Unable to invoke ReadProject WebService on a HTTPS environment

Hi,
I have customized Ms Project Server 2010 to invoke PSI WebService in the checkin event handler.
The code works very well in a HTTP environment. However, it doesn't work in HTTPS environment. The following message is displayed on accessing the service in HTTPS environment
The server was unable
to process the request due to an internal error.  For more information
about the error, either turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults (either from
ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the <serviceDebug> configuration
behavior) on the server in order to send the exception information back to the
client, or turn on tracing as per the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 SDK
documentation and inspect the server trace logs
I am unable to trace logs to find out the root cause of this issue. Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

HTTP 401 means the server running on specified URL may have HTTP Basic Authentication enabled. Please cross-check whether this is the case and if yes then configure the same in composite. BTW, "01hw331924" seems to be a familiar host name. ;)

  • Unable to invoke .asmx webservice

    Hi I am trying to Invoke an .asmx wsdl.
    When I have pasted the below url in my partner link I have got the exception as :
    "FAULT_CODE: OTHER_ERROR : Failed to read WSDL from http://01hw331924/MyService/GISIntgrtionService.asmx?wsdl"
    But it has given the below error while testing: HTTP Connection Error Code is 401.
    When I have opened through browser the WSDL has opened properly.
    So I have copied the WSDL in my local directory and developed a BPEL service.
    But when I try to test the below error has occurred.

  • Unable to invoke Webmethods webservice

    Hi ,
    I have received a wsdl file from Webmethods tem which i need to use.
    Since i dont have a url i used the wsdl locally and got the model created and executing the webservice.
    Problem :
    Since i am using the wsdl locally the server is unable to find it at runtime and saying file not found exception for the wsdl file.
    Can we register the wsdl file as such in service registry of CE7.1 or do we need to have the url for the wsdl as mandatory.
    IS there any other solution???
    Regards,
    Aditya

    Hi Aditya,
    Follow the steps of this blog:
    XI : How To publish WSDL generated from XI to UDDI
    From step 5 you have a WSDL URL to use into your application.

    I have an inherent dislike of systems and application that have too many moving parts. Keep the moving parts to a minimum.. and the code is faster, more robust, and a lot easier to read, understand and maintain.
    So in that regard, I do not understand what the deal is with utl_dbws and why it could not just use plain vanilla PL/SQL..? But then there are likely Java faithful that proclaims The Religion too when designing PL/SQL interface packages in Oracle... :-(
    I've posted an example of how to call a web service using PL/SQL code only, no Java, in {message:id=4205205}.

  • BPEL to invoke Webservice secured with HTTP Basic authentication

    Hi All,
    Iam trying to call a Synchronous BPEL porcess from BPEL by passing HTTP basic authentication.I have done below steps to achieve this.
    1) Created Target Synchronous process ex : B
    2) Created Source Syncronous Process ex : A
    Iam trying to call B(Target) from A(source).
    3) Open Composite.xml of A(Source)
    4) Right Click on External Refernce B(Target) parter link and click Configure WS policies
    5) Under Security tab attach oracle/wss_username_token_client_policy
    6) Login to em/console
    7) Right click on A(Source) Composite and click Service/Refence Properties>>B(Target)
    8) Enter username and password under HTTP Basic Authentication.
    9)Test from em.console(when we are testing under security tab I have checked None radio button)
    So this is the Error message which is throwing.

  • Issue in invoking the webservice on EBS 12.1.3

    Hi,
    We are using R12.1.3 version of EBS. We have developed the custome PL SQL logic and deployed it on the Integration repository. Generated the WSDL and Deploy process were successful on IR. Authentication type used was "Username Token". Created the necessary user grants.
    When we try to invoke the webservice from SOAP UI, we are getting below error:
    <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <env:Header/>
    <env:Body>
    <env:Fault>
    <faultcode>env:Server</faultcode>
    <faultstring>oracle.apps.fnd.soa.util.SOAException: ServiceProcessingError: System Errornull</faultstring>
    <faultactor/>
    </env:Fault>
    </env:Body>
    </env:Envelope>
    Also, we checked in the log files and found below entries.
    <MSG_TEXT>An error occurred for port: SOAProvider: oracle.webservices.provider.ProviderException: oracle.apps.fnd.soa.util.SOAException: ServiceProcessingError: System Errornull.</MSG_TEXT>
    <MSG_TEXT>Unable to determine operation id from SOAP Message.</MSG_TEXT>
    Can someone help me in this issue? We are successfully able to invoke the same webservices on R12.1 version but getting an error in 12.1.3 version!!!
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Vasanth

    Hi,
    Try seeing the log messages after doing the following setup in the instance :-
    1. Telnet to environment
    1. In $INST_TOP/ora/10.1.3/j2ee/oafm/config/oc4j.properties
    1. Add following property at the end of the file : SOA_ENABLE_STANDALONE_LOGGING=TRUE
    2. Bounce oafm container using script $ADMIN_SCRIPTS_HOME/adoafmctl.sh
    3. Perform any SOA specific action like generate.
    SOA specific log would be created at : $INST_TOP/soa/SOALog.log
    This file should show you the exact error happening.
    Thanks,

    <summary>oracle.fabric.common.FabricInvocationException: Unable to invoke endpoint URI "http://xxxxxxxxx/xxxx/xxxx/sendEmail" successfully due to: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Bad response: 415 Unsupported Media Type from url http://xxxxxxxxx/xxxx/xxxx/sendEmail</summary>
    </part>
    <part  name="detail">
    <detail>Unable to invoke endpoint URI "http://xxxxxxxxx/xxxx/xxxx/sendEmail" successfully due to: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Bad response: 415 Unsupported Media Type from url http://xxxxxxxxx/xxxx/xxxx/sendEmail</detail>
    </part>
    <part  name="code">
    <code>415</code>
    </part>
    I'm guessing that it's because my payload is lacking the HTTP header content-type : application/xml. The webservice endpoint itself is working fine as I'm able to test it through other means such as POSTMan and soapUI.
    Is there a way to set the HTTP header content-type of the payload? Is there anyway to check or verify? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm using Weblogic 7.0.
    You must use two jars:
    - webserviceclient+ssl.jar, which you can find somewhere in the
    weblogic distribution, and
    - the jar containing the proxy classes, which is created by the
    tool jwsCompile when you compile the webservice (edited with Workshop). For this
    latter you may follow the instructions in
    http://e-docs.bea.com/workshop/docs70/help/index.html#guide/
    tutorial/tutFirstWebServiceIntro.html at step 8
    Still, if you happen to understand what my problem is, hints for
    me are really welcome.

  • Unable to invoke a EJB from a BPEL process

    I am unable to invoke a EJB from a BPEL process. Whenever I try to test it from the oracle EM, I get the below exception. I am using WebLogic 10.3.3, SOA suite 11.1.1.3 and JDev 11.1.1.3 .
    This is what I see from the EM....

    Looks like its not able to find the javaInterface mentioned above.
    I have a simple EJB with one business method and a very simple BPEL process.
    @Stateless(name = "GreetingEJB", mappedName = "GreetingEJB-GreetingEJB-GreetingEJB")
    @WebService
    public class GreetingEJBBean implements GreetingEJB {
    public GreetingEJBBean() {
    public String greetUser(String name){
    return ("Hello " + name);
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I haven't tried from a BPEL process, but I have had success (as in Lucas's blogs) of using services and references as EJB Java Interface. This is with EJB java interfaces solely of base types (i.e. String foo(String s)).
    At high level here's what I have noted so far:
    1. Per Lucas's blog, @javaInterface is not being added to the ejb.binding automatically but it's not clear to me when this is and is not required given that interface.java is specified for the reference or service. Would interface.java and @javaInterface ever be different? I've been adding @javaInterface manually anyways since Lucas is a smart guy and I'd rather avoid errors. :-)
    2. Dropping an EJB interface jar in SCA-INF/lib works, but I've had the problem that the JDeveloper SOA Plugin doesn't see those classes until I stop and restart JDeveloper. Until then, I'm confronted with the java->wsdl mapping error. I was sort of primed to figure this one out since I ran into similar issues with SOA SpringBean components.
    3. Dropping EJB interface source in SCA-INF/src is more reliable, because then I can build the project (i.e. create SCA-INF/classes) and the JDeveloper SOA Plugin seems to resolve these brand new classes immediately.
    4. I've tried to invoke an EJB java-interface reference with a slightly complicated java interface (a class parameter with some fields, one of which is an array of another class). The auto-generated WSDL doesn't look exactly right to me (but I'm new to JAXB). Mediator maps to it just fine and the project compiles and deploys normally but fails at runtime. I have not researched in depth. It's not clear to me from the documentation and release notes whether I should expect for it to work, or whether I should expect to have to create my own JAXB mapping. If the latter, I really need a good example!

  • Invoking a webservice from a servlet

    Hi,
    I am able to invoke a webservice using a Standalone java program. I am using the below command to invoke the web service.
    java com.javasrc.webservices.age.AgeServiceClient -lhttp://localhost:8080/axis/services/AgeService "Siva" 33
    Now if I write the whole code in a method I am not able to retreive the values into the servlet. Can any please suggest me how to invoke a web service from a servlet/JSP. Please tell if there any sites for this.
    Here is my Client code:
    import org.apache.axis.client.Call;
    import org.apache.axis.client.Service;
    import org.apache.axis.encoding.XMLType;
    import org.apache.axis.utils.Options;
    import javax.xml.namespace.QName;
    import javax.xml.rpc.ParameterMode;
    public class AgeServiceClient
    public static void main(String [] args)
    try
         Options options = new Options(args);
         String endpointURL = options.getURL();
         String name;
         Integer age;
         args = options.getRemainingArgs();
         if ((args == null) || (args.length < 2))
              name = "NoName";
              age = new Integer( 0 );
         else
              name = args[ 0 ];
              age = new Integer( args[ 1 ] );
              Service service = new Service();
              Call call = (Call) service.createCall();
              call.setTargetEndpointAddress( new java.net.URL(endpointURL) );
              call.setOperationName( new QName("http://age.webservices.javasrc.com", "age") );
              call.addParameter( "arg1", XMLType.XSD_STRING,ParameterMode.IN);
              call.addParameter( "arg2", XMLType.XSD_INT, ParameterMode.IN);
              call.setReturnType( org.apache.axis.encoding.XMLType.XSD_STRING);
              String ret = (String) call.invoke( new Object[]{name,age});
              System.out.println("Age result : " + ret);
         catch (Exception e)
              System.err.println(e.toString());
    Thanks in advance
    Prashanth

    This is very simple maybe you don't have servlet experience.
    Simply you create a servlet and put your client main method in another one (not static method) + importing jar of your client and other associated jar files in WEB_INF\lib folder of servlet.
    check for helloworld servlet then you can implement servlet for your client.

  • How to invoke a web service using https

    Hi,
    I have a few security related questions surrounding BPEL process manager.
    1. Does the BPEL engine have the capability to invoke a web service using https (HTTP over SSL)? Does it automatically do that if partner link URI starts with https:// ?
    2. If not, what needs to be done to enable accessing a https based web service?
    3. I need to write a web service that accepts a message and updates certain information in the database. The web service will be deployed in an OC4J instance in Oracle App Server. We want to allow the web service to be accessed from BPEL only by users registered in the database. What is the recommended way to pass username and password to a webservice if service is invoked from BPEL process manager? Note that specifying username/password in bpel.xml is not an option.
    Thanks,
    Pranav

    1. Does the BPEL engine have the capability to invoke a web service using https (HTTP over SSL)? Does it automatically do that if partner link URI starts with https:// ?
    We currently don't have support for HTTP over SSl. We are working on it to include this functionality in near future.
    2. If not, what needs to be done to enable accessing a https based web service?
    I am not sure it is possible with current product offering. I will confirm it after discussing with our concerned development group. There is some work going to integrate with Oblix security mechanism [recently acquired by Oracle].

    This will be easier to do if we can use Oblix along with BPEL PM. Could you please let us know more about your application so that we can provide you the customized solution till it's part of the product. You can send this query to [email protected] so that our product management team can give you more detailed roadmap regarding this.
