Unable to use IN clause with omniportlet

I am attempting to use a stored procedure with omniportlet. I have put together an IN clause in my sql statement that will not work. I think it is because of the way omniportlet handles tics, or something.
I had a similar post on using an ORDER BY with omniportlet that I suspect is a related error.
I am trying to use omniportlet, but I must confess that I am not very impressed. The SQL part of omniportlet leaves a lot to be desired.
Does anyone know when there will be a new version?

Thanks for your response. Do you know if the new portaltools/omniportlet contains the fix for the problem in this thread? I have an open tar and I know there is a bug report on it, just don't know status.

I try to use an IN clause like this ('item1','item2','item3'). If I type it in, it works. I am feeding it via a picklist from a dynamic page. If I choose 1 item, it works. If I pass more than one item and try to build my string in the stored procedure for the IN to use, I can't get it to work. I have tried creating a list with the tics and commas, leaving off the first and last tics and just using the ones in the rest of the string.
NOTHING WORKS. I have an insert inside my stored procedure that puts the string I am building inside a test table, so I know what I am using works in SQL/PLUS. Just not omniportlet. I suspect it is the same kind of problem referenced in the above url.
There is a bug with using omniportlet when your IN clause is a variable.

i need to use the IN clause in my SQLJ sql. for example: #sql
{ select p.customer_name from customers p where p.state IN ('IL','MI','CA') };
The above works, but when i try to pass in an array param

{ select p.customer_name from customers p where p.state IN (:arr) }; - where arr is an array, this does not work. Later i understood that since IN is a keyword, this will not work. Is there any fix or workaround for this ? i dont want to embed SQL as a string in my java code ? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

This question is asked with incredible frequency on JDBC/SQLJ related newsgroups, forums and similar Web sites (even on Ask Tom).
As far as I know, what you wish to do is not possible. The best you can do is something like this:
select p.customer_name from customers p where p.state IN (?,?,?)But please, don't take my word for it, search the Internet for other possibilities.

Unless this is a new iPhone 5 I believe the older ones will work with iOS6 and iTunes 10.6.3. If it won't, you will need to upgrade operating system version.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output andWi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.

Unable to use 'copy' feature with registered version of quicktime pro.

I have a registered version of Quicktime pro (7.1.6), and i am unable to use the copy feature. I captured several videos from work using a windows box and an application whose name escapes me at the moment. Due to the windows app being garbage, i was only able to capture in MPEG1 format (MPEG2 caused the app to crash, of course). I have brought the files home and am now unable to copy selections of it for exporting into smaller files. I can highlight lengths of the video (no audio, just video) but the 'copy' feature is grayed out still. Any ideas on what is causing this? The video format is as follows:
MPEG1 Muxed, 640 x 480
FPS: 29.97
Data rate: 4066.42 kbits/sec
I'm running 10.3.9, but have also had no success on a 10.4 macmini, so the OS doesn't seem to be the issue.
I'm trying to get this video into imovie, but since it's over 600 megs, imovie cops out after a few hours and says it can't import it.
Help?

Not all multiplexed videos come with AC3. They don't have to have audio in the first place. Some of them come with Linear PCM, which is the case for iDVD's VOB files, and MP2. If a multiplexed video is equipped with AC3, you are right, and the resulting modified sub-clip won't contain audio. But if it's Linear PCM or MP2, the edited sub-clip will contain audio.

Is there any way to use a prepared statement for a query which incorporates an in clause with unknown number of elements in the list?

Sorry, can't be done. The PreparedStatement is precomplied, so you can't have variable number of params or unknown number of elements in a list.

Unable to Use Star Rating With JPG

I have been unable to use the star rating with a certain batch of jpgs. I am able to use the star rating with dng files, and other jpgs, but there is a batch that I got off of my friends computer that I am unable to use the star rating with. I have tried clicking on the stars, and also through the label tab, but nothing is working. Its really annoying because rating the pics is part of my workflow and I want to get these picture done.

Still strange things going on in the digital world...
Recently I had the same with jpeg from other (to me unknown) sources. I managed with opening in PS and again save as max quality (not ideal but it worked). Those were only a few files.
You might first try a few files to open and close in PS, if no luck make a duplicate (select some files for testing and with right mouse click choose duplicate) try those first. If still out of luck try the open and save as option. If this is the only solution the you can create a temporarily action for this in PS (don't change the filename when in save as but leave it untouched and choose a new folder for destination so you won't loose the originals). When in Bridge select the files for the action, choose tools/photoshop/batch and run the action, piece of cake.

This is not a correct syntax. Use multiple between condition with "OR".

I am trying to map Top 25 most visited locations from the data I have. I wrote following query which has correct syntax but I am unable to get the Top 25 results. When the query get processed I am getting following warning:

I have seen in Apple Support Forum that you have the same problems with Audiosuite Plug Ins like me. Allways crashes with Autotune, Vocal align and Speed and others in Audio Suite. Logic is a terrible program.
Do you have a solution for me. The only solution I have is to change to MOTUs digital performer. I had to use Logic cause I need Real Guitar. Realguitar doesn't work with my Protools HD2 under PT 6.9. and 7.1. I tried to use FXpansions VST to RTAS wrapper, but this hack doesn't work with complicated plugIns only with simple ones.
Since Apple bought Emagic I have problems. I was friend with the main programmer of Logic in Hamburg. Since Apple is the owner there is no personal contact anymore, no good support, nothing. I don't need the logic synthesizers, samplers and plugins. They are all terrible in sound. I have all importend plug ins in TDM, RTAS, AS - so why logic? For Scores I use Finale.
And if someone like me or you will have a solution for the AS problem there is no one to help you anymore.

[SOLVED] Unable to use SUDO: issues with /etc/sudoers

I have reinstalled Arch_64 and I have run into some problems with SUDO.
I get the following errors when I try to use sudo:
sudo : unable to stat /etc/sudoers : Permission Denied
sudo : no valid sudoers sources found, quitting
sudo : unable to initialize policy plugin
Here's what I have done with it so far:
* I added USERNAME (myself) to the 'wheel' group
* I uncommented %wheel ALL=(ALL) All using visudo
As it was not working for me I also:
* # chown -c root:root /etc/sudoers
* # chmod -c 0440 /etc/sudoers
* Since that too did not work, I recommented %wheel and added USERNAME ALL=(ALL) ALL just under the line root ALL=(ALL) ALL and repeated the above steps. The above problem persists.
* I checked with visudo -c and it says "/etc/sudoers parsed ok".
I have been through the WIKI and the forums but still unable to figure out whats going wrong.
I will appreciate if the forum can guide me to solution and help me resolve this issue.

Had exactly the same problem with a new Arch_64 install a few months ago, which turned out to be a problem with permissions on / (which i changed with chmod) - can't remember the details, but it was this post that put me on to a solution:

I'm unable to use the domain with a .uk domain suffix with 2012 essentials

I'm trying to link a domain I wish to use in office 365 to the essentials server but I receive "The domain name is not valid"when going through the "link domain to Office365" wizard, I also receive the same error when running through
the anywhere access wizard, but I expect fixing one would fix the other.
The domain in question is using the .uk domain which is a fairly new TLD
I have tried the solution proposed here:

My advice would be to use the free *.remotwebaccess.com domain name with the RWA wizard, and then setup a forwarder on your custom domain to the RWA page.

Using where clause with like

Hi all,
im trying to set a block default where clause in the pre-query trigger of my block "customer_settlement" , to query the records that exist in a customers table like this, where the customer_name is variable based on the value entered by the user in enter-query mode before hitting the F8 key , the statement is :

the query doesnt work and giving me an error " unable to perform query" , notice that :customer_settlement.customer_name is an item in the block , the user change it and would like to query upon it , and its not a base table item on customer_settlement block its on customers table only . I tried all combinations of '%' and || but it seems that oracle can't see the value In the customer_name field.
any help is highly thanked.
im using Oracle form 9.0.4 and Oracle 10g Db.
