Unable to publish new or changes to old website

For three days, I have been unable to publish my website(s). I have three. Two are published, but I can't publish changes to them. The third is new and I am unable to publish it to .mac. The same error message appears each time I try:
Publish Error. Publish failed due to a network error. Check your Internet connection and try again.
My connection is fine (wireless). Email and browers work fine. I even switched to a new browser to check. I re-installed the OS 10.4.8 software. I've done everything I can think of - and can't get IWeb to work.
Has anyone experienced this problem? Any advice? Solutions?

Not an uncommon problem.

Doesn't necessarily mean that your ability to upload to .Mac via WebDav is fine, by any means. Here's some things to try.
First, separate your sites into individual Domain files. This way iWeb will not re-create all of your Sites each time you try to publish, nor will it chug through the verification process for everything you have. You will only be dealing with one Site at a time--makes things much easier, especially if you have blogs on your sites. You can do this using a nice little freeware app called iWebSites, or you can use the manual folder method. I like the folder structure, myself. I have seen a number of instances where publishing problems were resolved by only attempting to publish a single site at a time.
Second, Try disabling any firewall, proxy servers, or network filtering software you may be using. (Apple can't provide specific configuration or setup information for your proxy server or firewall to allow .Mac publishing, as ports, IP addresses, and other information may change over time.)
Next, simplify your Internet connection. For example, if you connect through multiple networking devices, such as hubs and routers, try connecting your computer directly to your modem and test to see if the issue occurs.
And finally, here are some additional notes on publish errors.

I attempted to install the latest iTunes after downloading it a few nights ago, as it was apparently required if I wanted to download movies. I got "Error code 2738" continuously.
I removed the old iTunes and made sure that nothing else related to it was running. I also removed the old QuickTime.
Now, in attempting to install iTunes OR QuickTime, I still get error code 2738. I now have no way to access my iPod or to download new music, as I now have no iTunes or Quicktime. Please help!

Short story: I had to move itunes program from computer onto external hard drive. Copied the program from external hard drive to reinstall back onto computer. Now I can't open itunes program, remove it, or install a new version. Is this because it is a copy and not the original program file? I no longer have the original file. What can I do?

I do not remember it because when I bought the my iPhone 4s in 2011 I didn't understand how it works and asked a representative to set it up for me. The representative helped me and gave a piece of paper with login and password but I lost it a long time ago.
Before resetting the settings I turned off "Find my iPhone" function, but it anyway asks me to enter my old Apple ID and password. I have the original box, documents, receipt. So how can I solve this problem?

You would have to change it back to your old email address in order to turn off "Find My iPhone" on your devices. After you changed it back to your old address and deactivated "Find My iPhone" (activation lock) you could change your Apple ID to your new address again. Now it should wok on all your devices.

I have been updating my PSE since 10. Recently I purchased PSE13 as I didn't see an update for my 12. I was changing to a new laptop as my old laptop had been patched and worked and was showing signs of giving out. It was a Window's 7OS. My new one is a Windows 8 OS so I bought the 13 and downloaded it on the new laptop. Our desktop had died so I downloaded the 13 on the new desk computer also. Not thinking I downloaded 13 on my old laptop as I hope to get it patched up enough to be a backup for my photography. When I tried to activate it I realized that I had downloaded it too often. I didn't know you could only use it on two computers. Learn something new every day.. Any way I removed it and now my PSE 12 does not seem to be working. Now it could be something that I did or something that is an issue with the laptop. this laptop has all the previous editions on board as I always tried to update, except for the year I got a really good deal on Black Friday. I also notice that the new laptop has a copy of PSE 12 in the program list. To my knowledge I have never deactivated any of my PSE's except the extra 13 downloaded. Bottom line, do I need to go in and deactivate previous PSE versions and removed them from my computer? I could certainly use the space and secondly, can I deactivate the PSE 12 and then go back and reacitivate it and install it again on the old laptop or the desktop, whichever I deside would be the most appropriate place for the newer program. For the PSE 12 since it is an updater for 11, does the 11 still need to be on the laptop? thanks for anyone who can understand what I am trying to say and can advise me as to my next move. If your iPod is 8GB, then it is not a 3rd generation Touch - no matter who they are and no matter who said it was! If it has model number A1288 etched into the casing on the back, then that identifies the 2nd gen Touch. (Yes, there is a 4th gen Touch in 8Gb capacity, but still no 8GB 3rd gen - ever). The third generation is model No. A1318.

Settings > Message > imessage > select the Old Apple id and make " Disconenct "
The make " Reconnect " and enter there your new Apple id.

Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID, tap the ID shown, sign out, sign back in with the new ID. However, app updates for your apps purchased with your older ID will always ask for the password for this ID. (Apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them.)
