Unable to view enhanced field in Data Source

Hi All,
We recently upgraded our R/3 system from 4.7 to ECC 6.0. Now when we are enhancing the data source, the field is visible in the Extract Structure. But we are unable to view it in the data source. We checked out in RSA2 the enhanced field attribute is specified as 'Field in OLTP and BW Hidden by SAP'. We have written code to modifiy the ROOSFIELD table to make the enahnced field visible. But this is the problem with all the data sources. Whenever, we have to enahnce, we have to go thru this process to make the enhanced field visible.
Is it like that we missied out any patch in ECC 6.0 while upgrade? If any person faced similar situation, please help us.

Hi Ravi,
I think you are missing a step here. As soon as you enhance your datasource with new fields, by default, those 2 check boxes are checked ( Hidden and Field in User exit only). You go to RSA6, edit your datasource and here, you can uncheck these added fields so that you can use them. You do not need to write any code to change the fields settings in ROOSFIELD table. Do the step I mentioned above after enhancing and you should be good. Hope it helps.

How to make enhanced fields of data source delta enabled?

I have a scenario, in which we are using the DS 0CUSTOMER_ATTR to load the master data.There are some fields added to this data source but this fields are not delta enabled. I have tested these fields from R/3 side using BDCP, CDPOS tables. All the fields are writing the changes correctly. But when extracting them using delta they are not capturing.If we load the full,it is capturing all the changes.
So running full load every week is taking more time.
Can any one suggest how to make this fileds delta enabled to capture the change in BW side as well to extract only changed records?
Any help will be greatly appriciated !

HI,
It is not possible to load delta this data. Your datasource only detects changes in the customer table and when any customer has been modified the record is loaded to BW. In this moment the datasource fill the append extructure.
The problem is that if you modifies some record from the append extructure the datasources doesn't detects the changes. When you does a full load you are filling the append extructure for the entire records and it works.
If you want to catch this deltas you should make a delta datasource for CDPOS but depending on the number of records of the tables it won't be possible.
You could check if there is any event to detects the modification and create a delta queue datasource for the append extructure.
Then, you can mix both datasources in a DSO in BW.

Enhancing the standard Data source without deleting setup tables

I am in the the Support Project. My requirement is I want to Enhance u201C2LIS_13_VDITMu201D LO- data source with two fields without disturbing the delta.
Please suggest me how I have to do this.
As Per my Knowledge ,
1. we have to delete setup tables
2. Enhance the data source & re populate the setup tables.
3. Delete the data in the cube & add the two new fields in the cube & repopulate the cube with new Initial .
4. after that delta will be enabled through job control.
But this process is not suitable for our requirement because delta was enabled long back it is going very smooth till date, I donu2019t want to disturb that process.
So please suggest me is there any other procedure to do this.

Hi,
If historical data (loaded earlier in to BW) are not required for the two enhance field, then it is not required to deleted the setup table and reload them to BI.
In this case simply you can follow the following procedure.
1. Enhance the fields, and update the transfor structure(to unhide these fields). In BI update the required data target with respective IO. and in exit populate the enhance fields. No need to disturb the delta
2. Replicated the DS in BI and do the mappings in tranformation.
Here the existing delta is working, and you will be populating the two fields in the exit only.

After idoc regenration unable to view the field in IDOC

Hi,
I have enhanced the business partner by EEWB.
After tha i have regenarted the message type CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE and bo type BUS1006 by Tcode BDFG.
After that also i am unable to view the field in Basin type CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE01 [message type CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE ].
New Zfield added through EEWB is available in CRMXIF_PARTNER_COMPLEX structre.But not coming in IDOC.
Please advice.

Hi,
From your thread i have understood that the EEWB extended fields have not appeared in the IDoc after regeneration.
For the customer enhancements there are some of the XIF segments provided by SAP to transport them to IDoc structure.
Now that you have added the customer fields using EEWB. Please add the fields
to CRMXIF_CUSTOMER_H and then regenerate the IDOC using BDFG.
After extending these above mentioned structure kindly regenerate the Idoc Structures. I recommend
not to add the enhancement fields to the CRMXIF_PARTNER_COMPLEX structure which might lead
to inconsistency.
You can make use of CRMXIF_CUSTOMER_H for customer enhancements.

Hi Hari,
If you choose Select fields, you'll be able to filter this IO in Selection tab of infopackage (set IO's value(s) to be loaded).
In case of hide field you'll not have it in the transfer structure at all.

I resolved the issue.Follow the steps
1)Go to Central Admin->System Settings->Manage Farm Solutions (Under Farm Management)
2)Check if "powerpivotwebapplicationsolution.wsp" is there and is deployed for the webapplication under which you are creating report by verifying
Deployed to:,if not then deploy that for your web application.

Addition of new field in Data Source.

Dear Experts,
I want to add new field in full upload data source based on Table view. After adding field in table & i have modifited data sorce in R/3 220 client. It is showing that field but in r/3 200 client it not showing that field , when i using t. code rsa3 for data extracting.
Please suggest me , while editing data source it creating request , that also reflected in 200 client .

Please give me steps , how to edit/ add field. Because the added field showing in data sourse, in 200 & 220 client. But If i am extracting data through t. code rsa3 , it does not show added field.
As suggested t.code SCC1 . the request is already on 220 & 200 without using t.code.

How to enhance open Item data source from R/3 ??

I am trying to enhance the business content extractor for open items in R/3 . The data source is 0FC_OP_01. i know this is coming from the table DFKKOP.
I need to add sub GL ffield rom another table from DFKKOPK .
Please advise the step by step to enhance the existing structure and add the new field to the extractor.

please check out the forums, there are lot of threads about the issue 'how to enhance a datasource'. Just to give you a hint. Use transaction rsa6 in your source system for that. Here you can enhance the extract structure, the datasource and you can do the coding...

Enhancement means in the SAP given datasource If you want to add extra fields.
The procedure is like below.
Take the datasource in which you enhance.
1. If you enhancing in the LO datasaource, take the aprapriate communication strucute append the structure in that structure add the fields you wnat enhance.
If you are enhancing other than LO you take extract structure append the structure and add the fields in that structure.
2. Goto LBWE Tcode take the option called "Maintain Extract structure" take the fields which you enhanced from pool take push in to extract strucure.
If you enhancing other than LO no need to do this.
3. Goto RSA6, take datasource, goto change mode. The enhanced fields Hide option checked, reomove that tick and save it.
4. Goto "CMODE" tcode, If project is already created for that enhancement goto disply mode. If the project is not created give the project name created and give the enhancemet name as "RSAP0001" and save it.
in the component you can find 4 Function modules
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001 -> Transaction Data
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_002 -> masterdata attributes
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_003 -> Master data Texts
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_004 -> Masterdata Hirarchies.
Take the apprapriate FM and double click on it
there you can find Include name. If you double click on it you can find ABAP editor.

How to populate data for a field in data source

Hi
I have a field(VGBEL) in the data source 2LIS_11_VAITM, but i do not have data in it. I will have to populate data into it for that, I guess i need to write some ABAP code .My question is where should i write the code.
P.S If I have to write in the functional module or user exit how do i know the relavent functional module or user exit for the particular data source

there will not be different user exit for each datsource. check this thread for the steps, which are general for any datsource.

How to Data source enhancement i.e Transactional data
you need to write your code in function module EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001 .

Can't add field in data source 0CRM_OPPT_I

Hi,
I have earlier added several fields to this data source but this time I have a peculiar issue, This is what I did
1> RSA6--> DISPLAY THE DATA SOURCE double click on the extract structure> go to append structure --> add new field ZZ... and activated the append structure
2> confirm that the new field is available in the extract structure CRMT_BW_OPPT_I .
3> GO TO RSA6 --> change data source 0CRM_OPPT_I, the new field should be available for me to unhide.. Here is my problem the field is not at all available. And therefpore the field is not included in the data source..
What can I do to resolve this..

i think normally you can select the Enhance extract structure option directly from RSA6 transaction . You dont need to go to display and->then select the extract structure-> then append
coming you your append structure .is it active ?

ABAP code to enhance a standard data source

Hi BW experts,
I am a novice in BW and I need to append a standard datasource 0DAT_SRC with a field FLD1 from table TABL1.Extract structure: EX0001.
Can anybody please suggest how this can be done?I guess it requires some ABAP coding to be done in the conversion exits.

Following are the steps to enhance Standard Data source.
1. goto tc RSA6.
2. Select the Data Source which you want to enhance.
3. Select display Data Source (Ctr+f2)
4. Double click on the Extract structure.
5. click on the Append Structure.
6. Add the required fieds starting with ZZ*.
7. Avtivate the Append Structure.
To populate the data into this field you must have a project created to access the FM 'EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001'.
to Create Project code goto tcode: CMOD
1. Enter the Project name and click on create
2. go to components select the required function module.
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001 for Transactional DS (RSR000
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_002 for Master DS
Goto SE37 and enter the Respective Function module (ex . EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001) and click on the include zxxxxx. then write the code to populate the extra fields added to the DS.
Sample code:
CASE i_datasource.
WHEN '2LIS_11_VAITM'.
loop at c_t_data into work_ar.
do some selections, some calculations ....
append work_ar to c_t_data. " add a new record
modify c_t_data from wa. " change the existing record

Unable to view the Fields inside Segment

Hi,
We are doing IDOC---File scenario
We have one IDOC "WPDWGR01" in R/3 and we imported that into IR.
When we are doing the mapping, that time we are unable to see the fields that inside this "E1WPW02" segment.
We have BEZEICH and VERKNUEPFG fields inside that segment.
We loaded the metadata also freshly by deleting the existing one.And we did the SXI_Cache also
When we Expanded (when we clicked E1WPW02 Seg )on the tree structure of the Imported IDOC from the Imported Objects, it is saying that "Schema for type WPDWGR01.E1WPW02 (category Data Type) not found"
And we are seeing the the Segments in Red color and no fields inside those segments
This is the Standard IDOC only, there is no Enhancements

It happens in the following case:
1) It was being edited by somebody and you imported the IDoc at the same time. ( some segments were locked and that is why few fields were missing)
2) check if the field level customization is done in that client , try to import it from some other client.

Adding new field to data source -can not see them

I have added 4 fields to the data source 0FI_AA_11 .
I can able to see these fields in the append structure or in RSA2,but i can not able to see in RSA6.I reactivated append structure ,still i can not see these fields in RSA6.
Please advice me how can i see them in RSA6.
