Unable to deploy from Eclipse - Runner class cannot be initialized

Hello
two days ago, I installed the newest versions of Glassfish Tools together with the newest Eclipse Luna SR1
when trying to deploy, I am getting the following error message:

the same application works if deployed directly to the glassfish server
I did all the suggestions as mentioned in Unable to deploy app form Eclipse Luna on Glassfish 4.0 or 4.1 with JDK8 but without success.
Does anybody has an idea what the problem could be and how to track it down?
Thanks a lot!

Hello Kostas
Thanks a lot for your help and hints! I am running Windows 7 64 Bit
I had Java 8, once with Release 20 and once with Release 25, installed - and thought that I pointed all to the newest version.
What helped in the end was to
- deinstall all Javas
- reboot
- installed newest JDK, without the "Public JRE"
- reboot
- set JAVA_HOME and appended the Java-bin-dir to the path-Variable
- reboot
- installed a fresh version of Glassfish
- configured a new Glassfish-Server on Eclipse
-> and now it runs perfectly!
Thanks again for your work and hints!

Atlast it worked. The problem was that in my ejb-jar.xml I was referring to 2_0.dtd. I have changed that to 2.1 and it worked.
    Older ejb-jar.xml had:
    <!DOCTYPE ejb-jar PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Enterprise JavaBeans 2.0//EN" "C:/jboss-4.0.1sp1/docs/dtd/ejb-jar_2_0.dtd">
    I changed that to:
    <ejb-jar xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee" version="2.1" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee/ejb-jar_2_1.xsd">
    And it worked.

  • Unable to deploy from NDWS

    HI
I have NWDI on an HP-UX machine and NW04S portal on another one. I defined my NWDS on my PC. Every connection are o.k and green from NWDS. The problem occur when I try to deploy. The SDM is located on my NW04S portal and this server is located in a data center where the ip address is nated. So when I try to deploy I cannot connect to the SDM because my p.c cannot reach this nated address. IS there a way to set SDM to return the hostname instead os the nated address ??
I was sugggest to setup web dispatcher as a reverse proxy ???
Is this a good id and how can I do it on a unix NW04S. I didn't really found any documentation.

    Hi,
In JDev go to the Resource Pallete under IDE Connections and get the properties for your connection.
On the tab Configuration see if you have your SSL Port configured, also check Always use SSL.
Go to the tab Test and test it again to see if everything is alright.

My first thought is to be sure you are deploying your application to
    a
Workshop enabled server/domain. Webapps and controls created in workshop
won't work in a WLS only domain. There are various system classpath and
deployed services required for workshop applications to deploy and
    operate correctly.
You can use the Configuration Wizard to create a new Workshop domain
(either Tools|WebLogic Server|Configuration Wizard in WLW or
beahome/weblogic81/common/bin/config.bat) or to update a WLS domain
    to include Workshop services.

  • Unable to deploy from Netweaver studio after changing hostname

    Hi All,
After following the SAP note 757692 to change the hostname for J2EE Engine 6.40, we are getting error message " Error: There is no control instance running in the cluster" in the SDM log when trying to deploy an app from netweaver studio. We have change the setting in netweaver studior to point to the new server etc ...
    1. We noticed that in the SDM log, it seem to still looking at the old hostname (clttst1) instead of the new host name (apple)
    2. We have to change the hostname because of the cluster environment.
    3. I checked the trace file dev_ms and found the following messge "  MsHttpInit: full qualified hostname = clttst1.rta.nsw.gov.au" , i.e. still pointing back to the old hostname.
I have made all the neccessary changes base on the SAP note 757692, i.e. message server name etc ...

    Please advice

    Thanks for the response James.
Though the classpath/path looks like it has references to JDK 1.5, it is actually referring to jrocket JDK 1.6. I can confirm this because when I type "C:\ORACLE\MIDDLE~1\JROCKI~1.5-3\lib" in windows explorer it takes me to "C:\ORACLE\Middleware\jrockit_160_14_R27.6.5-32\lib"
Moreover, C:\ORACLE\Middleware is the place where I installed weblogic 11gR1.
I looked at the startWeblogic.cmd, setDomainEnv.cmd and commEnv.cmd to trace how the JDK path is getting manipulated and I found that in setDomainEnv.cmd there is a line "for %%i in ("%JAVA_HOME%") do set JAVA_HOME=%%~fsi " which is converting the full JDK path to short path. Below are the references in the .cmd files :
    setDomainEnv.cmd

    Hi,
you could change the connection settings to the server in the preference page in the Developer Studio. Check <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/45/0cf28fb4d01f23e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm">this</a> page in the documentation for details.
In your case, you can also use the host name of your laptop, or even just localhost, in the Message Server Host field in the preferences page. This should overcome the problem with dynamic IPs.
    Hope that helps!

The package has excel source and oledb destination. Excel files can be both .xls and .xlsx format. Since i want to run both xls and xlsx format i have installed
32 bit Microsoft Acess database engine form the below link, then both xls and xlsx format worked.
    .xls - 32 bit
.xlsx - 32 bit and 64 bit is available. So in common i have to run it in 32 bit.
I have set Run64BitRuntime to False and ran package. it is working fine. I cannot set Run64BitRuntime to True and run the packages. Because i have office products installed on my machine which is 32 bit. if try to install 64 bit Microsoft Acess
database engine redistributable pacakage from below link , it is throwing error saying that, already office 32 bit product is installed so uninstall 32 bit product and install 64 bit.
Excel connection string is Ace database engine only. everything works fine.
    microsoftcom/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255
Now i am trying to invoke package from c# code by using Microsoft.SqlServer.ManagedDTS.dll and it is also working fine in my dev machine.
When i deploy the web application in production am getting the error while invoking package. the full error message is posted in 1st line of this thread.
Then i tried to execute the package in production server by using dtexec utility, it is working fine. I tried both 32 bit and 64 bit dtexec utility by going to specific path (program files(x86) and Program files) via command prompt.
It is all working fine. So the error coming when i invoke from web application. My guess is ManagedDTS causing problem.
    Where can i find 64 bit Microsoft.SqlServer.ManagedDTS.dll
or is it because of any other problem. i have checked below links, still problem not resolved.
    social.msdn.microsoftcom/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/491384d2-02f7-4178-a1c3-bcbd58e57fce/an-integration-services-class-cannot-be-found-make-sure-that-integration-services-is-correctly?forum=sqlintegrationservices
    forums.aspnet/t/1990417.aspx?Issue+deploying+SSIS+Package+in+production+web+server

    1) "I have set Run64BitRuntime to False and ran package" -> this is not valid outside of your development environment, it is made for simulation purposes as all the dev tools are 32 Bit
    2) "Where can i find 64 bit Microsoft.SqlServer.ManagedDTS.dll " is basically SSIS. It is quite possibly the culprit. I am inclined to think you attempt to run the package where there no SSIS installed.

  • Cannot create OSB project from Eclipse

I am working with OSB after a while. I have installed OSB and webgic server. When I have installed OSB the Oracle Enterprise pack for Eclipse has been installed.
Now, when I am trying to create an OSB project from Eclipse. But when I am doing File-->New-->OSB Configuration Project, it gives error message:
The selected wizard could not be started.
Plug-in "com.bea.alsb.ui" was unable to instantiate class "com.bea.alsb.ui.wizards.NewALSBContainerWizard".
    com/bea/alsb/core/containers/exceptions/ContainerException
Do I need to Install anything else?

I resolved this issue. First, I installed WebLogic Server with Oracle WebLogic Server 11gR1 (10.3.3) + Coherence + OEPE (dowload here) and then, installed Oracle Service Bus v. 11.1.1.3.0. (download here ).
When install OSB, be sure to select the oepe that is located inside the middleware directory.
Doing these steps, after these installations, on path "Middleware directory/oepe_11gR1PS2" is the eclipse.exe. If you executed this file, it seems that the problem is resolved when try to create an osb project.

  • Cannot debug from Eclipse (Mac OS 10.7, Drive 3.01)

I piggy-backed this on another discussion three days ago, but perhaps creating a new thread will get more attention.
I recently downloaded the Adobe Drive 3 SDK and am having problems debugging the sample connectors from Eclipse.  I've followed all of the instructions in the documentation, but no matter what I try I cannot get my built connectors (both basicftp and helloworld) to show up when I try to initiate a connection in Drive 3.01.
I am definitely checking (selecting) the bundles for these two samples in the run configuration, as well as all the dependant bundles ("Validate Bundles" passes successfully).  In the console, if I type 'ss' I see both of the samples listed as ACTIVE.  I launch Drive after I see them as active.
I tried typing 'csstat' in the console but that does not seem to be a recognized command (per the documentation).
When I launch Adobe Drive 3.01 I only see the two out-of-the-box connectors (DAM and CMIS).
If I do a proper build and export to the CS5ServiceManager directory, they do show up in Adobe Drive.  However, I really need to be able to run from within Eclipse to debug.
I've followed the troubleshooting steps and killed the CS5ServiceManager and Adobe drive processes using Activity Manager (I'm on a Mac OS 10.7 Lion) and also deleted the 'data' folder, rebooted, no luck.
I even tried doing a clean installation of everything on another machine, and had the same problem.
Please help or suggest something else to try.  Thanks!

Thanks so much for the suggestions.
I haven't tried the 32 bit JVM yet, but your comments got me thinking about which bundles I have selected in my run configuration.  When I first tried selecting ALL bundles, I got an error when launching:
The bundle could not be resolved. Reason: Missing Constraint: Import-Package: com.adobe.versioncue.serialization; version="0.0.0"
To correct that, I had gone back to the run configuration, cleared all bundles, and pressed the "Add Required Bundles" button.  This only added a small subset of all bundles, but got rid of the validation error.
I now went back and selected all bundles, despite the validation error, and now I am successfully able to launch the sample.basicftp bundle from Eclipse on one of my two machines.  The other one doesn't work, and when I go type 'ss' I see one of the bundles seems to get stuck in the STARTING state:
    com.adobe.csi.bootstrap_2.0.0.201003221714
I can probably continue working with my one working machine, but something still doesn't seem right.
    1)  Should I be seeing that "Missing Constraint" error above?  If not, then where do I find the bundle that it is looking for?
    2)  Any idea why the com.adobe.csi.bootstrap is getting stuck in the STARTING state.
Once again, thanks so much for your help!

As kb1951 states, unless this phone was purchased directly from Apple, it is not officially unlocked. In the US, only Apple sells officially unlocked iPhones. The message you got generally means your phone was hacked to unlock it...jailbroken...Apple's servers have detected such & are preventing your phone from activating...there's nothing wrong with the activation servers.
You'll need a sim card from the carrier your phone is locked to in order to activate it. If you don't know what carrier, you'll have to call AppleCare in the US to determine this info. Be aware, US carriers will not authorize official unlocking unless you are a customer that used the phone on their network. Thus, there is most likely no way for you to get this phone officially unlocked.
    Good luck.

Please make sure the server is running on host "eway-pc", port "8888".

Can you post the full error statck, this error is very generic and can be misleading.
Are you able to deploy other processes.
