PWA.

    In my opinion problem is with calculation schedule after remove tasks, column ID include wrong value it means that Number ID does not generate in the correct order same of numer
    disappear. Click Calculate button on ribbon causes problem with finshed operation and save project.
    Problem occurs only machine with IE 11.0 browser without compability mode, on other machine for example on the same project with IE 8,9,10 everything is correct.
    Problem appeared recently, earlier everything was OK.
    Txn, Dariusz Moczyński

    Hi Darius,
    I'm a bit confused. You are now talking about 2 issues.
    For the first one, you cannot edit anymore tasks in PWA, with any browser versions? Is it happenonog for any users on any projects? Try the following solutions publish the project from Project Pro and see if it helps. Press CTRL F5 to delete IE cache. Ensure
    that your PWA URL is added to the trusted site and/or compatibility sites. Check for the ULS logs or javascript errors.
    For the second issue, please refer to my previous reply, this obviously cannot be considered as a bug since it is happening with a non supported browser version and working properly on supported versions of IE.
    Hope this helps,

  • Initiate Human Task from Mediator

    Hello,
    In SOA Suite 11g, I'm calling a human task from a mediator. How do I pass the input value for the mediator as a parameter for the human task? In other words, how do I assign the input for the mediator to a parameter defined in the human task?
    I've been looking for examples, posts, and documentation on how to do this. I can't seem to find any examples. Am I missing something?
    Thanks

    I found that initiating a human task from a mediator does not work well. I ended up changing the process to initiate the human workflow from a bpel process. It now works very well.

  • BPM 11g deployment error when include Human Task

    During deployment, when I include a Human Task in my BPM 11g project, the deployment fails.  The error message in JDeveloper is:
    Weblogic Server Exception: weblogic.application.ModuleException:
    Caused by: weblogic.common.ResourceException: weblogic.common.ResourceException: Could not create pool connection. The DBMS driver exception was: [unixODBC][Driver Manager]Data source name not found, and no default driver specified
    If I don't include the Human Task application in deployment, it's fine.  I used the Auto Create feature to generate the ADF project/form.  I've deleted and recreated the Human Task, but that hasn't helped.
    What can cause this error?  I've googled for days, but have not found anything similar.

    Kunwar - Thank you very much for your reply.  I checked in EM under Applications, and there is no application with the name of my Human Task application that is part of my BPM project.  To be sure, I just rebooted the server and checked again, but it is not there, and the reboot did not solve the problem.
    I'm not sure if this is related to the problem, but here is some other information.  A few days ago when I tried to redeploy just the BPM project (keeping save revision, and checking "Overwrite any existing composites"), I received a null pointer exception error.  Since then, I must Undeploy the BPM Application using EM to then redeploy it using JDeveloper.  Here is the error I was getting:

  • Process with Human Task (Deployment problem)

    Hi Every1,
    I'm a rookie BPEL developer who ran into a problem. I'm using a separate machine as SOA server, because I couldn't install it on my dev machine for some unknown reason. In the beginning, after setting up the necessary connection settings in Jdev everything worked fine. But when I use a Human task in my process flow and auto generate a task form for it then I can't deploy my process to the server anymore. I've found this problem in other topics, but none of the solutions worked in my case. There are mainly two reasons mentioned: 1. RMI settings - Tried to set it in build.properties, but nothing changed. 2. JDK version differs on dev machine and server - In my case, both the dev machine and the server has exactly the same version (1.5.0_06). Is there any other ideas what could be wrong?
    Thanks,
    Peter Neumann

    Hi All,
    The problem was caused by the JDev version I used.
    I used the version 10.1.3.4., but found a thread which suggested that I should use 10.1.3.3. instead. And it works!
    Here is the thread where I found this info:

  • Unable to select an outcome in human task

    Folks,
    I’ve been trying to get a simple human task to work but as of yet I am unable to. I’ve followed the instructions in the BPEL Process Manager Developer’s Guide (10.1.3) and am using the “Auto Generate Simple Task Form” to create the display.
    I can deploy the process without incident and am able to claim the task and see parameters passed in. I am not, however, able to see or select the outcome (which I have defined as ‘Approve’ and ‘Reject’).

    Is there any update to this thread? I am seeing the same or similar problem. I'm using BPEL 10.1.3.3.
    I've created a task with two possible custom outcomes "BE" or "NOT_BE". Anyone in the oc4j-administrators group can claim the task instance. I use the auto task form generator.
    As in the thread, I can claim the task instance (as oc4jadmin) and the task form displays (including one parameter that I defined in the payload); however, the only Task Action available in the dropdown list for selection is "Release". My expectation would be to see "BE", "NOT_BE", and "Release" as available actions.
    Using bpeladmin yields identical results.

  • How deploy BPM process with ADF form?

    Hi everybody,
    I'm a newbie on BPM (11g) and ADF. I've created a BPM process and an ADF train into the same project.
    I was wonder if I can deploy the ADF stuff and start to test only the train before hook up the ADF form with the UserActivity.
    How I can do that? How can deploy it? Better create a jar or ear?
    Any suggestions?
    Best Regards.
    Fairlie

    Hi Daniel,
    yes I have two separate projects - BPM and ADF - in the same applications.
    For now, I'd like to work only on ADF project implementing the front end that I will use in next future into my BPM project.
    Every time I click on Run on the main page in ADF project, JDev tries to deploy the entire application.
    I need to work only on ADF for now and testing it. The soa server is on remote server.
    I've tried to deploy the ADF project on remote server and I get this error:
    'Weblogic Server Exception: weblogic.application.ModuleException: Failed to load webapp
    Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.adf.model.servlet.ADFBindingFilter'.
    I've checked the oracle.adf.model library class path and It's ok...so I do not understand why I get this error.
    What do you think is better to do? Trying to deploy the ADF with war, jar or ear...or...?
    Thanks a lot for any suggestions.
    Fairlie

  • Reject flow with Human Tasks

    Hi, I'm trying to model something similar to picture 10.1-1 in the %BPA_SUITE_HOME%\doc\en\method_manual_s.pdf. The only diference is that I use Human tasks instead of processes.
    I describe my model a bit:
    * I have 2 pools.
    * In each pool I have one Human Task (A and B):
    - HT A fill in a document with data
    - HT B validate the data and let the flow go on or ask HT A for more information.
    * HT A sends a message (through a message flow connection) to HT B
    * In case HT B rejects the document, it goes back to HT A. I modeled this by putting an XOR (data-based) Gateway and a message flow to HT A. In case HT B accepts the document I put a sequence flow to another activity in the same pool of HT B
    Is the model clear? In case it is clear, I explain the error I'm getting:
    When I try to transform BPMN process to BPEL process, I get a pop up that says:
    "Unable to perform transformation.
    Internal error.
    There are semantic errors in this model. The errors have been displayed on the model"
    After that warning a signal appears on the upper-right corner of HT A with the following tooltip:
    "This node is being cross-referenced. Please remove one of the incoming connections"
    is it posible to go back to (reinstantiate) a Human Task?
    Thanks in advance.
    Neuquino

    This relates to a (structural) problem translating between BPMN and BPEL: BPEL has no goto, BPMN does. (See my blog about the subject: http://www.approach-alliance.nl/index.php?option=com_jd-wp&Itemid=2&p=31 )
    From a business process point of view: is the task you redirect the flow to, exactly the same task? I think not. The first time it is called, it involves filling out the form. The second time it is correcting the form...
    So if you change it to: HTA1: fill out the form, and in case B rejects the document, a new task: correct the document. This is also relevant from a management point of view: you want to minimize the correction, not the occurrences of filling out the form...
    Hope this helps,
    Lonneke

  • OSB Error in deploying a project with jca file adapter

    Hi,
    I am facing an issue where I am getting an error when deploying a service from Eclipse. I am using OSB/SOA 11.1.1.5 2 node cluster. I have an OSB service where I am writing to a file and am using file adapater. I created a composite with file adapter to write a file then imported .jac, .wsdl and composite into eclipse and generated a business service out of .jca file. When I deploy the project from eclipse I am getting the below error and am not able to deploy the project.
    Conflicts found during publish.
    Invalid JCA transport endpoint configuration, exception: javax.resource.ResourceException: Cannot locate Java class oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileInteractionSpec
    Cannot locate Java class oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileInteractionSpec
    I have FileAdapter deployed and pointed to OSB manage servers cluster. Here is a snippet of config.xml.
    <app-deployment>
        <name>FileAdapter</name>
        <target>SOA_Cluster,OSB_Cluster</target>
        <module-type>rar</module-type>
        <source-path>/app/oracle/fmw/Oracle_SOA1/soa/connectors/FileAdapter.rar</source-path>
        <deployment-order>321</deployment-order>
        <plan-dir xsi:nil="true"></plan-dir>
        <plan-path>/app/oracle/shared/SOA_Cluster/dp/FileAdapterPlan.xml</plan-path>
        <security-dd-model>DDOnly</security-dd-model>
        <staging-mode>nostage</staging-mode>
      </app-deployment>
    Also inside console -> deployments  -> FileAdapter -> Targets and OSB_Cluster is checked also.
    Here is the .jca file
    <adapter-config name="writeFile" adapter="File Adapter" wsdlLocation="writeFile.wsdl" xmlns="http://platform.integration.oracle/blocks/adapter/fw/metadata">
      <connection-factory location="eis/HAFileAdapter"/>
      <endpoint-interaction portType="Write_ptt" operation="Write">
        <interaction-spec className="oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileInteractionSpec">
          <property name="PhysicalDirectory" value="C:\ORACLE"/>
          <property name="Append" value="false"/>
          <property name="FileNamingConvention" value="a_%SEQ%.doc"/>
          <property name="NumberMessages" value="1"/>
        </interaction-spec>
      </endpoint-interaction>
    </adapter-config>
    Any idea what might be wrong.
    Thanks.

    I already have the fileAdapter JNDI is already configured in console. The error I am getting is during the deployment
    Conflicts found during publish.
    Invalid JCA transport endpoint configuration, exception: javax.resource.ResourceException: Cannot locate Java class oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileInteractionSpec

  • Unable to export BPM Project

    I'm on Jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.0 and have installed the plugin bpm-jdev-extension.zip and have successfully created a BPMN process. I've been able to deploy the composite and it works great.
    However, I'd like to be able to export the project in Jdeveloper. When I go to the export option, the only item I see is "UML as XMI".
    It doesn't give me the option to export the BPM project.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Mike
    I am little bit confused. What exactly do you want to Export. Like your entire application to some other machine. Or you want to deploy this application on some other soa/bpm domain. If so, then you need to get JAR for your workflow project and EAR for all the rest of the things. Incase if you already deployed this once to any domain, then under your application root folder/deploy folder, look for any EAR or JARs. Just take those and deploy to any other soa domain. Generally under your workflow project also you should see a folder named deploy and under this see a workflow jar sca_MyProcess_rev1.0.jar. While deploying if you choose option to include all taskdetails also in the same jar, you will have only one deployment file. Just take this and deploy to any other soa domain.
    If you want to export the source code itself, you can copy the entire application folder and move to any other jdeveloper folder or other machine.
    For any application/project in JDeveloper, you can go to properties for that -> Deployments -> and create any new Deployments you want like JAR, EAR, WARs etc.
    Thanks

  • Problem deploying an application with more task flow

    Hi all,
    I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.0 and weblogic 10.3.1
    I am trying to deploy an application that has more task flows.
    I am in the home page and I click on a button and I go to a new task flow.
    If I run the application from Jdeveloper it works, but if I deploy the application and try to do it I have this error on the page .jspx:
    Error 500--Internal Server Error

    and this error on the server log:

    What's the problem?
    Thanks
    Edited by: user10799119 on 2-set-2009 6.27

    I have not understood well what you mean: "Its better you create an EAR profile, have proper ADF Security set up in Jdev with users and roles, and also proper roles and permissions assigned to taskflows, and then deploy the profile directly from JDev."
    I have proper ADF Security set up in Jdev with users and roles, and also proper roles and permissions assigned to taskflows, and then deploy the profile directly from JDev. After that I have deployed my application to EAR file. I am using the EAR file create by default by Jdeveloper. Is this correct? Or have I to create another profile?
    "If you still wanna deploy the EAR, check the Users and Roles section under security in the Weblogic console. Users and Roles need to be configured in Weblogic as well. In 11g they get deployed automatically but with any previous version of Jdev you might have to check this in the WLS console."
    In the weblogic console, clicking on Security realms --> myRealm --> providers, I have defined myAuthenticator
    I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.0 and web logic server 10.3.1, so it seems to me that users and roles get deployed automatically
    what have I to do?
    thanks
