Unable to start OID server on Linux. Getting OS error 98.

Tried to start the oidldapd server after starting oidmon.
oidctl connect=orcl server=oidldapd instance=2 host=oraidm configset=0 flags="-p 389" start.
The command line message shows the server is started successfully. But in the server trace file, i see this error..

Tried cleaning up ods_process table in the backend database. Also tried starting oid with different instance nos. Gives the same error every time.
Can you please tell me if i am missing any thing.

Sometimes 'oidmon start' starts of ldap deamon (ldapd). Try the following:
-> Stop all processes (oidldapd, oidmon).
-> Do 'oidctl connect=<sid_name> status'
-> Ensure all processes are down.
-> Do 'oidmon start'
-> Do 'oidctl connect=<sid_name> status'
-> Check if the 'oidldapd' starts off successfully.
-> In case it hasn't started, start the oidldapd using the oidctl.
And, why is 'oidldapd' being tried to start with instance=2 with configset=0?
If you want to start another oidldap deamon, make another configset.

Not able to start weblogic server 10.1 getting the error

I have installed weblogic 10 on solaris 8. when i am trying to start the application i am getting the following error.

To connect WebLogic Server instances with Coherence clusters, coherence.jar must be referenced from applications in one of the following ways:
EAR scoped: Referenced as a shared library in weblogic-application.xml (recommended) or embedded in APP-INF/lib
WAR scoped: Embedded in an application in WEB-INF/lib
Server scoped: Can be put on the system classpath
Can you try to set the coherence.jar in the classpath of the new managed server node (i.e in the startup script) and start the new managed server instance?

Unable to Start Admin server Java Lang NoClassFound Exception Error

I am getting java lang NoClassFoundException error while starting the admin server. Its a new installation, i am trying to start from domain_home\bin\Startweblogic.cmd
Please let me know if you have any solution on that. I am using 11.1.1.6.

In Admin Console We are unable to start Managed Server.

Hi,
We are using Weblogic 10.3.1.0 version.
Totaly 4 Managed Severs
1 Admin Server
with Nodemanger.
In Admin Console When ever we going to Stop the Manged Servers.
1. Environment ----- > Servers ---- > Control ----------- > Mananged Server 1 -----------> Force shutdown
2. Then click refresh button ---- showing "FAILED_NOT_RESTARTABLE"
3. after that when ever we going to start the Managed Server in Admin console
First its Showing ----- Starting
and next its showing ----- FAILED_NOT_RESTARTABLE
4. its not coming to Running State.

Guys,
It seems that the start scripts replaced while upgrading the domain did not have right class paths as the previous start scripts had which were created while creating the domain originally. Copying the necessary Class paths makes the new start scripts to work fine.

Hi,
When I try o run my ADF-BC application in JDeveloper 10.1.3.4 I get the following error,

if presentation server is not starting then you need to look in sawaerver.log and for opmn look in opmn.log not in weblogic logs

DS 5.2 unable to start admin server after OS upgrade

Hi,
We upgraded our server from Solaris 9 to Solaris 10 this past weekend. After putting back all the libraries we were able to start the admin server (start-admin). I'm getting and error:

1) Make sure that Weblogic Node Manager is running at background.
2) Make sure that all weblogic Managed Servers related to OIM (port 14000) and OID 11g LDAP Port 3060, LDAPS Port 3131, wls_ods1 (DIP & ODSM) is running on 7005 and WebLogic Admin Server is running on Port 7001.
3) Check whether all the OID Services are running by following commands
a. export ORACLE_INSTANCE=/u01/app/oracle/admin/oid1_inst
b. $ORACLE_INSTANCE/bin/opmnctl status

Can any once please tell me where I am doing wrong. This was working fine before. I shut down for taking backup and after that OID is not coming up.

Very often the OID does not start because in the ods.ods_processes table entries exist. Remove these and retry.

Unable to start tomcat server

hi,
i want to develop simple application using servlets.i ve installed apache tomcat4.1 version.i ve compiled my servlet program successfully.but when i am trying to start tomcat server,it is showing some error.i ve set the callspath too.
the error is:
The JAVA_HOME environment variable is not defined correctly
This environment variable is needed to run this program
Using CATALINA_BASE: ..

Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: ..\temp
Using JAVA_HOME: c:\jdk1.5.0_05;
The system cannot find the file -Dsun.io.useCanonCaches=false.

Every time I TRY to start firefox 18-19 I get an error message : "Firefox has stopped working" - "close the program and check online for a solution" - or - "close the program" this happens TWICE every time I try to start firefox. Eventually after a random number of tries firefox will start normaly. I am useing firefox 19.0.2 now bit I belive it started when I upgraded to firefox 18 but am not sure, it might have been when I upgraded to firefox 19 ... but it has been happening for a very long time and I cannot find any helpfule solutions online.

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
* Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
* Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
* Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
