Unable to select DISK2 during installation

I've downloaded all necessary files, not sure about the Linux version (I've downloaded RHEL4-Beta2-i386-AS-disc1 ... disk5).
During the installation process the installer asks me to specify location for Disk2. I've put all this Linux files into Disk2 directory which I created but it does not accept it, perhaps I need to specify different location or I've downloaded wrong files, please help me to figure out

you only need two ZIP files (one from OTN and a second from either partner, SuSE or Redhat) . you downloaded the wrong Linux portion. other threads include navigation details, here I cut and paste them from previous topic in this forum:
from the OTN link in initial post click through to redhat DVD, then on the DVD2 link it will take you to a signup page at:
http://www.redhat.com/mktg/voeval/
apply for it.. and shortly you can download it from the channels' page by navigating as follows:
1. click 'channels' on top
2. click 'view a list of all avaiable channels'
3. click 2nd on the list should be:Red Hat, Oracle, VMWare Evaluation
4. click downloads (on the right)
on the bottom you should see a link to v1.4...

Unable to tap options during installation, how to complete?

The feature 'tap to click' is by default disabled during my Mountain Lion reinstall, now I cannot finalize the installation. I use a Mac Mini with external Magic Trackpad. I can move the cursor on the screen and have 'tabbed' my way through the Disk Utility and installation process.
I have selected the destination HD to install OS X on and only have to press/tap 'Continue' to finalize the installation. However... somehow I cannot tap to click... When I tap on my trackpad, nothing happens. No tap, tab, or keyboard combination gets my mouse cursor to the button that will bring me to the next step. Also, I cannot activate 'tap to click' this early in the installation process.
Major bug, or do I miss something? No, I do not have a mouse in the house that I could use.
Help is much appreciated (or a mouse :-) )
(sorry for the bad picture, but my Mac Mini is connected to a TV)

You have added a new dimension to my life - after using the trackpad for 2 years I have never found out it could physically click. Guess that is the only bad thing of using a Mac with TV in bed only (soft surface)

WRE53G Unable to Be found during installation

I recently purchased the range expander WRE54G version 3. During the installation process it is able to find my wireless connection just fine, however when it looks for the WRE54G it says it cannot be found. My expander is plugged in and powered. I did everything that the booklet said to do. What is the problem?
Also, what does it mean if the link light is flashing between blue and red? The Activity light stays blue always.
If anyone can help me, that would be great!!

your computer to port number 1 of the router.. Range expander to port number 2 and modem to
internet port. and Make sure you're router is unsecured (no security enabled), press and
hold the autoconfig button on your range expander for 10 seconds. wait for the link and
activity lights to be blue. if both of them are blue then the range expander is good to go!
if the activity light is still red, press and hold the reset button (on the range expander)
for 30 seconds, then after 30 seconds unplug the power from the range expander and plug it
back in. wait for the lights to be stable and repeat the process all over again.. You're
only good to go if both lights are blue. Tell me if it works ok? thanks for your time.

I want to transfer MIC Result recording to Batch class.
For that, i am trying to create MIC & giving class characteristic name in QS21, and then under control data, I am unable to select, Quantitative. By default system is selecting Qualitative. But I want to create that MIC as Quantitative.
Is there any setting for this?

Selecting custom namespace during installation of Infrastructure

I'm performing a new installation of Oracle Application Server Infrastructure and Middle Tier.
I'm uncertain of what I should specify as my namespace during installation.
Some information on my setup (changed names for posting):
Server1:
hostname: vadar.mycompany.com
serving: Application server infrastructure
Server2:
hostname: ginger.mycompany.com
serving: application sesrver middletier (portal)
When installing the infrastructure it gives a suggested namespace of:
dn=com, dn=mycompany, dn=vadar
should i keep the default or change the namespace one level up to just dn=com,dn=mycompany?

Message 'computer unable to connect to printer' appears during installation of laserjet p1102w.

During installation of wireless software for Laserjet P1102W on computer with XP Professional (pk2), the message ' printer was able to connect to wireless network. However, this computer is unable to connect to the printer.' I verified the computer and printer both connected to same named network with same WEP , open, key, etc. credentials. I have a linksys connected to the computer and cable modem. When I connect using the USB connect wire to the computer directly, I can print. Both software, wired and wireless, were loaded. My HP Inkjet printer is wired to the linksys and works for multiple wireless network computers. Do I need to have a different printer? I thought i could still have a truly wireless printer!?! I am a novice at this. Thanks for any assistance you can give.

I called HP support. The tech was very knowledgeable and helpful. The HP Smart Install program (in printer and on CD) that came in the box was an old version. I needed to reset the printer back to factory default and download the new firmware from HP.com internet site.
The older software had an incorrect router address (network). You can see the router (IP) address when you do the Self Test (holding down the 'on' button) under network Information. The IPv4 address should be the same as your router. Now my printer and computer are looking at the same network.
Works great! Love this LaserJet. Faster than my last HP LaserJet 4L.

Windows XP can't connect to OfficeJet 4630 during installation

Just bought a new OfficeJet 4630 and am very excited to use its wireless features. I got it connected to our in-home wireless router (Netgear) very easily, typing the WEP key right into the printer's keypad. I was subsequently able to install it on my DELL Latitude, from which I can print wirelessly or plugged in to USB, as well as cloud printing and ePrinting. Test pages, alignment pages, etc., all have printed just fine. My wife's acer netbook is another story. She's running Windows XP and has hit a major snag in the installation process. Whether we install the software and drivers from the internet download location specific to the OfficeJet 4630 or with the included CD, it makes it past the step of installing software but encounters an error when it is time to connect to the printer. The software has us choose whether to connect wirelessly, over USB, or later, and following the on screen instructions for either wireless or USB leads to the same error: The computer is unable to connect to the printer at this time.
During installation, when we choose to connect wirelessly and the installation software shows us a list of network printers to choose from, the OfficeJet shows up and we can select it - we can also find it by typing in the IP Address (10.0.0.9) into the Advanced Search bar. We can type the IP address into the web browser and see the printer's EMS and edit various options. We've made sure that my wife's computer is on the Workgroup MSHOME (since I read somewhere that OfficeJets only like to work on that workgroup and not any others). I've followed every other possible instruction given by either HP or these forums (disabling firewalls, startup services, uninstalling and re-installing HP software, etc.) and still, every time, a connection error whether we use Wi-Fi or USB.
We are getting really desparate to use this beautiful machine to its fullest potential - someone please help!

What is the IP address of your modem? What is the IP address of the router? With a 10.x.x.x IP tells me you may have a double NAT situation at home. This basically means your router will change it's IP to 10.x.x.x because it's default IP is the same as the modem. Connect just to your modem and what is the IP? Now connect JUST your router, no other connection to the modem, and what is it's IP?
You can use a cmd prompt and just type in ipconfig. What is listed as the Default Gateway for both?

Updated itunes, error message about mobile popped up during installation, then after installation, tunes will not start. gives error that a dll file is missing.

I downloaded the new Itunes version. During installation, there was an error message that said no Mobile access. After installation, Itunes would not open. Gave an error message that a DLL file was not found. Removed itunes from computer and initiated new download. Same problem with new download. Still does not open. I'm stumped. I have over 30,000 files in itunes and use it every day HELP

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

While installing the BC DS based on the Data flow the error occurs, Normally the Shortdump if you select much Object at Grouping with Dataflow before after based on the time lines.
The Connectivity / RFC issues between the systems
The Data Init fails due to data inconsistencies.

Namely during PREP_EXTENSION/EHP_INCLUSION! phase i got error:

When checking components of ECC system I did not found 'WEBCUIF' component whereas in xml file (generated by SOLMAN) it exists. Which direction I should take. I am afraid to delete entries in xml file.

You need to download and install all requirements as selected by Solution Manager for EHP4, WEBCUIF is a required component. Do not delete any entries in the xml file.

Error during installation phase when upgrading from oracle 10 to 11g

We have going to upgrade oracle 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.3 in SAP ECC 6.4(DB:oracle, OS:AIX6.1). By mistake I run RUNINSTALLER from wrong path oracle/stage/11203 <dump folder>/database instead of SAP folder.it gives some error message during installation but i continue to installation and installation is completed.
now i worried about error and and wrong path selection, i removed manually new oracle home folder 112_64 and continue to new installation from proper path but now i am getting below error when running RUNINSTALLER from SAP folder
"[INS-10008] Session Initialization failed".and log are as
ERROR) - Oracle Database software installation finished with errors.

Ive been trying to install Adobe Photoshop CS4 trial for the past 3 days.
The only reason I want to try it is because of its ability to create textures directly on models.
But whenever I try to install, I get this error

Disable any anti virus running on Windows 7. Disable windows defender.
Go into start and type in services, click on services, and look for Windows Installer. Turn it from Manual to Auto and hit apply, then start the service and hit ok. close services.
Make sure you run the PS CS4 installer as Admin!!
No need to turn off UAC or the firewall.
Before you run CS4 right click and select properties and run it as Admin.
When you are ready to run CS4 for the first time make sure your connect to the internet. Also update CS4 to 11.0.1 update. Also ensure your video card drivers are up to date
