Unable to handle the java String

Hi,
I am unable to handle string object(character array) using the negative byte values.
for eg: if i am forming a String Object using byte array which is having negative values(like -127,-118) i am not getting correct ascii value instead i am getting '?' .
Put some light on this.

"-127" -> as an unsigned byte: 129 -> ASCII only
ranges up to 128Add 256 to your negative byte values. It will give correct characters for ur generated string.

On Windows 7, the complaint is

Is your MacBook using Mac OS X 10.6.8 as indicated in your post? If so you will not be able to fully integrate with iCloud.
iCloud and Snow Leopard, by Roger Wilmut describes what iCloud options are available for Snow Leopard.
If you are using Lion, go to iCal>Preferences...>Accounts, and delete/re-add your iCloud CalDAV server.

Can somebody tell me how to handle the java.policy file?
I always get java.net.SocketExceptions and java.security.AccessControlExceptions while connecting to an appserver from an applet.
What do I have to write in the java.policy file, where do I have to place it and do I have to call it in some way form my applet?

The java.policy file goes in your jre installation directory in .../jre/lib/security (there should be one there already).
I used it to allow otherwise restricted permissions for an applet using javax.comm. Add something like the following to the file:
grant codeBase "URL:http://yourDomainName/rootDirectoryOfYourApp/*" {
permission java.security.AllPermission;
This will give the applet downloaded from your site all permissions. You might want to give only certain permissions, I don't know.

SDDM 4 EA3: Unable to launch the Java Virtual Machine (Win 7 64bit)

SQL Developer v4 EA3 is working fine, but I decided to download the stand-alone SQL Developer Data Modeler because I had seen people recommending using it in favor of the one bundled with SQLDEV.
Windows 7 64-bit
Java (64 bit) installed into C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_25
When I double-click the short-cut to start SDDM I get the following pop-up dialog error:

I think I stumbled on the solution just prior to posting, so here is what worked for me in case anyone else runs into this....
I had created a desktop short-cut to "C:\Program Files\datamodeler\datamodeler.exe", which I am guessing is the 32bit version of the binary file.
I was able to launch successfully by pointing to "C:\Program Files\datamodeler\datamodeler64.exe"

That path is incorrect - strip everything after the jdk1.7.0_45\

Is Firefox 3.6.10 technology unable to handle the new youtube?

Youtube made some sort of change(s) 1 day ago. Ever since then numerous links freeze up and firefox loads a "500 internal server error" page. The old youtube user interface was enforced once again. No change after disabling all my extensions. These same sites and new interface load on Chrome, Safari, Firefox4.
Is the current Firefox 3.6.10 technology unable to handle the new youtube?

Sqldeveloper - Windows 7 64 Bit - unable to launch the Java Virtual Machine located at ...

jdk 1.6.0_30
SQL developer 2.1.1
both for windows x 64
My system is windows 7 enterprise and in control panel the path for java JRE is C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe
In sqldeveloper.conf the SetJavaHome is C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_30
The sql developer doesn’t work, the error is: unable to launc the Java Virtual Machine located at path
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_30\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll
Can Someone help me?

You could try upgrading to SQL Developer 3 which is more up to date.
Try running <sqldev>\sqldeveloper\bin\sqldeveloper.exe from a cmd window and see
if there is any more information.
If you type java -version in the same command window what do you get?

Unable to download the Java 6 JDK API documentation

Hi,
now that all the stuff is on Oracle, I'm unable to download the Java 6 API documentation for offline use. NetBeans (an Oracle product after all) requires a local copy to show JavaDoc with code completion.
Is anyone able to point me to the correct download location? I've browsed the new JDK download page many times and haven't found it.

When i ran the xjc , it generated 3 .java files
AddCtq.java , Ctq.java and VariableData.java
But i am unable to compile any of the above files...
The Error i am getting is

I suspect you are trying to compile the files one by one. You may also be trying to compile them disregarding the package structure.
From your post, I gather these files are in the package: com.geindustrial.sqms
Therefore, if they are not so already, put them under a directory structure:
com/geindustrial/sqms
and then compile with:
javac com/geindustrial/sqms/AddCtq.java com/geindustrial/sqms/Ctq.java com/geindustrial/sqms/VariableData.java
(The above is all on one line.)

Not sure if this is the correct solution but to edit your classpath go to your start button and select settings. then from there select control panel. then select system and when you get the pop up menu select the advanced tab. you should see an environment variables button. when you select environment variables you will get another pop up menu. there should be a listing for classpath. select it and click edit.
start button -> settings -> control panel -> system -> advanced -> classpath
move your cursor to the end of the listing for your classpath and add whatever file or directory you need to add. then click ok. make sure you include the entire path and if you need to add a jar file also include the .jar extension. however, it may be enough that you include the path up to the directory where the jar is located.
once you add to your classpath, you will need to close and restart the application that needs the new classpath.

I am unable to overwrite the Useragent-String in the config in Firefox 4. Any Tipps?

In Firefox 3.6 I could add to the UserAgent-String with:
general.useragent.extra
But this doesnt work anymore.
Now I want to change the string the Netbook in order to the one of the Mobile versions of firefox.
How can I do that permanently?

Ways to add things to the user agent string have been removed from Firefox 4. You can replace the user agent sting using general.useragent.override

Unable to compile the java file

Hi,
I am following the step by step process of DOC id : 184339.1 on How to Send an Email With Attachment Via Forms 6i Using ORA_JAVA Package. I downloaded the activation framework and sendmail 1.1.3..When i am compiling the file given the DOC id namely sendmail.java, I get the following error
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoclassDefFoundError: sendmail/java
Could anyone help me out ..

Most common cause of the problem: JAVA_HOME environment variable not set, or set incorrectly.
It should point to your java directory: ie C:\java1_4\ NOT C:\java1_4\bin
Another possible cause is spaces in the path names where you have installed applications.
