Unable to fetch TaskListTaskFlow from ADF application

I followed the link to http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/user.1111/e15175/bpmug_ws_taskflows.htm
fetch the TaskListTaskFlow of BPM from an ADF page.Configured the wf_client_config.xml file.Provided username and password in file.Using basic ADF security.Configured JNDI and all relevant properties. Both ADF and BPM application are deployed on SOA server on same physical machine.
However when i run the ADF page i could not see the taskList ? Empty page is rendered.
What is it so ? What extra things need to configure ?

I am using JDev 5.
I have created the user/gouos in WLS console.Mapped those to enterpsrise roles in jazn-data.xml file. Given grants to to pages and task flows. Even explictly given user name and password in wf_client_config.xml.
When remove the ADF secuirty everything works fine. I think i am missing something security specific configuration.

Hi ,
Saving a library (.pll) to database would store the object inside specific tables that are to be created.
If you are using 6i, then you should find toolbild & toolgrnt.sql files which you have to run in the order specified. The above scripts creates the necessary tables and henceforth you won't get those errors while saving.

How to call OWSM secured web-service from ADF application

I have a OWSM secured web-service, which takes username/password.
I want to invoke this webservice from ADF application. ADF application has its own security and it takes its own username/password. End user can't provide the username/password for web-service call. My ADF application should call the webservice and provide it appropriate username/password.
What is the best practice to handle such scenario. I don't want to hardcode username/password in Java (ADF) code.

it is not clear to me if you are having problems with calling java code from OIM or if the problem is the web service API.
Lets do some divide and conquer:
Can you create a simple java class that just writes a couple of lines to the log? Please attach this code to the OIM task and make sure it runs.
Once this works we can start looking at the web service call.

To Simplify our use case, say you have
a standard adf application
With a jspx and a command button.
Requirement:
When a user user click on the command button from adf application, the ucm check in page should popup allowing the user to index and check in content.
We thought the CHECKIN_NEW_FORM service is suppose to meet that requirement but we are having a problem putting it all together inside our adf application.

Unable to delete JSESSIONID cookie from ADF application

Hi all
I have a ADF application where i am using Logout button with action in managed bean. I want to delete the JSESSIONID cookie after logout.
The logout bean is invalding the session and deleting the cookies. See code below.
However code is not deleting the JSESSIONID cookie. I can see the cookie still exist in browser. Tester can use "back" button of browser and can see the user is still logged in application.
How can delete JESSIONID cookie permanetly after logout action ? Am i missing some thing in code ? I am uing JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0

after thorough inspection, i found that why my client can connect to ADF AM and why my WebService Invocation is failed with JBO 300003. My J2EE Client application is connected to ADF AppModule with some configuration in CPX file.

You can directly edit the bc4j.xcfg file. Note that the WebService binding is not created from the Am directly but from the deployed WSDL file.

Invoking BPEL process from ADF application - webservice connection failed

Hi,
I am trying to invoke a Bpel process from ADF page , I deployed the same in Standalone SOA server since I had to display some Human Task Forms.
I created a webservice data control out of the bpel process and dropped the process method in my page.
The page on which I dropped the process method stopped rendering and I checked the logs and found that I got the error mesage- webservice connection failed,the webservice url could not be reached and in the logs it also asks us to check if the connections.xml is available in the meta-inf directory. I checked the conections.xml is available in the EAR.
So any pointers here and any one faced this error anytime?
is there better ways to invoke the bpel flow from ADF page.

Check if your wsdl endpoint can accessed properly. If yes, check the soap-binding address is properly pointing to the server hosting the webservice.

Unable to fetch data from R/3

i have a few questions regarding data extraction from R/3 into BI 7.0. I am giving the steps that i followed for the same.
1. Created 2 char infoobjects vbeln,posnr. 1 keyfigure 0Gross_wt (unit 0UNIT_OF_WT)
2. In R/3 went into RSA5 activated SAP-R/3(SAP Application components) >> SD >> Activated 2LIS_11_VAITM (Sales Document Item Data)
3. In RSA6 double-clicked 2LIS_11_VAITM - all fields i.e POSNR, POSNR and BRGEW are present. these are the fields that I am mapping in the proposal.
4. In BI, RSA1 >> source systems >> SAP (RFC to R/3) >> SAP Application components >> Sales and Distribution >> replicate metadata >> got 2LIS_11_VAITM in the list (but under sales Master Data, There is no App. Comp. for item data).
5. Checked fields in the datasource.
6. Created infopackage >> in schedule >> Start data fetch >> Got mesage : Data was requested.
7. In Infoprovider >> created an Infocube >> added the chareacteristics and keyfigures to it.
8. created Transformation >> mapped the fields >> activated >> created DTP with : Extraction mode = Full >> Update >> error handling = request green >> activate.
9. Execute tabe >> executed.
10.Monitor message >> No more data available >> 0 records updated.
a. What am i doing wrong? data is available in R/3 tables VBAk and VBAP.
I tried the same steps for uploading Customer as Master data under the infoarea and was able to get the records in BI.
b. How do i create Transfer rules and Update rules while fetching data. Could you give me the steps.
c. Are the steps the same if i try using an ODS object instead of an Infocube?

Goto SBIW tcode in the source system.
And follow the path.
Business Information Warehouse -> Settings for Application-Specific DataSources -> Logistics -> Managing Extract Structures -> Initialization -> Filling in the Setup Table -> Application-Specific Setup of Statistical Data
Select your component.
Also before filling you need to delete them.
You can do it in tcode LBWG.

How to connect to remote EJB 3.0 deployed on Glassfish from ADF application

Hello, as we haven't managed to deploy ADF app with EJB 3.0 on Glassfish AS, nor on tomcat 6 with openEJB, nor on JBOSS 5GA, we're trying to deploy our app with remote interface on tomcat 6. We're using ADF, JSF and EJB 3.0 (Eclipselink as JPA).
When the model project is deployed on WLS 10.3, everything works fine. Here is a part from DataControls.cpx

Unable to fetch records from database with huge selection screen

Hi all,
I have 20 fields from selection screen.
I have a z table with these 20 fields .
Now with the values entered in the selection screen i have to fetch the records from the z table.
All fields in the selection screen are not mandatory, the user may or may not enter the values.
I have to fetch the records based on the values entered.
I wrote a select with where condtion to all those 20 fields. but its not retreving the records.
All the fields in the selection screeen are parameters.
Could you help me on this, please. I wrote in the where conditon with field1 = value AND field 2 = value.. etc... field20 = value.
Please guys help me out.

I have a problem with the select query.
as i said i have 20 fields, ranges are working for few fields.
But i have couple of fields as descriptions. So i have to fetch the records for pattenr as well.
Means, user can enter in the description............. like    "ab". So in the description if there is anything   with 'ab' it should fetch.
it works with a LIKE statement with % symbols.
but it doenst work with   ranges and patterns in same select. I mean the below is not working.
SELECT *
         FROM crmd_orderadm_h
         INTO table itab
         WHERE object_id IN r_obj AND
               process_type IN r_pro AND
               description LIKE s_des.
r_obj, r_pro are ranges and s_des is the pattern, ex: %ab%.              so in this case how it has to be done... could you please help me on this.. the other fields could be blank( r_obj and r_pro)..

Creating dynamic database connection (SQL server 2008) from Adf application

I am creating an ADF Fusion Application. I use Jdev. 11.1.2.3.0 , WebLogic 10.3 and MS SQL server 2008 database. My question is that how can I create a database connection configuration file, now I connect to the database through hard coding, there should be a way to do this with sql server I think.
my database name is : testDatabase
my database username is : testUser
my database password is : testPassword

The database schema is the same for all the users, but the location of the database differs, for example: I have set the hostname of the database to localhost because the database is installed on the local pc, but to other clients the database is installed on a managed server so in the hostname I should put the server's ip address or name. So I need an external file where I can set these options.
