You have to set the java compile path at main level in your web server admin page
ie in the global settings and jdk/jre configure set the path of your jdk to your java directory

  • Unable to run jsp as include using jsp:include tag

    I am trying to run the basic jsp:include sample provided by Oracle in OC4J 10g. When I run the code, It seems like include file is treated as text/html and not run at all. Can somebody help me in figuring out what I am missing here..
    Here is the code for main.jsp
    <jsp:include page="content.jsp">
    <jsp:param name="a" value="1"/>
    <jsp:param name="b" value="2"/>
    <jsp:param name="c" value="3"/>
    </jsp:include>
    Here is the code for content.jsp
    <p> Included Content </p>
    <p> Parameters - ${param.a}, ${param.b}, ${param.c} </p>
    When I run this code in JDeveloper10g using the embedded OC4J as well as Application Server 10g, I get the following output.
    Included Content
    Parameters - ${param.a}, ${param.b}, ${param.c}
    Note that the parameter values are not substituted properly.

  • Class not found when I run JSPs

    I set up and can run JSPs in iPlanet 4.1 SP9 on NT. But if I use anything
    such as Date() I get a Server Error and a Class Not Found in the error log.
    Can someone tell me how to confire where the .class and .jar support files
    go, or where do I put them. In the JDK install directory or in the iPlanet
    install directory.
    Thanks, Gary

    Something to note, you must have superuser priveleges to run ibconf.
    Check out this document about installing a PCI-GPIB on a Solaris machine. There is a section in it on page 9 about configuring the software with ibconf.
    If you still have problems after reading through this repost.

    you check these points for this issue.
    1. Check JDEV_USER_HOME
    2. Design a Test PG and test it first.
    3. Your OAF patch level: is 12.0.4 ? Are you running with r12?

  • Unable to run ADF Project Using with Jdev 10 and Weblogic server 9.2

    Dear All,
    I am unable to run ADF Project on Weblogic Server 9.2. I am created Sample Project with ADF Control. This was when we create jsp at that time i am selected libraries ADF. After created war file. This war i am deploying into Server. At that time i am getting error java.lang.noclassfound error.
    so please tell me how we can run these application.
    Regards,
    Suresh.V

    Hard to help you here. JDev 10 used to work with OAS 10g as application server. This does not mean that you can't use Weblogic9.2, but because it is not the default configuration you may have some problems doing this.
    One problem is that you need to install the ADF runtime libraries in the WLS 9.2 server, but there is no installer I know of. You can try to deploy the needed libraries together with your app, but you have to figure out which libraries you need.
    Next thing is that you should deploy an EAR instead of a WAR.

    We are migrating from 10.1.2 environment and 10.1.3 has 2 BIG problems!
    1) You cannot run your applications under JDK 1.4 !!! Our production environment is 10.1.2 app server...this means we would have to build our apps in 1.4 yet be FORCED to develop in 1.5 in order to use OC4J. Not very backwards compatible.
    2) The side application navigator is not very flexible. We cannot right click a file and refactor it for example add a new file or move files via drag and drop. In addition you can't rename a file easily...you have to go to the file menu.
    Any solutions to these problems ? The JDK problem is a big one for anyone moving over
    to this IDE.
    Help!!

    hi,
    your problem is you didn't set java home in your path..
    before running your application create a ".bat" file like,
    set JAVA_HOME="path where you installed jdk eg: c:\jdk1.5";

  • FRM-41214 unable to run report from forms with parameters

    Hi all,
    I am unable to run a report from forms if I pass parameters. Report is running fine in reports builder and in url if I access the report straightly.
    I used set_report_object_property to pass the parameters.
    Any clues to solve this problem?
    Priya

    Hi Jeneesh,
    Code is below:
    myreport1 :=find_report_object('MYREP');
    reportdata := Get_Parameter_List('reportsdata');
    IF NOT Id_Null(reportdata) THEN
    Destroy_Parameter_List( reportdata );
    END IF;
    reportdata := Create_Parameter_List('reportsdata');
    Add_Parameter(reportdata, 'account_number', TEXT_PARAMETER, :parameter.account_number);
         /* Setting the properties into Report Object */
         SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(myreport1, REPORT_COMM_MODE, SYNCHRONOUS);
         SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(myreport1, REPORT_DESTYPE, CACHE);

         vrep := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(myreport1,reportdata);
    /* Checking for Report Server is started or not, if not throw an exception else proceed */
         if vrep = vrep||'_0'then
         raise form_trigger_failure;
    end if;
         vjob_id := substr(vrep,length(vc_reportserver)+2,length(vrep));

  • Gateway Timeout error when running JSP page in 10.1.3 preview

    I am unable to run a JSF JSP page with nothing in it but text. I get an error in the browser:
    Gateway Timeout
    The following error occurred:
    [code=GATEWAY_TIMEOUT] A gateway timeout occurred. The server is unreachable. Retry the request.
    The url is:
    http://82.123.84.247:8988/ListProto2-ViewController-context-root/faces/test.jsp
    My laptop uses DHCP and 82.123.84.247 is currently my IP address. If I change the url to use localhost instead of the IP address, the page displays without error. I tried changing Tools -> Preferences -> Web Browser and Proxy to exclude the proxy for 82.123.84.247 (localhost was already excluded), but this didn't help.
    I saw a post from a year ago where someone had the same problem with an earlier version of JDev, so I don't think it is specific to the preview release. It must be some kind of setup problem. Unfortunately, no one responded to the other post.

    Hi Vicki,
    Under the main menu, pick:
    Tools | Embedded OC4J Server Preferences
    and visit the "Startup" panel in that dialog.
    For the "Host Name or IP Address Used to Refer to the Embedded OC4J" field, click the (*) Specific Host Name option, and type in "localhost" for the host name.
    That usually fixes it for me.
