Unable to see or import jpegs from photo cd

I am trying to import jpegs from a photo cd prepared by a photo store when having my film processed. The cd is recognised and I can see the folders and the actual jpeg files but cannot view photos or import into iphoto. Is there any way I can access or import these jpegs?

Hi, Charlene. You might try copying all the jpegs from the CD into a new folder on your hard drive, and then importing them from that folder into iPhoto. If that's successful, you can then trash the folder containing the copied jpegs, since you'll have them in your iPhoto Library and backed up on the CD.

Hi there,
I am a new MacBook Pro owner with Leopard 10.5.1 and iLife 08. Absolutely impressed by the system, but a bit disappointed that importing JPEG formatted photos from files sometimes results in garbled photos in iPhoto and Aperture, even though the originals are simply fine. Tried to used other software like GIMP, but the issue remains.
Is this a known Mac OS X problem? If so, does anyone have a solution for it?
I would be eternally grateful for any help I can get on the isue.

I even tried deleting iMovie, bought a new copy and installed it, but the folder "iPhoto Videos" is still there and I can't get new clips loaded to iMovie, especially where I want them. Please help.

The iPhoto Videos do occasionally have problems. I've seen a lot of people write messages to this Discussion group describing similar problems. The only thing that seems to get around this problem is to pull the video clips out of iPhoto then import them directly into iMovie. Once the troubles with iPhoto Videos starts, I haven't yet seen anyone write back with something that they did to fix it.
The most difficult part of doing this is the movies in iPhoto might be a little difficult to track down. But you can create a smart alum that does that for you. Go to iPhoto > File Menu > New Smart Album:
Set the first pulldown menu to keyword, second to contains, then in the last box type Movie with a capital 'M'. Then click OK. This smart album more or less does as search of the whole iPhoto Library and only displays items that match your search tearm of "Movie" exactly. In that smart album then you can find the original Movies you want to move out of iPhoto and into iMovie, <CTRL> click on the Movie clip, then choose Reveal in Finder. That will jump you out of iPhoto temporarily and into the iPhoto Library folder. From there you can move that movie file to the desktop. Move all the clips you want, once they're all collected up go to iMovie and go to the File Menu > Import Files. Then point it to the desktop where you moved your video clips.
This will put all those videos into an Event folder in iMovie and bypass iPhoto Videos altogether.

When I try to use 'Stacked Column Bar'. with data assigned in the graphs, and want to see it in the 'Preview' mode in Xeclsius, I unable to see the graphs apart from the Axes ans Series Value, the graphs becomes totaly invisible why So ?

For basic understanding of Dashboards and Models you can use standard Templates or samples which ll come along with dashboard designer(Formly Xcelsius) installation.
For path File-->Templates(or Samples).
Under Templates you ll have different categories and for each you ll find the dashboard Templates.

Unable to see Java 5 features from Doclet API

The Doclet API was extended in Java 5 for getting information in generics, but I have been unable to get it to work. For example, calling ClassDoc.typeParameters and typeParamTags always returns an empty array.

Unable to see the imported files in ODI after executing my java program

I am using the following java code to import the physical topology into ODI11G.

The above code went through fine while executing my program.But, i can't able to see the imported topology in ODI.
Can you suggest me how to import the topologies as well as work repository into ODI through Java programming.

I would do that as a last resort, as it happens to be a client server, I don't think they'd appreciate me needing to reboot a Unix server during the day. Would anyone have any other suggestions?
I just removed the JSPs from the live server, and refreshed the page and Tomcat could not find the JSPs, so I'm sure I have the correct directory. I then made sure the .java and .class files were deleted from the work directory, uploaded my new files (again) and hit refresh... and yet again I was served the same code as always, when I view source it still shows me the old source code even though the JSP file and compiled java files and class show that the new file should be shown, not the old one.

Imported jpegs from iPhoto to iMovie appearing black!

I have got an iMovie project underway and need to import a Jpeg image into the video. I first load the photo into iPhoto, then this appears in iMovie. However, when dragging it to the project just before the video starts, it appears as the actual photo on the timeline but nothing when skimming or playing the video - it appears black!
How can I solve this?

iMovie likes to have its material in dv format, meaning you'll need to convert.

Import video from Photos app (OS X) / iCloud drive to iMove project

I have some video clips on my iCloud drive that appears in my Photo app on OS X, that I want to edit in a iMovie project on my MacBook. How do I import these. I can't drag and drop from the Photo app to iMovie.

If you turned off or uncheck iCloud Photo Library and My Photo Stream in the Photos app preference window, then the delete should not sync up to the cloud. Also, until you empty the 'Recently Deleted' container, the images are still on your Mac:

LR5 Not importing .jpeg from Nikon D3200

I'm trying to simply import the photos from my Nikon D3200's 32GB SanDisk. I take my photos in RAW + FINE, however, LR5 can only locate the RAW files and import .NEF.

Import video from photo stream to iPhoto library

Hello, I'm trying to import a video from a friend's photo stream ( which I've subscribed to ) into iPhoto on my MacBook Pro.   The video doesn't show up in iPhoto shared , but the photo stream does as well as photos in the stream.   I've checked other photo streams with videos and I am able to import those.
The particular video I'm after is about 2 minutes long, was taken on a friends iPhone 4.   I'm able to see the video by subscribing my iPhone 5 to the photo stream, so I don't understand why it's not showing up in iPhoto on my MacBook Pro.
Should I have my friend re-send the video to her photo stream ?   Any other ideas ?

When I had iphoto I was able to upload pictures form my events onto shutterfly. Now, with this new prgram, photos, I am unable to down load photos into shutterfly. Can someone help with this issue?

You should e able to see the Photos Library in any file chooser dialog panel in the sidebar.
When you select files for uploading on the webpage, scroll the file chooser panel down, until you are seeing the "Media" section in the sidebar. Click the "Photos" icon and select the "Photos" library. That will work, if your current Photos library has been enabled as the system Photos Library. The option to make it the system photo library is in the Photos Preferences > General. If this option is disabled, your library is already the System Photos library.

Your iTunes library doesn't contain photos. It only syncs photos stored on your computer to your phone.
If you mean that you want to import photo stream photos to your computer, you first have to save them to the camera roll on your phone (by opening the my photo stream album, tapping Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll), then import them as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
If you mean that you want to enable photo stream on your computer so photos you take on your phone are automatically streamed to your computer, you first have to sync your computer with your iCloud account. If your computer meets the minimum system requirements, you can set up iCloud as explained here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/, then turn on photo stream.

When importing photographs from Photos into Adobe Elements does Elements make a separate copy of the photograph?

I use Adobe Elements Organizer, and don't want to use Photos except to transfer photos from my iPad and iPhone to my MAC. Then my plan is to delete them. But I need to understand where the photographs are stored on my MAC, to avoid having multiple copies. With the previous iPhoto app you could never really identify the location of the files--and it seemed that Adobe Elements was making a copy in a separate directory on import to Elements. Now with the new Photos app, I don't know what is happening.

Then you might want to just use image capture (in your applications folder) to transfer the photos instead - that would simply your workflow
And as to where the photos are - same as before - in the Photos (or iPhoto - or Aperture) library - and yes if you import to Photos and then in some undisclosed way add the photos to PSE organizer you have two copies - one in PSE and one in Photos

Unable to see R/3 FM from Crystal Reports

Hi All,
I have created a Function Module in R/3 (Remote-Enabled) and trying to access from the Crystal reports to design a report. But I am not able to see that function Module under "SAP Tables, Clusters and Functions"-> FN. Is there anything I am missing out on either FM side or Crystal Connectivity? Please help.

As per your response, the input value has a I_ prefix but the problem is how do I create the POP-UP to input the value of the Company Code? It doesnt pop up automatically!!! as it happens in R/3. Please do suggest the solution.

Importing jpegs from file to Iphoto 09 under SL 10.6.1 4 GB memory

First time use of Iphoto after install. Attempted to import 980 3.3Mb images from file.
Beachball starts when 600 images are reached. Tried deleting library and repeated same result. Tried three times.
Deleted Ilibrary and created a new folder and moved 480 files to second folder. Import worked correctly with both folders imported separtely.
This is either a major bug or design error! If Iphoto can't handle a trival project like this with 4 Gb of memory it needs to warn the user.
BTW this also happens on my friends Imac with 10.4 and Iphoto 08
The problem does not seem to be SL as Photoshop and Bridge handle the files properly.
Nor the way to impress a new crossover from Windows.

Was there a question there?
As to impressing people: editorializing doesn't. If you have question, ask it. It may be a surprise to you but we other users don't really care if you are impressed or not.
