Unblocking a number

when unblocking a number do all the texts come through?
they dont have imsg so would be texts if that makes a difference.
thanks

If you block a number no calls or texts from that number will come through.
If you unblock the number, they can once again call and text but any texts sent while their number was blocked will not show up.

The battery percentage indicator needs to be calibrated. For that, you need to drain down the battery way to 3-4% and charge it back to 100% without any interruptions. Let it get charged for 15 min more even if it's showing that it's fully charged and can be disconnected. No hardware problems as such!

  • TS4160 How do I unblock my number, iPhone 5

How do I unblock my number on the iPhone 5?

Well contact them again and see if they will unlock the phone for you if you pay 80 Euros.  They may or they may not, but in the end, even if you think it is stupid it is down to your phone company/carrier how they set their unlocking policies and if they say that they won't unlock the phone for 2 years, then that is it.  There is nothing more that you can do.
If you knew that you were going to travel and needed to use your phone with local sim cards, then why did you not purchase an officailly unlocked iPhone 5 in the first place from a country that sells unlocked iPhones and then you would not have had this problem?  This makes no sense.
Your only other options are to continue to use your iPhone - you still can but you just use the international roaming feature whilst travelling or you purchase another cheaper phone that is unlocked that you can use whilst travelling with local sim cards.
There is really nothing that you can do about this if your carrier won't unlock the phone and perhaps you should have purchased an unlocked iPhone in the first place if you knew that you were going to need it for travelling.

        Hello PastorDWG
I would be happy to assist you. Is your number blocked on their end? Does your number show as blocked on all calls and messages? Or is their number blocked on your account? If so, You can manage that here: http://bit.ly/xB4iTc

  • How do i unblock a number that i blocked last year:((

it doesnt come out as a blocked number in my account:(

Did you use the free blocking option for up to five phone numbers? If yes, then the block expired 90 days after you added it and the number wasn't blocked anymore.

  • If i iMessage someone and then block their number before they 'read' it, when i unblock them will it tell me what time/date they read the message?

I imessaged a person and it said delivered, i then blocked the number and a couple of weeks later when i had unblocked the number, the message still had 'delivered' and no read receipt. This person always has read receipt. Did this happen because i blocked them? or why?

problem, i think, for now... resolved.
i deleted the preference file for bluetooth, restarted, first attempt didnt work, though it did show up a keyboard with a long number as its name, used auto generated passkey here, didnt work. 2nd attempt, i then saw the name AV's keyboard, decided to use my own passkey '1234', worked!
bluetooth is strange, there must 5 methods for connecting these **** keyboards!

  • How to unblock a blocked number?

Recently I was trying to block a number and I accidentally blocked the wrong number (oops!)
How do I get this number to become unblocked without waiting the 90 days?

    Hello linzersrozers,
You may unblock a number that is currently blocked by signing into your My Verizon account and choosing block calls & messages under the plan tab.  You would then click in the box with the number that is currently blocked and erase the number and select apply.  You can also have customer service do this for you if you have problems or PM myself and I will further assist as well.  Please let me know if this helps.  Thank you.

You don't.  call blocking is not a feature of the phone.  Your carrier is wrong.

  • Is there any way to block calls from "blocked number"

I would like to be able to block calls from numbers that show up in my caller ID as "Blocked".  I dont really care who they are I want them to share their number or I dont' want them to call. Is there anyway to do this? I am not talking about the restricted numbers just the ones that people have chosen to block. They can all do the *## and unblock their number when they call my phone if they really want me to answer it!

Nothing annoys me more than receiving a blocked call, barnmother! The good news is that we have an option to prevent these calls from reaching your phone. Usage Controls will allow you to block unwanted calls and much more. • PL and Blocked Number

So I have had suspicion of my phone being "tracked" recently. This suspicion was furhered by the appearance of "pl" right underneath a contact that I was blocking. Then I deleted the blocked number and the pl disappeared with it. what does this mean??

  • Rejecting a "Blocked Number" call on my 3G

Is it possible to automatically reject a call from a blocked number, or is that a function of the provider? On my old phone (Razr, T-Mobile) if someone who had their number blocked tried to make a call to me, they received a message saying that I was refusing calls from blocked numbers and to unblock their number and try the call again.
Yesterday I received a call and the phone displayed "Blocked Number" - It was a telemarketer. After the call, I looked through the settings and could not find anything that would allow me to reject blocked (or hidden) numbers. I saw where I could hide my number, but that's not what I want.
On a side note, I do have a contact made with a whole list of numbers and set to a "silent ring" as a way of "blocking" telemarketers, but when the number is blocked, I cant add it to the contact.
    I have a 3G running iOS 4.01 (if that makes a difference)
    Thanks
    Jim

I am on the DNC registry - but that is the problem, I do business with one section of one company. I have an AmEx card. I am being pestered by their vacation subsection. They call about once every 4 weeks asking if I want to have a great vacation in Florida (I live in Florida). . .The other company is one I dont do business with and never concluded any business with. Carnival Cruise. Last year, I was looking to take my wife on a cruise but chose Royal Caribbean instead, yet I am still called by Carnival. Funny, now that I think about it, RC never calls me and they are the ones I went with. . .
These are two of the few that I have listed on the "Silent Ring" contact. . .

how can i see a detailed call log including actual numbers on restricted calls

You won't see the numbers if the call came in as restricted...that's the point of a caller blocking their number.
You can pay for a service like TrapCall that will give you the restricted numbers.  Or you can use a service (free) like DitchMail that gives callers a recording asking them to unblock their number and call back, if the call comes in with the number blocked.  It then hangs up without giving them the opportunity to leave a message.

  • Why are we paying over $300 a month for a family plan that doesn't include call blocking or decent voicemail services?

I am a member of a shared family plan which as I see it posted our bill is over $300 a month, which does not include unlimited data, family protection (which allows you to permanently block numbers vs there 30 or 90 day limit if you are not covered) <---- this requires you to constantly be on alert of something so ridiculous that it shouldn't be concerned with, and finally they do not offer an upgraded voicemail service.  So my voicemail asks me to enter pin than right to messages.  It does not tell me the following:  The date the call was made, the time the call was made, nor any other pertinent information regarding the call aside from the number and than the message.  It's frustrating because I miss a lot of calls these days due to volume controls and silent modes and ring tones that aren't loud enough that I need to know when calls are received.  I don't ever remember having to pay for an upgraded voicemail service, that's like hiring a firm to handle all my incoming calls.  I want my answering machine back.  I have many other issues to include Verizon's online chat service which has at least one major issue.  I won't bring that up here.  The question is how much more money can they get for a simple cell phone plan?  For christ's sake.

The free voicemail is basic which gives you the date and time of the message. If you want more you should pay for more. Also, some Android phones with KitKat have free Visual Voicemail.
Thank you for your feedback, but my phone gives me no choice and it most certainly does not state the date and time that the message was received.  The only way for me to know that is if I happen to check exactly the phone log around the same time that the message was left, else it is buried underneath other more recent and answered calls.  And seriously man, the whole pay more idea is getting a bit far-fetched.  There is no reason why I should be able to buy a portable mini answering machine for a one time payment of $14.99 with a reusable blank tape, they don't have these and we'd look ridiculous carrying them around with everything else, but the point is we are giving permission to charge for some ridiculous things that should not be paid more for.  My old answering machine worked just fine, and more importantly I have never paid for an "upgraded" voicemail service.  As I mentioned if I want that I can hire a service to do that, but I don't need that.  I hope you can understand my growing concerns.  We pay for every little in-app purchase, we are being programmed to pay for everything that should already be includedfdasf in an initial price, brought home and enjoyed for its duration.  Instead wesdfsdf are paying monthly fees and dues on objects that aren't covered by warranties or insurances which eventually break and leave people struggling to pick up the pieces.  These are serious issues because people now rely so much on their phones (of course this is all my opinion) that we've become depandent on them.  Anyway, thanks, appreciate all the feedback.
As for blocking this is what it states on my plan under the blocking feature tab:
You can block calls and message from up to 5 phone numbers at no charge.
Expiration. Blocks expire after 90 days. Be sure to reapply the block if you wish to continue the service restriction. To permanently block numbers, subscribe to FamilyBase*.
    Limitations.
You cannot block numbers within your account or non-10 digit numbers such as 911,411 or #MIN (checks minutes used).
Apple® iMessage® won't be blocked. Messages from this service can be blocked by disabling the iMessage feature from within the Settings>Messages menu of your Apple device.
Unblocking. To unblock a number, highlight and delete the number, then click "Submit".
So there's the limits, but even worst is they don't include a simple field where I can put the name of the individual I am blocking.  So when it comes time to maybe rotate one out (this should be an unlimited number), one of the many 5 I can choose to block, I might not remember who is who or what is what.  I have a lot of responsibilities in my life, this is not one that should be pushed on the consumer.  It's ridiculous.

  • How to edit phone numbers in contacts for text messages

My number is blocked so others can't see my phone number.  In order to unblock my number for friends and relatives, I added *82 in front of those phone numbers in my contact list to override the block and show my number.  So here's the problem -- when I want to send a new text message to someone in my contact list (whose number is preceded by *82), I need to edit the number to remove those extra characters in order to be able to send a text message to them.  Is there any way I can edit the phone number from within the messaging function?
    Thanks.

I am havng a similar problem that I can't figure out. I have mutiple numbers for each contact. i.e. mobile with *82, mobile without *82 for texting, home number, work number etc...  I would like for them to come up in a spicific order. The two mobile numbers first and then home and work. That way I can get to the mobile numbers first as those are most used. Also so to save time knowing that all contacts are in the same order.  So far it has been random for each contact. Some come up mobile first either with or without *82, others come up home first and some come up work first. I have tried deleting the entire contact and starting over thinking that the first number you enter becomes the primary. That didn't work. Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance
