Unable to handle the detail block data......

Dear All,
I am creating a form with 3 blocks.
Control block,
Header Block,
Detail Block.
First i have entered a record in the control block.
Then i navigate to header block,entered the first record for Header Block.
Then i navigate to Detail block,entered the first record for detail Block.
then i again navigate to Header Block..
Now the Problem comes....
As i am Trying to enter second record for header block,the pop up comes as "Do you want to save the changes".
Condition 1:
i dont want that message to appear for every header record i enter.
Condition 2:
For every header record i enter,Corresponding detail record would have been entered.i want that detail records to be retained if i am clicking that header record, as i have already created relationship for both header block and detail block.
How can i resolve this.

Basiclly you should create - Master ->Details Replation with both of your data block. This will solve all your problem.
After creating the Master/Relation Relations - all your navigation and data popup will be addressed , if you get this confirmation message, please let me know..that could be due to block changed status.

The page can open with IE7 and it just can not be shown the detail records (llike in "Absence Type" the detail ===>Advance Leave ) in the IE page.

Ora-03114 when saving data after second update for the detail block

i am using developer 6i and i did a form which includes masters and details blocks
when i create a record for the master and detail and save it , then it saves , and if i make any changes on the detail block for the first time and save it saves , but if i make changes for the second time and save it gives me
ora-03114 not connected to oracle

This is very strange...
What if u re-connect to oracle form ...? is same problem occured ?
1.Pls check any trigger block level as post-update and other related...
2.Remove any un-necessary triggers u thought they r ignored by ur forms but they almost causes unexpected problems...!
3.pls share us the code u have in key-commit or post-commit trigger , etc.
or remove it temporary just for test purposes compile , generate and run.

Hello Srinivas
This BAPI does not allow to create a new customer from scratch but only to copy an existing customer to a new one and change its address data.
The reference customer has to be provided using IMPORTING parameter PI_COPYREFERENCE. See also the BAPI documentation for more details.
The BAPI does the same like transaction XD01 with Reference.

My Windows 2003 crashed which was running Oracle XE.
I installed Oracle XE on Windows XP on another machine.
I coped my D:\oracle\XE10g\oradata folder of Win2003 to the same location in WinXP machine.
When I start the database in WinXP using SQLPLUS i get the following message

Try to install win 2003 server software, do the fresh installation of oracle software, now copy the datafiles and controlfiles to same locations as you did on winxp.
get back to us, if still not out of the woods. I still doubt that a simple restore would do the trick, since you doing it across different platforms, might be I can be wrong, but this is what I personally feel, you not able to start the database on winxp.

Execute_Query in MASTER-DETAIL form queries the DETAIL block...?

I'm using Oracle Form Builder with a Master-Detail relationship, I have a WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger which runs 'EXECUTE_QUERY;' but it is returning records from the Detail block rather than the master block. Can anyone tell me how to return records from the master block?
I have no idea what the block name is. I've tried the data block name and the title above the block and both say they are undefined.

Check in When-New-Form instance trigger, is there any code like

Cannot view the detailed Email date and time about the meeting request

Hi,I am unable to view the detailed message and Date and time of a meeting request in the default Email app in my Sony Xperia P mobile. Even when i select the calender it does not defaultly go to the meeting date. I need to manually select the date to see the meeting. I cannot see the meeting details without accepting it.I have seen the better behaviors on HTC One V and Galaxy Nexus where full meeting details including message, Date, time, venue appears in the meeting request message.Is there any setting which needs to be changes or is it the limitation of the phone app.Regards,Pratik Ranjan

Here's some additional info i have after some testing:Work have Exchange 2010, I have sent calendar invites from outlook 2007 and 2010 clients and it works for the 2007 clients as it automatically adds the meeting details into the body of the request, something it doesn’t do in 2010, so it may be the way the calendar form has changed in 2010. It also works fine when i get an invite from an external person.This however is just adding the text into the body, I too have tested with the HTC One S and Samsung Galxay S3, bith use the stock email and both display the time as part ofthe invite no tin the body of the invite,
In doing the testing I have also found another issue. I have found that it doesn’t inform you of a calendar conflict.ThanksMike

Populating the detail block

Hi Gurus,
I have a master block and a detail block. the detail block should be always disabled for user entry.
Master block is based on table X and detail block on Table Y.
In the master block there is a field A . When this filed is entered with a value, when it is in insert mode, I have to execute a procedure which populates the detail block (the expected data has to be derived from another table based on the value of field A. But if Block A is in query mode the detail block is populated throu relationship.
Now having the detail block as insert not allowed and update not allowed, my procedure is not able to populate the block. But if I changed insert allowed yes and update allowed =yes, the procedure populates the block. But I make the user enter values on the block which is not entertained. Please help me how can I achieve this?

try setting INSERT/UPDATE allowed = 'NO' for the all the detail fields, rather than

Master-Detail relationship and querying back from the detail block

Hello friends,
Using oracle forms 6i. I have a multi data block. On the block there is a header and detail section. There is master detail relationship present in these blocks. I have a sequence defined, which generates an auto-number.
Now in the detail section say I have 4 records all of which are say invoices and I am populating the details about it. On the 'save' button I have defined a logic which generates an auto- number or a unique number for all the 4 records in the detail section. The unique number is shown in the header section in a text-field.
Now when I query (F11 and then Ctrl+F11) with the help of the unique number i see all the 4 records under it in the detail section. But when I query with the help of one of the 4 records in the detail section it says "fetching more than a single row." I know the same unique number is there for all the 4 records and in the header section I am displaying "number of items displayed" to be 1. That is why the error. But I want that to remain one. How exactly can I develop this functionality of querying the unique number in the header section from the detail block?
Please help as soon as possible.

Having a relationship between data blocks, coordinates dml actions in both, so no coding is needed to save/update/delete records, forms built-ins do the work.

Is your MacBook using Mac OS X 10.6.8 as indicated in your post? If so you will not be able to fully integrate with iCloud.
iCloud and Snow Leopard, by Roger Wilmut describes what iCloud options are available for Snow Leopard.
If you are using Lion, go to iCal>Preferences...>Accounts, and delete/re-add your iCloud CalDAV server.

Is Firefox 3.6.10 technology unable to handle the new youtube?

Youtube made some sort of change(s) 1 day ago. Ever since then numerous links freeze up and firefox loads a "500 internal server error" page. The old youtube user interface was enforced once again. No change after disabling all my extensions. These same sites and new interface load on Chrome, Safari, Firefox4.

If you look at the grants, you'll see that there are over 170 objects from the FLOWS_030000 granted to PUBLIC:

If we were go grant these privileges to a role, called APEX_APP_RU, and grant this role to APEX_PUBLIC_USER and any schemas an application is linked to (Workspace to Schema), would that be a workable solution?
The only problem I see right off hand that this might not work is that PUBLIC has synonyms created for the FLOWS_030000 objects. If we revoke the underlying privileges, because of the synonyms, this might not work.

Unable to find the content of data source into infosource

I have successfully created a source system in BW and have activated the business contents but I am unable to find the data source contents in infosource. I have replicated the metadata also but uanble to get? are there any steps to transfer the data from datasource to infosource.?

after the replication, you'll only see the datasources under the node datasources. you need to map a datasource with an infosource (3.5). in bi7 this is not necessary anymore...
but for these kind of basic questions, you should really search the forum before posting a thread.
