Unable to get filename from mail to XI to file scenario

Hi
How could i get the name of an attachment to be used as the file name on my File Adapter in a Mail to file scenario?
I recieve the files as attachments and I have used the payload swap bean to swap my actaull message content to attachment. That works perfect, the contents of the file are saved successfully on my file system.  The file is sent as a plain text file and not xml and no mapping is done, I just get the files from the mail and save them into a file server for further processing.
Your help will be highly appreciated
Ronny

Hi
I have installed my Module, but when I try to call it from within the adapters I get an error
exception caught during processing mail message [614]com.sap.aii.af.mp.processor.ModuleProcessorException: Error during processing local bean: localejbs/mailAttachmentFileNames caused by: com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions.NameNotFoundException: Object not found in lookup of mailAttachmentFileNames.
I have searched all the logs and the module is active. I even restarted my J2EE engine, twice but still nothing..
please assist

  • How to get filename from mail attachment

    Hi all,
    I have a XI scenario Mail->XI->RFC. I have created my own adapter module which handle all attachments from incoming mail.
    Everything work fine, but in my module I try to get information about filename of mail attachment. I use getContentType() metod to get the filename but this method return only the mimetype of the document. The getDescription() method return olny string "mail attachment". I need to get the original filename of the attachment or at least the file extension.
    Is it possible to get the whole filename from mail attachment?
    Thanks
    Peter

    Hi,
    You can tryout with adapter modules . You can make use of following Adapter attributes also -

  • How to get FILENAME from FILE PATH

    does anyone know how to get filename from a file path for example
    FILE PATH: C:\Project\uploadbean\web\uploads\Button.txt
    returns
    FILENAME: Button.txt

    @BalusC
    ust for a reference cause i'm new in JSP This has nothing to do with JSP, but with basic knowledge of an essential API. I have given you the link to the File API. Are you saying that you refused to read the API documentation, which clearly explains you how to use the File and shows which methods are all available to you undereach the straightforward getName() method, and expecting that the others may chew the answers for you? Loser.

  • Photoshop CS5 Exit Code 7 Unable to get root from inChildPath

    I downloaded the trial version 32 bit and 64 bit, to my desktop (Core I7 3.2 GHZ, 12Gb ram, Win XP Pro 64) and when installing, it doesn't get past 0%, just spits out this:
    0 fatal errors, 1 error, 0 warning
    Error: Unable to get root from inChildPath
    Exit Code:7 Unable to complete silent workflow
    I wanted to see if the install files were bad, some I copied to my craptop, which runs Vista 32 bit, and it works fine. Any word yet on what causes this error? Going to check and see if I missed any updates while I wait to see if anyone's had this issue.

    Using your links, I can find Adobe's listing for error code 7, but all it tells me is that exit code 7 does not define my problem, but the lines that follow exit code 7 do. Which is the "unable to get root from inChildPath" bit. I might have missed something in your post, but when I poke around the links in the document, and in Adobe's troubleshooting search feature, I can't find anything about the terms "root from inChildPath".
    Here's a recap of everything I tried yesterday, note that each error is exactly the same:
    At the day's beginning, I had Adobe Master Suite CS4 installed, including PS CS4.
    Without un-installing, I attempted to install Photoshop CS5 Trial > Got the error
    Copied PS CS5 files to laptop, which also has Master Suite CS4 > Installed fine
    Uninstalled Photoshop from Master Suite, then installed PS CS5 > Got the error
    Tried to install only 64 bit > Got error
    Did "Run As", signed in as admin > Got error
    Booted into Safe Mode to install to see if a background process was conflicting > Got error
    Reinstalled Master Suite for 6 hours and quit trying...

  • Get filename from file sender adapter

    Hi Experts,
    I have a question regarding the file/ftp adapter (sender).
    I have a directory with xml and pdf files. for every xml file there is a pdf file with the same filename. for example:
    file1.xml
    file1.pdf
    file2.xml
    file2.pdf
    file3.xml
    file3.pdf
    Now I want to read the xml file with the file sender adapter. afterwards I want to read the related pdf file. for example: If I read the file file1.xml afterwards I want to read the pdf file file1.pdf with the file sender adapter. For this it is nessessary to get the filename from the xml file so that I can read afterwards the pdf file. How can I realise it?
    Thanks and best regards
    Christopher

    Hi srinivas,
    thanks for your quick answer.
    That the file adapter is not able to read pdf files is clear to me. In this case I only want to transport the pdf. that works fine. I tested it.
    the problem is the following:
    I have a xml file with the name "file1.xml". I read the xml file with the sender file/ftp adapter configured with filename "*.xml". Then I want to import the pdf file with the name "file1.pdf". Therefor I need the filename from the xml file.do you know what I mean? So XI has to know the filename of the xml to import the pdf with the same name ...

  • Unable to get callback from Asynchronous BPEL process to work (AXIS Client)

    Hello,
    I am calling an Asynchronous BPEL process from an AXIS client, and I am unable to get the callback functionality to work. The AXIS client code has been generated from WSDL2Java using the BPEL process' WSDL file.
    I CAN insert an invoke node in the BPEL process and invoke my Callback web service using that, but obviously that means the BPEL process is limited to only responding to one pre-determined client, which won't work.
    My questions:
    - How does the BPEL process know what endpoint to use to make the callback?
    - Do I need to modify the generated code to create a SOAP Envelope and invoke the process with the envelope, intead of the invokeOneWay call?
    - If I do need to create a SOAP Envelope with a replyto element, what is the structure of a typical BPEL envelope? Is there an example somewhere?
    I have looked at the examples in the interop directory, specifically the AXIS calling Async BPEL, but I would like to try to keep the client code as independent as possible (I don't really want to have a dependency on the OTN library).
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
    Thank you.
    -Ryan

    Please have a look at the Binding in the WSDL. Axis must provide the ReplyTo and
    MessageId information there. As far as I see, this must be done by an Axis-Handler,
    because the Binding-Part in not generated by WSDL2Java.
    I was able to generate the JavaClasses by using the "WSDL2Java -a" option, but
    I still do not see how to use them in a handler and how to register the handler.
    Maybe someone can give me a hint.

  • Getting filename from HttpServletRequest

    hi,
    i am doing a simple servlet for uploading file.
    i have been googling around, but i could't find a way to retrieve the filename from the HttpServletRequest object. most solution uses another party's code.
    below is the simple code from the html that takes in the file
    <form action="/TestJSP/test2" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data">
                <input type="file" name="test">
                <p>
                <input type="submit" value="Upload File!">
    </form>on the servlet side, i tried using
    String filename = request.getParameter("test") ;but i keep getting a null value for the filename.
    thanks in advance!

    of lots of apache package, like the FileItemFactory
    and ServletFileUpload, even the FileItem class.The package is written for a much wider audience, it is designed to do a lot more than just read the name of the file being uploaded. I don't know if you read their Guide.
    Keep in mind that the solution posted on the other thread was custom written to solve the posters problem, which is a lot more than reading the file name.
    If you want shrunken code, then it's not that difficult:
    package test71;
    import org.apache.commons.fileupload.disk.DiskFileItemFactory;
    import org.apache.commons.fileupload.servlet.ServletFileUpload;
    import org.apache.commons.fileupload.*;
    import javax.servlet.http.*;
    import java.util.List;
    public class AnotherFileUploadServlet extends HttpServlet {
        public void doPost(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) {
            FileItemFactory factory = new DiskFileItemFactory();
            ServletFileUpload upload = new ServletFileUpload(factory);
            List<FileItem> items = null;
            try {
                items = upload.parseRequest(request);
                for (FileItem item : items) {
                    if (!item.isFormField()) {
                        String fileName = item.getName();
                        System.out.println("File Name is: " + fileName);
            } catch (FileUploadException e) {
                e.printStackTrace();

  • Q190 unable to get video from HDMI

    I originally set up my Q190 using VGA out to the monitor. After purchasing a HDMI to DVI cable and connecting it, I have been unable to get any video to display on the monitor via the HDMI port. I have rebooted several times, checked every setting I can find, no luck so far.

    hi wsmithjr,
    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
    If you're using a flat panel monitor (that usualy has a VGA connector and a single link DVI D digital interface), did you bought an HDMI to single link DVI-D converter? Also, can you try to scan for hardware changes under the device manager to identify the monitor that's connected to the HDMI to DVI-D converter.
    Let me know your findings

  • Reciver File channel unable to get message from Xi in file- file scenario

    Hi All,
    I have done a small File to File scenario.
    Sender file adapter receiver the file and gives it to XI, then deletes the file from that directory.
    Receiver is unable to get the file.
    I have a message mapping defined for the receiver which concatenates two fields from one message type and transforms it to another.
    I have configured the scenario.
    When I check the adapter stats Sender channel picks the Xml deletes it from the directory.
    <b>Sender channel:</b>
    Sender Adapter v1014 for Party '', Service 'SourceFileBS':
    Configured at 04:25:50 2006-06-03
    Up and running: Last message processing started 05:10:50 2006-06-03
      last poll interval started 05:10:50 2006-06-03
      length 60,000 secs
    <b>Receiver channel:</b>
    Receiver Adapter v1027 for Party '', Service 'TargetFileBs':
    Configured at 04:25:50 2006-06-03
    Up and running - no message processing until now
    I configured the scenario (receiver agreement, determination, sender agreement, and interface determination).
    Instead of Business systems, I Configured Business services (Virtual) for inter company communication.
    XI is unable to give the message to the receiver channel.
    Please help me to debug the scenario.
    Regards,
    Meher

    Hi All,
    Thanks for all your Responses.
    I see a high payload in my monitor belonging to some other process ( shipped with XI) MAT_LEGACY.
    The scenario which I executed is showing up a status of <b>scheduled</b>
    Adapter has picked the message at 01:59:37 2006-09-12
    and start time and the end time of the message is shown as
    01:59:37 2006-09-13 in the XI monitor with a status of scheduled .
    can I purge the sceduled messages for MAT_LEGACY scenario?
    if yes how do i do that?
    is this causing a problem for the file not being received by receiver?
    when i go to the transaction manager with SMQ1 with the client 100 i see the queue on which the above message is persisted with a queue status of ready.
    help me.
    Regards,

  • Getting filename from a string including filepath and filename

    How I can get a filename from a string which includes both
    filepath and filename? The filepath is not always the same. For
    example, the variable could include a "C:\temp\test.doc" or
    "C:\files\docfiles\test.doc" and I need to get the filename
    "test.doc" and save it to another variable. Thanks in
    advance.

    on getFilenameFromPath vPath
    oldDelim=the itemDelimiter
    the itemDelimiter=the last char of the moviePath
    iFilename=the last item of vPath
    the itemDelimiter=oldDelim
    return iFilename
    end
    Put that into a movie script. Then you can call the function
    any time
    to retrieve the last part of the path- like this:
    put getFilenameFromPath("C:\temp\test.doc")
    -- "test.doc"
    As an added bonus, it is cross-platform so it will work on a
    Mac as well
    as a PC.

  • Get filename from list of measurement files

    Hi,
    I would like to have the user select from a list of measurement files and pass that name and path to the write to measurement file VI.
    Ideally, when the data is written to the measurement file the user could add comments.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Joel

    Hi Joel,
    maybe your questions a too generic?
    To select from a list of files you use the FileDialog (either ExpressVI or plain function) and it will give you a (full) path to the selected file.
    To save "comments" with data you can use TDMS file functions which allow to set "properties" for channels of data.
    To get more help than that you should better describe your problems and it's always a good idea to attach a VI of your tries to solve them...
    Examples are found by the help menu in LabVIEW: simply start the example finder

  • Please Help: Automator to get text from Safari Reader into Text file

    Hello All,
    I was hoping that someone will be able to help me.
    I would like for automator to obtain article text from a website without me having to manually cut and paste it.
    I tried to put together a workflow to get text from webpage, but it unfortunatley get some information that I don't want for eg. Menu Bar Titles and additional links etc. What would be ideal is if I could only extract the data that shows when I use the Safari Reader function.  I have tried a jave Readability Script, but this also extract the same information. Is there anyway someone could please kindly help me out with a nice Applescript or something?
    If there is no way to do this, there could be another solution around this... if there was a way I could use automator to delete the first and last 10 lines of the text document.
    Again, any help will be much appreciated.
    Many thanks,
    VicandMeliJvR

    Hi David,
    Thank you for your feedback. I would be happy to use a screen capture program, but Quicktime X seems to only allow me to record audio and record the video separately. I will do this as a last resort, but it's a big pain to try to line up the video audio.
    Thank you! I will definitely do this if nothing else works.

  • Get blocker from the (self) deadlock trace file

    Hi,
    Recently I had an issue on a 10.2.0.4 single instance database where deadlocks were occurring. The following test case reproduces the problem (I create three parent tables, one child table with indexed foreign keys to all three parent tables and a procedure which performs an insert into the child table in an autonomous transaction):
    create table parent_1(id number primary key);
    create table parent_2(id number primary key);
    create table parent_3(id number primary key);
    create table child( id_c number primary key,
                       id_p1 number,
                       id_p2 number,
                       id_p3 number,
                       constraint fk_id_p1 foreign key (id_p1) references parent_1(id),
                       constraint fk_id_p2 foreign key (id_p2) references parent_2(id),
                       constraint fk_id_p3 foreign key (id_p3) references parent_3(id)
    create index i_id_p1 on child(id_p1);
    create index i_id_p2 on child(id_p2);
    create index i_id_p3 on child(id_p3);
    create or replace procedure insert_into_child as
    pragma autonomous_transaction;
    begin
      insert into child(id_c, id_p1, id_p2, id_p3) values(1,1,1,1);
      commit;
    end;
    insert into parent_1 values(1);
    insert into parent_2 values(1);
    commit;And now the action that causes the deadlock:
    SQL> insert into parent_3 values(1);
    1 row created.
    SQL> exec insert_into_child;
    BEGIN insert_into_child; END;
    ERROR at line 1:

    ORA-06512: at "SCOTT.INSERT_INTO_CHILD", line 4
    ORA-06512: at line 1My question is: how can I determine which table the insert into CHILD was waiting on? It could be waiting on PARENT_1, PARENT_2, PARENT_3, a combination of them or even on CHILD if I tried to insert a duplicate primary key in CHILD. Since we have the full testcase we know that it was waiting on PARENT_3 (or better said, it was waiting for the "parent" transaction to perform a commit/rollback), but is it possible to determine that solely from the deadlock trace file? I'm asking that because to pinpoint the problem I had to perform redo log mining, pl/sql tracing with DBMS_TRACE and manual debugging on a clone of the production database which was restored to a SCN just before the deadlock occurred. So, I had to do quite a lot of work to get to the blocker table and if this information is already in the deadlock trace file, it would have saved me a lot of time.
    Below is the deadlock trace file. From the "DML LOCK" part I guess that the child table (tab=227042) holds a mode 3 lock (SX), all the other three parent tables have mode 2 locks (SS), but from this extract I can't see that parent_3 (tab=227040) is blocking the insert into child:

          ----------------------------------------Thank you in advance for any comments,
    Jure

    Hi Jonathan,
    thank you very much for your reply which more than answers my question. I think it actually clears a lot of doubts I had about TX locks, since your mentioning of "undo segment header transaction table" pointed me in the right direction for further research on this topic (honestly, I didn't know what's "behind" TX locks). So if I understood correctly, to determine which table is the blocker (in the testcase presented above), you have to have some kind of history of executed SQL statements (e.g. by mining redo logs)?
    The statement you wrote:
    At this point, and with your example, the waiting session is waiting on a TX (transaction) lock - this means it has not idea (and no interest) in the actual data involved, it is merely waiting for an undo segment header transaction table slot to clear. and the example with the savepoint you gave, made me think of some of the consequences of that behaviour. That is probably the reason why it is not possible to get the "blocker" table from v$lock (although sometimes it's possible to get it from v$session.row_wait_obj#) when a session tries to change a row another session holds in exclusive mode, e.g.:
    create table t1 (id number);
    insert into t1 values (1);
    commit;
    Session 126:
    SID = 126> update t1 set id=2 where id=1;
    1 row updated.
    Session 146:
    SID = 146> update t1 set id=2 where id=1;
    {session hangs}
    In a separate session:
    SQL> SELECT   CASE
      2                  WHEN TYPE = 'TM'
      3                     THEN (SELECT object_name

                   146 TX     262153       4669          0          6          0The only thing I can tell from this output is that session 146 is trying to get a TX lock in exclusive mode, and session 126 is blocking it, the reason of the blocking being unknown from this view alone.
    Since I'd like to get a better understanding on the mechanics behind this (e.g. why the blocked session can't know the segment that is waiting for, since it has to go to the same segment's data block to find the address of the undo segment header transaction table slot? ; can we get the content/structure of the transaction table in the data block - probably by making a block dump?), do you have any source where a more in depth explanation what happens "behind the scenes" is available (perhaps in Oracle Core?)? Some time ago I found a link on your blog http://jonathanlewis.wordpress.com/2010/06/21/locks/ which points to Franck Pachot's article where he nicely explains the various locking modes: http://knol.google.com/k/oracle-table-lock-modes#. There I also found Kyle Hailey's presentation about locks http://www.perfvision.com/papers/09_enqueues.ppt where slide 23 nicely depicts what's going on when acquiring TX locks. Of course I'll try to search on my own, but any other source (especially from an authority like you) is more than welcome.
    Thank you again and regards,
